6801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to deal with greed whilst trading? on: April 15, 2019, 04:05:22 AM
The ability to control your emotions differs a good from an exceptional good trader, that is very hard to do and needs a lot of experience.

Try to plan your trades before you place them:
- whats your entry point
- whats your stopp loss
- whats your take profit point

And dont change those values as soon as you placed your order.
6802  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn Bitcoins in a crippled country? on: April 15, 2019, 03:26:29 AM
That is very sad to hear OP, really appreciate that you are trying to break out of this toxic system.

There are websites where one can offer jobs (redesign a website, program additional features for a tool, ... ) on a freelancer basis, the payment is done via BTC. All of those tasks require programming skills, not sure if you have them?

If not and you are interested in software development start an online course and try to learn it. This skill is needed worldwide and those jobs are usually paid very well.

6803  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start learning programming? on: April 14, 2019, 05:41:37 PM
I am a software developer myself and studied it in high school. High schools in my country usually teach Java as the first as programming language to freshmen.

I would also advise you to start a Java course if you are really interested in learning how to develop software. A well know Java book is called "Java in 21 days". Just search for it at Amazon Smiley

6804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum wage salary from real job compare to crypto earning which is better? on: April 14, 2019, 05:19:58 AM
Real jobs come with some other advantages like health insurances, retirement fund saving and corporate discounts.
It causes lot of interaction and create social circles. I come to know about crypto by my colleagues only so I guess job is also important.

Very good point. You have to compare your crypto-"job" with being an entrepreneur in terms of vacation, taxes and insurrances, at least here in Western Europe. So be sure to put about 50% of your income aside to pay taxes etc at the end of the year. As I said this is true for European countries, may differ in the country you live in.
6805  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to refund on: April 14, 2019, 04:23:33 AM
This thread shows why bitcoin is far away from being a payment option for the masses. People compare it to standard bank transfers and want to have support if anything unexpectedly happens. This is something Bitcoin wont have in the near future, but desperatly needed if we really want, that every non-tech savy guy can use it.

@OP ... I am very sorry that you got scamed and lost your coins. Next time you may use an escrow service which is a third person or company ensuring that the car really exists and the seller really gets his coins.
6806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: technical analysis is enough to be successful in trading ???? on: April 13, 2019, 06:20:42 PM
The cryptocurrency market is heavily driven by news. You have to be one of the first receivers of critical news like security leaks, states banning coins etc which usually have a huge impact on the price.
To get such news as soon as possible you have to play various media, beginning with twitter where news usually are posted immediatly. Blogs are often useful too, but they are usually lag behind other media.
6807  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Vertrauensvolle Börse(n) mit KYC. on: April 13, 2019, 05:52:37 PM
Ich persönlich hab mich selbst 3 mal KYC-ed:

6808  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum wage salary from real job compare to crypto earning which is better? on: April 13, 2019, 03:22:05 PM
Not only bounty campaign but also trading. Just in case if someone was really pursuing to gain more knowledge about this kind of environment. Is it enough source of income?
Regarding bounties ... times are over were you could earn a decent amount of money by taking part in eg. social media campaigns. The last three bounties I took part in didnt even reach the soft cap, means that they either didnt pay anything or a bunch of worthless, not listed tokens.

So better invest your time in education, this will definitly pay off Wink
6809  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Motivation for the NEWBIES on: April 13, 2019, 02:02:39 PM
Don't be foolish, this forum's traffic would reduce dramatically if people couldn't make money here.  Money makes the world go round and it is one of the biggest incentives for a human in modern times.
Thats definitly true, the forum would become very quiet, especially subforums like the altcoin section where in my opinion 90% of the posts are plain spam.

But I think what he is trying to say is that one should not promote this forum as a way of earning money to newbies because doing so definitly attracts the wrong kind of posters ...
6810  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best methods for an offsite backup? on: April 13, 2019, 09:50:27 AM
1- use a custom made encryption method instead of the regular ones. [...]
now you have a unique encryption method which you just have to remember these variables. and keep them secret only in your head.

Thats a pretty smart idea, but definitly nothing for the non-programmer type of person reading this :-D
Regarding your second advice ... wouldnt it be already safe enough if he splits his seed into 2 pieces, encrypts every piece by itself and stores it in two accounts, eg. dropbox and onedrive? Chances are next to impossible that someone cracks into two accounts, steals both of the encrypted files, gets both of the decryption keys and is able to merge the seeds, especially if he scrambles the seed, too (eg. swaps the first and the last word).

6811  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best methods for an offsite backup? on: April 13, 2019, 04:47:15 AM
Uploading your strongly encrypted key/seed to ProtonMail will definitly work for you. As long as you use a safe and strong enryption method with a rather long key to decrypt it wont be broken even if someone finds the file and knows whats in it.

To add an extra layer you could upload a wrong seed, eg swap the 13th and 14th word. I did this with my seed which is stored in a bank safe. Even if someone breaks into the safe and gets my seed its useless as long as you dont know which words have to be swept.
6812  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy stocks with crypto, can we? on: April 12, 2019, 07:47:21 PM
I knew a plattform called 1Broker back then where you could buy stocks etc with BTC. As far as I know they stopped their services, so if you know a successor please share the website!
6813  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block all suspicious email address on: April 12, 2019, 06:42:41 PM
Thanks for sharing your story. I would say this is common sense to not follow any mail links from mails you dont know the sender of. Such phishing attacks are nowadays very good, often only recognized by suspicious URLs, a lot of people are falling for such attacks each and every day
6814  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Making cryptocurrency part of the basic level of education curriculum on: April 12, 2019, 03:15:01 PM
Current primary and secondary school curricula dont even teach you how the current financial system built on dept is working. If they would, students would want to learn about cryptos by themself immediatly Wink
But I am with you, schools should definitly start teaching about emerging technologies, but thats definitly not something for a primary school curriculum!

There are 2 possible causes.

- The transaction might be rejected by the network(if the transaction is not yet included to the blocks for too long)
- The transaction might be sent but unconfirmed(possible doublespend)

I would like to add another option. Did the guy send you a link where you looked up the transaction? If yes its possible that this link was manipulated to show you a wrong transaction state. If not, it would definitly be very helpful if you could send us the TxID

6817  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is upbit safe? on: April 12, 2019, 03:51:41 AM
I strongly recommend that you dont use any exchange for storing your long term hodl coins. Chances that exchanges get hacked are VERY likely and you may lose all your money.
I dont know any of your coins but if they are ERC20 based simply setup up a MyEtherWallet and transfer your coins there (and dont forget to save your private key ;-)

6819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FIN] MatchBillion.com Signature Campaign | Full Members + | ETH + MBL Payouts on: April 11, 2019, 03:57:48 AM
Didnt post in the Gambling section till now, but this will definitly change. Would love to work with you!

Although this current campaign have ended but for future posses, I think you have to read this [Guide] Factors to consider before joining paid signature campaigns. especially NO5. Don't jump right into joining a campaign that wants posts in a board you aren't familiar with, it usually leads to participates posting off topic replies and most cases leads to spamming the board.

Thanks for the link! I am with you, posting in sections you are not familiar with will result in useless spam most of the time. I saw it as a chance to get to know the Gambling section of this forum what will I definitly do the next few days despite this campaign is over Wink hope you dont mind if I share the link in our local altcoin section in the German board?
