Anything happening with the coin? , the price isnt looking too good right now. At least we still earn out interest every day.
The dev has been silent for over a week now. That bothers me more than the price drop. If he doesn't show up soon, we may as well forget about SPC and move on.

Anyway, wallet features are being worked on, and SPC is still alive and kicking, just hold tight as new wallet will be coming soon Any news on that?

My quick suggestions:
- total portfolio value, in BTC by default, but with option to change to different currency. If possible a small indicator of daily change would be nice (ie green arrow up + "5%" next to it would indicate that total portfolio increased by 5% compared to 24 hours ago)
- GIVEAWAYS tab!!! Like the one on Poloniex. A certain amount available per 1 account and one ip. Great for devs to promote the coin (they would donate), great for users - they get free coins, great for exchange - drives up trade volume and attracts new users.
- [not sure has it been mentioned yet] Automatic orders. Example: I place an order to buy 10k DOGE at 100 satoshi, and when the order is complete (fully or partially?) automatic order to sell for 104 satoshi is placed. With the 'repeat' option, so it can go on and on.
- new web design? Some brighter background maybe, and logo more visible? Also the site doesn't work great with Opera browser, need to refresh every time after placing or canceling orders.
Any news on referral program?

Any chance you could add SaveCoin [SPC] market. It's really innovative, new coin with Proof of Funds feature, paying daily interest on any balance, with no need to wait for the coins to get old or keep the wallet open. See thread on bitcointalk for details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=570526.0 I'm sure it will get a decent trade volume. Also, the developer declared that if you add it, he will donate some SPC for the giveaway on your website, to promote the coin.

I think this coin is going nowhere at the moment. And the biggest problem is this huge premine.
Premines always worry potential investors. If the coin starts to rise significantly in value there is always a risk the dev could dump, leave the coin practically worthless, then disappear. I'm not saying this coin's dev will dump, just that it could deter potential investors. There's always either premine or instamine, otherwise the devs wouldn't have any incentive to develop/improve the coin. Also, ironically the huge premine sort of guarantee that the dev wouldn't dump it all at once. If the SPC had, say 50,000 premine, there would be a risk that Suresh would dump it all during first price spike and then disappear. With 1 million it's simply impossible. Therefore, from Suresh's point of view, the best way is to keep selling smaller amounts over long period of time and further developing/promoting the coin and try to drive the price up. Also, part of the premine can be used for giveaways, bounties etc. I hope to see SPC android wallet soon.

Just sent an email to Poloniex, asking them to add SPC market. Would be great if few more people could do the same. How can I get such-and-such coin listed on Poloniex? Send an email to poloniex@gmail.com and tell us about your coin. There is no set of rules, but we like to see evidence of the developers' dedication to the project, community interest, and, more than anything, innovation. If your coin is truly innovative in some way, it is more or less guaranteed to be accepted by Poloniex.

At allcrypt Deposits, withdrawals and trades are on hold at the moment. Just a notice I just saw at the time of this post.
Yup, but that's for all the markets not just for SPC. But according to Allcrypt, that's nothing major: Trading is on hold Update: Found the source of the error. Cleaning up, back online soon. A weird error happened last night and we're looking into it now. Instead of shuttng down the site, we halted trading and have a pause on deposits and withdrawals. Any deposits you send will arrive when we restart services, we hope within the hour. No hack, nothing lost, no need to worry, we're just making sure things are stable before we re-open things to minimize any risk. Thanks!

Submitted support request to MintPal & Cryptsy to correct name on voting page.
I also submitted a request to Bittrex with the information provided by Suresh to add it to their exchange.
They corrected the name on Mintpal

Can't wait for all the low prices to end and start trading in the 1000K + satoshi range where it should be. Just abit of patience I guess. Oh, and if you sold your SPC at 100K satoshi or less and you reading this, you just gave it away to a smart guy who bought it from you. What is the saying, you can take the donkey to the water, but you cannot force it to drink. Well, thanks for calling me smart Though, how do you come to the conclusion that SPC should be worth 1000K+? How is that calculated? And, maybe a stupid question but... for you who thinks the prices were ridiculously low, why didn't you buy it? (I am asking to learn, not to be a prick Good question, but don't expect a solid answer. Value of the coin is exactly as much as someone is willing to pay for it, not a satoshi more or less. The problem is some people here have forgotten that SPC is a new coin, it needs promotion and larger community. Buying up and holding on this stage makes no sense. I don't have a problem with people selling some of their SPC at a low price, giving the others a chance to own SPC and become a part of community. Long story short. SPC has a big potential, and its value can massively increase, but we need to promote it first.

SPC has been added to coinmarketcap.com , as SpeedCoin though. Price per SPC is $0.64 and market cap is $15.874.
Great to see it listed. But can't figure why they haven't included the premined 1 million in market cap calculation. They put a note: " ** Significantly Premined", so it should be nearly $700K not $15k imho

Emailed them again, hopefully we'll get a response Just thinking, since they made their email address public, they're probably getting tons of spam of all sorts, so they maight have missed it. If they don't reply within 2-3 days, let us know, we can start small email campaign, just to make sure they're aware of SPC

Suresh, have you contacted Poloniex? Not a major exchange but pretty popular. They don't have a voting list, but from their FAQ ( https://poloniex.com/faq): How can I get such-and-such coin listed on Poloniex? Send an email to poloniex@gmail.com and tell us about your coin. There is no set of rules, but we like to see evidence of the developers' dedication to the project, community interest, and, more than anything, innovation. If your coin is truly innovative in some way, it is more or less guaranteed to be accepted by Poloniex. If they really mean what they stated, they should add SaveCoin sraight away Also: Can I do a coin giveaway on Poloniex? If we've listed the coin and you fund the giveaway, absolutely! Just contact us at poloniex@gmail.com with the details—total amount, amount given per person, and around when you'd like it to go up. If SPC is listed there, you could do a giveaway, say 0.01 SPC per person, so for 10SPC you would get 1000 new people introduced to SaveCoin. Just saying

Looks like that coin is dead anyway. Launched on 1st Sep 2013, no blockchain explorer, not on any exchange, dev inactive. Nothing to be concerned

SaveCoin sounds good. But are we staying with [SPC] or should this also be changed (to "[SVC]"?)
You made a small error in OP: "SaveCoin (formally known as SpeedCoin)" - should be "formerly"

unfortunately bad for my SPC buy attempts Same here. Where are the dumpers when you need them the most...

Suresh, regardless of how the trademark discussion end up, it would probably benefit the status of your coin if you "coined" a new expression for your distribution(/interest) strategy. You say it is not a PoS, sure, but WHAT is it... ?
I do understand where you coming from but... this coin is PoW, there's an interest attached, but it has got nothing to do with mining/validating transactions. Using new "Po[Something]" would be just too confusing. Unless you name it something like "PoW/PoP" just as a marketing stunt (I like "PoP" btw). Yes, " marketing stunt" is what it is. Its power shouldn't be underestimated. At the same time, the idea is more than just a stunt since Speedcoin DO present a new innovation and deserves to highlight the innovation angle and benefit from it. I like PoP too. Another one is "Proof of Ownership"... PoO ... smell that! I have decided Proof of Balance Updated thread title and first post, thank you very much for the idea! Well done. "PoB" sounds good

Hi, mining newbie here. I need help. I am CPU mining (while waiting for heavier gear). My minerd is running, telling me about how "stratum detected new block", "thread 2: 118440 hashes", "2,50 khash/s" and so on....
However, at the PityThePool there is no sign that I am mining. My hash rate is 0 and it even says that I have no active workers... Now, I am at a loss what I do wrong. Can someone help please?
My CPU is running close to 100%, hash info is constantly running in the minerd, the pool doesn't seem to recognize any of this.
I don't mind sending off a couple of SPC to whoever can help a lost fellow in need. The idea of shutting down my computers at night instead of mining is... eeeh... me no like
What coin are you mining? Think the pool will show your speed after you have any shares accepted, with that speed it may take a while.

I see this on my Balance page (BTC):
"Possible deposit/withdrawal delay. No new blocks seen for 39 minutes"
What's this about? Is everything OK with your BTC wallet? I assume the bitcoin network is working fine, so it's a bit worrying.
EDIT: it's OK now

Suresh, regardless of how the trademark discussion end up, it would probably benefit the status of your coin if you "coined" a new expression for your distribution(/interest) strategy. You say it is not a PoS, sure, but WHAT is it... ?
You need to coin an expression that will originate from YOUR coin so it belongs to YOUR coin and not the next clone. Again... if a clone appears and the clone dev will make up the new word, weeks pass... then after a while, this new invention might come to "belong" to the clone coin since they came up with the word. Few people will bother to back track. This could be vital for the longevity and status of your coin.
My first suggestion is Proof of Possession , PoP, any other suggestions anyone...?
Whatever it is, you should use this new Po? to market your coin with in the very initial presentation of your coin (similar as what Fluttercoin is doing with Proof of Transaction).
