I also nominate Spoetnik

~BCX~

... And with BCX coming out of retirement to make a nomination, that puts Spoetnik on the list with 2 nominations. We're up to a total of 10 now, that's pretty solid. Just about everyone who should be on there I can think of has 2 or more nominations now, with the exception of Anonymint, perhaps. There's a bunch of lesser trolls who are decent at it but likely not to be #1.

Piston Honda comes to mind, along with some of the BCH-cum-BSV warrior fanbois, hv_, alevlaslo and ðºÞæ.

Among the more serious trolls are Khaos77, who hates bitcoin with a passion, and franky1, who beats on bitcoin so much only because he loves it...

Then you have the Meta and Reputation sockpuppet trolls which aren't even worth mentioning but they know who they are...
6802  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll: Vote for Bitcointalk's Biggest Troll! on: July 27, 2019, 02:02:10 AM
I nominate Spoetnik and BitcoinEXpress even though he deleted many of his posts. They haven't posted since 2018 so I don't think they are going to feel validated.

Ah good, I was wondering if anybody remembered Spoetnik. Definitely a Class A troll. I don't remember BitcoinEXpress being much of a troll, however he did make a couple coins crap their pants wondering if their chain was about to be split thanks to one of his infamous hashpower attacks...

Do you really want me to come out of retirement?

~BCX~

 Grin Grin Grin

Hey man, nice to see you. What you been up to these days?

Nominee list updated...
6803  Economy / Services / Re: Get 5 BTC for proof who Game Protect scammed and for how much? on: July 26, 2019, 04:21:07 PM
I can not delete your posts and if you posted proof (I have not seen any) I can not delete it! Roll Eyes

This user has been your client for at least 6 months and apparently you haven't done anything for them in this time
The problem is that your extremely mentally ill and or brain dead bitcointalk account is not able to understand that the 5 BTC are for proof who I scammed and not for appearance! Cheesy

Look here, you ill brained mentally dead brain dead mentally ill person, you have an unresolved customer complaint. Here is my message in its entirety before your brainwashed mentally ill dead brain cut out the words by the dissatisfied customer:

I'd like to claim the 5 BTC offer.

Game Protect - Get Paid did not want me to mention them in my thread. Nevertheless, IF you do successfully complete my claim then this comes from my overall amount anyway. So it's still paid from what i am owed.

Like i said in my first post, i am aware that these things don't happen over night, but the only time i have heard from you in 3 months is when i chase - and then i get a short sharp response. I would love to represent a success story for you on this forum and would gladly let everyone on here know if that turns out to be the case.

Scammed: Jenniraye88
How much: 5% of £13k, or £650

Please make the BTC payment to the address in my profile.

Thanks, and have a great day.

Apparently your brainwashed dead brain can't comprehend that you haven't been able to do anything for this customer after 6 months. Perhaps you should take a brain test to see if your brain is mentally ill or perhaps dead.  Cheesy
6804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 26, 2019, 11:16:58 AM
Don't need a run of 2011-2014 for BTC to go until 100K$+

Don't need a run like 2015-2017 neither.

That's kind of my point...

On January 1st, 2011 the price of BTC was $0.30
On January 1st, 2014 the price of BTC was $747

That's a 2,490x gain.

If BTC did that from now over the next 3 years, that would make it about $24.4 million a coin by 7/26/2022.

Don't think any of us are holding out for that type of gain!

The alts Bubble's/run will happen again, till we will stay in a early adoption/stage (and until some projects will be definitely dead).

I'm not so sure it will. Some alts will be carried by their own merit and ability to prove themselves as penetrating mainstream adoption, but we definitely won't have a situation like 2017 where any old shitcoin, coins like CLAMS and TIT, are skyrocketing thousands of percent.
6805  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blue Hill Mining - Plagiarized Whitepaper on: July 26, 2019, 10:48:04 AM
Yeah I dunno, sometimes they surprise me by doing things like listing geographic coordinates of an area in Mongolia, and some of their team members seem like real people doing real mining things, then they do something like publish one of these images as their own graphics... Its like, why can't they use their own pictures if they're a legitimate company that is already actively mining?

6807  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-11] Trump apparently knows what Bitcoin is, and he doesn’t like it on: July 26, 2019, 03:44:45 AM
I remember early on in Trump's reign, crypto hopes were high for his administration, as his (ex) adviser Steve Bannon was pretty crypto-savvy, having sat on Brock Pierce's IGE board of directors. Of course, Bannon hasn't been around for quite some time, and it appears as if Trump didn't even write the tweet(s) about bitcoin.

He can draw up all the BS regulations he wants. I am not going to follow them. If the USA wants to steal my bitcoin via regulation then I'll just take my money overseas and give America nothing. Donny's failed leadership has caused me to rethink my place in the world and being an American is not a source of pride anymore. So I'll keep using bitcoin and traveling the world, but perhaps I will stop coming back to the U.S. and just stay in Africa.

Are you planning on renouncing your US citizenship? The thought has definitely crossed my mind for tax reasons, but since my family is here, I'm concerned about being blocked from visiting. Renouncing citizenship (and dodging tax liability) means giving up your legal right to enter the country. You have to hope they'll issue you visas at their discretion.

If I have to, yes. I have lived all over the world. It really would not change my life to become a citizen of Uruguay or wherever.

During the last election, when it came down to Hillary vs. Trump, I decided I was moving out of the country, having been pretty thoroughly disgusted by politics for quite some time. I did, and haven't been back since. However, I would never renounce my citizenship as the U.S. passport is one of the best of them all. I will definitely be back to renew it before it expires.

Being stateless is a pretty risky gamble, and becoming a citizen of the country I currently live in requires too much paperwork and basically paying ever-increasing sums of money to push your application along, which may ultimately result in nothing.
6808  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll: Vote for Bitcointalk's Biggest Troll! on: July 26, 2019, 03:13:16 AM
1. BADecker - Logic and arguments give way to magic and false conclusions when he is losing.
2. TECSHARE - Been stalking me for four years since his opinions became irrelevant by default.
3. Notbatman - Trying to create the longest thread by constantly lying about reality.

I won't go digging years back, just mentioning current ones:

notbatman the nazi flat-earther
r0ach/realr0ach the nazi (seems like a pattern) metalist
cryptohunter the undead legend, could be a nazi too

Sorry guys, I can only accept your first two entries due to strict enforcement of the arbitrary rules I set up in the OP, even if I agree with all of them being enormous trolls. I've updated the confirmed nominee list, and these are the other nominees which are currently shy of the 2 vote point minimum:

rebal15 1.5
alevlaslo 1.5
JorgeStolfi 1
digaran 1
King Scorpio 1
notbatman 1
Quickseller 1
Anonymint 1
B1tUnl0ck3r 1
Phinnaeus Gage 1

This is fun, it feels like a raffle or one of micgoossens prediction games, but unfortunately the only prize to be won is shame.

6809  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll: Vote for Bitcointalk's Biggest Troll! on: July 25, 2019, 04:26:10 AM
I'd suggest Game-protect too, but I really don't think he's a troll so that would be a hard NO from me.

I do have another suggestion though, he isn't that active anymore, but every topic I've seen from him just screamed 'troll'.

RawDog:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=196289

Oh yeah, RawDog was a sociopath!

Yes, I agree, an excellent addition that I had completely forgotten about. His greatest thread was one complaining about the first private key "directory," directory.io. The name of the thread was "This asshole published my private key!"

Nominee list updated.

Hello Lady and Gents
I havent posted on here since 2015 when my account The Doxing, was banned from posting. Some may remember when I revealed the identity of Lambie, our friendly FT journalist, who was a plague on this thread for too long. She fought it at first but once I started subtly dripping her personal info she realized I was for real and left never too return. I never released any of her personal emails. She is gone and that is what is important. I have been reading this thread daily since 2013 and became a long term hodler in 2014. Ive even read most of JJGs posts although some speedreading and skimming is required. Im still hodling strong over half the coins i started with and happy to see Lambie doesnt plague these forums any more. The most recent dumpfest was more ridiculous imo than the Jan 2015 one so it felt like a good time to drop in and say hello after many years. Despite the rivers of blood, the carnage and the despair we have seen lately, at least NLC isnt flooding us with disgusting porn. Oh yeah and since I havent posted in so long, Ill think Ill call bottom while Im here, a little prediction never hurt anyone. I doubt Ill be back to post again for a long time but Ill be reading and enjoying everyones comments, even Roach who I believe is an undercover permabull of Jewish descent Wink

Wow Lambie, this was an excellent first post. Mad respect!

I saw it mentioned here:

6811  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll: Vote for Bitcointalk's Biggest Troll! on: July 24, 2019, 05:11:37 PM
My first vote is for TECSHARE!
I don't think he's a troll, just aggressive and opinionated.

I think he's a troll on the basis that he always has to have the last word about any sort of conflict, whether its an argument or debate or whatever. He can't help but try to egg his opponent on just a little bit further than they want to go. Whether its just a gentle jab or an all-out assault -- he clearly gets off on getting people to reply to him even after they've given up, gotten bored, or admitted defeat, or whatever.

6812  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll: Vote for Bitcointalk's Biggest Troll! on: July 24, 2019, 11:33:03 AM
Trolls do go away. There's plenty that have come and gone here over the years. They get bored very quickly especially if nobody takes the bait. If everyone ignored them they're just screaming into the digital void and trolls don't like to waste time.

Yes but those aren't the trolls that people will be nominating for this poll. The best trolls are the ones who know how to suck people back into an argument even after they have tried their hardest to turn their backs on them. This poll isn't going to have a noticeable affect on the level of trolling on the forum. After a month or two it will be over and done with, and before long everyone will have totally forgotten about it.

I doubt NLC was a female. And that user spent a very long time botting the forum with hundreds of accounts. It was NLS who was spamming gay porn all over the forum and hence why newbie accounts can't display images. Out of interest, where was this doxing?

Ooh, sounds like a potential winner. I must have missed out on all of that. You should nominate them.
6813  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll: Vote for Bitcointalk's Biggest Troll! on: July 24, 2019, 10:36:29 AM
What is it that trolls truly want? Attention. And you're giving it to them. Any true troll that gets nominated will just feel validated in their actions, especially if they win. The worse thing you can do to a troll is completely ignore them because all the want is your recognition and this thread is giving them all they want. Ignore them and they go away defeated. Entertain them and they keep going because that's how they get their kicks.

I considered this. A true troll never completely goes away, at least not without a fight. They're going to keep on keeping on whether this poll existed or not. Most trolls will claim they are not a troll, so I don't know how validating the title of "biggest troll" is to them.

Besides, as this poll is inclusive of any member that has ever been a part of this forum, its a chance to recognize trolls of the past for their magnificent achievements in trolling. Its not limited to active trolls.

rebal15

Only 2 nominations per person, so I'm taking these first two... Good call on not nominating roach, he got 2 votes already... Edit: oops, I forgot my own voting rules, so not quite yet. I'm not nominating members in the poll for the sake of keeping it as "impartial" as possible.

Yin & yang of trolling, rebal15 & r0ach.

Keen to see if my personal troll lvl is up or down. Grin

It depends on how many BSV people read Meta! Cheesy

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168331.0

Feel free to nominate up to 2 members there, to help me get the thing rolling, so I don't look like an idiot. Thanks!

6817  Other / Meta / [POLL] The Official Troll Poll - voting ends 8/21! on: July 24, 2019, 07:50:16 AM
VOTING HAS BEGUN!!

BITCOINTALK'S OFFICIAL TROLL POLL

It's time to give the forum's greatest trolls the true recognition they deserve, and in the right context, as well. For a clear definition, here is the one for Internet troll taken from Wikipedia (unsurprisingly, the topic is locked from editing):

Quote
In Internet slang, a troll is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses and normalizing tangential discussion, whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain.

The troll poll will run from 7/31 to 8/21.

Every qualifying voter can cast up to 2 votes in the official poll. The final voting tallies and winner will be named after voting has closed, at which they will be awarded with the grand prize: a magnificent pile of shame and the recommendation of being put on Ignore by all users!

For profile links to all nominees, reference the post below.

Hello brain dead,

You will get 5 BTC after you have shown proof of who (name of the person or entity) I scammed and for how much as announced in the thread.

So far you did not deliver and I know that I never scammed anyone, so this will never happen! Smiley

Definition scam: A fraudulent scheme performed by a dishonest individual, group, or company in an attempt to obtain money or something else of value.

I did that already, you must have missed it:

Latest development in the Craig Wright case.

Claim by : Jurgen Etienne Guido DEBO

Interesting, even if barely legible, and ultimately just nonsense.

I spent a bit reading through the guy's tweets and his English isn't as good as Satoshi's. He makes basic grammatical mistakes whereas Satoshi's English was near flawless, indicative of a native speaker.

And then you have these reply tweets from a couple prominent bitcoin developers, regarding the PGP key offered up by Debo:

@orionwl
Quote
FWIW, there are no known messages signed by that key, but it was distributed along with early bitcoin, so it could be satoshi's real key
mind the uncertainty: my signing it was a mistake about how gpg web of trust is supposed to work at the time, and I revoked it later

@peterktodd
Quote
I signed it based on circumstantial evidence that I still believe; PGP WoT isn't a strict protocol; use your common sense in interpreting it.

That said, I have no reason to think that the Twitter account @realSatoshiN is really Satoshi Nakamoto.

If somebody with interest in BTC or a supporter holds them but if this is CW nothing more dangerous. We all know that such amount can crash the market, especially if used for this purpose and only half of this stack would be enough.

CSW doesn't have the coins, nor will he ever have them. Its not a real concern.
