One of my friend, who is a good coder too, just sold his car, when I asked regarding that why he sold the car ? I was thinking maybe he want to invest money in bitcoin, but he said that he is not interested in such things, he need money this time, people who invest money in bitcoins or ICOs always get losses, because building a simple project takes many time and a complex project needs research and a lot of money. He said that he is a good coder and thats why he developed a dapp for someone, he spent around 3000 hours, but after completing her project, her client replied after the ICO that she could not raise funds, and the ICO failed. The money she spent on the project has lost. So why you don't support people when you see a ready project or dapp ?
People are had enough of ICO's but there will always be an exception, like if the concept is really good and the dev is transparent in running the project, he is not afraid to face his investors and can do videos webinars, in short, he is transparent and hands-on.

Bitcoin dominance is huge and people are concentrating their portfolios on the top coins in the market, and this year new coins are having a hard time to market their coin because of the edge of top coins in the market.

If you think your friend had a good concept and he can be transparent then go for it, who knows some investors are looking for a new project to invest.
6802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun's Bold Statement on Facebook’s Libra on: August 27, 2019, 02:08:27 PM
Well!! Did you know? CEO of Tron Justin sun makes a bold statement on libra.

Justin Sun believes that Facebook’s Entry Into Crypto Will Facilitate Blockchain’s Bright Future.

Source: https://coinpedia.org/news/justin-sun-makes-a-bold-statement-on-facebooks-libra/

What's your take on this?

Libra coin has been a big buzz for several months now and every here in the Crypto world knows Facebook Libra coin, in fact, I am tired seeing so many threads about Libra Coin, this is not new it's old new, why he is now saying this.

All the big developers are welcoming Libra Coin and the majority of investors already know Libra coin will contribute a lot to the adoption of Cryptocurrency, but I'm glad he puts it in a record, his words have a lot fo impact to the community of course.

I joined sarokisu airdrop
Can I buy SARO  to get monthly dividend
Please advise me.  Project site link is www.sarokisu.com

No don't be fooled by this monthly dividend thing, I don't see anything on the project that will last even a year, their homepage is not even appealing, looks like a newbie created the website.

Everything you're looking for a dubious project are all here, supply is over 1 billion and selling price is 10 cents, the developers greediness is very evident, creating a very huge supply hiring a very poor designer and no platform to speak off.

We are not a newbie this is not 2015 where this kind of project can still generate funds, we are wiser now this is 2019 and we know a dubious project when we see one, and this one is a dubious and scam project.

Till now, I have read many news from different people claiming they are Satoshi Nakamato.
Check these imposters and you'll see they are promoting their new coin in the market if they create Bitcoin, they will only support Bitcoin until it is fully adopted.

Quote
We all know all of them are lying. But, What is the benefit of being Satoshi Nakamato? If there was any benefit the real Satoshi Nakamato would have appeared by now.

If he can make people believe that he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto, people and the community will believe in everything he will say even if he creates a new coin and hype it.
He will be everywhere and even become a Nobel winner for his creation.

Quote
I think even if Satoshi Nakamoto is found, he/she will have trouble with governments and there will be no benefit.

I don't think he will be prosecuted because he has not done anything wrong, and he'll have the whole community behind him, but of course, they will question his over 1 million in his wallet and the community too since those should not be move to keep the price stabilize.

6805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dominance Index: is Alt Season already there, without us even noticing? on: August 26, 2019, 03:51:23 PM
I wanted to share an article i have been writing on medium.com: Bitcoin Dominance Index: is Alt Season already there, without us even noticing?

https://medium.com/@xdcorbis/bitcoin-dominance-and-alt-season-c7a255251ef4

Bitcoin dominance is said to be over 90%, according to a recent study and article from Forbes from Aug 22, 2019 if you take liquidity into account. This is no real news, as there have been a lot of discussions about this in the past, such as the article “Bitcoin’s True Market Dominance” from March 22, 2019. The question for me is though: can we trust this data? And is alt season maybe already there, without us even noticing?

I would love to get feedback on this, as i am trying to understand different sentiments here.

All we need know is Bitcoin is dominating the market, and we all know that it is higher than 50% and about the discussion, if we are looking at the correct and right data, it is for the traders and investors on what to believe in, if you think that Forbes is not giving us correct data and you have your own sourced that you think is real to you then it's up to you.

I want to see study and research that altcoins are also moving but I am very much ok with the thought Bitcoin is dominating the market, I always say, if we have full adoption of Cryptocurrency, it should start with Bitcoin, there should be no shortcut.

if there is really any way to make blockchain available to only professionals that are qualified it would have been a different story

That's already too late, Bitcoin is open-sourced and so are those token and smart contract platform, anybody and any company can create one for their companies and organizations.

The best defense now is education, education on how to trace and distinguish and analyze, all the coins that are coming our way, this is one of the bad sides of crowdfunding without regulation , you are left to your own judgment what is legit and fraud.
6807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Service on: August 26, 2019, 02:26:03 PM
You've mentioned you aren't getting paid upfront, but there is some pay for the service. When you charge the service in what way you assure of giving 20-30 for a day. With betting we cannot assure of winning, and if the 50-100 in the account is lost in betting what the user will get after the game. Clear this to the users than showing proofs of your wins.

Sure 100% bro, but with my method. There is hardly any loss.aybe 20% loss rate. Like you said in betting there is always loss, not 100% win. With my method, it is either you dont make up to the profit i said OR no profit. Although sometimes it may happen that we may loose profit gained but guarantee no 100% loss in capital. Maybe 20% loss but it is rare.

What do you want to prove bro, why not keep it to yourself, or if your method really works why not invite your friends to get help from you, I like your honesty, but this is gambling, not any kind of business where there is no 100% proven method.

People are still asking or looking for that perfect gambling method or why not write an e-book about your method, if you find you have a unique method that cannot be found elsewhere, you can make money from this, even a youtube video where you can place ads on it, will prove effective.
6808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: portfolio renewal is the right decision on: August 26, 2019, 01:17:25 PM
Are you aware that the current market conditions are really very bad? altcoin prices are down, while bitcoin is still enjoying its movements. if the market continues like this continues, I doubt altcoin will still be in the market. an investor we must have a good strategy to avoid this loss,
- if you are not sure about altcoin, you can exchange it for bitcoin.

-If you still survive with altcoin, you need to update them with potential altcoin. as already listed in the top 10 rankings at Coinmarcetcap.

someone will survive in the market if you can control your own portfolio, so if you cannot manage your assets properly, you will not last long in this market.

It's important and it's a must to keep your portfolio updated on what will make a profit and what coins must go, I believe in short and long term profit, there are coins for short term and there are coins for long term, savvy investors know how to distinguish these coins for long term and short term.
Whether it's a new coin or an old coin or coins that are already in the top 10 or just a new coin that has promise, you must know how to distinguish, all your profit depends on these factors.
6809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: don't rely on gift tokens, balance your time with other things. on: August 26, 2019, 10:10:53 AM
don't rely on gift tokens because that will only bore you and not to mention you have to wait for them to be listed on the exchange or at least until they have a sale price to make up for your hard work.
I suggest balancing your time with other things you can do in this market and I think there are many ways to make a profit besides a prize campaign. I say this because I also feel bored with them and what I produce from gift tokens does not produce sweet fruit.
at this time I balance with trading, how about you?

I wonder when will these airdrops end when only the developers are the one making money here, airdrops participants know that 90% of these are fake or failed projects but they keep going on or after they quit doing this, all the people or newbies they've recruited are the one that's going to replace them doing airdrops, it's a cycle that will not end.

Because there are developers who will make money and participants, who keep hoping that what they are holding will have values in the market in the future. And besides, this is not really an airdrop because they made you do a task like promoting in social media, it's more like a bounty campaign.

6810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Overall winning - Dice on: August 26, 2019, 08:38:57 AM
Have anyone profited out of dice in the short or long term. I have been trying the best and lost all, I can't leave it. Once after I loss I have gone beyond my ability. Finally as the wallet got emptied, I bought bitcoin particularly for betting and lost even the amount earned from my day job. I used to experience win, but at the end it is a loss. I miss the right time to stop and leave. Cry Cry Cry

If you cannot control your urge you are in big trouble, it's like quicksand that every move you made you are going to lose, you are not only going to lose all your money but you are going to lose your family if you cannot control your urge you are going to be a chronic gambler.

No gambler win in gambling, you can win once or twice but you will eventually suffer a losing streak, talk to your family and let them help you get out from this trap or if the hold is to tight better get professional help.

6811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bad developers have tarnished ICO! on: August 26, 2019, 07:58:51 AM
that in the past ICO projects performed very well if they used ERC20 tokens or projects built on established platforms. because it has the potential to grow well and reduce risk when compared to creating new technology. but now on the contrary I don't see ICO functioning properly even though it's built on an existing platform like ERC20.
I will not blame the platform because the platform has been built in such a way, but I will blame the developer, Why? because most developers have misused this for crypto schemes to get rich and most project failures are based on the background of developers who do not have extensive knowledge and deliberately tarnish the ICO project's bad image.
That's the real picture right now, scammers have made this platform and ICO their playground, but one thing that these scenario has brought us,   investors are now wiser and now understand how these scammers work, they now know how to look on a new project, they know how to set up criteria to pick project that they believe will be here in a long term.

So many new projects are now coming into the industry because these developers thought that they can just present something and people will buy these projects because of what happen in 2017, but this is 2019 now and so many things happened and changed.
6812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just A Well Thought Question on: August 26, 2019, 12:50:11 AM
Hi cryptopians i want to ask you a question and i need your genuine answers straight from your hearts.

What would have happened if all available crypto coins are been ranked on CoinMarketCap based on how good they are in terms of
1. Faster transaction speed
2. Better Security Platform
3. Privacy
4. Futuristically techy  etc

Will bitcoin have a chance at all? what rank number do you think bitcoin will be on CoinMarketCap?

Then investors and traders will stop patronizing or using Coinmarketcap because investors are not using those parameters to invest, they are more interested in adoption, value, and support they are not interested in a coin with all those good features but lack the support and trust by the community.

And besides Coinmarketcap is not here to rank features but volumes and price, you would have to look for a site that can do that.
6813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you invest your Bitcoin to Altcoins? on: August 25, 2019, 05:13:11 PM
I have thought of this topic because I don't invest much in altcoins, just trading it to profit. I'm talking about the one you will buy that you would HODL in the long term and keeping it in your cold wallet, hardware wallet, paper wallet, or whatever you do with it as long as you keep the currency itself.

The reasons I could think are the following:

  • You invest because of the Technology of the coin And what it could bring to the cryptocurrency space
  • You know the developers and supporting them
  • You believe you could profit in the long-term
  • Because of the Name of the coin. Lol.

I'm just wondering if there are other reasons that you may have and if you agree with the ones I listed. Share it here.

I have a thread that shows that Bitcoin dominance is now over 90% and we are in a bull run, I have traded all my non performing altcoins to Bitcoin, and if ever there is a new coin or existing altcoins that I think will have a good potential in the market, I can only allocate a small portion.

People should accept the fact that we are moving fast in Bitcoin adoption and this is what we have been waiting for, Bitcoin volume is growing and countries and companies adopting Bitcoin, altcoins will have its time, that's for sure but now it's Bitcoin's time to shine.
6814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors are impatient and too quick to judge projects on: August 25, 2019, 02:00:26 AM
It usually surprise me when I see investors complaining about a good project that didn't increase  or providing returns immediately it got listed on the exchange and they term it scam or say different things like rekted.
But the truth is, are these investors investing in the project because they believe in it or are they just in it for the immediate profit and move on?  Because if you are investing in a project because you believe in it then you should be willing to HODL the tokens and wait for the team to gradually deliver the project and meet its necessary roadmap before you judge it and not condemn it on its first listing.

For me, it's not surprising at all, there are a lot of projects in the past or until now, where developer stops when it hit the market, some projects don't care at all if their coin is going down or losing its value, it is the job of the team to make their coin competitive in the market, because this is one of the parameters, investors are looking on a coin to invest.

We seldom see projects that offer buy-back option to protect their coins from dropping, it is recommended but developers are not allocating a portion of their sales.

If they don't want investors to lose trust in their project, they should give update to their supporters and investors in a timely manner, they have a timeline in their roadmap, they have to make sure that they always hit the deadline.
6815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does hard work in gambling count? on: August 25, 2019, 01:38:18 AM
I am curious to know if someone continually invested a lot of time in studying a game involved in gambling, further if he had played the game a lot to understand the intricacies involved, then can we call him an expert in that gambling game? If we do call him an expert then we clearly differentiate his experience and expertise from that of a novice. This clearly shows that the person is capable of winning more as an expert than the novice who really does not have the in-depth understanding of the play.

This brings us to an interesting question if hard work in gambling really pays off? If one puts in a lot of efforts to understand a game involved in gambling, does it mean that all his time has gone down the drain? Certainly no. If gambling were simply a blind guess or a wild shot then even years of studying it makes it useless because one is simply guessing the outcome blindly. But such is not the scenario with gambling in reality. What makes hard work count in gambling?

This further sets off the question of addiction in gambling. Work can also be an addiction for many. But here the addiction could be for perfecting the game and the art of playing. This kind of addiction is to struggle every time for success by proper calculation and review. However, addiction can also be due to pure greed of winning with no clear knowledge of the game. If hard work counts, then we may actually find a solution for a healthier addiction towards success in gambling.

Anything that you focus into will yield you result, but gambling is a different arena, there are intricacies and pitfalls that you should watch out, the first thing that you need to develop I believe is controlling if you don't have it you will not know when and how to stop when you are winning and when you are losing.

of all the fields gambling offer a different perspective compared to other fields, you will end up losing a lot of winning so much but each rewarding once you master your control and develop your own strategy.
6816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's bitcoin worst case scenario if Libra will be successful? on: August 25, 2019, 01:16:38 AM
I heard people saying it won't affect bitcoin at all, and others say it might destroy it

I wonder what's your opinion about it?

What can be the worst case when it comes to Libra and Bitcoin?

We all have conflicting views about how Libra coin is going to perform when it hit the market, some people had a big faith on Facebook and some  here do not support Facebook because of the data issue, it's a battle between the two and we have to see that hapen before we can figure out if Libra have a chance.

But for me, I have to say no, Facebook is very notorious in stealing data, they have already paid billions in damages and I still want to protect my privacy and there are Cryptocurrency based products and services that are existing or will exist that are similar to facebook.

Majority of these ICO's are big failures

In your opinion are there any ICOs in 2019 that have been notable scams?

Ironx is a such a huge scam 26 million and their exchange platform is such a big mess and a big shit

Quote
How would you sum up ICOs in 2019 so far?
There's a recent study that Bitcoin dominance has reached 90% and ICO is almost dead, investors are wiser to invest in the top and old coins in the market, than gamble in a new one, but who knows there could be a reverse in the coming year I don't rule the possibility.
6818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are You Still looking For New Coins When Bitcoin Dominance Hit 90% on: August 25, 2019, 12:28:32 AM
There are still new coins in the market being launched and we have seen how profitable it is if you are one of its early investors, but that was 2014 to 2017, today the scenario is very much different.

A new study comes out that Bitcoin dominance has reached 90% and this could only mean that new and existing altcoins are going to die or will be gone in the market sooner or later.

Are you still looking for a new coin or coins in the ICO/IEO stage if Bitcoin dominance has already reached 90%
6819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now I want to buy some kind of alternate coins. What kind of coins can I buy? on: August 25, 2019, 12:07:28 AM
I had some capital investment. Altar coins. Now that's 30% price. Will I ever get my capital back?Looking to invest in some capital. What can I buy alternate coins. Will Alter Coin Market return to its previous position?

You should be very careful about buying on altcoins, this year 2019 is very much different from 2017, when the majority of the altcoins has a good share of the market, Bitcoin dominance has reached 90% according to new research and this year could be the start of so many altcoins dying out of volume.

Be sure you have bitcoin as your main coin and that Bitcoin gets a big share of your portfolio, only pick coins that have long term profitability you can do this based on the community's support of their platform, and of course, the volume and price is a big factor too, shorten your range to the top 10 coins in the market.

BTC dominance is going to break 70% point. Almost all alts (not from top 10) dead. We will never be reach via shitcoins?

The data is not lying actually it's not 70% anymore there's a study that it is now 90% according to this article
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-dominance-is-actually-above-90-new-research-suggests

The article ended with this post
Quote
“the 2014-2017 era of alts and hard forks is dead.”
that's probably true and investors and traders should concentrate more on Bitcoin because this is a long term investment that will definitely be going to yield profit.

In my opinion, there are some altcoins that still has the potential to share the market equally with Bitcoin in the future, I would love to see coins with good concept and innovation to stay on.

With this fact, people should stop discussing altcoins replacing Bitcoin.
