6801  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the important knowledge we need to learn here? on: October 23, 2018, 06:05:32 PM
Hello guys,

Straight to the question, What information is the most important to learn about cryptocurrency related topics and that are vital to earn?
I'm also curious, Why do people want bitcoin/ethereum so badly?

Experts may help newbies, jr. members and me of course from your answers.
If this thread is not suitable/may be a spam or not helpful I'll delete/remove this thread.

This is a vague request as the information regarding is infinite and it solely depends on what you really need.
I'll sum up the things I have learnt over a period of time, there may be more information, but this should suffice for now.

1) Choose a secure wallet like electrum, never share your seed, keys and password with anyone, never make any transactions on a public wifi or a unsecured network.
2) Avoid exchanges many will say you can keep it there, but I would advise to avoid.
3) Remember this golden rule if he or she is a newbie, or has no trusts and wants to make a deal you're about to be scammed, insist on a escrow, if he's trustable check recent ratings.
4) Bitcoins is for the long term, no matter what happens in short term simply hodl.
5) Last but another golden rule use your head and the search button in forum to do your research and find about the information given to you.

Everyone wants those two as those two are the most popular crypto and alt in the market, known to give good returns, but I would only advise adding bitcoins to your portfolio.
6802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Elon Musk bitcoin tweet will leave you swooned. on: October 23, 2018, 02:39:43 PM
Elon Musk the founder of SpaceX and Tesla made a tweet about buying bitcoin from his official verified twitter  account, and no his account was not hacked lmao, even twitter thought his account was hacked can't blame twitter though lol. It's pertinent to note that his tweet deserves to be taken seriously, remember Teslaquilla his April fool tweet will soon be a reality. I see a potential whale in him, but given his stressful conditions wonder he'll be good for bitcoins or he'll mess it up, cause this guy won't be in for one or two bitcoins he has the capacity to buy and sell major volumes.

Read the tweet here https://www.coindesk.com/elon-musk-teases-bitcoin-service-in-cryptic-crypto-tweet/
6803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Games Prediction Thread on: October 23, 2018, 10:51:48 AM
I always lose like 70% of the bets during the International break ...

Those games are not that competitive and lacks consistency making it hard to predict so if I were you I'd rather abstain from gambling all together during this period.

I'll second that I usually refrain from playing in games especially during the breaks, as the results are always surprising. It's pertinent to note that many players request not to be selected or don't play with much intensity as they want to report fit for the club. I also believe that during these games players are less focused look at Spain or Germany players, for these very reasons it's my advice to avoid playing on these matches.
6804  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high do you think Bitcoin will go on the next bull run? on: October 23, 2018, 03:50:59 AM
Next bull run..how high?!

The incoming bull run should be starting in the next few months, and my estimate is that it will probably last until late 2020.

My price target for the next bull run has been $100k. I think it'll break through that and go a bit higher, maybe close to $150k, but $100k will signal that it is about to crash after people get out their last bit of buying mania, the way breaking $10k made the whole market go nuts and shoot up to $20k in less than 3 weeks before crashing.

But then I was thinking, if Wall St firms really get in these next two years, and by really get in I just mean if a lot of them and individual investors just put like 2-3% into Bitcoin, then $100k or $150k isn't nearly high enough! Just a few percent from Wall St firms, plus stuff like ETFs for retail investors and pension funds and University endowments and so on, plus the accompanying FOMO for people who don't care about going through Wall St and go straight to crypto exchanges...in a perfect storm of all that Bitcoin could sale clear to like $300k at the next peak.

What do you all think? I've still got my money on the low $100k range, but I wouldn't be totally shocked if it ended up hitting a quarter million by the end of 2020 or so.

It's too early to even think of a figure that Bitcoins might touch during the next bull run, as the important question now should be when will the bull run happen, what will trigger it, how long will it last, will it just increase the prices and not adoption. If and when there's a bull run and massive adoption takes place then we won't need to wait for bull run, prices will keep on increasing daily, but if I have to pick a range anywhere between $20 to 50k don't see it crossing those levels.
6805  Other / Off-topic / Re: If we all live in a virtual world, will bitcoin become its official currency? on: October 22, 2018, 05:51:31 PM
I was rewatching Ready Player One earlier with my nephew and this thought came to my mind when I saw the prize money. If, for example, we live in a virtual world (however you describe your understanding of a virtual world) do you think we will only have one currency to use and that is bitcoin? Or will we still have different coins (altcoins)?

I think you're confused as that movie is all about a virtual world which is not reality, meanwhile bitcoins is described as a virtual currency but it's real. I don't think one needs to wait for virtual world, as many countries are getting their own virtual coin, and bitcoins dominance is growing. I don't think one currency is enough for the entire world, there'll always be room for more currencies.
6806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guess when the next bull market will start! on: October 22, 2018, 02:54:53 PM
So it's been pretty clear for a month now that the bear market is over and we are in the accumulation phase between bear and bull markets. When do you think the next bull market will begin? I see two possible scenarios, either it starts in November with the release of BAKKT and because by the end of October the price will have clearly broken through the bear market downtrend line, or if the market isn't ready for a bull market yet it'll just continue trading sideways until perhaps January or February at which point we'll see a pop up to $7000s and $8000s to start the bull market.

My conservative guess is February, but my hopeful guess is November.

It seems everyone is expecting a November bull run to happen, but in current scenario I really don't see it happening unless suddenly there's mass adoption once again, or the hype kind scenario once again is repeated when futures were coming. I'm not really aware Bakkt but I'm reading mixed reviews regarding it, if it'll be good for bitcoins then it's more than welcome. I'm expecting 10k by Q2 of 2019.
6807  Economy / Gambling / Re: Potential Gambling Site Leak on: October 22, 2018, 11:29:10 AM
BitDice noticed a large spike in bruteforce attempts with a large number of valid email addresses. We suspect that the attacker may have been using a list of leaked credentials from another gambling website due to the large number of valid email addresses. We wanted to inform the public and also advise everyone to always use unique passwords across multiple websites to prevent these types of attacks from being successful.

We may publish a starred email list in the future but we are more concerned that this may have orignated from another gambling site in the community.

As always, BitDice protects your account by verifying unknown logins to help secure your account.

This is sad news and what makes it worst the site has not come clean to it's users which puts their users to more risk. I'll agree with the advice one should use distinct passwords, as we have seen in the past they get one password and they can hurt you a lot financially. It's important to note sites using http or not using ssl is a must avoid these days, also using your password on a public or free wifi is a very bad idea.
6808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prediction ligue 1, france football league on: October 22, 2018, 03:29:57 AM
AS Monaco are having one of the worst starts in the Ligue 1 as they once again lost to Strasbourg meaning that they have lost all their last four games and have a single win in the whole season. Henry will have a lot of work to be do before they can return to winning ways.

I'm not surprised by the current situation of As Monaco, there're no quick fixs in football, if you didn't know many managers rejected taking over As Monaco as this was a sucidial mission. Henry as a player was top class but this is coaching something he's never done before, plus in middle of a season with a team low on confidence he can only pray for a miracle.
6809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: December is coming no real growth for alts yet... on: October 21, 2018, 06:00:03 PM

People in the world of cryptocurrency are all hoping, expecting, praying and also wishing that come the end of this year -- December 2019 -- there can be a bull run for both Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrency market. Sadly, things are not yet picking up and I am not seeing big signs that we can have it this year.

I am concerned that if there will be bull run (even a mild one will do) this year, we can be starting the year 2019 with a gloomy mood setting up for the rest of the year a bearish situation. Of course, not unless maybe there can be that ETF thing approval from SEC maybe that can be the big difference.

If people have based their hopes on last year's rally then they'll be in for sheer disappointment as last year the rally took place because of mass adoption and bitcoins futures coming. These year adoption has been less, all alts have taken a bad beating, the only way for a rally is major mass adoption, approval of bitcoins etf, and both are not looking good at this stage. If the charts continue at this rate then yes, we'll enter 2019 on a gloomy note.

6810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 21, 2018, 04:16:51 PM
We can debate as long we want but this season was over the moment Vettel crash out of the track in Germany. I was hopping to see them in battle for title but this way we gonna wait another season.
But if some thing are not changed by Ferrari they wont be able to do anything in next season as well. Also im gonna enjoy seeing how will RB Honda be working, cuz it was terrible with McLaren.

I'm not sure if that crash as can be said a major turning point, I feel Vettel was not confident enough this season to mount a title challenge. I'll agree Ferrari really needs to step up and up their cars even further, though I'm not sure what more can they do, i also believe Ferrari pit stop strategy at times was bizzare. If Ferrari really wants to win they really need to poach Hamilton lol, I like Vettel but he's badly out of form.
6811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 21, 2018, 12:40:37 PM
Yes because I was reading the news like I do daily and they even add a special article to Piatek in one website I usually read daily European news. The president of Genoa has gone crazy and asks an incredible amount of money , not sure what the sum was but if any European team wants him, they need to pay this big sum to Genoa.

There is no doubt we're leaving in inflated transfer market, and if you see these days even an average player has some 50 - 60 millions clause, these days all the clubs are interested in cashing the player. Juventus perfect start has come to an draw, and it's pertinent to note that Ronaldo has scored his 400th league goal with five European clubs now, also Napoli have won and are now within distance of toppling Juventus if they falter again.
6812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 21, 2018, 09:10:43 AM
My Fovorite team is Bayer Muchen , I see Bayer Muchen recently experiencing a decline, and we see now bayer muchen is ranked 7th in the league bundles standings, things that are impossible for bayer muchen can occupy that rank

Bayern Munich finally ended their dismal run with a convincing win, while it's too early to say that they're back to what they do best win and win. Their current rankings is good for the league as it'll increase the competition for the title, something that the league has been lacking for years now.

I guess Stuttgart would not stand much chance to get even a point when they are playing against Borussia Dortmund in today match, as I believe the morale of the players playing in Borussia Dortmund would be high at the moment since the team is currently sitting at the top of the table in the Bundesliga League, this would be a good opportunity for Borussia Dortmund to claim 3 points from Stuttgart today to extend their lead at the top of the table.

I'll agree with the red hot form that Dortmund are in it's difficult to imagine also how they could loose, so everyone will indeed back them up for victory. I do hope Dortmund score many goals, and make the match exciting as they have been doing it so far.
6813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: October 21, 2018, 06:21:32 AM
Barca beat Sevilla 4:2 and they're back to the top of the league. But Messi suffered hand injury. It's most likely that he will miss El Clasico. It will be interesting to watch how Barca can play without him.
EDIT: Messi out for 3 weeks approximately...

I doubt they would replace the manager so early on the season. I have never seen Real Madrid doing such things from a long time now. I am the one who think that Mourinho should go away from Manchester United but still for Lopetegi here I think he has not had enough time to show his true colours with Real Madrid.

If I were Real Madrid president I would give him time at least until end of December before taking any final decision like firing him.
I think that upcoming UCL match and El Clasico can be crucial for Lopetegui - his chair is hot now. But can we blame hime for bad results when Perez didn't bought replacement for Ronaldo? I read that he is saving money for reconstruction of stadium. But if it's true, why he bought Courtois???
And I can't remember Real coach who was sacked in October. Speaking about recent managers, Schuster was sacked in December and Benitez in January.
And about Conte - there are many news about him in press. And quite reputable italian sources announced that he js new RM coach, so I think it can be true.

Another match same story Real Madrid turns up and is defeated, while one had to feel for their coach I feel the blame lies in the boardroom there was no need to let Zidane and Ronaldo leave together, and when it was clear Ronaldo was gone they should have brought in an immediate replacement. I don't think he'll get fired immediately he'll be judged on his performance in champions league and el Classico win that and he's save for now.

It's sad Messi won't be turning up for el Classico it'll be interesting how Barcelona perform without him, this is a good chance for fringe players to step up and claim a starting spot.
6814  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most bitcoins trader are liers and bragg, Are you one of them? on: October 20, 2018, 05:39:28 PM
Do you know that most traders and forum  users here lies about their dealing in bitcoins. Some exaggerate to their family and friends the unrealistic profit they claim they are making online through bitcoins and these same liers don't tell their losses. Have you ever lied or bragg to your friends about bitcoins.

No I would never do that cause that's a lie, my trading history is not at all good there's no sense in selling a lie. If you're into crypto world then you need to hodl your wallet and trade info close to your chest, you can't go around blowing the trumpet it can have dire consequences. It's pertinent to note you mentioned people do it here in the forum, I have never come across any care to share few links.
6815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 20, 2018, 02:51:08 PM
^  Martial was getting some confidence back and was running good but Mou had to interrupt it by acquiring Sanchez.  He needs to be given more play time imho, same with Rash.

Edit:  If you were asking about the match, Mou's game plan was to troll the fans again.  Grin

After watching the match between Manchester United and Chelsea there're so many questions I want answer to, why hasn't Martial and Mata started right from the start of the season both were brilliant. Is it time to drop Sanchez and Lukaku cause I certainly feel so, both have been absolutely poor, and is it time the entire team stands up and tell Pogba to man up in defending.

^  Yup.  Da Faaak.  Sad  Sad  Sad

Edit:  Seriously.  6 minute extra time?  Rigged.

My thoughts exactly Chelse homeground, Ibramioch rules with his money i guess, they stole the victory from Manchester United.
6816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who/what will fuel the next bull run? on: October 20, 2018, 11:23:49 AM
Many people expect there will be another bull run in the more or less near future. But who, whose money, what will be the fuel for next bull run? New investors? Smart money? Why? Do elaborate, I am very curious to know your thoughts.

Hey op there is no one particular movement or a single person or some funds that are able to trigger the bull run in bitcoins, it's always been the simple economic principle demand and supply. If you observe one can say bitcoins has always been on a bull run from 2009 (10 cents) to (6400$) 2018. The main key factors for bitcoins is adoption and adoption, while bitcoins etf may just increase it's awareness in the end without adoption it'll not be able to act as a catalyst.
6817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 20, 2018, 07:21:49 AM
As the confrontation between Juventus and Manchester United approaches, Italian newspapers are hesitant to say that Jose's successor is not Zidane, but Allegri, and then Zidane will be the successor to Allegri at the end of the season!

Of course this is if Jose left and did not come out of the ashes with something to offer at the end.
The game against Newcastle definitely gave Mourinho a lifeline but I don’t think Allegri should be the ideal replacement if Mourinho is given the sack, I will prefer Zidane replacing Mourinho should he be given the sack eventually.

I feel Italian media is playing mind games with Manchester United first they're constantly saying Jose shall be sacked, then they proclaimed Allergi shall succeed him. If that was not enough now they're spreading fud that Juventus will bid 65 million for Rashford, it's a clear case to unsettle Manchester United, which i feel is below the belt. I'm not sure if Zidane and Allergi are the right candidates, but since there're very few available why not Arsene Wenger?

I loved what Bayern Munich did by calling a press and slamming their witch hunt and filing injunctions against the press, and it's a shame a club like Manchester United does not do it, honestly I'm tired of the press and the ex players and the way they're making personal attacks on Manchester United players.

These are the make and break matches for a coach that has won everything and has nothing left to prove, while I don't like Manchester United under him, but I feel he should depart on a more amicable terms and not the way media wants it.

6818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with normal games on: October 20, 2018, 03:56:00 AM
There are a lot of chances that people can gamble, like when you try a drinking game, where you watch a movie, and you are going to drink when that character do a specific thing or something like that. I have done that, and it's entertaining but it's not that common to do anymore

I have a lot of multiplayer games in my PS4, like Tekken, UFC, Injustice, etc. My friends and I don't go to competitions, but we make our own, we start betting stuff or sometimes just money with whoever who wins the bracket.

Has anyone made a simple competition with friends and won a lot of money? Or something out of the ordinary, instead of playing in the casino but still having the chance to earn money. Share your thoughts.

Hey yes I used to do it with my friends and sometimes with total strangers, we used to play counter strike back then and sometimes we gambled within our inner circle, and at times when we met new people we pitched them the idea and they joined in. When we were indoors we used to gamble on Fifa games on ps2 and Ps3, but those was back in the past now we stick to sports or casino bets. As for the money we made I won't call it a fortune, let's just say extra income to keep one going.

Next Bitcoin Bull Run Will See Crypto Market Rise ‘10x’: Pantera CIO

The co-chief investment officer of one the cryptocurrency industry’s largest investment firms said that he expects the next bitcoin bull run to carry the cryptocurrency market cap 1,000 percent above its current valuation.

Pantera Capital’s Joey Krug made this prediction during an interview with Bloomberg, forecasting that the next upswing could propel the cryptocurrency market cap to more than $2 trillion.

“If you look at that next bull run, I think the crypto space overall could hit 10x from here.”
https://www.ccn.com/next-bitcoin-bull-run-will-see-crypto-prices-rise-10x-pantera-cio/

Everybody shouts about a quick bull market. It bothers. How not to see us a new bottom.

This is a clear case of desperate measures as his company is invested in alts, and all of them have taken an beating and he's hoping his comments shall increase the demand for bitcoins, which in turn will fuel the prices of bitcoins. While I'm positive for a bull run it's an open secret there's not many factors that can trigger it, the only way it gets triggered is if the Sec approves bitcoins etf, but there's no certainty it'll be approved.
