6821  Other / Off-topic / Re: BYE BYE BTC on: June 01, 2018, 08:59:35 AM
Bitcoin is old, outdated, slow and uses too much energy. The price will soon be brought down to a level where miners will abandon it. Prices will continue to be kept lower due to CME futures.
Forget about that dream of yours that it's bye bye to Bitcoin. I don't think it can materialize any time soon. I once thought that way that Bitcoin was soon going to be a forgotten coin. But happenings around have tutored me otherwise. Bitcoin will rule for a long time, if not forever.

6824  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are some countries still so rich and others so poor on: May 30, 2018, 11:54:03 AM
Simple and short:
It depends on the weight of the intellectual capita of whoever leads that country. No one can give what they don't have.
6825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I wonder - are there ppl here who bought BTC when it was 19k ? on: May 29, 2018, 02:35:23 PM
So, as we remember, on December 17th the price of BTCBTC went to it's maximum point and reached the value of 19,086 $
Lol... Now you want to hit that below the belt and make it hurt for them, right? Of course people here bought at that level. It was an enthusiastic moment as everywhere was lit up in momentous excitement. Many never imagined it was an overbought level. By the way, that price even got to $20,000. Go and check the historical data for Dec 17-19, 2017. It got that high.
6826  Other / Archival / Re: No more fake news on: May 29, 2018, 01:04:02 PM
I laugh hard at this. Really? No more fake news? Come on dude, that isn't going to be possible.

I have many thoughts on my mind one of this is until now I can't believe why some people is really brave and confident to do or spread some negative or fake news just to destroyed others.
Even among roses, there are thorns. FUD is the thorn while FOMO is the rose when it comes to cryptocurrency. Those who FUD either do it for selfish reasons or ignorance and the same thing applies to FOMO. Whichever that happens makes or loses money for traders. You feel it depending on the side of the divide that you are when this happens. So, we can't really say it's a bad thing. Just call it business strategy.

How to find some bounty just be posted on bitcointalk?
Have one tell me know?

6827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bcash will die in 2018 and Bitcoin will be even more valuable on: May 29, 2018, 10:49:34 AM
2018 is half spent. Yet Bitcoincash is still moving on.  The price isn't looking bad either. From hindsight, this industry has proved that no one is certain of where it's headed next. I find it amusing when people speculate or predict a crypto and then leave date and time for such to be realized. This isn't about prophecy. No one truly knows what happens next. For all I know BCH could still be here in the next 10 years.
6828  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system is corrupted. Need upgrade with changes . on: May 29, 2018, 04:36:28 AM
For this reasons people getting merit on shitpost. Even they are getting merit for reporting on bounty and replay for ANN.
Honestly, I don't get this point too. Why on earth would any sensible person merit the OP of any signature campaign? Could there be anything HQ about a signature campaign OP to deserve a merit if not that they who are sending such merits  are greedy shitposters who are only out for their bellies worth and in the excitement of seeing a campaign floated (after a long stretch) splash merit on it? I think the DT members should start tagging such people for abuse.
6829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it really worth it to invest in ICO? on: May 28, 2018, 06:15:10 PM
I am wondering about people investing in an ICO if it is really worth because base on my obvservation there are many investors on ICO period and i do not know some would always say that investing in an ICO is risky. I would like to get the investors idea directly if they were really successful in their investment  or the haters that say investing in ICO risky is really true. This is also more like a small study for future references that someday i am going to invest in an ICO since i have seen  a great potential in investing on it. Thus, i have seen many discounts offering bonuses and that is the good thing that happen in joining in ICO investments. Hopefully i could get some answers in the forum.
I would say, No! It is a waste investing in ICOs at this time.

Let me share my experience on this with you guys. I invested in the glasscoin ICO late last year at $0.80 shortly after, the ICO ended and the coin got listed in the market. But guess at what price? $0.50. And then price later rose to around $0.60. That was the highest price got to till today. I am still in loss on that and may never recover from that drop as the coin has turned shitty judging from what the coin has become now as lending coins are no longer in vogue. I believe my experience cuts across many people here. ICOs are not really worth it, except you are ready to blindly risk it.
6830  Economy / Economics / Re: So many cryptocurrencies ! on: May 28, 2018, 10:56:03 AM
The proliferation of cryptos and the attending increase of cryptocurrency exchanges go a long way to show that the crypto industry has come to stay. For those who fret, it's time to stop fretting. The market isn't going anywhere. Invest and exercise patience to reap the dividends of your investment.

Now, about the different number of cryptos getting listed, I like to say it's ok. What the heck! Don't we havev a great number of companies getting on the stock exchange annually? OP, have you heard that adage, "The more the merrier?" So should it be in cryptos too.
6831  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you approve this strategy: sell alts buy btc? on: May 28, 2018, 09:51:17 AM
I read this article, but I want to see opinions, would you sell all your alts to have only bitcoin now ? I don't think this is recommended

https://cointelegraph.com/news/buy-bitcoin-sell-your-altcoins-says-pioneering-wall-street-blockchain-analyst
Doing this or following this strategy without timing is tantamount to gambling. We know that Bitcoin, in most cases, determines the movement of altcoins. The altcoins go down whenever bitcoin is down and vice versa. So how do you sell falling altcoins to buy falling bitcoin or a rising one? Except the seller is ready to take a loss.
6832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't Warren Buffett invest in Bitcoin? on: May 28, 2018, 07:42:14 AM
Very understandable in his part. He says that he doesn't understand bitcoin or blockchain technology in general, so it would be very understandable that he doesn't want to invest in it. Unlike those people who just invest in bitcoin solely because of the price rise, and nothing else. There's a reason why Warren Buffet is a billionaire and most of us are not.
Most of the early adopters of bitcoin who incidentally are millionaires today never understood what bitcoin was. They took that risk and today they are thankful for that so called thoughtless move. Billionaire Buffet may have made money through investment and all that but that does not mean he hasn't lost in certain investment too. Why single out Bitcoin to thrash. He is just seeking media relevance like a movie star. If Mr Buffet doesn't understand the workings of bitcoin, you should just keep mute on it. After all, silence is golden.
6833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: May 28, 2018, 06:45:45 AM
It doesn't make sense to me, it sounds like a scam, they will invest using your money and you don't have any control to it. That is why I like bitcoin more, coz Though it is risky and it's very volatile, you have full control on your investment.

What do you guys think?
Seriously, I think that those who keep their monies in banks are not investors. Anyone who knows what investments to put their monies on won't be letting them lie there in the banks. And for anyone expecting high yield as interest on a dormant money is at best the biblical Joseph the dreamer. Again, no one expects the banks to share its annual profit with customers. The banks can only hand out stipends. But with bitcoin, you are your own paymaster. So, with all this no one can compare what obtains in bitcoin investment with bank investment. Bitcoin is more risky but at the same time more rewarding.
6834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your best ICO? on: May 28, 2018, 05:52:41 AM
I have invested in AE when its price is approximately $0.2, Now the price is over $3.
This is one of the exceptions.

Before you guys get drunk and high on ICOs, let me quickly reiterate my stance on ICO in a caveat: "ICOs are very risky. They come with a risk spelt in capital letters. Only invest money you can afford to lose because most ICOs are turning scams without regulations. Smiley
6835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to continue? on: May 28, 2018, 05:09:58 AM
I am at the point where confusion is at its boiling point. I had been very optimistic about the future or bounty campaign and crypto but almost all people who are way more ahead than me were saying that it is pointless and even them are not receiving or earning thus their efforts are not paid off. I am just worried that I will end up like them. I did all and everyday following the ways to promote and is following procedure. Is this really worth doing for? I am not forcing them to give us big time since they are not forcing us to either, I just wanted to really express myself because even my partner in life is not believing on what I am doing. Sad
You are crestfallen at this time and that is quite understandable. It happened to me too in the past and I learnt my lessons. That is why I avoid Facebook campaigns like a plague. I discovered that I was always cheated out by managers when it came to sharing the bounties or getting paid. I now choose bounties with careful scrutiny. So, you may want to reconsider your criteria for choosing bounties. It's frustrating not getting paid at the end for a job one did.

I think if you choose good companies and strictly adhere to their rules then you will earn good money.
The truth is that you can't truly be sure of a good to find company. Even those who sound high on white Paper and Roadmap most times end up disappointing the investors.
6836  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we teach children to have businessman mentality or be successful employee on: May 27, 2018, 03:31:19 PM
The question should be, not in rhetorics but in all seriousness, "Why haven't we been teaching children how to be business minded?" The truth is that most people hold that myth that we only get to learn certain things at certain age in life. These people argue, erroneously though, that the brain should not be over laboured at a tender age. Of course we have noticed that those who developed business consciousness at a tender age tend to have a better grasp of business than those who do at an older age. So, it should be a good thing to compulsorily teach children this skill set.
6837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Put your money where your mouth is': Winklevoss Says to Bill Gates on: May 27, 2018, 06:12:53 AM
The New Kids (Twins) On The Block(chain) takes on one of The Old Guards. Why can’t we all just get along?  Cheesy
As a shepherd, would you rather watched your herd being devoured by a Wolf or fight tooth and nail to rescue them? The "Old Guards" are the wolves trying to pull down the threshold of the blockchain. We all know that negative comments from such heavy weights could easily destroy or destabilize the crypto industry. It's a good thing the kids aren't even smiling with them.

6839  Economy / Economics / Re: What language should I learn next? on: May 26, 2018, 12:48:41 PM
If you were really serious with your question here and like you said, considering the economic aspect of it I would say Chinese it should be. Perhaps not so many people know that Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world, not English Language. Population and trade might are in favour of Chinese. China has a highest population in the world and that runs into billions. Even the US with all its world trade and financial strength trembles at that awareness. So, go for Chinese.
6840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Happy Bitcoin pizza day! on: May 26, 2018, 09:56:36 AM
I hope that pizza shop is a multi millionaire now. But the question is , did they save the private keys. Or else 10k BTC is lost forever.
I have often wondered why history and documentations are silent on the shop that purchase was made. And this is not fair to the guy who made that 10,000btc exchange if the spotlight is going to be on him alone. It will make many cast aspersions on the dude as being stupid and then believe the buyer is lucky and smarter for that exchange. We can't really be sure the shop still has the bitcoin intact. Researchers should find out what eventually happened. I am curious on this.

I feel lots of regret everytime I heard a story like this.
Why would you feel any pang of regret when the story told isn't even yours in the first place. Are you always that mushy mushy? I bet you aren't a trader. It takes an emotionless state of mind to place a trade.
