You could be absolutely correct, we do not know the background to the mindset of the winner and it is all hearsay. I hope he is well, enjoying his winnings rather than be in any negative state.

How do we know he wasnt fighting those battles before he won the 2million?
We are on the internet, we dont know who is sitting on the other end and what that person is „fighting against“.
Rich people can be depressive also...

There could be others ways to put DT to better use right? This situation regarding otto_diesel is not appropriate.

He has not been active for nearly 5 months but has been DT for the previous 3 weeks?

Surely that in itself shows that something is not working the way it should regarding the way DT is set up.

That's by Theymos' design.  DT1 must be active, for they choose DT2.  DT2 just states opinion - their opinion can still be valid if they are not active.

Thank you for your post. I was not offended Smiley

I mentioned the word "unethical" once. Which user said it all the time? Can you provide a link to which users are saying it all the time?

literally you wrote this word once, however your previous posts seemed to have the same subtext
sorry to offend  you, I did not intend to do it

It is quote sad to see this issue going on for so long. I question the motives of Cloudbet to hold on to your funds.

They might well be right about you having logged in from various IP addresses which matched other users logging in from the same IP addresses but their refusal to settle this issue means they are losing credibility.

This issue is still not resolved.

Please elaborate on unnamed.exchange and why you say it is a scam.

Why we just can not log in to unnamed.exchange with cryptopia.co.nz username(email)/password, and trading our crypto-assets there?

if you want to lose your coins as tens of thousands of other users from Cryptopia and Tradesatoshi, then you can use this fraudulent exchange unnamed.exchange. The organizers are the same scammers, but these idiots feel absolutely unpunished and laugh at users  but they dont take into account one detail that for everything in this life you will have to pay sooner or later, nothing goes unpunished.

Be careful!
Unnamed.exchange - Cryptopia - Tradesatoshi - SCAM!!!

6847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: June 27, 2020, 01:12:13 PM
I would say that Fury has been the better fighter over their two fights and he has nothing to prove but it is Wilder that has everything to prove if he wishes to remain relevant.

For Fury fans, this is a good news since Fury is eager to finish their rivalry with Wilder.
If I would analyze his statement, I think he won't be too aggressive in this fight, instead he will be careful because even if he can't knock down Wilder, he can still win as he is the better boxer.. well, I hope no one will object here since we've seen in the past 2 fights of the two that Fury knows how to move being the taller fighter, so you guys should not worry that Fury will be hit but a one punch that would result to KO since he is aware of Wilder's power.

“Wilder Can Absolutely Blitz Me in One Round” – Tyson Fury Is Uncertain About Anthony Joshua Fight

It's good that Fury is not underestimating Wilder, we will be seeing a good fight because he is focus with their upcoming fight and not thinking of the future fight yet against Joshua.

Yes we have to face, I agree. I would prefer to be better prepared than be ignorant and I hope the masses agree.

What is being mentioned in the media is that too many analysts have indicated there will be a second wave (also referred to as a 'curve') of the COVID-19.

According to many reports any second wave or curve will have a huge impact on lives everywhere when it strikes after lock down restriction globally are relaxed. Analysts state there will be an increase in the 'R' number and that will cause many problems.
this is still a theory everywhere...
many circulating on my social media homepage that the second wave is the worst, the media a lot of preaching as if it was a big disaster, now I no longer panic about the corona, ready or not, we all really have to face it.
6849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: June 27, 2020, 11:33:23 AM
Thank you for the detailed reply.

Going by what you said it is clear mining rewards will not be increasing any time in the near future (and probably will never) the rationale for that is clear now. Regarding the buzz around masternodes, any discussion to ascertain consensus in a potential change in the budget system should probably be discussed over a long period of time just to ensure they get it right.

With so much activity around various DASH community groups and their active Core Group hopefully things will go from strength to strength.

Mining rewards will not increase, they never have. Mining rewards were originally scheduled to be reduced from 100% to 40% in a time period of 2 years (2014-2016).

That scheduled mining reward reduction stopped at 45% with the introduction of our decentralized budget in 2015. Mining rewards will most likely continue to get reduced over time,
depending on the outcome of the Dash Economics discussions.

The reason masternodes are being discussed so much lately is the Dash Economics discussions which will lead to Dash Core Group introducing several network polling proposals,
to see if there is concensus among masternode owners to change our current blockreward allocation from 45% (miners) / 45% (masternodes) / 10% (budget)
to 38% (miners) / 54% (masternodes) / 10% (budget) over a time period of 5 years & to see if there is concensus among masternode owners to introduce a more flexible budget system
(one that is not limited to 10%).

There are several reasons behind these proposed changes, which will be described in detail in those upcoming network poll proposals and can also be found here :

Dash Core Group Presentation on Dash Economics
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUf76R2V3pY

At this point it is a bit unrealistic to exspect an increase in mining rewards, it is not what this cryptocurrency drives (it never has). But discussing it on the other hand is fine with me.
You can exspect a lot more heated discussions about mining and masternodes rewards the coming weeks, as we are getting closer to those network polls.

Do you think mining rewards will increase? And why are masternodes being mentioned all over the place in recent weeks so much so than ever before?

Those are all valid points quizzie. Also, XKCD has made valid points in his comments. But they're insufficient to address the issues at hand which are chronic and fundamental in terms of loss of market share. Doing "more of the same" isn't going to fix it IMO. Compared to bitcoin or litecoin we've already got massive reward ratios for nodes which are ridiculous compared to the cost of running them. We've also got far more versatility in the chain functionality, yet w've sunk out of trace on rankings and they are buoyant, including the forks. This isn't a problem of "too much mining reward". All the top coins have nearly twice that of Dash.

It's helpful to see the "economics" of the coin in at least 2 layers of context. At the protocol level there only a few variables which makes it much easier to analyse than the morass of nebulous complexity of the broader market and holder demographics.

We need to "engineer" that inner protocol model so that all the variables are perfectly tuned with each other, work in harmony and it's bullet proof. I've already demonstrated how easy it is in the last 2 posts - it's almost back of the envelope stuff and is only basic due diligence apart from anything else.

IMO, the reason I've been at cross purposes with others in these discussions is because I'm addressing flaws in the core protocol economics and they're countering with anecdotal solutions from the broader market context. Ok - some of those may be valid, but it's again like leaving the brakes on and just fitting a bigger engine instead.

If something is flawed or unstable in that inner protocol economics model then it's going to be felt all the way to the outer layers but it'll be impossible to detect where the problem originates cos it'll be buried in clouds of opinionated ambiguity that's unresolvable.

So returning to your question:
Quote
Why is it unstable
, the answer is that the above analysis of core protocol model (whether we take my "500 Dash supply" market perspective or your "1000 Dash supply") requires Dash to lose market share or miners to mine at a 50% loss either of which destabilises the core protocol model.

The only way that model comes back into stability IMO is:

1. ramp the mining reward back up significantly. This would restore the lost competitively described in Example 1 previously. It will also solve the conflict of priorities between that and mining viability described in Example 2

2. continue to evolve the service provision layer to "mop up" the asymmetric margin over cost in the part of the primary supply that's "gifted" to masternodes. (Because if we don't, the market will do it for us by devaluing the coin further)

3. between 1 and 2 we will then have a more "measurable" value added provision by masternodes and this will feed positively back to both the supply deficit challenge (Example 1) and the mining sustainability challenge (Example 2) to mitigate them

We will then have a sustainable, competitive protocol economics model that isn't in conflict with itself, can market the primary supply competitively and sustains mining. With all that in place the price can rise and masternodes will start to benefit as well with dollar-valued rewards that are more in line with original expectations.
6852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: June 26, 2020, 10:21:50 PM
Yes without a doubt Fury respects Wilder, he spoke highly about him after the victory but that does not mean he will show Wilder any mercy when they meet in the ring again.

Wilder has already the psychological aspect of the fight. It will be a big mental struggle if he ever walks through the ropes and in to a ring with Fury again.
That's a disadvantage people are seeing why they are beating against Wilder and Fury remains the favorites.

Let's see if this fight will happen soon, it's the only chance of Wilder to even with Fury, and if he can do that, it will be a trio of Fury, Wilder and AJ which are the best boxers in heavyweight. I hope we will not be surprise as most of us are expecting Wilder is done.

Fury still respect Wilder.

Maybe there is more to this story than meets the eye, maybe your theory about him pre-empting any possible action against him (by mentioning suicide) might have some weight.

It does seems somewhat strange for someone to have over $2 million in winnings then show/claim signs of depression or confusion.

At the end of the day dude won a ton of money and he should be happy for it right?

I mean I don't know the reasons behind wanting to not live anymore and there could be a ton of reasons and could be quite serious reasons as well, there are so many bad things going on in the whole world and one of them could have happened to the gambler, he could be living the worst life in the whole earth (doubtful if he has access to internet and funds to gamble).

However we are talking about 200+ bitcoins, around 2 million dollars, that is a ton of money and I don't care how bad your life is, if you win 2 million dollars it is a good thing and not a bad thing, no matter what is going on with your life. So, I assume the theory that he acted as if suicidal to disappear so that nobody would follow and try to hack him or dox him to get some money out of him.
6854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Pundi X - Any store can buy, sell and accept Cryptocurrency on: June 26, 2020, 05:16:58 PM
Do you personally think Binance will be convinced to keep NPXS going on their trading pairs for much longer? I think the writing is on the wall for them and it is only a matter of time before they collapse. Their only saving grace might be an increase in trading volume or a product announcement that actually works and makes money. That might be enough to avoid or at the very least delay the obvious decline in to the abyss of a dead coin/token for Pundi X.

Indeed, they arent doing well. They just got hyped, and never actually went anywhere. The only thing that might keep NPXS alive on Binance, is volume and/or the Dev team showing Binance they're legit project that back up what they're claiming to accomplish, and a strong community supporting it !

Point taken  Grin

I was just giving my opinion and perspective. Either way both of the fighters have to actually win in order for their careers to progress but as of right now even though neither has won because the fight has not taken place - the odds on favourite according to bookmakers is Joshua, granted it does not mean he will actually win.

Advantage? maybe there is but we never know, we were thinking that Manny would lose against Thurman because he is already 41 years old Thurman was 31, but at the end of the round, Manny was declared as the winner. So it could also happen in this fight, who knows.
6858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: June 26, 2020, 10:38:41 AM
Pulev is 39 years old and Joshua is 30 years old so age should play some part but either fighter is capable of ending the fight in the early rounds. The longer the fight goes on the more the odds probably favour Joshua.

Tyson Fury Won against Deontay Wilder and put a record of lost in his career, Anthony Joshua should have taken Tyson Fury as his next opponent but Kubrat Pulev is a mandatory opponent for him, but if this goes well for Joshua I think that will be the next fight for him to take,

Apparently even though Kubrat Pulev had a good record in his career with only one lost to Wladimir Klitschko I think his 28 wins is nothing to Joshua's 23 wins over his career at the age of only 30, he is pulling out something like this, So I think their Age, in my opinion, may have an impact to Kubrat Pulev.

Why is it weird and funny to see a thread titled "Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!!" not discussing Joshua?

You could find plenty of discussion about Joshua in the aptly titled thread "Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev" here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5229954.0

Weird and funny to see that no one is interested in AJ and we have 22 pages of discussion of Wilder-Fury third potential fight.

Will AJ-Ruiz third fight got same hot discussion as it is here? Smiley Future Career of AJ is so in shadow and dependable from Wilder-Fury fight that is makes me smile.
