When you are investing into a casino you should always know about the variations. A lot of times your investment will move like crazy because this is a casino and people do act a bit weird in casinos. For example some dude can come in with 100 bitcoins, earn 200 bitcoins total, and lose all of it together all in one hour. This means your investment will go down a lot and gain a lot after that, all in an hour.

So, if you are investing for future profits, you should know to hold all of your money in investment for a long period, if you don't and get out very quickly on first loss, you will definitely make a loss. If you want to calculate the gains, you should check how much is wagered and calculate 1% house edge on that and check the total investments and divide that profit to that bankroll and see how much you can earn on average.

Definitely this.

I think that would be an extreme level to go to for a false flag style distraction. There is probably much more to this story than meets the eye but it might take a few weeks more before it all becomes known.

Wow, a User called Europol sure did a small cleanup yesterday in his session...
184 BTC were won....  Shocked

I saw he ended up +213 BTC, and then posted something along the lines that having so much money is too much pressure and he doesn't deserve to be rich  -- so he plans on killing himself and leaving the money to his family. He then deleted his account after that.

I hope he's alright, seems like he's a bit overwhelmed with his win :/

Probably a false-flag in an attempt to hide the money won, which definitely didn't work out. One of his old friends before he won all the BTC threatened to dox him for some coins. Guess he tried to run from that, but didn't work in the end as he ended up folding and parting with some of the BTC.

if you read on what Daniel said about the subject then you can also read that the winner was thinking about suicide.... It was a life changing amount for him.
I Quote Daniel:
Suicide is really not a solution to anything but just ignoring the problem all together. We know that from outside we are thinking about helping people who are thinking about it, and it is a very serious topic, it is the most important topic in a person's life, it is death, there is nothing that is more serious than death in the world. However helping someone who does something like this will not be easy, it is a very very sensitive subject that anything you could say probably already crossed that persons mind. I mean it is end of all their life if they actually go through with it, don't you think they have considered everything possible. The only sort of help they could get which could actually help them is a professional one, nothing we say here could help them but a professional could really change things around (or maybe couldn't) and I hope he seeks for it.

So hard to enter and give an advice especially if the person affected is not unto you or not close to your life since they will end up not listening to the words feed to them so if a case we notice that a person is the same like this maybe its really best to call a professional immediately since they are the one who can give medication and other personal help to those affected person. Also the close relatives should extend their helping hands since they can also give a what we call first aid help.

It is quite impossible to make someone listen to you when it is a serious subject and you are on internet. This is suicide we are talking about and I know that if I have a chance at talking to someone who wants to commit suicide and I can say anything I want, I could talk for hours and all I would achieve is postpone the suicide and that's about it.

I really doubt that I would be capable of actually stopping anyone, I wouldn't know what to say in a professional manner, I didn't study psychology, sure I would say something, we would all say something to convince them to not do it, however we are not professionals and all we would say is stuff coming out of our hearts and that's it, nothing tangible. So, it is a very very tough spot to be on, you need to actually do something to stop someone doing it but you don't know if you can.

At the end of the day dude won a ton of money and he should be happy for it right?

I mean I don't know the reasons behind wanting to not live anymore and there could be a ton of reasons and could be quite serious reasons as well, there are so many bad things going on in the whole world and one of them could have happened to the gambler, he could be living the worst life in the whole earth (doubtful if he has access to internet and funds to gamble).

However we are talking about 200+ bitcoins, around 2 million dollars, that is a ton of money and I don't care how bad your life is, if you win 2 million dollars it is a good thing and not a bad thing, no matter what is going on with your life. So, I assume the theory that he acted as if suicidal to disappear so that nobody would follow and try to hack him or dox him to get some money out of him.

Money is love changing! There are people that win the lottery and become suicidal, they dont know How to act with all the money towards friends and family.

Yes, I understand that money is a big change however how could it be bad? I mean look at it this way, this dude has money a bit, he also can gamble on a crypto crash website and win 200+ bitcoin. This means he is not one of those people who are starving to death and boiling shoes in Venezuela so that they do not die.

Of course there are plenty of reasons to suicide and I get it but I am just trying to paint you a picture of what type of life he might have. It could still be very bad but if you live in a place with infrastructure that helps you get online and gamble, that means with 200 bitcoins you could at least buy a great house and a great car and help pay all your debt and even some of your families debt as well. How could this make you feel any worse than you are feeling now? How could 200 bitcoin could lead to anything worse?

Of course. Judging by his bets and such I think he wasnt poor to start off with. But winning that amount puts pressure on you. Friends begging for money, family could start begging for money. It was overwhelming, I hope for his sake it was just a saying and he is happily enjoying life with his great winnings!-

Maybe there is more to this story than meets the eye, maybe your theory about him pre-empting any possible action against him (by mentioning suicide) might have some weight.

It does seems somewhat strange for someone to have over $2 million in winnings then show/claim signs of depression or confusion.

I agree with you, a good amount of money like this is sure to be making a lot of improvement in this guy's life and not only that but for those around him too. This is the power of money, it can make your everyday financial and sometimes health worries disappear in an instant. It really is glorious to be this lucky, and for sure this is not something that could lead to anything bad. This guy at least had some brains to even consider crypto, right  Huh and the fact that he got lucky is super cool! I wish I had that kinda money...

If you lose friends and family because of it?
Say you have friends and family and everyone has their own basic salary... now they come to find out youre rich, you have won a huge lump sum of cash... Of course everyone will come up to you begging for and asking for money. Now if they are shitty friends, they will no longer want to talk to you for not sharing...
Friends you didnt even know you had will come asking for piece of the pie.

Of course. Judging by his bets and such I think he wasnt poor to start off with. But winning that amount puts pressure on you. Friends begging for money, family could start begging for money. It was overwhelming, I hope for his sake it was just a saying and he is happily enjoying life with his great winnings!-
Having friends begging for money, family begging for money, everyone in the whole world begging for money is not really a reason to commit suicide though is it? I mean everyone in the whole world could come asking for money and I could simply give them the same answer and all of them would have to understand, they could hate me or never talk to me anymore but I would tell them all the same thing ; "half of it gone to taxes, other half I bought two houses to rent out and make money".

Now they know that I only have 2 income from 2 houses as rents and nothing more, I have zero left, I will have a source of income but people do not come asking for money for your income, I earn a salary and nobody asks me for anything. not all are gold diggers but there are those legit people that does not need money , they only need friendships  .

if they found out that your rich or you won , they can also get shock and say exagerated expressions but dont judge them yet  and i think you will find out thier real behavior if you will monitor them  . we are going out of the real discusion guys  , its better if we make seperate topic for those matter to avoid this thread getting clogged up  .

I am just wondering, if I invest in a bankroll, how long does it usually take to recover 2% dilution fee? I invested yesterday and I am deeply in red.

You can derive/guess from historical stats: https://dicesites.com/bustabit although it'll massively be affected by variance (i.e. it's not unusual for someone to win or lose 100+ BTC).

But realistically if your time frame isn't measured in months or years, it's a pretty bad investment.

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

Looking at the stats, I guess you could say that bustabit turns over around 6k BTC per week on average. EV of that is 60 BTC (1% edge), which becomes an EV of 30 BTC for investors. With a 7.4k BTC bankroll, investors are expected to profit 0.4% weekly, so it's expected that it'll take 5 weeks to recover the 2% dilution fee. However, like RHavar said, there is a ton of variance so you could recover all of the fee and then some tomorrow or wait half a year or longer.

taking a break - expect delayed responses

Like RHavar said, it will take a bit and I wouldnt check my stats daily. It will drive you crazy and make you worry! I speak from experience  Wink

Just invest, dont forget about it and check every couple of weeks.
You should be in this for the long run
