why does blazedout have "silverwallets" as his website, but a bit-x signature campaign?

Because he co-owns Silver Wallets but chooses to advertise for bit-x.

I remember about this now (bolded some interesting bits). TerraHasher knows about the interesting bit of information that he quickly deleted (perhaps he could tell us about it?).

Well he could but he was paid rather handsomely to not do so.

I'm kind of new around here but it seems to me that TerraHasher is WoodCollector.  Anyone know for sure that he isn't?

I doubt it, but it looks like Woodcollector has hired people to do some 'promoting' for him and I'm sure these people would go a little further for a bit of extra cash. He may have even purchased some accounts or just offered them money to make a few posts in his favour, though it's hard to confirm or deny a lot of this stuff without other evidence coming to light but there's a lot of shady/suspicious behavior going on.

Huh. He doesn't seem inactive, it was probably self-requested. Thanks for the info.

20 posts since May is pretty inactive, but you could still have a very low forum presence and yet still actively moderate and handle reports. tysat has only made two posts since July but logs on regularly and handles some reports.

He was a global moderator right? is that why Mitchell was made a staff member?

I'm not sure of his mod status but it had nothing to do with Mitchell becoming a Made Man  Cheesy. He was made a mod of the Dutch section because the previous mod resigned.
6844  Other / Meta / Re: Putting your address in profile field? on: January 21, 2015, 07:02:47 PM
Is this used for recovering your account? If I put my address in the field can I keep it private and from public eyes?

No and no. The best way to secure your account is to just have addresses associated with it in posts or like Welsh said PM one to default trust.
6845  Other / Meta / Re: Where art thou Moderator Malevolent? We miss you. on: January 21, 2015, 06:59:03 PM
@hilariousandco: Wait, really? There have been demoted staff recently...? I haven't noticed...though I guess you wouldn't if they're inactive...only one I've noticed is John K. but that was a while ago.

Don't quote me on the exact reasons but I assume it was due to inactivity, though they could've requested to be removed or some other reason. Hazek is one I know of: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=5266

Anyone know what was in those redacted posts? A bit weird he publicly posted it rather than PMd (though I'm sure he tried that as well but panicked).

Really .... no , he should prove his "honesty" why someone should pay him ?  WoodCollector  take a piece of wood ( bad wood) and make something....

You won't hear from him publicly again on this forum. He'll try to grab some cash via PM on his way out the door and he'll be gone. Probably come back in a few months, or a year or two, with a new name and scam everyone all over again.

I think he's done here now. There's no way he could re-brand himself. People would see through it straight away. The only way he could continue or restart would be to offer his products truthfully as laser-engraved but I doubt the community will let him do that easily without a bit of hassle.

Hi there, sorry for not having the time to read 600 pages so I have to ask:
Are you planning to open the signature campaign again to the non-staff individuals? What ranges will be admited? Will it be automated like the awesome Bitmixer.io? It's always a pain in the ass having to deal with people, so automation is great for this.

Will the rates be any better?

As far as I know it will be automated payments but nothing has been confirmed yet. The last update it was stated the campaign will be open to Senior and above but will likely be rolled out to lower ranked members at some point after, though again, any of this could change. I'd just wait for further updates from stunna to clarify further.

<snip>

If this is not done by a laser what causes the burn marks and the lines?

Probably the burn marks come from using his enormous lathe chisels so quickly.

Haha. I must admit I was surprised how fast he was churning these out. I have little knowledge of the actual craft but these pieces would certainly take a very long time to perfect by hand.

I can't believe some people are still trying to defend him.  Crazy.

I don't really think anyone spent 14k on a piece. I think that is a shill to drive business on these smaller items.  If someone did spend 14k on a piece of laser etched wood.... well that money must have not meant much to them in the first place.

The people defending him are likely socks.

I'm not trying to defend him. If he used a laser and didn't tell his customers that it is wrong.

I just think the pieces he carves / lasers / whatever he does do look nice and at least he does deliver a product to his customers.

Yeah, he delivers a product but not one as described or what they thought they were getting.

Stunna, is your tracking bot can track down trust score ? ( If PD's signature campaign doesn't allow someone with red feedback to join in )

Example : if someone receive red feedback, that user will be ban from the campaign automatically

Those could just be manually removed along with spammers etc.

Where can I find leaked document?

You probably can't. It's likely fud or misinformation spread by someone for whatever reason.

The writing is terrible. There is no story. It is just an endless series of random "nerd" jokes that are backed by nothing. The acting is also terrible as a result of the terrible writing leaving nothing to act. And the studio audience is prompted to laugh at everything that happens which is very annoying. One time i was watching and it started with Sheldon just sitting on the couch eating and the audience was laughing like crazy for a good five seconds.

For some reason and even out of context I wondered if this was going to be about The Big Bang Theory even before I got to the Sheldon bit.
6854  Other / Meta / Re: Selling carded/stolen accounts allowed on this forum? on: January 21, 2015, 09:44:18 AM
It's not allowed but merely suspecting without any proof that items are being purchased with fraudulent cards likely isn't enough for us to remove threads.
6855  Other / Meta / Re: Where art thou Moderator Malevolent? We miss you. on: January 21, 2015, 09:37:24 AM
A mod only gets paid by how active they are in moderating so if you're not handling reports or only a small percentage every month you won't get a share or at the most very little. I think mods who aren't active for long periods of time will at some point lose their status as I think a couple have fairly recently, but it's likely on a case by case basis. I'm sure you wouldn't lose your mod status if you decide to take a holiday or go travelling for a while as long as you told the admins about it beforehand, but a month or so isn't a biggie. I do think this is one of the reasons we need some more active global mods though.
6856  Other / Meta / Re: As Chief of Police of the Crypto Police Department I Subpoena the forums on: January 20, 2015, 05:36:54 PM
I'm guessing the location (geographical, computer, wallet or whatever) isn't as much of a problem as much as access (physical, password, encryption or whatever) is...

Somebody logged into his bitcointalk account after he died, so he gave someone else the password to it. It's possible he also gave someone the password to his wallet.

Maybe he didn't give anyone his password and they just booted up his computer. If bitcointalk was one of his open tabs or homepage that could explain it.

So you're saying that a staff member here logged into his account? it was mentioned by hilariousandco and other staff here that they thought it was a family member who logged in.

On top of that he knew he was terminally ill for a while, so it's not like it's hard to believe that there may be a chance he gave his family his wallet password.

Where did I say that? (though it is more likely).

If he was terminally ill why wouldn't he have made arrangements to return the money? Has his death actually been 100% confirmed?
6857  Other / Meta / Re: DPR subpoena on: January 20, 2015, 08:06:44 AM
would also doubt that receiving a subpoena is something that is unusual for theymos considering how much commerce takes place here and how many scams there are.

From the op of this very thread:

You might be surprised to learn that this is the first subpoena I've received for the forum.

Though I'm sure it'll be the first of many.
6858  Other / Meta / Re: DPR subpoena on: January 20, 2015, 07:21:38 AM
It would probably not be theymos to receive such a subpoena, it would probably be the gaw forums (their hosts ect) to receive it as a lot more of the manipulation apparently took place there then on bitcoin talk (because of their lack of ability to censor information).

It already mentioned their own forum earlier in the quote but this seems to br another additional one which I can only assume is here.
6859  Other / Meta / Re: DPR subpoena on: January 20, 2015, 07:10:45 AM

Is that legit? I don't know why someone who was working on the case would leak such information to this coinfire site.

Quote
Coin Fire has obtained over 1,000 pages of an investigation file from a confirmed Commission employee that also has a bombshell draft of a potential enforcement litigation action against the company. The documents given to Coin Fire editors contain several hundred references to deleted forum posts on the company owned-and-operated Hashtalk forums, emails from potential victims of securities fraud, news stories from various websites, numerous social media postings, a sealed subpoena demanding the IPs associated with certain accounts on a well-known site where Garza and potential sock puppets have operated.

If true does that mean theymos will be recieving another subpoena?

You should put you need an Indonesian member in the title as that's quite specific.
