6841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs bounties suck...do not believe them on: April 05, 2018, 04:10:20 PM
Well there are really shitty ICO's to begin with but most of them paid, but the problem is that most of the time, their tokens become 0 value overtime so if you choose to hold, then you might be end up losing the tokens that they have paid you in your work.

Also, you can work with them and ask you to pay in fiat instead of token. And you also have the right to not accept ICO if you deemed that their tokens could potentially have 0 value.

R3 Researcher: Central Bank Blockchain Could Go Live In 2018

A form of central bank digital currency (CBDC) may go live in 2018.

At least that's according to Antony Lewis, research director at global banking consortium and distributed ledger software startup R3, who issued the prediction during a panel discussion at the Deconomy event in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday.

"For wholesale use (of CBDC), I think we are looking at this year. We have had conversations with central banks who have mandates to fix certain payment problems, and one solution they look to is a blockchain type of platform," Lewis said.

Yet, Lewis clarified that this does not mean consumers will have a new payment choice that functions like bitcoin or ether do today, per se. In fact, Lewis projected that such a cryptocurrency would be used only by select financial institutions to start.

In this way, Lewis argued such a system would likely even only be used in certain specific situations, such as in instances of disaster recovery due to their current limitations.

He argued:

"Don't make your secondary (decentralized) system look like your primary (centralized) system. Otherwise If a primary system goes down in an attack, then all the attackers need to do is just to play the same trick. Then it's not resilience, it's just another IP address to attack."

6843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money on: April 05, 2018, 03:45:15 AM
we don't need to regulate cryptocurrencies but regulations can be also helpful with the adoption and growth of them or they can be restrictive and even prevent the adoption altogether. in the end it will come down to what they are regulating and how. for example if it is regulation of exchanges and if it leads to a more secure place where people can trade with less risk that would be a very good thing.

Exactly, as much as we don't want crypto to be regulated, I think it's gonna be a win-win situation for us. We all know that there are a lot of criminals using crypto as a cloak to their illegal activities. It crypto will be somewhat regulated, it will bring legitimacy, more secure and those criminals will be having a hard time hiding their dirty money in crypto with regulations like KYC/AML that trading platforms is going to require from all of us.
6844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: day trading for quick profit on: April 05, 2018, 03:35:29 AM
Hello any suggestion for trade every day and make good profit ? like 50$ day.
i think the best pair are BTC USDT ? is possible to trade only this or need difference the crypto ?

If you prefer to do day trading, you need to maximize the entire crypto market. You cannot make daily profit if you just focus on the BTC:USDT pair. There are days when the Bitcoin market is all downtrend. You will be losing during those days. You need to explore the hundred plus pairs in the exchange platforms that you are using. Maximize all these pairs, and if you are already prepared in terms of day trading skills, you will reach your 50$ daily profit goal.

Right, the the BTC-USDT pair to me is the best way to make a lot of money in this bearish trend. For one, I believed that daily traders are a sort of the kings of the market today. Imagine buying 1 bitcoin a  few days ago and quickly dumping it when it goes to $7500. Instant $1K profits in 2-3 days. But you need to have a good capital and know what you are doing otherwise it can also mean quick lost on your end if you didn't dump it at the perfect time.
6845  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis is Coming on: April 05, 2018, 03:15:31 AM
Stocks droped low indeed same as the value of bitcoin and i see that these two has a thread linked on each other where their price depends on themselves. But it doesnt stated that this drop is permanent. Its the lowest drop for a long time means it will recover some time soon. I hope and I will trust my insticts today. HODL people.

Well stocks also fell the same time the crypto market went into a crisis. So yes, its a global phenomena, maybe because of the impending USA vs North Korean war. But it was averted so I guess its just people reluctant to shell out money in the market right now.

I also think that this is temporary based on the historical events. Bitcoin fell, it recovered, bounce back and hit all-time-high. So its just a matter of time before we can get up again to our feet and see the price increasing like everyday.

6847  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't lose your faith in BTC. on: April 04, 2018, 11:57:22 PM
Really nice to see the graph and the history behind bitcoin crashes and its historic rise. Of course, I'm not losing my faith because I'm in it for the long haul and I'm seeing that in the next 5-10 years. we are really going to hit 6 figures.

I need more patience and just hold not listen to FUD. Another thing is that you have that kind of mental toughness not to be tempted to sell your bitcoins. Keep calm and HODL.
6848  Economy / Speculation / Re: $7,700 will be the next hurdle on the upside on: April 04, 2018, 11:47:34 PM
BTC fails to dip below $6,600 effectively, if you’ve learnt to use my theory of selling at breakthrough point, decent profits should be easy to make. Take a look at hourly chart:

[sniff]

BTC has been remaining supported at $6,600 in the past 3 sessions, volumes obviously shrink today, making the dip below $6,600 not an effective breakthrough, or we can say it’s fake.

Later, an upper shadow just brings price back above $6,600, bulls are temporarily guarding important levels and lack the momentum to initiate a reversal in trend as volumes remain low.

The minor bottom formed at $6,600 is expected to witness an oscillating rally, which is believed to lengthen the period of downtrend, if price manages to hold above it.

[sniff]

As mentioned in my previous analysis, strength of such rally will be limited, making it possible for price to remain above $6,600 in the past 3 sessions.

Volumes during current uptrend remain insufficient, indicating that the range of a short-term rally will be small.

$7,700 will be the ceiling for a rally as bullish momentum is limited and the overall downtrend remains intact, making it profitable for daily traders.

Original by Kuang Ren, translated and posted by AICoin Jami.
It seems that the daily traders had been controlling the market and they will not give us a chance to reach the price at $8k as they will counter it with their more dumps and get their profits easily.

Exactly, very sad that this will be the new trend, daily traders will take every opportunity to get the profits resulting in the price not getting as what we are expecting it to be.

I'm happy seeing the price getting to almost $7500 and before daily traders took over and now we are back below $7K the last time I check the price. Unless we see the bulls, the daily traders will simply book anything even if its just minor profit.
6849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you still get rich with crypto? on: April 04, 2018, 11:37:11 PM
Definitely, and with all the coins at a discount right now, perfect time to get it today and just hold on for long term. That's how many of our early adopters become rich anyways, buy cheap and then just let it sit on their wallet for at least 2 years. My wallet is already full as of the moment. But I also investment in some coins wherein I can play. Meaning, will do day trading and see it it goes for me. Maybe I will not be millionaires, but still I can earn money easy.
6850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is the crypto industry going to look like in 5–10 years? on: April 04, 2018, 11:27:11 PM
For me bitcoin will still be the king of crypto as demand will still be higher in the next 5-10 years. And imagine bitcoin getting scarce as we are getting closing to almost 99% of all being mine as well, I wouldn't be surprise if the price is already in the 6 digits.

As for the whole crypto, all we know that when bitcoin goes up, most coins increases as well. So again, I'm not going to be surprise if other coins in the top 10 will going to reach all-time-high as well.
6851  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good opportunity to buy or huge risk to lose money on: April 04, 2018, 11:17:27 PM
If you are planning to get into cryptocurrency investment, you must at first be a risk taker for cryptocurrencies are volatile in its price where you can buy it at a very low price today, and it will go down further the following day. Or at best, will start to skyrocket the next day.

If you are really planning to go into crypto investment, it must be long term though. Well, for me that's how I'm going to do. The December madness is over, we should look at the bright side, this is the perfect opportunity to get in while bitcoin is still cheap. And just waited it out till the next massive bull run that will take the price further.

So its gonna be a win win situation for you if you are on it for the long haul. Less stress on your part as you don't need to peak at the price very often, and if we can replicate what we can seen in December 2017 then your investment will grow overtime.

6852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will silence its haters... on: April 04, 2018, 10:57:48 PM
we know that many people do not like the presence of Bitcoin,
Are you sure in the future people who hate Bitcoin will be silent and regret because of Bitcoin triumphs...  Grin

Apparently, there are really a lot of who hate bitcoins. Just look at how countries banning hit and central bank throwing attacks on the crypto sphere. But they can't really put it down no matter what they are going to say about it. People will still put money on the market because everyone wants to earn a good amount in the future. There will be people who will regret their decisions not to enter the and join the bandwagon. But its their fault, because they are too ignorant and dumb not to see crypto as good long term investment.
6853  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to hit $3k ? on: March 29, 2018, 02:33:30 PM
Anything is possible
BTC is not doing well at the moment

Yeah, although there are still strong supports, but I'm sure when its broken, panic selling will follow like dominoes. But I do hope that the price will not go that low. But hey, if its goes to $3K then I guess we should look at the bright side of it.

That is very very cheap so again, I hope that everybody sees is as a good time to buy so that we can see the market go up again, or it can start for another bull run.
6854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to sell all my btc as its too low now :( on: March 29, 2018, 02:20:06 PM
Hi guys me want suggestions

me planning to sell all my btc and wana buy etherium  ETH as btc is down 6.23 % in 24 hr and eth is down 10.68 % so me thinking best time to buy eth as it will grow

what says guys ?

I think you have to look at the bigger picture here. Everyone is suffering not just bitcoin, ethereum is down as well. And if you do sell then I'm sorry but when bitcoin goes to the moon, I'm sure that you will regret your decision later.

Much better to stick with bitcoin and look at it for the long term dude. I thought that you will just sell bitcoin and re-invest later, but moving or shifting your funds? I don't think that its a wise move.
6855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Little News about bitcoin March / 1 Week on: March 29, 2018, 02:06:31 PM
How about Belarus?

https://news.bitcoin.com/crypto-business-is-now-legal-in-belarus/

Or Facebook, Twitter or Google banning crypto ads? no?

Or Bitfinex, following Binance moves to Malta, is contemplating of moving to Switzerland as well?

https://www.ccn.com/major-cryptocurrency-exchange-bitfinex-weighs-move-to-switzerland/

Worth the news don't you think for March?
6856  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Early rumors became true, Crypto Business Is Now Legal in Belarus on: March 29, 2018, 01:56:55 PM
Earlier we heard that Belarus going to legalize bitcoin and cryptocurrency in Belarus . and now the news confirmed. here is the news link https://news.bitcoin.com/crypto-business-is-now-legal-in-belarus/

What early rumors? If I'm not mistaken, they are offering 5 years tax free for companies that are going to setup some crypto related business in their country so I'm not totally surprise by their moved.

But the thing, this kind of news should somewhat be high-lighted as compare to negatives news like the Mt. Gox trustee offloading or social media giants banning crypto ads.
6857  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price will keep moving downwards along with MA5 on: March 29, 2018, 01:31:24 PM
The only thing that worth noted on his prediction is For long-term traders, positions can be set up from now.

Of course this is another perfect opportunity to buy it a cheap price and hold on it for long term. As for the downfall, we still have strong support at $7500-$7K so I don't think that we will continue to slide moving forward.

But obviously if it breaks then another golden opportunity. So let's look at the bright side of this bearish trend and hope that the bulls will take over around the start of Q2.
6858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How volatile is BitCoin? on: March 29, 2018, 01:21:58 PM
How does the BitCoin rise in future depending on how volatile is BitCoin?

January 2017 price of bitcoin: ~1K usd
December 2017 price of bitcoin: ~20K usd
March 2018 price of bitcoin ~7500 usd

So that alone shows how the price is very volatile. To rise in the future, there need to be some positive news that will push the price to pick and rally and made another bull run. The rise to almost $20K was brought with the news that financials institutions like CME and CBoE offering bitcoin future contracts. Sadly though, I think it can also be considered as a contributory to the downfall as what we have been witnessing today.
6859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's Going on With TRX? on: March 29, 2018, 01:12:29 PM
I think it's the only thing breaking out in the middle of this never ending bear market.  Does anybody know what's going on?  Some rumors, gossip or some juicy hype story to somehow back up the pump...?  Grin

I'd like to hear them.  And fyi, I got no TRX.  I missed it.  I'm interested in what's making it rise like it's in a bull market tho...

Hey mate, you may want to checked this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3201008.0 -> TRX being dumped daily by a Market Maker!

So it is to be expected. However, it seems that you are late though. I still remember that there is one thread about a few days ago as well saying that it will be pumped so hard, so I don't know what you missed it.  Grin
6860  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-03-28]Survey: Younger Koreans More Likely to Invest in Crypto on: March 29, 2018, 12:59:00 PM
Survey: Younger Koreans More Likely to Invest in Crypto

Nearly a quarter of South Koreans in their twenties want to invest in cryptocurrencies, according to a new poll conducted by Bank of Korea.

Yonhap News reported Tuesday that the bank's survey examined cryptocurrency awareness among 2,511 Korean residents, with the age of the respondents ranging from people in their twenties to their seventies.

Notably, the survey found that roughly 30% of people in their twenties and 40% of those in their thirties are familiar with cryptocurrencies, while only 21.6% of the overall group was aware of the tech.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the numbers were not as high among the older generations: only the older generations, 5.7% of people in their sixties and 2.2% of people in their seventies had any knowledge of cryptocurrencies.

Younger survey participants also displayed a greater appetite for investing in cryptocurrencies. Some 24.2% of those in their twenties said they were "eager to invest in cryptocurrencies," according to Yonhap, compared to 20.1% for those in the thirties age-group.

Yonhap noted that an estimated 2 million people currently own cryptocurrencies in South Korea, or about 4% of the country's roughly 52 million residents, which is perhaps reflective of the fast-growing market for trading there.

And while Korean officials have reportedly raided three different exchanges as part of a larger embezzlement probe - signaling that regulators have no plans to stop policing the space - other firms are entering the market to capitalize on the interest.

The company behind Kakao Talk, the country's most popular messaging app, confirmed this week that it is launching a blockchain-focused subsidiary. At the same, it rejected rumors that it is preparing to launch a cryptocurrency and associated token sale.
