6841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Participation in many Airdrops: How profitable, how safe? on: December 20, 2017, 04:42:04 PM
Recently, I have participated in so many airdrops and in the process you are expected to give out your details. However, I have only received very few of the airdrops despite the number of airdrops i have participated in. It leaves me to wonder why I don't get to receive these tokens. Are there reasons why I don't eventually get them. Secondly, is participating in many airdrops safe?
If you didnt get those free tokens then its either you arent eligible or not included on the list because they might have a cut-off of participants or you didnt able to accomplish on the requirements that they do ask. Participating on airdrops is actually safe but be careful on giving informations which they do ask specially important ones. Profits would be also on random because not all coins are similar.
6842  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin versus other offline currencies on: December 20, 2017, 03:34:53 PM
I think bitcoin will be a fast transaction in the market because bitcoin  has a different from others bitcoin is have online transaction easy and no hassle unlike other offline currencies in the market that transact many days or months that many people dont like therefor people like now the bitcoin as they money transaction its easy way.
While making a comparison in between bitcoin and other regular currencies, we can treat this bitcoin just like a super currency having lot of advantages over the regular currency.

The best thing of having bitcoin is that it is not only a money but is also the best way of investing your money to make some good amount of profit as well. Other than this, it sort is increasing tremendously unlike other currencies.
In my opinion comparison of bitcoin with other offline currencies is not at all possible, because the facilities provided by the online system of crypto currencies at this early stage are much more than what offline currencies are offering.

The best thing about bitcoin among all is its 24/7 availability and and its transfer system. Just because of these two features, the banking system has seen really low transactions among the countries because people have adapted to bitcoin.

You are right they are different and there is no comparison of bitcoin with other currencies now bitcoin is rapidly increasing in price and value. So I am sure someday bitcoin will beat all other currency if they are comparing bitcoin with them. I trust bitcoin and I know in future bitcoin will be the world currency. I am waiting for the decision of other crypto industry that what they will decide about bitcoin value and price.
I go for offline currency which is more popular and the stability of its value in a sense of what you see is what you get. Yes the bitcoin is too high value right now and popular in many country, but think about online currency. What if someone hack all bitcoin in just a little click ( too many God like hacker on our time ) , do you think it's more convenient when someone stole all you effort in bitcoin community. Just adding some sort of thinking.
i do understand your doubts on bitcoin of hacking incident but i would say it would really need to take how many years for it to happen which quantum computers would really able to affect bitcoin. Comparing it on offline currencies then i would say fiat would really be still no. 1 no matter what and bitcoin is just really an alternative digital currency not only benefiting on its actual usage but also on the opportunity on making money.
6843  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: December 19, 2017, 10:13:36 PM
I don't think it is better then real estate , real estate will always be needed and always is a good investment.
It is better then stocks because it gives much better returns , i don't know how long that will go on for.
In terms of stability, security and longer terms i would rather choose up real estate over bitcoin. Im a crypto lover but when it comes to security i would go for traditional ways since i can somehow assure that this investment would really able to give you profits for longer runs. Bitcoin is good too but would really be just placed as an alternative for me or just an add up.
6844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: your mentality after a huge loss? on: December 19, 2017, 05:57:19 PM
The first thing I need to do is check the problems and errors in my investment strategy. For example, I invest in a company's stock, I need to understand what the problem is for a company, why the company's stock goes down. Also if I invest in a mutual fund, check whether there is a problem with my investment manager or indeed a bad economic condition.the same case if I invest in the investment of precious metal (gold) in my company and so on.
That is just usually the best thing to do. There must have been something one did wrongly and then once that is detected; it is just to take note of it, so as not to make the same mistake for the next trade and future ones.
I have made some buys before and I noticed as I was buying everyone was selling; only to find out it was being bounced from bittrex when I searched on Google. I had a huge loss, but nothing that was not prepared for.
There would really be those kind of situation on which we do really lose up money because of on our own negligence on not to research into fundamentals on any coins which we are engage. It always be and edge for to make such actions because we can do base on the things that we are potentially doing. If you did commit mistake which is normal but we can able to handle it for next time.
6845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Too late for mooners hoping 50x-100x to join the party. Boat has left on: December 19, 2017, 03:04:37 PM
For all of the investors hoping to make 100 fold and more returns the party is over if they are not I vested by now.
Last week before the rise would have been your last chance. Look at the char!ts now!
I am not saying that nice profits cannot be made still but all the coins who were still cheap like Iota, Verge, Ripple have risen almost tenfold.
I am in the same predicament. I have money sitting at Kraken, but don't know what to buy because everything has become so expensive.
At least for now the best hope to make 100 fold lies in icos if you ask me.
If you do really always target for 100 fold possible profits then you would really end up always on getting frustrated because you do always missed the boat on reaching out that target which i do consider as a normal thing because we cant really predict on the future and we do have different level or risking things. This is why those risk takers would really be paid of on the actions that they do have made.
6846  Other / Off-topic / Re: world without bitcoins......!!!1 on: December 19, 2017, 01:52:24 PM
If the world never has bitcoin, then forex will become very popular as a trading tool. But right now, I think bitcoin has beaten the forex of everything. Everyone starts switching to bitcoin. A world without bitcoin? may never appear a new businessman, or a rich man suddenly.
Do you have a proof? Have you seen the total volume trades on daily basis on forex? I would say it just a small percentage of forex related on bitcoins total volume. Forex is been here since for how many decades and we do know local fiat currency tradings is rampant thats why i would say forex volume cant really be compared on bitcoins volume. If it doesnt exist then we would been engaging on the things that have been experience where bitcoin isnt being invented.
6847  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump and Dump. How to make a profit? on: December 15, 2017, 07:32:38 PM
you can know any coin will be pumped and dumped by keep looking at the market everytime, lsee the price change and volume in market.
when the price pump, you can get some profit by make buy order fastly and sell it fastly when get 10% profit, if the coin keep pump the price, you can repeatedly do that.
when the price dump, it's really hard to make profit, the tendency of some coins that being dumped is always keep dump, so wait till the dump ends and start to buy it and sell then when its price get higher.

If I get stuck and tired of playing in the short term as you explain, I start planning the opposite and just by looking at developer and community trends, it's very effective to see long term benefits. Trade is not just about pump and dump, because art is actually a complex analysis to determine the final attitude, the gain will always be greater than loss.
Signature campaigns and all other type of campaigns you have mentioned are indeed very effective means of earning bitcoin for masses. People are really working hard and struggling as well passionately to be part of these campaigns.

I am sure that majority of the people who have some good skills are part of these campaigns. This is bets option for those who cannot buy bitcoin directly like already rich people.

exactly this is one of the best thing that can be done here cause every campaign here is valuable and has a great thing to be, what will be the best thing to be is you may become a good handle of money then you can make a profit , and you can save also. just do some task for what campaign you may joined for.
This is one of the ways on how to make money which doesnt really need for you to invest or pull out funds in your own pocket since we can potentially get or generate money with just our efforts. Regarding pump and dump this is common which turns out that most of those groups are just total frauds and scam specially to those people who arent aware on their scheme.
6848  Economy / Economics / Re: Threat to Crypto Currencies on: December 15, 2017, 06:36:39 PM
They are already doing it. Some governments have announced that they will issue their own cryptocurrency and many banks are behind some crypto. In that way, many alts can be threatened but Bitcoin is different because it has a limit of 21 million coins to be issued and because it is decentralized, so it has something to offer that the other cryptos can’t.

For me, governments and banks issuing cryptos is not as dangerous as most of the G20 group countries passing a hard ban on bitcoin.

The Google, Facebook, and Amazon are more dangerous than the government if they decided to implement their own cryptocurrencies. These big companies are trusted by consumers all around world, they have the money and power to make a coin of their own and dominate the market. These companies are influential enough to turn the tides, I just don't know when, or rather it already started like what tether is about now.
If they could create their own currency why they have not done so? And the answer is very simple because if they did, their CEO will be prosecuted for minting currency, the reason bitcoin cannot be shut down is that is decentralized while the corporations you are talking are the living image of centralization and monopolies in our era, so corporations are not a real threat at all.
Same thoughts regarding on this matter but we wont know if they would decide to create on their own coin since we do know that cryptocurrency is just new being known to them and they might already get the idea and might decide up to create on their own. They do have the capability since they do have the money and reputation to be used on but i do strongly believe that they would rather accept on those coins who are already being used by many which its either on btc or eth.
6849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wanted to join bounties but don't know where to start? on: December 15, 2017, 05:42:08 PM
which is better to take part in? the bounties or signature campaigns?
They are different because one is paying in bitcoins and other is paying in tokens.
With signature campaign which is paying in bitcoins is simple - you will earn bitcoins and hold.
Bounties are something to think about - first you have to choose good project, then after a month two or more you will receive tokens. Now this is tricky part - to sell them or to hold them. Price can go to moon or project can fail and you have wasted your time. You will probably learn thing or two about trading  Smiley
Thats the risk when you do decide up on whether which one you would join either on fixed income on btc campaigns which do give on weekly basis or would risk up to join on bounty campaigns since you would like to earn tokens which would potentially give you the profits or salary more than on the amount that you can generate on btc camps. Its just a matter of risk this is why its important to choose up the potential ones.
6850  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Yobit.net exchange - legitimate or not ? on: December 14, 2017, 06:53:02 PM
If you do ask me then i would say it would be on 50% legit and 50% scam since this exchange do really sucks on their service. Bad support system and do have lots of issues

Maybe you are talking about YoShit, not Yobit, lmao.

They are trash, no one can put money in there because they are never replying to support tickets, probably they are the same crap as bittrex only that they often reply to the tickets.

I suggest to everybody to stay away from this exchange, they are always putting crappy coins and scammy projects on their exchange because this is probably the only money source that they have, with the Dice, of course.

Yoshit exchange would be much more better to hear of. Grin Speaking on their dice it isnt really fair at all even you do set x2 multiplier and trying to roll it all you would still see losing streaks which can be seldom seen into other gambling site with the same odds which would really able us to see the difference and as a gambler we can really feel if those bets are rigged or not. This is why i dont really trust them on the very first place.
6851  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Yobit.net exchange - legitimate or not ? on: December 14, 2017, 05:06:10 PM
If you do ask me then i would say it would be on 50% legit and 50% scam since this exchange do really sucks on their service. Bad support system and do have lots of issues the thing on here is that you can able to buy up cheap coins but usually inside on this exchange are those shit coins that being mostly dump this is why buying on this site would really be too risky. They do always become shady after all these years.
6852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cloudflare 520 error when accessing both Kraken and Bitfinex on: December 13, 2017, 06:49:33 PM
Most likely cloudflare is having an issue, bitcointalk is giving me those errors and some other sites too.
You can always check their status here https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/ as it looks everything should be fine now.
This is true even this forum have this issue where it do error showing 520 which is really hassle specially when you do make browse and reading up and using those site. Sometimes it goes online and sometimes it do have error again.I didnt experience this on Kraken since i dont really use that site but on bitfinex it do have the same issue. The reason behind on this one is too much load up for sure.
6853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Myetherwallet problem on: December 12, 2017, 06:25:23 PM
You must put a certain amount of ETH (not token) to your account, at least 0.01 ETH, because the miners don't want to get paid with tokens. They take ETH or BTC (now we are back to BTC section Smiley ). There is told to be also a free service, but forgot, what service that was and don't know, how that works.
Exactly, this is the reason why that error is showing. Gas shouldn't be paid with token or shitcoin that you hold, they mean a lot for ETH only. Fees are really high now even with bitcoin and to ETH thanks to those cryptokitties out there that is helping the miners to ask for higher fees. I don't know what's that free service that you are saying, can you give me some idea about it?
I will have a look and edit this post, when I found it.
Edit: It seems, that was only for a specific token, that could be sent for free. But don't find it anymore. Anyway OP must fill his wallet with ETH.

He should pay with ETH not with those tokens that he holds, I wonder on how OP is doing today. If he's able to send what he's about to send or still stuck with it. Don't insist that you can send those tokens as the gas fee, there's no way for your transaction to proceed if you're not going to refill your MEW address with ETH.
Maybe OP do already forgot this thread he do make and might able to resolve his problem. When it comes to gas you would really need to pay up with ETH because you cant really remove any token or even eth itself if you dont have sufficient gas this is why on any transactions we do always be ready on the fee because no one will push that tx if you dont set sufficient fee.
6854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your ICO experience on: December 12, 2017, 04:45:35 PM
I know there are a lot of founders and managers who were launching or working for ICO projects. Could you please share your experience.

Let me start this discussion. My name is Aleksandra, I'm 24, from Saint-Petersburg. I work in KickCity company as a community manager. I do really enjoy my work and I find ICO period pretty exciting. KickCity is decentralized event management & marketing protocol on blockchain. Users will be rewarded for promoting events. Event organizers will save and users will be able to earn cryptocurrency. We have ready-made product. ICO will be launched the 1st of February and we work hard to bring working product right after ICO. Wish us luck!  Smiley

So what about you?

Sounds interesting, have you created a thread announcement here?

I think you should create a bounty program to introduce your project to investors or crpto users.

Thank you for nice words =)

Yes, we do have a tread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2118185.20
We also have telegram chat

Actually, bounty campaign is stopped by now

Your bounty manager is very good, I know the performance of Sylon. Why stopped?
I see in your roapmap that KickCity App Initial Release in Q4 2016, is it ready to use?
Theres no doubt on the performance of Sylon when it comes on handling bounty campaigns and same as you said this manager is good and do know on how to manage people which i do observe that most of the project he handle becomes successful but not all the time because there are still who do failed down. Regarding on their bounty they do stopped since the ICO have been postponed and would continue on February 1,2018 which they would decide to start up again.
6855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to preditct coin price? on: December 12, 2017, 03:07:08 PM
i really don't understand how the price increase or decrease?i saw that price coin changes randomly. If anyone help to know trading,I will be very grateful.
No one can predict the price which no one would really able to give you the answer on here and if someone do have the way on predicting prices then he might be rich as of now and wont tend to share up on his knowledge on predicting prices. This is the most hard part of doing trading which we wont even know on where do prices go but somehow we can able to manage on guessing basing on our predictions together with your knowledge and fundamentals that we do know on a certain coin.
6856  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Volatility A Bad Thing? on: December 10, 2017, 02:38:16 PM
Where does the idea of high volatility being an unnecessary evil come from?

I stripped the other parts of your post since this seems to be your main point.

So, this idea of volatility as something evil definitely stems from the fact that merchants aren't using Bitcoin internally. They are not interested in it simply because they are interested in dollars or whatever fiat currency they happen to make business with. In this way, Bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies certainly give them a lot of pain in the ass thanks to their insane volatility. It is a vicious circle of sorts. I mean merchants not using Bitcoin and it being volatile.
It would really give pain into their ass because they do always like fixed or stable prices which we cant really see on bitcoin itself this is why they don't really bother at all on accepting or engaging into it. Well we do have different level and perceptions into things on where we can take advantage and for most traders this feature or behavior of bitcoin is really like a gold thing on making more money.
6857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: December 10, 2017, 01:02:39 PM
now a lot of investors are investing in bitcoin, therefore bitcoin has increased very rapidly, if bitcoin decreased what should be done?, whether the investors will lose? Roll Eyes
As an investor you should really be prepared on this stuff because its always been part of the risk on investing on bitcoin of losing money knowing that it has a volatile price which means anytime you can lose up money depending on what price did you bought your bitcoins. Usually most people do panic specially newbie investors which they do sell on lose believing that bitcoin would go down but that's not the case because price of bitcoin do easily recover after such price decrease so the best advice here is to hold up your bitcoin and don't panic easily.
6858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ignore this Alt Speculation sub-forum until bitcoin price stabilises? on: December 09, 2017, 08:39:38 PM
When bitcoin goes up, Alts go down.

When bitcoin goes down, Alts go down.

When Bitcoin price is stable flat line then Alts prices go in the green.

All above happens regardless of any Alt and regardless how good the road map is for that Alt.

So in summary just ignore this Alt speculation sub forum till bitcoin price stabilisation?

Or which altcoins are independant from bitcoin and the above statements?
Its all random and theres no fix correlation with bitcoins price into alts price because there are instances on where price do go even on any situation.Alts would go with the flow and some would really go on its directions which means it doesn't really depend but seeing on common situation on where prices of bitcoin surges up its already normal to see that Alts go on reds because people are switching out to btc.
6859  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Wow. Totally amazing. on: December 09, 2017, 04:56:19 PM
We all pride ourselves on bitcoin this and bitcoin that.
I just set a very low fee for transactions on my electrum wallet. It's so low that is been hours and not even one confirmation yet. I assume that it will take days.
With this low fee, I had a look and it cost me .00041 btc for transaction. 8 dollars. Hahaha.  Wow. Explain to me people,  how is it better to use crypto currencies? Transaction taking days with a cost of  8.90 Australian dollars.
That's just pathetic.
Going back to Western union and bank transfers.

Looks like you intentionally set the fees so low. So what do you expect? I can't remember how much I set with my recent transaction but it took me around 48 hours if I'm not mistaken. I'm frustrated of course, but when I checked mempool its clogged with more than 200,000 unconfirmed transaction that time. But I'm happy that I get it in 2 days, unlike Western Union or Paypal which would allow you to get in 3-5 business days. Well, Lighting Network (LN) is being tested right now so it ever this will be implemented, this whole issue will be minimized.
If we do convert Australian dollar on usd then it would normally charged up 5usd which I do consider as high already and this fee is set out on default on electrum which I am using now.Its not actually low since I do consider this already as high and I cant imagine on the fee that you would need to pay up for a high priority transaction. It wont really be worth it at all. Network is congested right now expect miners would really demand for high fee.
6860  Economy / Economics / Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry? on: December 08, 2017, 07:49:22 PM
Title.

So. Electric cars are gaining in popularity, therefore the popularity of gasoline will be going down. Won't the price go down, leaving the oil industry in trouble?

A little trouble maybe, even though electric cars are powered by batteries, but it's will charge and use certain socket that came from gas generated energy like power plants, and other generators that uses gas unless electric cars have solar panels. They also need the oil for their engine for it to run smoothly. Most of the machines needs oils so it won't really leave the oil industry in trouble.
You do have a point on where Oil industry do have still the part of the economy which it do have an important role in our daily living.I cant imagine on life on the absence of oil industry for sure lots would really be disabled because it do really have a major impact into our economy. I would say if electric cars would really be imposed then I can say it can really give a major impact but not coming to a point that it would be diminished.
