6861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 03, 2022, 04:46:36 PM
According to my perception i don’t think it’s anything genetic. Suppose, gambling is legalized in a family that means someone in the particular family can gamble freely, then it is very simple for any child born in that family to grow up and become addicted to gambling. There are many people whose parents or family members do not gamble but one of the persons of that family become addicted to gambling. So I would never call it inheritance. I would blame it only on his environment where gambling is used normally.
Yes, because inheritance occurs when parents give something whatever it is to children with the message conveyed, but gambling is different. They or their parents play gambling, then the children see and then imitate the gambling activity itself, which means that there is no inheritance whatsoever and there is no genetic gambling. This case is purely an activity that occurs in the surrounding environment so that children do it too, and therefore I agree that gambling that grows in a family is not inherited and also not genetic.

I also don't believe with the inheritance factor to be addicted in gambling. It is more on the environment where you grew up. Because I have seen a lot of people who hate gambling because their parents are gamblers. So they want to change their lives for the better and don't want to follow the footsteps of their parents. So for me, it depends on the person himself. It is not about genetic.

however many experts argue that genetic factors can greatly influence a person to become an addict, any addict including gambling.  although what you say can be justified. a person who has inherited the gambler's gene can also refuse not to gamble this is normal and there are many reasons one of the examples you have mentioned. environment, education, intellectuals also play an important role. back on the topic of this thread, I don't think this conclusion is absolute.

Everyone is saying that the BTC bottom isn't in yet, this is literally what everyone is saying and most times the opposite of what people are expecting is what always happens in the crypto space, do not sleep on 10k per BTC, it may never happen.

well no one can predict 100% accurately you are right sometimes what happens is the opposite. the community is just trying to predict through thorough analytical techniques or just guessing, and today the bitcoin red market is down $19k. when this decline continues many of the new investors will be very panicked and what people are saying may happen.
6863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What can be done in this situation? on: July 03, 2022, 12:38:16 PM
What can be done to a bounty manager that failed to update the spreadsheet since the beginning of a bounty campaign till the end of the campaign and even after he did nothing, if you are wearing such signature campaign what will you do? Since you need to promote another project.

you should ask the bounty manager on the telegram line for spreadsheet updates if he ignores it means the bounty manager you are following is incompetent to do his job. Currently the bounty is not as profitable as the last 5 years but it doesn't hurt if you still want to participate. and I think you'd better switch to another campaign and choose a manager who has a good reputation.
beware usually such projects end up being scams.

People know the very definitions of that two words are capable of not being affected that much.

If you are not really engage that much and you are just using this venue for having fun or killing your extra time, you
are free of any changes to your mind or in your physical body.

But if you take this venue seriously, there are lots of changes that may affect you, not just your personal, but also
your mental conditions.

As the saying goes, excess of everything is bad. This is why if you are in moderation in gambling, you may not experience any of those body changes.
That's right, not only in terms of body changes, even emotional/mental and other aspect of your life will be affected.
So if you think you are not in your normal self anymore, better contemplate on what's going on with your life.
And see what is really causing you this kind of distress. It is never too late to change for the betterment of yourself.

I completely agree with the old adage: anything in excess is bad. what you are saying is completely good advice to reflect on all the damage that addiction can cause. but i am very surprised, i think cases of body changes caused by gambling are rare cases as far as i know. if increased anxiety, restlessness and even difficulty controlling emotions are common. but if the case that affects the body changes it makes me wonder.
6865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 03, 2022, 06:49:52 AM
But if it's just for fun, using fake money can give a gambling experience.

I don't think if you are addicted to gambling, you are gambling for fun. Most people that are addicted to gambling they believe they are going to make a huge amount of money from money one day, if you are gambling for fun you can gamble with your real money but you will gamble with just little amount and also you will always know when to stop. The post is about people that are addicted to gambling and they want to stop gambling, they believe fake money will really be of help which I don't think so.

i also don't think using fake money will help these people with addiction habits. they are not here for fun but for the idea that they will hit big one day. this is why they are getting addicted to this game. if they do want to stop gambling, using fake money for me is not a solution. they should totally get out of this gambling system. haven't read any previous gambler who treated his gambling addiction by just using fake money.

at least fake money gambling games can lead someone not to gamble using fiat or crypto, although the level of desire for fun is different from real gambling but this can help a person to shift his focus and reduce the level of addiction. there is nothing wrong with diverting to counterfeit money gambling if you intend to escape the snare of addiction. I think your opinion is also right, there is nothing wrong with every member community who expresses their opinion.

Therapy doesn’t guarantee that it can free you from your addiction, it will still depend on you if you really want to and if you really have the desire to quit gambling.

All gambling recovery methods don't guarantee anything but they are a big help to the gambler that wants to get out of addiction.

Obviously, it needs the cooperation of the person itself but how can they cooperate if they are struggling? That's the role of that therapy as it will somehow ease the addiction of that said gambling. It's a great start compared to doing nothing.

Let's appreciate those institutions, organizations, and volunteers that are willing to help someone who falls out of gambling.

of course there are no guarantees, even addiction can relapse for gamblers who have had therapy sessions, and this applies to any addict.
I think we agree that therapy is a last resort for someone who has become addicted to gambling and wants to quit.

there are many methods that they do to help release a person from addiction including giving certain types of drugs that can help recovery. I agree what you say I really appreciate it.
we should appreciate those involved and fighting to free the many people who have become addicted to gambling.

Barcelona will be so strong this season when they will add Lewandowski to their team. They are currently very strong and complete, but they still want to add a player that will add spices to their game, and make them win most of their game through his individual performance, and it is only Lewandowski who can do that with his goal scoring ability. He has been been phenomenal for Bayern Munich's success so far, being their highest goal scorer every season. He is a consistent player and a consistent goal scorer who knows how to play the game and score goals. Lets wait to see what the season will look like for Barcelona.
Barcelona coach don't want what happened in last season to happen in this season because since Messi left the team, it hard for the team to achieve title from any competition. Anything it takes for the managements to have many talented players in this season, the managements are well ready to have them in their team so that they will have full confident of winning the title this season and next season. I believe, those new potential players Barcelona managements are planning to sign in will really make the team great again because they know how to achieve victory from any tournament.

I will not say that last season was too bad for Barcelona. Although the start of the season was not good, Barcelona started to stabilize after Xavi took charge of Barcelona. At the end of the season they were able to occupy second place in the table. Xavi is taking all necessary steps to strengthen the Barcelona team next season. As a last resort, they are trying to get Lewandowski to the team. If Lewandowski can be picked by Barcelona, they will fight for both the Champions League and La Liga titles.

After Xavi replaced Koeman Barcelona started to have a rhythm, although I think Barcelona should have replaced Koeman sooner. Xavi's future at Barcelona is very wide open, especially if he can win titles in various competitions. we agree that messi's move from barcelona the game is not that interesting and it's difficult for barcelona to get a title in any competition.  I hope Lewandowski joins Barcelona with a very big chance to fight for the Champions League and La Liga.
6868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: July 02, 2022, 03:10:03 PM

The luck and randomness factors which we are taking into consideration when playing slot games have a much higher incentive than when we bet on sport betting. When we bet on some sport betting events chances that we hit x10000 to x30000 of our bet are almost 0 in terms of percentage to achieve that, while in the slot machine we are playing in our gambling session to get that highest winning payline and chances here are somewhat better than in sport betting to get that top payline.

So any slot player already knows that they are depending on pure luck when playing slots but they do so because they hope that luck will favor them at least one time with that highest winning payline.

yes, it's true that slot machine gambling has an advantage in terms of very high incentives, maybe because of this, slot machines are becoming more trending at this time compared to other gambling. especially slot machines offer a lot of games with a very wide variety of choices if one is lucky one can get maxwin according to the stakes. However, I prefer soccer gambling, even though the incentives are not as big as slot machines, but I can start by analyzing each team one by one to minimize losses. yes all bets I think have their own uniqueness and after all the luck factor is very decisive in gambling
6869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Session That Lingers On Or Keep Staying On your Mind on: July 02, 2022, 01:09:17 PM
There is limit to everything and no gambler should ever play more than they can afford to lose but think of it as gmabler, if you are playing to win and thinking that all possibilities are going to be in your favour, isn't should be expectancy of a gambler to also be making preparation for loss, its either you win or loss but we are always centred on winings and that's why some players always put more than they can afford to loose and then at the end of the the day put themselves in a tight spot that may make them feel uncomfortable.
But we know that many gamblers already continue to play and even use more money. They hope that using more money will allow them to win more money. But the reality is not so because gambling is all about luck; we don't know when it will come. We don't need to force ourselves to keep gambling, especially if we know that gambling can make us lose a lot of money. Simply playing as much as we can and using the money we can afford is good advice for us to do.

That is a good advice and I think it should be the first and foremost to play with only money we can afford to lose. Also you gain experience during your gambling sessions,in sport betting you gain better judgement for the teams that you bet because you have seen their behavior thus raising your chance to win. When playing slot machines and if you do so often you are able to "spot" if the slot machine is willing to give you big wins, from my personal experience in slot machines I have seen that when a slot keeps giving you often winning combinations and letting you play without reducing your initial amount even after a lot of spins it means that when you will get the bonus round you will have high chances to win, that happens not always of course and in fact rarely.

Your suggestion is correct, I totally agree, but this is the real problem where a gambler finds it difficult to stop or play with the money he can afford, sometimes players (we) force a loan to repay the money that has been lost.  this is ironic. I think that in sports betting, especially for football, it is fairer than slots, we are given many betting options and can analyze the teams that will compete. and for slot machines, the problem is that we can't predict, we can only try to analyze the spin of the machine according to experience.  so any kind of bet should be just for fun
6870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: July 02, 2022, 10:55:47 AM
I have heard a similar thought that those players who started gambling with a loss of money were more fortunate than those who started with winnings. Those who lost formed the right idea about it - a dangerous risky entertainment, and those who won on the contrary - a source of easy money. In the long run, it is better to have an objective view of gambling than to win first and then be an addict.
Someone can win, lose and lose and stop to gamble. Some people can lose, win and win but followed by losses and continuous gambling. It can be other ways, any way can result to gambling addict. What I have thought of addiction generally is that it is in someone's nature, some people have that nature to become addicted to something. I believe that some people that are exposed to gambling get addicted by their nature, it is not about someone to win first that caused it.

addiction in general is a person's nature, maybe what you say is true and I agree but this is debatable according to some experts agree addiction is a disorder of the brain and not a personality problem or a person's nature.  There are also other reasons that habits can have an impact on addiction, especially in this case gambling, apart from genetic factors and the opinions you convey we agree. So returning to the topic of the thread above my conclusion that for the type of gambler, is accumulation in general and not binding for sure.
6871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Cup 2023 Prediction and Discussion on: July 02, 2022, 08:13:29 AM
The duration of the 2023 Asian Cup is still quite long, namely 2023 and it is not the right time to discuss it at the present time. Maybe the op can lock this thread and re-open this topic when it's early 2023. My prediction is that several countries that will be able to reach the semifinals will probably be Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. These four countries have great players who in my opinion will be able to bring their countries to beat their opponents in the Asian Cup later.
Yes, there is 1 year left, but I know that it can be followed up on, I would particularly like to see this championship, seeing these styles of play in football attracts me, fortunately in the world we will see Australia that must have good football, although the truth when he played with Peru did not seem so relevant to me (I did not see it live and direct) but I did see it because I want to see the skills of the oceanic players, I think they should prepare even more because the level that the World Cup has is very high The European teams have a high level and Brazil and Argentina too, this World Cup will be very interesting, I want to see the Qatar team do a good job.

although it's still 1 year we have to wait for this Asian cup to be held at least we can poll and exchange ideas about football problems in Asia. Speaking for the Australian team, I think Australia will be very calculated by other Asian country teams, I don't really follow the development of the Australian team inside or outside but I really like two Australian legend players like Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka was a great striker in his era. and let's stay tuned for world cup and asia cup.
6872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 02, 2022, 06:27:53 AM
I know we are greatly influenced by the environment we are born into and sometimes become gamblers because of where we find ourselves, i also considered the possibility of gambling being hereditary and found out that it is also possible, that is gambling can be hereditary ,

I totally agree.
In some Asian countries, cultural influences are very closely related to gambling activities (local) this becomes very relevant to the living environment, affects the local area and becomes a hereditary culture including gambling.

Quote
Gambling is linked to a gene that is passed on through generations and a new study claims that it is passed on to both sons and daughters alike.

GEN is information that is owned by every living thing and can be passed on to their offspring.

now come to think of it since it is difficult to escape our genetic makeup,
- Would you blame an individual who becomes addicted to gambling because it is wired to his DNA?

-Can their gambling problem be put in check by regular methods?

I don't think it's relevant in this century if someone blames his addiction to something especially gambling because he has the genes and DNA from his ancestors who actually had a gambling tendency.
a person who is responsible and can think intelligently chooses policy choices for the activities he will do.

depends on the individual himself and the main factor is the intention to change.

-Will the addiction be worse than someone who picked up the habit?

Everyone is very potentially addicted for many other reasons not only in the case of gambling.
6873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: July 02, 2022, 05:27:46 AM
I think all businesses have their types of disadvantages. One tiny minor mistake can't make someone (or some company) fraud. Especially if you can clear it with legit / legal disputes. As many mentioned here, honest businesses (and casinos as well) have customer friendly manners. It means, they mainly try to compensate people with bad experiences. Anyways, bad PR is something everyone dislikes. Reputation is important.

I do not know whether or not thats quite correct.. I have worked with businesses that went completely downhill just because of one small, lazy mistake which led to a shitstorm of problems and bad PR. And don't let people tell you there is no such thing as bad PR. There definitely is. Especially for smaller start ups.

Reputation is the most important thing for a business. Honest or not, if something starts and people get involved, regardless of who is right or wrong or if something is true or not, once a reputation has been ruined, its almost impossible to recover from that.

legal disputes will only help you recover from some damages.
Yes, small mistakes matter, because they are just an initial sign of the managers' negligence, that if not addressed, will only get worse and more serious within time, affecting the company negatively until it completely loses its credibility, and have to close for not being profitable anymore or for being in heavy debt due to those mistakes. Reputable, long lasting companies are the ones which care for their customers, doesn't matter how tiny their complainment or request are., because they know this way customers will trust them and fidelize with business much more efficiently.
This is true, a small inconvenience here and there may not seem like a big deal to some, however it is important because it sends the message that there could be some other aspects in which the casino is not completely polished, and if they are not willing to correct the ones that are pointed out by their customers then it is obvious they will not fix those the community has not found yet.

Also by fixing those small things they show their clients they listen and care for them, and that is a way to keep their clients happy without the need to give bonuses or use a marketing campaign, so it is a very cost-effective way to keep their customers if we think about it.

I agree, I have also experienced several similar cases, small problems are often ignored by casinos, especially online, I don't know if the online gambling operator section handles it themselves and is not conveyed to their superiors, I don't understand the mechanism for how they respond to complaints but this  become a common problem for the players.
it's true what you said.
this becomes homework for them, if service is more a priority for the comfort of the players, I think the casino will have a good reputation and this can be a recommendation among players
6874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: July 01, 2022, 04:39:52 PM
According to reports by Bleacher Reports, the Adidas 2022 World Cup ball will now feature a device for tracking of offside. This ball will give VAR precise data to support offside calls

What are your views about this innovation

Well, why am I not surprised? AI is taking over most jobs. However, since this is going to be the first time this semi-automated offside technology will be used in a FIFA World Cup, I expect to see one or two errors in judgement because there's is going to be new and unique scenarios that may prove quite difficult for the machine to interpret. Well, I'd wait to watch how it plays out during the games in November. It will still the a humans with the technical-know-how to operate it.
I too find this innovation unnecessary, at least for determining offside. Maybe for determining out, arm play or a questionable moment when hitting the goal. But it's not quite clear to me how the AI will determine offside. That would require chips on each player for accurate positional detection.

let me explain briefly. It's true that the world cup will be equipped with semi-automatic offside innovations, visual tools that can help referees accurately, although Colina said that the final decision remains with the referee, I think this innovation is very helpful at least it can reduce the ridiculous drama that often happens in football. semi-automatic offside technology supported by 12 cameras that can detect 29 data points of the players as well as the world cup ball will be equipped with sensors that have high accuracy. so according to the source I read the data will be automatically sent automatically with a video visualization to the offside operational room. quite complicated but at least FIFA claims this technology will be faster and more accurate.
6875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Over Matter In Gambling Using Pendulum on: July 01, 2022, 02:41:41 PM
Do you believe that you can actually predict future events like horse racing and boxing match with the use of Pendulum.

Any scientific explanation about this thing?  If there is none, I think I won't believe it.  Using a pendulum is the same way as guessing IMHO.  Well in a match game, there is always a 50/50 chance that the pendulum prediction will come true but making choices complex will prove its ineffectiveness.

It's started with the use of a divining rod and it was used to locate precious stones and water in the olden days check this article to know more about this divining rod but it evolves to what is now called pendulum divination, it has something to do with your subconscious mind interacting with your conscious mind, some have success on it but others see it as no scientific basis if you gifted with a third eye or in predicting the future this is a good tool.

no one can explain scientifically about pendulums and such. However, things that don't make sense can happen. In some Asian countries, rituals such as using a pendulum are not taboo or strange, the main factor is cultural influence. I think gambling that uses a pendulum or similar rituals is a dupe for sure players must use reason, skill, dexterity and strategy, although that does not guarantee someone gets a win.
6876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: July 01, 2022, 01:14:58 PM
The man is entirely at fault and why? Using the money that mistakenly sent to your bank account is the same like stole money from others. The sender was also making a mistake but in front of the law the japanese guy can be arrested. As far as i know that guy already arrested by the police.

If he was sending back that money and he will not be sued by officials. Just wanna know how many years being sued to takaguchi. There's no new update about this news anymore.

What about the fault from those who processed the payments? Both the sides need to be punished IMO. Law can't be one sided. The guy probably didn't knew that he was spending money that didn't belonged to him. I am not sure how this legal battle will turn out in the court. If the payment was made mistakenly, then the individual should have been contacted immediately and informed about it. In this case, it was not done. Therefore I am not sure whether the bank can escape legal responsibility. This time they will try hard to win the trophy (same with Portugal as well, since this is the last world cup for Cristiano Ronaldo).

I think there will be further investigation to determine whether or not the bank processing the payment is guilty. mainly due to negligence of wrongful act of transfer and this became known two weeks after they contacted the subject. legally the bank will be accountable in court. we have to see from many aspects, I don't understand much about law, especially Japanese legal jurisdiction. I don't agree that the man didn't know that the money he withdrew was not his because the 46m was not a small amount. imagine that money to be distributed among 436 souls. this case would be more interesting if Op continued the new news for this case.
6877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and MLM Schemes on: July 01, 2022, 10:17:20 AM
I just heard that gambling is just like MLM schemes as people only loses both in gambling and MLM schemes ?
Is it true ?

you should be able to distinguish gambling casinos and multi-level marketing (MLM) these two things are clearly different from one another, land-based casino gambling (online) offers entertainment and fun, does not guarantee let alone offers wealth. win or lose you know very well that it is part of the risk. gambling is dexterity, skill, strategy and the like if you insist on continuing to bet then 99% will experience a loss and as you said this contradicts the loss equation between the two. Everyone knows multi-level marketing (MLM) is a ponzi scheme concept that has a long chain.  I think you understand.
6878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Problem, Is it Possible to be a Thing of the Past? on: July 01, 2022, 08:11:20 AM
Personal Input:
Having this kind of tool in every online casino is really helpful but the main challenge is the people involved.  Are they willing to participate in the program?  That is the main issue unless Casino will cooperate and force implement this procedure to their players which is highly unlikely.  Aside from that this is still in the experimental stage so it is too early to say that this kind of tool will solve the gambling problem that had been in the industry since the beginning.  I think it will help but it won't make the gambling problem a thing of the past. So what do you think about this article's claim?

if we compare on a scale of 100 gambling addicts maybe only a few people are willing to participate in a self-exclusion program. I can confirm maybe only 1-5 people are willing. this is just an example
I agree that this is part of the challenge. and we need to know that gambling addicts are well aware that they are in trouble but the effects of addiction are difficult to stop. I think this requires the participation of other parties including spouses, parents or families.  with the encouragement and help of a third party I think self-exclusion can be effective.  the idea of global self-exclusion is a very positive thing and I totally agree.

by the way some of my friends are gambling addicts they have lost everything and are still gambling.

Anyone has any airdrop to share right now?

The market is so bad right now, it would be great to get free airdrop and wait for it to pamp!

Have some airdrop programs ever given you big profits? no, I mean how do you spend time just to collect or search for coins from airdrops, if that's good for you, there are some recommended links to search for airdrop programs and this is one of them
https://coinmarketcap.com/airdrop/
by the way not all airdrops will profitable and especially for new projects, from my experience there isn't much to expect from airdrop profits, only coins, even mostly scams. so it would be better if you add knowledge references that can generate profits other than airdrops.
6880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: July 01, 2022, 04:25:15 AM
I may say, it is a game, bet (loss) phobia that is causing those pains in your body. Normally if you are winning all time, you would not have such pain or the health issue you mentioned. You were afraid that anytime you played gamble or you bet game with someone you would lose so with that that you Developed syndrome of headache which would have transmitted the headache pain to stomach pain and other parts of the body. And I also suggest that since you have finally detected the caused of the pains, it only you can heal yourself by leaving gambling. Though it might be very hard to leave if you are addicted to it but now your health is better than the games. Because prevention is better than cure. Although there might be other factors can contribute to stomach and other pains in the body. Such as stress, arguments hunger etc but the father of them all is the lose phobia. Once you treat the lose phobia the other ones will be taking care of.

I think a lot of people are completely and utterly ignoring the psychological illness inducing part of gambling when they talk about the physical health aspects of having any kind of gambling addiction.

Why would anyone think that the two aren't related to each other? The mind is a powerful thing and obviously a psychological issue can quickly develop into some sort of physical illness.

Phobias like you said, are a psychological illness that can be developed through gambling but thats just the beginning. It gets worse once your body starts falling apart from the phobia.

I think it's not ignoring but not realizing when someone has become a gambling addict of course it has become a psychological disease.

yes it is true both are related and of course it has an impact on physical health.

in this case a phobia is an excessive fear of something, in this case it is gambling. if someone has a phobia of course it refers to defeat. in most cases for gambling how many people have this kind of phobia ? we all know and are well aware that in every gambling losing is part of the risk and winning is a sure thing.
