6861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking: China May Legalize ICO Soon on: March 27, 2018, 04:52:57 AM
According to https://t.me/oneminute_crypto_news and https://twitter.com/EricBai_89, in a public interview by Chinese official web media, People's Web, a famous scholar Dong Yang released that Chinese SEC is conducting the legal research to legalize the ICO and the ICO will become a legit tool of crowdfunding soon.

Nah, I wouldn't be sure of that, they already made a hard stance on ICO's already and not in a hundred years that they will change their call. They are totally eliminating crypto's already and its just a matter of time before targeting the bitcoin mining farms. This is probably fake news again, mate.

Unless, we see some official announcement from PBoC or some Chinese authority, I wouldn't put too much emphasize on this kind of news. Yeah, it will be good to the market if this is true, however, I don't see it happening.
6862  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Try to recover loss on: March 27, 2018, 04:15:59 AM
Never, never, never, try to "recover losses".
In trading the past does not exist. only the present counts and the gain you can make now.
Thinking about past losses only creates further losses.

It can be possible to cover back your losses but may not be from same coins. Because sometimes if you think that you have invested in some shit coins then you need to book those losses and reallocate those funds on other good coins and wait for them to gain the profit. In this way, you can get back your losses but it may take more time to give you good results.

I agree, because I have done it myself. I take loses on one coin, and then shift my capital to others and see if I can at least recover some and it did work because I was lucky enough to get in while the shitcoins is not yet being pump.

Its an effective method, but you need to be very careful specially the coins that you want to move, because in any case you lose again, then its a double whammy and its very difficult to get up again, unless you shell out additional capital. So the risk is x2 but if you made the right decision, then you can recover some and can probably book profit as well.
6863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: March 26 -This is the Bottom I call it! on: March 27, 2018, 04:01:10 AM
I don't think if you can call this that bottom, however, the price is really a good buying point. So I advise those who have extra money to at least test the market and get some and see how it goes. If the price still bottom in the next coming days then continue to buy in portions.

As the OP has said, if he is correct with his call then we might see some rally coming April and at least stabilizes around $9K-$10K which for me is a good price, of course continue to hold as we might see bull run in the latter part of Q2 and entering Q3 which based on history is the time when bitcoin pick up the price towards another all-time-high.
6864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So what amount IS big enough to invest in one coin? on: March 26, 2018, 08:40:21 PM
I see people asking for investment advice and all you guys say is: 50/100/whatever amount $ is not enough to invest in a coin, go for a good meal or beer yada yada. So I would ask you wealthy people what amount IS enough to invest then? Smiley

If I had my way, I'm more willing to shell out at least $1K to any coins, regardless if is on the top 10 or even to shitcoins. Because the more you invest the more profit you can make. And if you became lucky you can turn it out to like x10 your initial capital.

I see people asking for investment advice and all you guys say is: 50/100/whatever amount $ is not enough to invest in a coin, go for a good meal or beer yada yada. So I would ask you wealthy people what amount IS enough to invest then? Smiley
The simple rule 'invest only amount you can afford to loose' I assume you've heard already. That's the reason this amount is different for everyone so probably no one will give you an extensive answer. If you want to earn more in a short period of time, you also need to invest more. If you ready to hodl, you can invest less to get the same profit. It's up to you to decide.

Exactly, just be ready  to loose your money any time in this game. As for me, I'm ok with losing my $1K as compare to losing it in gambling, wherein you literally have to chance to win many folds as compare to trading/investing. So make you own judgement call and see how it goes for you.
6865  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-26] Wall Street Analyst Lowers Price Targets Of AMD, Nvidia Shares on: March 26, 2018, 08:30:15 PM
Then I guess its time for AMD, Nvidia to manufacture GPU's designed to mine ETH/ETC to compete against Bitmain new release. Would be exciting for those miners that at least we have a lot of options and the cheaper one will capture the most out of the miners.

And there's not much price difference though, its minor that's why I was surprise to see Wall Street Analyst look as if this is something big for both companies as they can adjust to Bitmain entering the picturing. I'm sure that they are already mitigating the risk and I wouldn't be surprise if they are going to release cards specific for ETH/ETC mining.
6866  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price be stable or increase 2018 midle to last? on: March 26, 2018, 08:10:35 PM
So, this is continuously difficult to conjecture bitcoin, but base on what we witness about 8 months ago 2017. I discern bitcoin may have an brilliant destiny this year 2018. moreover, on account that bitcoin ought to aid it value in this most tough time which witness the Christmas and new yr joyful celebration in which individuals provide they bitcoin in other to settle cash related desires and recognize with own family, bitcoin fee has not get as little as $11,000 this 9 months so what's to come back is extraordinary for bitcoin. That's why I think, Bitcoin might also ascend to $26000 by means of the center of this modern yr. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Yes, I agree that this year is very difficult for us as we continue to struggle day by day. Last year was different, we has so many positive news, like Japan, Australia coming into the picture and Bitcoin's fork and institutional investment joining the bandwagon.

But this year, so much negativity and attacks and FUD, we are still waiting for that one welcoming news that will trigger a bull run and see bitcoin going to 5 digits again. So right now all we can do is hope that one day we will see it happening. Yeah, I'm still hoping that the start of Q2 will be something big for us. So let's see how it goes.
6867  Economy / Speculation / Re: And now? on: March 26, 2018, 05:30:21 PM
got up? it's hard to get up if there's still a lot of negative news about bitcoin! the news will make the weak holders become more panicked. if until the coming months are still like this, it will be quite difficult to increase the price to the next level. the possibility of such a situation will often occur, if not be completed in the near future.

I think we just went into another dip, and now below $8K again, Just checked like 6 hours ago and we are still above $8K but it looks like there is another panic that put pressure on the price again.

I think it will be really difficult to see the price go up in the next few days as there are still negative sentiments. Maybe the Binance news has something to do with the today's dip or something else.
6868  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKex and many more faking trading volumes / wash trading on: March 26, 2018, 07:47:25 AM
Well I have been suspecting OKex 'faking" trading volumes when I opened up a account on them about 3 months ago. And this thread was somewhat validated my concerns. Nice OP.

But ever since I suspected something fishy going on, I immediately moved out. This Chinese exchanges really doesn't learn anything from last year's PBoC investigations on them and it seems they are still practicing it.

@magneto, have suggested, might be better to look at the Western counterpart if see if its only prevalent on our Asian friends only or such practice is being done in the West as well.

6870  Economy / Economics / Re: Those who have invested in bitcoin when it was 18k-20k$ on: March 26, 2018, 07:15:45 AM
I believe that may have been a miscalculated investment, maybe the thought or idea of bitcoins
reaching that high might have made that person think that it will rise further. It was obviously
very risky and from it a lot of us learned. We should never underestimate bitcoin's volatility and
avoid overestimating price hikes. The way I see it, that person wanted to ride with bitcoin's
accelerating ride, but caught it at a wrong time. It would be best to hold those investments for
the time being and wait. There is much speculation that bitcoin will overlap last years numbers
at the end of this year, there's a better chance to to profit then.

That is what you really called FOMO, I guess your friend is one of those irrational buyers back then that thinks it can still go up to around $30K-$50K. On the contrary, I was lucky enough to offload most of my stash during the peak and take home the profits and re-invest if possible.

I guess your friend can't do anything at this point but to hold and hope that we can still make a significant run at the end of the year. So at least to have break even on his investment.

This year is really different, it seems we can't go off the ground to go to the moon again because of a lot of FUD's and banning from countries in the world.
6871  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will go down! on: March 26, 2018, 06:58:45 AM
Don't be scared guys and control your emotions 'cause indeed it always happened and after this scenario the price will continue to grow for sure, and perhaps it will never go below 7k just keep holding.  it's just a fud's which trying to manipulate the price to buy in a cheap price.

The problem is that too many people are easily swayed and for those newbies who are reading this thread, the title is somewhat misleading as I believed that the Mt. Gox trustee can't moved the coins without any court order so I don't know if this is a deliberate misinformation or someone is really manipulating the price from behind so that they can purchase cheap bitcoin.

And you will noticed that so called experts are seeing a price of $7K, which I don't think is possible as we have strong support at $8K levels.
6872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the history repeat again? on: March 26, 2018, 06:39:51 AM
So we have seen many speculations and predictions that bitcoin will go for one more bullish Eire from the end of March so we are at the end of March now , is it gonna happen like last year or speculations will fail?

If I remember correctly the bullish run from the end of March last year was brought about by the positive news that Japan will embrace bitcoin. That's news alone push the price of bitcoin to new heights from end of March up to April, when Japan official enter the picture. And the rest is history.

Currently, there's no positive news that is coming on the ecosystem, so I doubt that we will see a run this week, although some news may come but I don't know if that is enough to get the price to at least $9K before closing this month.
6873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will go down! on: March 25, 2018, 01:25:30 PM
7000 BTC was moved to Bittrex.
There are rumors that MtGox is involved in this. There are some implying association to Mt.Gox, Bittrex wallet and even Winklevoss.  But in any case, trying to sell them quickly can reduce the price of bitcoin.

https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/16rCmCmbuWDhPjWTrpQGaU3EPdZF7MTdUk

As soon as the price grows, it is lowered down again.
Do you still think that this is a coincidence?

As I know Mt.gox funds has been frozed up and they cannot sell their coins untill september or whatever(just read it but not sure with this) but if that claim is true then it can hurt the bitcoins stability and mayne we may suffer from huge fall. I just wonder why this Mt.Gox issue keeps stopping the surge and hope they will done for it and let the bitcoins price go fly.

Exactly, before the trusty can moved out the coins he needed some court order to do that and that is on September. So I don't know how he was able to do such move.

I don't know, but I remember one member created a simple apps to track the movement. Here is it:

http://coindata.info/mtgox.php

I don't see any movement there as the balance is still 162105.84 (at least the remaining balance as far as I know).
6874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will lightening network become reality? on: March 25, 2018, 12:46:15 PM
The way I see it without the lightening network BTC will struggle.
If lightening comes into play and works BTC would make a great investment if you buy it in this bear cycle.
In my opinion we might see a low of 6500 approx over the next few months because of Mt Gox.
Looking for long term strategy to jump in...What do you guys think.
Or, should I look at another coin?

As far as I know there is no implementation release date yet but it has its beta release on March 15. The devs are really trying to stress test the system so that we can say that it will be very stable when it will finally be rolled out.

Yea, totally agree with you that it will really push bitcoin and maybe see another massive bull run. But I disagree with your thoughts of seeing bitcoin going to $6500. There are strong support at $8500 already so I don't think it will go further than $7K-$7500.

Well Bitcoin is good for long term so why invest right now when the price is still very cheap and see it grow exponentially in the next couple of years?
6875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Korean whales will pump TRX to $1 next week on: March 25, 2018, 12:10:53 PM
TRON (TRX) - $0.047456 USD (0.79%) as per coinmarketcap.

Is the pump started to unfold now?  Smiley

I don't know if this news is true, but I will be very cautious and not to be trap. I'm not saying that the OP is lying, but its possible for Tron to get to 1 USD because the price is almost half of it.

However, if they just pumped it 1 USD you will get a small profit because its only close to X2 of the current price. And yeah I agree with @BitcoinHodler pump groups supposed to be closed and secretive, how the hell you are spilling the beans? Or are you just trolling us?
6876  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-24] Bitcoin Price Notches 6% Increase as Crypto Market Jumps $20bln on: March 25, 2018, 11:13:36 AM
And now the market seems to go RED, lol talking about volatility. I don't know what many billions are slashed right now but it looks like another weekend cashing out though.

Let's see in Monday if we can gain and at least try to test $9K again so that as least we will be on a good ending note for the month of March. But don't look for a big rally though, the market is really so volatile and investors still reluctant to throw cash in the ecosystem.
6877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin rise on: March 25, 2018, 10:38:21 AM
Everyday I see lots altcoins on Binance increase 10-40%, then I look at BTC dominance and it stays relativly the same around 44.3%. Are smaller altcoins just draining Ethereum, XRP, ADA, NEO and other big coins of their marketcap?

I don't think they are draining, its that its easier for us, casual traders to put just a small amount of capital to some shitcoins and wait for pump-and-dump and then get the profit.

As far as big altcoins, they are somewhat affected by the price movement of bitcoin, that's why they are also suffering as well. So investors is still reluctant to invest on them but would rather go for small risk high rewards shit coins. But I'm sure that when the top altcoins started to be pump again, investors will suddenly shift their funds or the profit they got from shit coins. I'm sure of that.
6878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford Vs Horn on: March 25, 2018, 10:13:10 AM
This is really a big risk indeed just to prove that he is worthy of his belt. Althought Jeff Horn as a lot of Knock Out wins I wouldn't consider Terrence Crawford as of his potential victims as all of Horn's previous opponents are not as good as the undefeated Crawford. Some of the big heads in boxing get what they want just because of matching up with the wrong fighter, hopefully Horn will learn a thing or two here.

For me this is already win-win situation for Horn:

1. If he wins, he will have that needed recognition that he was hoping for because every boxing fans think that he really lose the fight against pacquiao
2. if he loses, even though he will not be the household name in boxing, at least this is a stepping stone for him to fight in the US soil and it only means more $$$.

6880  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin preparing for a bull run?? on: March 21, 2018, 02:51:31 AM
Where does bitcoin go from here ? Will it recover? Are we out of the bear market and into the bull market ?

I think so. This last 3 days was a good sign that we are at least heading to test the $10K price at the end of the week so I guess we can call it a bull run already.

The question is that are we not in another bull trap? We have seen similar incidence from the past that we thought that we are out of the woods but suddenly dumping occurs and the eventual domino effect of panic selling.

Let's see how it pans out and do hope that this is just a start of the bull run that we all have been waiting for.
