According to https://t.me/oneminute_crypto_news which translated the source from Sina, a Chinese media website, that in a conference held by Chinese official web media, People's Web, a famous scholar Dong Yang released that Chinese SEC is conducting the legal research to legalize the ICO and the ICO will become a legit tool of crowdfunding soon.

I agreed that Dong Yang is not a high-level official and he is a professor at Renmin University who is active in the crypto space. I think the focus of the news should be:

1. The Chinese SEC is revisiting the crowdfunding tool;
2. The so-call legit ICO may actually become a tool with heavy regulation in the cryptocurrency space.

So, please wait and see.

Yes, China is a stupid country.
They first banned ICO and crypto-currency markets, so if they could tax them in the future, they would be able to reopen the exchange.

Nah, I wouldn't be sure of that, they already made a hard stance on ICO's already and not in a hundred years that they will change their call. They are totally eliminating crypto's already and its just a matter of time before targeting the bitcoin mining farms. This is probably fake news again, mate.

Unless, we see some official announcement from PBoC or some Chinese authority, I wouldn't put too much emphasize on this kind of news. Yeah, it will be good to the market if this is true, however, I don't see it happening.

I agree this might be a fake news, until China have officially announce i may consider it a propaganda for the price of bitcoin to rise up.

Anyway If they come around and legalize ICO then I am certain that it will have a positive effect on the market.

You are only trying to get some views and members in your telegram and twitter accounts. I searched for this famous scholar "Dong Yang", but no luck there. Stop spreading rumors and fake news. Already there is a lot mess in crypto sphere due to fake news and rumors, stop spreading more.

Lolz.

China has made themselves look like clown. (No offence at all). But they are acting like one because first they accepted it, they let the bitcoin and altcoin run in their country, then in the mid year they stood up against the whole crypto community. They started banning all the exchanges in their country. By the year end 2017 they published that OTC trading or exchanges will be allowed with some limits. Then again at the year start their were FUD's that china is going to legalise few of the exchanger by having them on verified list by analysis their legal documents and blah blah. Now again we are ta the point where news is coming that they are going to legalise the bitcoin. What the heck is this.  Tongue

This is a fake news. We all know that in September last year, the Chinese government appointed a policy of prohibiting ICO. I read the link of news sources, but this is just a news on an unofficial website in China. Besides, those who speak these words are also a low-level official. I think the Chinese government will not let the control of the virtual currency be liberalized so quickly, especially the control of ICO.

I am happy that the come back is real. China will dominate the market and it's very possible that money from all over the country will invest on ICO. We must observe properly and don't hesitate to us from Telegram group they are very active.

At present, China has certain pricing power. If China can be legalized, it will bring about a recovery of the entire market. Although it is impossible to confirm what you said, I hope it is true.

I think this is just another article that will be labelled as fake news, China made some very strict regulations just last year regarding the investment in cryptocurrency they are not about to do a U-turn and allow ICO to be used.

The Chinese government is very happy to use financial tools, if it is under their control. They will over regulate the ICO process to give them oversight and control mechanisms and then things will go on as normal. We have seen this happening with Bitcoin exchanges in the past and they are now applying that to ICOs.

This is not just happening in China, because most governments are moving in the same direction with regulations. They acknowledge the advantages of the technology, but they want to be in control of it.

This is impossible, and China's national bank is planning to develop its own digital cryptocurrency!

It's impossible for them to get other competitors involved at this point!

Chinese are very smart to safeguard its financial interest. When something suits them they legalize it and when it doesn't they ban it.

The bounce back of BTC price may be higher than $20K if all these Chinese ICO will all be legal to them. Source isn't as reliable though but if it will happen, to the moon to all cryptocurrencies. China can influence the world and the  whole world will soon be thinking of revising the technology they use and will most likely use bockchain too.

So, please wait and see.

Interesting news. I start to think that the recent dump is a last attempt for keeping the market low before a significant rise.
Of course, is a wishful theory. The better advise is indeed: please wait and see.

I won't believe this unless chinese government will release an official statement about confirming that this news is legit. Dong yang is not even a government official so how can we trust that he is a trusted source of news on what really is happening there. But If this is true, it will be a huge comeback for ICOs because before china banned this cryptocurrency crowd funding, most of the ICOs are from their country and also have a lot of chinese ICO investors. But I want to see how china will implement a regulation to filter those fraudulent and scam ICOs and legit ones. And if they can successfully do it, maybe they will also consider regulating cryptocurrency exchange. Will wait for any update about this.

Interestingly don’t care about China anymore. They’ve done this and that, affected the price and spread uncertainty to the community. We have too much about they’re hypocrisy, it’s about time that we should ignore them being one most powerful bitcoin country before, now an irrelevant part of this so called crypto world. I’d rather be contented having no news about them and just be silent about it.

It is not reliable authentic news.  Chinese Government has not  officially announced.  Though  the  Governments of many nations all over the world are in favour of  digital advancement of their currencies.  They are supporting cash less transactions.
Governments may support cruypto but they will also like to have supervision over crypto.  They may not legalize them until these are under their close monitoring.
Spreading of this news may be with the intention to push up prices of crypto.
