6861  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin correction? on: March 11, 2018, 11:25:02 PM
Hey bitcointalk, i want to ask proffesional players in cryptocurrency world opinion about bitcoin correction, is it going at least to 4k$?

I can't imagine bitcoin $4K anytime soon, unless there are really bad news coming that will cause the price to this low. I agree that the Mt. Gox coins has something to do with the recent dump but it looks like we are bouncing back again because investors have realized now that there is no negatives news, although we have the Binance attack, it doesn't contributed to slide we see because they are quick in their actions.

Everything as settled down. And $4K will not be tested but another march to $12K and even higher at the end of the month.
6862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IN 10 years. on: March 11, 2018, 11:18:05 PM
How do you see BITCOIN 10 years from now. Undecided Undecided Undecided

Maybe we can see bitcoin goes into 6 figure mark. But eventually lost its luster as mode of payment because the price is too expensive and we will be having another scaling issue even though LN network is already implement. It will be just a store of wealth for most of us. Dev's need to find solution to the new scaling issue. However, its gonna be too late because no one will used it except to again, just SoV.
6863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another bitch moved by the Chinese Regulators. on: March 07, 2018, 05:00:35 AM
Quote
Chinese regulators are reportedly blocking social media accounts held by cryptocurrency exchanges that still offer services in the country.

According to a report by Caixin today, authorities have shut down some exchanges' channels on China's dominant social messaging app, WeChat.

In one example, the official account of OKEx on WeChat has been blocked, while links to all previous content are now merely showing a notification that reads: [...]

It looks like that Chinese regulators are starting the 2nd wave of  their bitcoin/crypto attacks. I guess this news some somewhat affected the price in the last 48 hours as the price plummeted from as high as $11.5-$10.8 as of now.

Do you think they are now on the offensive because suddenly bitcoin is on the rise and they want to put the price to dip again and stop the hype train on its track?

If there is a impact, its gonna be short lived. Yes, they are still a major forced in the crypto world but the fact that they keeps on coming against the market only means that they want to stay relevant because everyday they are being forgotten and buried in the next coming months.

Plus, I wouldn't be surprised as all with the news. They already made their decision last September to turn their backs against crypto and they are now just ironing it a few details. Expect bitcoin mining to be the next target from PBoC.
6864  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have an idea, now what? on: March 07, 2018, 04:48:03 AM
It sounds like you're going to need to recruit or collaborate with others from each aspect of the project. IT, writers and marketing are probably the main ones you will need for now. You may have a great idea, but you will not only need someone to help you market this product or service but also writers who can turn your ideas into words that is easy and comprehensive for people to understand, and possibly want to invest in your project. From experience, it is extremely tedious (but also crucial) to make sure that everything that is written on the whitepaper and website is accurate.

A lot of ICOs don't have an actual product or service yet, and that can be a lot harder to market. You need to start talking and getting into the community (if you haven't already). From there you can very roughly gather interest for your project. As time goes by you'll probably need to have a marketing team to tackle the social media side.

As for your question yes you can bring on a team to do it for you, but you'll need to have an understanding of how capable the team is and what skills they are going to bring to the table.

Of course you can bring your own team to create the project for you. Almost 80-90% of ICO's are like that. Someone has an idea he like to put up but he/she has no coding experience. So he bring or hire a team to work under him. So he is the main driver, he oversees everything and make the final judgement. You just need to draw the concept with them so that they understand what you really wanted to realized at the end.

6866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Time For Crypto Currency on: March 07, 2018, 03:50:29 AM
Are there any best time to trade cryptocurrency on any platform just like in Forex. If there is? What is the best time or day to trade.

Thanks in advance

There are no best time to trade because crypto market is 24 hours. When the other side sleeps, the other side woke up and started to do their trading activities.

Asia though cornered the most volumes per 24 hours so if you are in the other side, perhaps its better if you do your trades same time with them. But its gonna be difficult as you have to adjust to their timezone.
6867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: March - bullish month? on: March 07, 2018, 03:32:07 AM
What do you expect - will cryptomarket be bullish in March?

I guess that this bearish trend since mid January should be finally over and the new slow bullish trend will come. Similar to the situation in May 2017 when BTC price was 1500 USD and then the price went slowly up to 7000 USD in the beginning of November. We can see many new people coming to crypto every day. The volumes on major exchanges are quite good these days and with the Lightning Network coming this year I'm very positive about BTC development in 2018.

Well, honestly I don't see that sign of bullish movement will come. Still hopeless about the current market condition.
I lost almost 75% since December 2017. What a biggest mistake, and I will learn from that.

Well at the beginning of the month it seems that March is bullish and almost everyone thought that the rise above $11K is a positive sign that we may see another bull run in the horizon. However, the price dip below $11K again so its really hard to say that this month will be a good one or it will just be the same as the previous months wherein the bearish sentiment took over the market.

6869  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dow Jones -800. Crisis coming to Bitcoin ?? on: March 06, 2018, 06:03:18 PM
We've seen such situations on the stock market before. And even worse. As far as I know there is no proved corelation between such crisis and influence on Bitcoin, at least not direct one.
I'm not saying there couldn't be any influence but we don't have to expect some huge impact that will cause some huge dump in Bitcoin price.

Exactly, I don't see any correlation between the two. Its 2 different market. Although the price of bitcoin dip and now below $11K I don't think that it has something to do with the Dow Jones effect.

In fact, bitcoin price can be manipulated and I don't think that some big shot Wall Street guy can do that in Dow. Right now people are just cashing it out that's why bitcoin price suddenly dip. But rest assured that it will recover once again.
6870  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the end for bitcoins ? on: March 06, 2018, 05:50:42 PM
I think it should end. because btcs made me suffer loss a huge I don't want others to suffer too Sad

Oh well every suffer loses here. Its how you get up and recover it. However, it looks like you bought bitcoin during its height and it only make sense for you to say that bitcoin should end.

But you have to understand that the price is very volatile. This is one major factor that bitcoin is not for everyone. I guess if you can't take your losses is better for you to exit the market.

I myself have incurred loses. But I don't blame bitcoin. I blame my strategy and I have learn my lessons the hard way.
6871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: March 06, 2018, 11:50:11 AM
The Rockets are playing well but Mike D'Antoni's best teams always did well in the regular season. It's in the playoffs where they have struggled in the past.

The Golden State Warriors have a much better defense and a much better half-court game. The Rockets look real nice right now but let's see when things slow down in a seven-game series. Not only has D'Antoni fallen short many times in key playoff series, so has Chris Paul.

Well we have seen Rockets chokes out in the playoffs. Last year they lost to San Antonio and the veteran Manu blocks Harden to seal the victory for the Spurs.

But there is a big difference this season. They have Chris Paul now. Last year, Harden has the task of bringing the ball down and distributing it. So it lift a lot of burden from Harden's shoulder. So let see how it goes in the playoff. Gonna be critical but I think Houston will not choke this time.
6872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opportunity to sell for bitcoin on: March 06, 2018, 11:36:16 AM
I will not sell my valuables to trade with bitcoin, because it's too risky.
I will use my excess money for bitcoin trading, I choose altcoin as a means of trading, because it does not require large funds. besides the advantage of altcoin trading is greater than the bitcoin.

Yes, but there are people who did that kind of stuff lately:

http://www.news.com.au/finance/money/investing/dutch-bitcoin-family-sells-everything-and-moves-to-campsite-to-wait-for-the-cryptocurrency-boom/news-story/dc9934d548fcd12c1864b510ceab3641

It looks like he really gamble because after the December madness, bitcoin was never the same. And that was about 4 months ago so I'm sure that he regrets his decision for doing it.

Personally, I'm not that stupid. I will not sell everything just to invest in bitcoin. The risk is too high.
6873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at USD20,000 on: March 06, 2018, 11:02:14 AM
Bitcoin will surely get to 20.000$ at a certain time but i dont think it is going to happen by the end of the first quarter of 2018. The price is stable at 11.000$ right now and it doesnt show any sign of growing soon. It will probably grow slowly and get to 20.000$ at the end of the year because i dont think that could happen sooner .

Right. Better to see bitcoin touching $20K in Q2 of this year. If $20K will be hit at the end of the month, I'm afraid that its another bubble that will be burst anytime. So a steady growth is much acceptable at this time and its a better option in my opinion.

for this month, there are no signs showing that it will happen. but sooner or later, bitcoin prices will definitely reach $ 20,000, even if it still shows a stable price at $ 11k. all we have to do is hold back the bitcoin we have.

As you can see, from the past two months Bitcoin price is kept increasing in the market from 8000$ to 11,500 $. Still, there is one more downfall in this month which it can re-bounce to 12000$ by the end of this month. By the end of the year, the price of Bitcoin will surely reach to more than $20k.

Actually the bottom that we hit is $6K. So if we hit $12K at the end of the month then its already a 50% recovery which is not that bad after a big crash of almost 70%. So if the pattern will continue, we can really see bitcoin hitting about $20K at the end of the year.
6874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HITBTC in problems ??? on: March 06, 2018, 10:50:58 AM
Anyone having problems to do trading on their exchange ??.
Since several days it's not possible to trade, they claim that  is is due to the transition of STAR Huh
can you pls. indicate if trading is working with you ??
They won't respond to emails so that's already bad signal.

I still have my tokens and bitcoin in hitbtc and the last trading activity that I did is last week. Everything works perfect for me, But I guess a have to double check now to see if there are possible issues that I might get in the future.

Although I have heard so much negatives about Hitbtc so far I don't encounter any problems with them. But I will still observed and used my common sense here. I don't want to be trap and maybe I need to get out of my funds before anything happens to them. Thanks for letting us know.
6875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I BUY GOLD OR BITCOIN? on: March 06, 2018, 10:37:47 AM
It's up to you, but if you choose to buy gold.. you might end up selling it again or find yourself at the nearest pawnshop, or if you love collecting gold then it can juts put it in a much secure area of your house. ahaha
But when you choose bitcoin, then... there is a great possibility that you'll get much more than you have invested. It's just a matter of patient, hard-wok, and strategies.

Both of them are a good investment in my opinion. I'm still a gold person I invested on them since the dotcom bubble crash and it gives me goods returns. Not that gold bullion, but in jewelries. And yes sometimes If I needed money, I just go to the nearest pawnshop and then instant money.

But when bitcoin or crypto came into the picture. I put a decent amount as well and we all know how much we all earn specially last year with a 700% or more growth. So if you have the chance then invest on both of them.
6876  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin become a long-term trusted store of value? on: March 05, 2018, 09:19:27 PM
Bitcoin can not be considered as storage of value because its price os too volatile so chance of losing your investment is more if we invest on bitcoin. If that is only possible if the bitcoin has a stable value but I think it will never happen if more people starts using bitcoin its volatility will get increase.
Well bitcoin was not initially design to be a store of value. However, it change a lot since its inception and then in the last couple of years the market has changed. Investors pour a lot of cash into the market and then comes the whales. So now we as much as we want it to be a payment or currency, it now becomes as more of a investment platform.

And if we consider that returns, just last year alone, investing on it will turn you on a millionaire or even billionaire with a return of more than 700%.
6877  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 7 People arrested for Bitcoin Trading on: March 05, 2018, 06:32:52 AM
They were doing more than just trading, they were running an exchange.  Running an unlicensed exchange is risky business in any country.

But I find this sentence from the OP article to be most interesting:

"He further said that if found guilty the suspects will be punished under the prevalent laws of Rastra Bank."

Are finacial laws in Nepal set by the bankers?

The fraud, which lasted from 2015, resulted in 3,900 investors losing $ 38 million. Victims are tricked into investing in Bitcoin investments, which promise bigger profits.

Is this true? To be honest I'm not aware of that news. So maybe that's where the government of Nepal is coming back. Bitcoin started in the wrong foot in that country that's why they put the hammer ban.

But then its not bitcoin fault. People should really do a research before investing. They shouldn't listen to those scammers. I guess they are too greedy because for sure they been promised of a big return. And when someones emotions takes over like you greedy your decision will be clouded and the next thing you know, you are already putting a huge amount.
6878  Economy / Economics / Re: CryptoCurrency or CryptoAsset on: March 05, 2018, 06:22:37 AM
For now the most correct term will be crypto assets, most of the people using crypto as investment not as currency the reasons is because not a lot of places accepting Bitcoin yet, so it's not too convenient to be spent, in the future Bitcoin will become more stable and able to be used as currency

Exactly. I consider it assets as well. It has now become as store of wealth the the currency that we are expecting is not yet happening. On the contrary, a lot of companies are still not accepting bitcoin and most recently Steam stop accepting it as well. So the original vision of Satoshi has been buried and bitcoin now turns to be the playground of most the rich.

However, the fees is now lowered and transactions are very fast as well. And when LN be implement, I'm sure that we can now realized the dream of Satoshi because we can used bitcoin then as mode of payment.
6879  Economy / Speculation / Re: Weekend disaster? on: March 05, 2018, 06:02:35 AM
Looks like this weekend breaks the pattern.
All major coins in green now.

Nice to see that the pattern was broken. Specially bitcoin and ethereum is making a good run.

Have you noticed something mysterious in crypto price: weekend disaster.

The most price drops tend to happen on weekends.

During weekends, price almost certainly drops, sometimes even crash. Price rarely goes up on weekends. Especially on Sundays. You may look at the price chart of major coins, BTC BCH ETH LTC .. in the last 3 months, which all seem to confirm this.

Why?Any explanation?
I see this as not regular accuracy and some time bitcoin and others cryptocurrency do rise in price on both Saturday and Sunday. However, I can still connect the week price dropping to low volume and activities and not some technical issues. Bitcoin do reduce in volume because some traders may like to take some days off in other to have some rest from the market and this do cause some weak hand to sell off they coins at a cheaper price.

Yeah. After a week of working hard and trying to earn. Most of times people need to take a rest and unwind that why the volume is not that heavy during weekends and it can also be attributed to traders sell off and go back later when everything is back to normail.
6880  Economy / Exchanges / Re: COINS.PH are now Accepting ETherium! on: March 05, 2018, 05:48:18 AM
coin.ph will make filipinos great again.
Its coins.ph. (https://coins.ph/)

Yes, this is really a welcoming news for all Filipinos out there. I guess this is the next step for Filipinos to be the next country amongst Asia to bring bitcoin and crypto's to the next level. As I understand they have also a beta for trading platform and once rolled out, it will somewhat impact the price of bitcoin and crypto trading will be the next big thing in the country. Say goodbye to Forex trading. hahahaha
