6861  Other / Meta / Re: Should we put a merit/post ratio? Like torrent site on: January 15, 2019, 11:40:02 AM
Take a look at my last 20 posts. Do I seem like the average shitposting scum? Well maybe yes because I post in sections where no merit source visits. But does that make a difference to me? No. Because I care about what I post about and not as an attempt to gain merit.

If you look at my posts in Bitcoin Discussion and Trading Discussion, I always try to usher in a good emotion among people whom I feel are becoming sore after having to hodl through times of bear runs. Thats what we should all do as a part of this community in order to garner the support for bitcoin and crypto in general.

My posts in Project Discussion and Lending go out for calling of scammers who attempt to fake themselves - I feel I am just doing my part in protecting possible victims.

What I dont like is trying to make new topics everyday farming away merits trying to catch the eyes of every merit source and then refreshing the profile page every 2 minutes to check how many new merit one could get by their last "ass-licking" attempt.

No offence to OP though. This was not meant for them anyway. But those who do this know that.

Participate in the forum. Forget about merit. Stop being obsessed with merit and its application to everything. You guys are forgetting what this forum is about.
6862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this the right time to explain about bitcoin to others..? on: January 15, 2019, 10:21:47 AM
If you’re going to tell anybody to buy BTC then now is the time. We must be at or at lewst very close to the bottom. There is no better time to buy before the next bull run starts in probably a year.
If you say 3500 then its a good support level to buy in. However the bears are getting bolder and there may be another breakdown after this level back to 2k. So the wise decision would be to set buying orders at this level of the smaller amount and increasing amounts at lower support level so you can catch them when they are on the dump.

Also I dont think a bull run is coming soon. Its mainly bearish with gradual recovery periods in between. Like the 4000> 3500 dump followed by a greenish 3.58% gain today trying to recover. Someone is dumping and someone is buying. Grin
6863  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: January 15, 2019, 10:09:24 AM
I do not think that bitcoin is possible as it is to kill with the help of political methods.
LOL nothing can "kill" bitcoin whatsoever. Even politically influcened people may try to manipulate the market for their own gains but it would not kill the asset. This is not like an organisation which can be stopped forcibly - thats one of the advatage of bitcoin not being centralized and being censorship-resistant.

Oddly enough, but the interest to Bitcoin is growing daily.
Not as much as it did back in 2017 but yes slowly and steadily it is growing and this has an organic and natural growth on the price.

Perhaps in 2019, large corporations and countries will be interested in bitcoin and its technology.
Its already happening and more will follow in the coming years. Cheesy
6864  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you're ~15% in the red, is it crazy to sell? on: January 15, 2019, 10:05:36 AM
better sell at 15% red than holding till 100% red
That depends on a lot of things dont you think? Simply selling away bitcoin when it was 10$ would have ended in a bad decision if that person was alive to sell for 10k $ in 2017. People dont understand the stuff that drives the market or how things work here. Bitcoin does have a lot of support from those who believe in it and those who see the future in it. Of course you may panic and sell at a loss if you prefer to like that and not see the long term effect.

However good things come to those who have patience and patience is very important in any speculative market. Being biased and impulsive will only lead to your losses.
6865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did the use of online gambling increase with crypto moneys? on: January 15, 2019, 09:59:25 AM
Increased a lot, even I started to play gambling with much money since I am playing at the crypto gambling sites but before I just used to play very small amounts at fiat based gambling sites.
Its because of the advantages crypto gives over the traditional gambling money method. Even if you think about the land based casinos you would have to use fiat to pay for the chips there and law enforcement would definitely be keeping track of you. If you want to escape them and still try to double your coins you would obviously go after some method that does not allow tracking.

Without any doubt crypto has changed the way the online gambling industry run nowadays and in future this will generate the demand for coins and drive the market.
6866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: failure to gain profit on: January 14, 2019, 12:39:50 PM
Sad to say for quick drops of altcoin into the marketcap people are expecting to get quick profits but is failed that's is a part of crypto investment unpredictable when to get huge profits the key of the succes to get profits in crypto is patience and believe it strong as currency and stay keep faith.
True but if you are supporting a certain altcoin and have faith in it you can buy at the dip so you feel good by increasing your bag size. Since you have faith in it you should have done enough research to conclude whether it is a scam or not.

Then again you must sell at some point and then use the spare cash to buy back at the low price. Not doing these money cycling only leads to anxiety that makes you feel that you are not taking part and falling back. Indeed this needs practice but you need to start doing it to get the grip. Initially you might lose some cash with opposite side movements but hodl through those periods and the markets will move in your favor soon.
6867  Economy / Economics / Re: welcome bulls , Bye bears on: January 14, 2019, 12:34:46 PM
Having great patience is very difficult for some people, but if you can do that, maybe something big will await you later. Let's hold on longer for the next few years until your child feels the benefits.
Its not as simple as that for everyone. Many of the investors into crypto have not been the early adopters. They came into this sphere after getting hinted about huge returns a few years back by some "financial analyst".

Like I have said previously these people should not be trusted completely because their opinions are biased and you should do your own research and take your own risks. However these investors did not do so and entered blindly so they end up being bearish and calling crypto a scam panic selling their money away.

Long term blue chip crypto.
Somewhat comparable. Cheesy

ETF is not a project. Its a declaration leading to a new market to open.
6868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is less stable than some ALTs ! on: January 14, 2019, 12:30:53 PM
I always knew that Ethereum could regain its rightful second place. On account of Bitcoin and its stability in relation to Altonika I think he's better than holding the position or in relation to some coins of the percentage of price reduction are almost identical.
We are talking about the general "stability" of altcoins and not exactly one specific coin. Yes it does hurt to see a centralized shitcoin like ripple take over ethereum even though ethereum's basis is also flawed. What people lose when price drops is the dollar value or fiat based value of the asset and not any money directly. This shows the amount that you would be getting back if you decided to sell all at that price, but you are not selling right away at a loss obviously if you are wise enough.

This again does not mean that altcoins will not be manipulated. They need to be pumped so as to create some demand and supply dis-balance in order to let the whales take over. Grin
6869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: January 14, 2019, 12:27:19 PM
It all depends on the mindset that is owned by each person. when they think gambling is a fun thing of course they will think that gambling is a safe thing and has no addiction. so try to change your mindset. suppose the gambling game is an entertainment and that way we will feel comfortable and calm in doing every gambling game.
There is also the sense of competition that gambling gives to the player. They see themselves competing with their fellow gamblers and the casinos always make it a point to project them in front so that they feel the competition.

When this gets on their system they will not stop unless they "beat" the rest of the gamblers often leading to drastic changes in luck and huge losses. However they will not stop due to this and in the ecstasy end up depositing more money only to chase the winning bets. How much "fun" this actually provides is still debatable but its what is common.

6871  Economy / Economics / Re: Top 10 Reasons Why Bitcoin Is Falling Down on: January 13, 2019, 09:43:16 AM
I guess that came at the 19k price. A lot of expectations happened and a lot of investors also road that boat without even thinking. It is all just about the profit which didnt happen for them. Sadly, it turned out bad and they also didnt expect a fall which is so deep.
Then the rest is history and they filled the social media community with lies just because of their hatred against bitcoin.
It happens when some wannabe millionaire broke newbie gets the hyped news of crypto being the next gold and get a huge loan from the bank to start investing in it. They obviously thought that price is going to go even up or they would soon be able to break even. Turned out that they didnt even do the slightest research on crypto for example the 5year price charts which would immediately have revealed that the price had pumped and the asset is overbought. Sadly few people have the brains to do this and now they have to suffer. Roll Eyes

These people are panic selling at every small pump like the recent pump from 3600>>4090 (almost touching 4100 and then dump)>>3600 again.
6872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will SEC never approve Bitcoin ETF? on: January 13, 2019, 09:37:27 AM
I think all it will take is time before they finally approve it.
That time will be pretty long. The US government has not yet found a method to combat crypto and its adoption so they are trying their best to keep it within manageable limits. After all there are certain problems wit the humans about morals and ethics which come in question when anonymous currencies that are difficult to track become the center of attraction.

People will be there who will try to manipulate the markets and without regulation there will be problems of the whales pumping and dumping. ETF will be a long way as long as that is prevalent. Grin
6873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A banking app helped me beat my addiction on: January 13, 2019, 09:33:46 AM
I have known some people that until now struggling in this same situation, but no one can help them because they don’t want others enter their personal problem
If you are someone close to them or someone who has won their trust then they are going to allow you to enter your personal space. This is tough but if you care about that person and their family then you should try to help them. Some people can be aggresive and hard to convince, after all every human being is unique but support from close friends can often make a difference.

Doing this method might helps other to do so and become successful in to quitting addiction and maybe i can share this to them
However I fell that depending on an app is less productive than physical face to face talk. Wink
6874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME NOW on: January 13, 2019, 09:31:13 AM
Hold and have a lot of patience in this moment in time. We can still have a good future ahead. So still believe that our cryptos will become one of the best when the market starts to recover.
Do hope that you manage to sell some to cash out in case the bull run starts because thats how you can minimise the panic associated with it. There is nothing to get emotional when selling because everyone gets money and uses it to make more money and thats precisely people speculate over the prices of cryptocurrencies. Currently hodling should be a necessity and not a goal because the market needs support.

Even if you are not buying at the lower price dont sell at a loss because that would be a waste of all the years of hodling.
6875  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money with bitcoin price dropping? on: January 12, 2019, 10:00:02 AM
we could using tic tac strategy.use one of our coins and trade it in limited range.but this strategy only work on stable market while price moves up and down in limited range.
Generally when the price of any asset is moving between a support and a resistance level it is an indication of a breakout ready to happen.

Soon the support level will lose the ammunition to support any more or the resistance level will run out of its shields. Its important to analyse the older market charts to know how strong these support and resistance levels are so you can predict when exactly the breakout is going to happen. After that you may be able to take advantage of the situation once the price start moving in the correct way that you predicted. It may not do so as well in which case you just have to keep waiting.
6876  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for the Inexperienced Traders on: January 12, 2019, 09:54:04 AM
Experience is something that sum of all mistakes and this applies to trading.
Experience includes the good things as well. But as humans we tend to implicate the mistakes/bad things into experience more into it though its a collection of both. Cheesy

Quote
Trading is tough than investing for inexperienced traders.
I dont understand why you are comparing experienced and inexperienced trades for how tough trading is than investing. All traders are putting their money into a new asset just for the sake of money making. Thats also investing. In my opinion in the crypto space the difference between the two is the time period of holding. Generally investors would dump at the first high while traders would sell at small bursts on every high and then buy back again at dips.

6877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can ETF Decision make a negative impact? on: January 12, 2019, 09:49:12 AM
I think that this will have a positive impact on the bit, but without ETF Bitcoin will be able to work in normal mode and trade on the exchanges, but if the SEC approves the ETF then it will come a lot of money and it will give rise to strong growth.
Whether there is an ETF or not the functioning of bitcoin will not be altered. Its something that will increase the adoption of bitcoin for trading by institutional investors but not necessarily increase the price. Price rise is just secondary to this. Dont expect the SEC to approve it so easily. The public name of bitcoin has been related to ponzis, scams, drug dealing and so on. Not that fiat is away from that but still people will deny the inevitable because they dont care about it.

What we can do is speculate or let it be. Dont be bothered to much about ETFs.
6878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: January 12, 2019, 09:46:00 AM
The fact is not like that and even that is difficult to make some gamblers not hunger to their money back, they gamble because there is something that the profit he sees is not just fun. This is what makes everyone an addict, they will always hope to win when betting. And I guess people who gamble are just for fun, so they are categorized as gambling addicts, even though they do gambling once a week.
The fun is what the casino owners want. They want the rollers to feel like its their home. Its a part of their marketing strategy to keep the people happy and make sure they stick around and not go away. They are there to give room to your addiction and willingness to take risk. People call it fun because its entertaining them but they have to do it for a price obviously.

The addicted gamblers do have to stop once they run out of funds and this often leads to anger outbursts either due to frustration or due to being high on drugs at the same time. Grin

My business : I'm pro gambler, I 'm the specialist of the roulette, I will bet  1 btc on the zero and make   36 BTC and give you 10 BTC, im a professional ,I already done that many time
If you have already done that "many" times why not just do it once again? Grin You surely have some cash to spare and if you dont why bother asking for a loan on a forum like bitcointalk?

You can just walk up to your bank and tell them that you need some cash because you have some Fullproof (& Foolproof) method of making money for a casino without making the casino go bankrupt.
