I agree that the duration of the campaign is very important if the project is good and investors can see that it has potential then a short duration is enough to get funded. the composition of the team is very important too, they should be real people and real experts in their field, not photoshopped or fake account coming from LinkedIn, Linkedin is very notorious so many fake people with fake credentials. The project should have a unique concept not a copy of the existing or past projects, and it should have a potential in the market, so many projects cannot keep up because they failed to generate support, because the market that they want to target is not sustainable. |

Since I joined crypto world 2016, my dream is to own an exchange where people worldwide will trade cryptos.
I have made several research on how to own an exchange, but the stress, programming, management, time and finance involved in getting and running a good exchange is damn too high.
Am just a HTML programmer and no idea on blockchain programming.
Finance is number one issue, many good exchange script seller out there cost nothing less than $30k + setup fee including API key functionality.
I have contacted some friends to invest but non interested as they all have no clue about cryptocurrency.
Am saving some cash but it might take 2-3 years to have the fund raised.
Now, if eventually am able to get the fund to start an exchange in the next 2-3 years, will it be profitable or i should forget it?
Some will say why i want to own an exchange? Anyway, i see it as a cool business, listening and trading fee are the attractiveness i see in it.
The first thing that you need to do is to study the competition, there are people here who are more knowledgeable than you and those who already have a working team, and those just got funded from ICO, that cannot deal with competition. Just check out Lbx, Becent Bitmillex, Weidex TronX these exchanged based ICO have funds to set up a good exchange but the competition is making them hard to progress, you are up against multi-million dollar companies. I do not discourage you to set up one or give up your dream, but you need to study the competition first, assemble a good team that is capable of making your dream a reality and find something or unique concept that can attract traders and investors, there's a huge money to be made in the exchange business, but the first step to get in is very hard. |

Honestly, it's hard to answer that kind of question, there is no specific answer, it still depends on the coin you've invested and how the market reacts to each coin, and how long are you going to hodl those coins, you can make 20% at a given day and 15% the next day even if you want to go for long term the volatility of the market will not guarantee you that your investment will double. |

I agree so much is at stake in your portfolio, you have a chance for a better life if you pick the right coins in your portfolio, but it's not about picking a coin only, it's also about following the progress of the coin you have collected and added, you must know when to sell them and when to buy additional coins, it all about buying low and selling it the highest profit. |
