6881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Retail Giant Target Is Quietly Working on a Blockchain for Supply Chains on: June 12, 2019, 11:48:45 PM
Tons of companies are developing blockchain solutions for internal needs, now the question is do they use an off the shelf solution like Ethereum and do a token based on it or an completely independent blockchain.
I think ethereum could be more useful to them then using the blockchain because this is what vitalik made it to do essentially focusing towards the business sector.
But with target using it for their businesses infrastructure could make it more efficient with increasing their current productivity in the long run. As larger companies such as costco and walmart have a wider customer base then they do so they need to work in other ways to regain more of the market in these sectors.
6882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Accepting Churches on: June 12, 2019, 11:42:27 PM
Well this would only make sense because the church can not argue with receiving donations for their cause because this how they funds their entire congregation and nothing else but from the kindness of their followers and church goers.
The muslim religion has accepted using bitcoin by making it halal so why wouldnt the other religions as well? Embarrassed
6883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be junk/trash after ban in 2 big countries on: June 12, 2019, 11:36:11 PM
Didnt know this well known bollywood star there started a bitcoin company. Embarrassed
Have to check and see what it is was all about before the ban happened and what will happen to his companies customers will have to do now. Undecided

10-year jail for buying, selling cryptocurrency in India: Report Selling, buying and/or mining cryptocurrencies will be considered a non-bailable offence, according to the new bill.

No friend. I meant what the bitcoin company was which Amitabh Bachchan created not about the ban itself. Embarrassed
Something about him owning a part of Ziddu.com which is a blockchain research company. Smiley
While checking about the company found that cashcoin was part of another bollywood by the name of Shahbaz Khan over his involvement in a cryptocurrency scam.

6884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fake money? Think again! on: June 12, 2019, 11:17:21 PM
people think bitcoin has no value because it's not real~~~~~~

They have forgotten that, the world has gone cashless and here's another method of payment that's more efficient for the long awaited cashless policy with transparency and freedom, but they are still not understanding the digital currency becasue is a virtual type. They will wake from their slumber to accept the fact that, bitcoin has come to stay and it's final.
I have always known the world would go cashless eventually but thought it would of been by credit/debit cards.
Then digital currency came along and now know this is the one which which will turn this dream of a cashless society into a reality one day.
And it will be sooner then we all think is what I believe will happen in the next 2-4 years. Smiley
6885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto news website CCN going to be shutdown due to google on: June 12, 2019, 11:12:57 PM
So, it seems that CCN will continue working:
https://www.ccn.com/ccn-markets-is-rising-from-the-dead
Really strange story. I hope they will be able to stay in business, despite these changes made by Google.
It's interesting who will benefit most from this Core Update. From CCN articles it seems that UK tabloids have increased their traffic seriously, and we can't be happy about it. And it's obvious that this update didn't worked in favour of crypto websites because all big players lost big part of traffic.
It's shitty when your business totally depends on Google and one change can ruin everything.
This seems to be how the cryptomarket operates too. With one factor playing a role in the grand scheme of things can cause the markets to crash and those who have large holdings in it will suffer immensely.
Yeah it looks like they have dodged a bullet and it could of been how they planned it all along. So to get more exposure to their site through different outlets reporting about them.
Who knows really. Undecided
6886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nicehash founder charged with fraud and racketeering arrest warrants 50 yrs jail on: June 12, 2019, 11:07:06 PM
For their customer who still use the service since the hack earlier in 2017 are their funds going to be consider safe to keep on their site accounts? Undecided
Just so you know, the news have nothing to do with Nicehash, the authorities are going after especific individuals.

But you should never trust 3rd-parties to hold your cryptos, that's like the #1 rule in the cryptosphere, especially if you know that the site was hacked in the past. So, even though Nicehash reimbursed most of the funds stolen two years ago, I don't think the customers funds are safe. If you have any coins in that site, get them out asap.
Yes keep your own crypto on your own wallet .
You should always be in control of your own crypto or wallet no matter how safe they might be ,
We couldn't be 100% sure that the hackers wouldn't find a way to get into their system just look at binance ,
It was said to be one of the most trusted trading site but still get their system hacked.
So we should be the one to take care on our own crypto funds.
Well the ones who are using the service can not keep it in their own wallet because they are waiting until they have reached their minimum amount mining so they can request a withdrawal.
As with the others who have responded to the thread. I agree with you since he doesnt own the company any longer it is up to the current owners to do damage control on the sites reputation because many of their customers are moving their hash away from the site even though he has nothing to do with the company any longer.
If you just go on other forums and media like reddit, twitter and youtube nobody wants their crypto coming from them anymore or even being connected in someway shape of form.
With even a 1% chance of it being connected to any activity from their sites past owner knowing of the charges involved.
6887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs should target developing and third world countries on: June 12, 2019, 10:59:34 PM
Lot's of Bitcoin ATMs keep popping in the developed countries such as US, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong etc. But I have been thinking why don't the owner's target countries without much economic stability? Like Venezuela . That would increase the adoption. Something like backpropagation. What do you think?
The main reason is economics, people in developed countries are more likely to use these ATM machines and the companies installing them will have their profits and that will not be the case with third world countries as there might not be having the same profit percentage they get in bitcoin centric developed countries and the legal formalities they have to overcome are denting these developments, adoption will not increase if there is a bitcoin ATM machine as most of the machines i came across have high service charges and i would rather opt for other options to trade bitcoin rather than depending on ATM machines. Wink
I don't understand the reason why people prefer to use a Bitcoin ATM instead of free centralized markets? There are no high fees for buying and selling Bitcoin but average people demand a new ATM everywhere. It will not profitable to put an ATM on the third world countries due to the cost and return on the investment.
Funny you say it wouldnt be profitable to put a bitcoin atm at a location where there wouldnt be anybody who can afford to use it.
I remember seeing a picture of one put in the middle of the forest in costa rica. Cheesy
Now that was an usual place to put it. Would the sloths there be making purchases. Grin
Kidding aside. In these third world countries they still have tourists who go there and these are machines used for their point of convenience no matter the location. It just costs the owner who is running it the operating costs. And if they arent profitable they would just shut them down.
6888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 18-year old boy became Millionare from Bitcoin on: June 12, 2019, 10:51:27 PM
Quote
"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."

It's a big statement! An 18 year old male who grew up in an affluent family, is not a good fit for making such statement! Becoming a millionaire doesn't make you eligible for such statements!

I remember this kid. He came off like a privileged, entitled jerk in his interviews. Not everyone is given thousands of dollars by their grandparents to buy whatever they want! Wink It sounds like he was just immensely lucky that his brother introduced him to Bitcoin, and that he had money to invest at the right time. That's a once in a lifetime opportunity!
Yes it is a rich kids story to be certain. He didnt have any troubles in his life so he does come off as an entitled little kid.
I heard about him last year but didnt follow up on his story. And two years later into his journey with cryptocurrency and it doesnt seem his attitude towards life has changed one bit.
It can hinder most at this young age when they dont go through lifes hardships to mold them into a respectful individual and have them growup into big jerk instead. Cheesy
I started to watch his interview like I said a year ago when I first bear about him but turned it off one minute into it. He didnt have much of anything interesting to say expect how he has "alot of stuff". Wink
6889  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: June 12, 2019, 10:44:40 PM

I'm not from the USA or I'm not resident of USA my country has blocked cloudbet Embarrassed When I have tried to access by USA VPN that was showing to me then I have changed to Canada now I can access cloudbet. Why they have made restriction for the USA?HuhHuh?

Most if not all of these gambling site can detect if a player is using a vpn service used to evade from being detected having a connection from a restricted area.
But what you just tried confirms what cloudbet just said to you and I known from their revision of their terms of service last year. When they had restricted all usa players from accessing their site.
Even though there are many who still try to get on the site and play being from the us they will find out eventually and red flag those accounts when they request a withdrawal. So it is not worth it for them to even try to fool their security system with false ip location programs such as a vpn or tor.
6890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worlds first Crypto-Postagestamps issued! on: June 12, 2019, 10:34:45 PM
"According to the press release, the so-dubbed “crypto stamp” is the first stamp in the world to be authenticated via blockchain technology. The postal service has reportedly issued 150,000 copies sold at € 6.90 apiece."

So these crypto stamps got to be purchased via fiat? Cheesy
These seem to be collectible items rather then something people would actually use on a daily basis because of their cost. Maybe if they could of marketed for its use on the blockchain then the way they did people would be more interested in it as a technological advancement rather than a fad item. Embarrassed
6891  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐁🐁MiceRace.com - Combo Betting - Fixed Odds - Track 11 Live Race Cameras🐁🐁 on: June 12, 2019, 10:16:09 PM
^Also it is illegal and if they created a topic it would probably get flagged and deleted.
So yes keep it on topic as this is pertaining to mice and not gaming cocks. Wink
It is unique games because I was not able to think this Idea that Mice will possible to use as a gambling. But I know animals can use to gambling like cock fighting but Mice Im shocked!

Goodjob to the owner who create this game and good concept. For the players better to pick good mice for you to win the race!
Now I am wondering if there would be someone who would create an online betting for cock fighting in the future.
This could also be a good one but it would be really hard to start something like that on your own maybe someone who works on cockfighting arena could host it.
I guess there are some people in crypto who also like that kind of betting.
There would never be something like this on the internet atleast legally because those cock fights are to the death.
So those who are part of anti animal cruelty associations would act upon them in no time and have them shut down automatically. Lips sealed
6892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Wall Street really interested in Bitcoin? on: June 12, 2019, 10:12:26 PM
The wolves of wallstreet do not leave anything that makes profits out of attention.
I think that they have of course notices bitcoin as there is a high opportunity to make profits. And the companies and the employees of wallstreet count their success on the rates of profit that they do.
This is exactly what I was thinking when I first heard about this corporation starting to get into the cryptosphere.
Have you seen those commercials they are running during primetime shows? It makes it look like a marketing ploy just so to get the attention of the stock brokers and gold holder outthere into using cryptocurrency instead.
They will just make it harder for the normal people who are working blue collar 9 to 5 jobs to obtain bitcoin with the price becoming unattainable to buy. Undecided

Money is always the bottomline in the wallstreet. So do we really believe that they pass this opportunity for themselves? For all we know, they might be silently accumulating bitcoin for the last few years already. And been an active crypto traders for themselves. But no issues at all with that from my opinion. This will help the sustainable growth of bitcoin in the coming years.
I do think this company greyscale has been doing it for years now just not under the same umbrella corporation but doing over the counter orders so to cover their tracks if anyone comes looking to see where all the bitcoin holding came from. Embarrassed
And yes completely agree with you as it is probably helping keep the price above the level it is at now with all the accumulation they have been doing since they have officially announcing to the public via the recent media publications.
6893  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★BetBTC★ Sportsbook & Casino | Bitcoin Sports Betting | Since 2014 | 100% Bonus on: June 12, 2019, 10:05:33 PM
One of the oldest sports bet site on the internet. There are a lot of websites which has much more reputation and bankroll than this one but this surely is a legit casino. But honestly, I do not understand this bonus thing is it so necessary that every casino is giving it nowadays.

Just a different name for it - I guess, but you're right there are plenty of other betting site out there and new ones really need to provide something better in order for them to stand out from the rest.
I dont think they did a rebranding of their site. I remember seeing it here quite a while ago and they have just had redesigns and updates done to website not a complete brand overhaul. If I am not mistaken. Undecided
6894  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBet.pro - Advanced P2P cryptocurrency price movement betting platform | Bonus on: June 12, 2019, 10:00:47 PM
-snipped-
We will add even more coins to the platform once our userbase grows. Stay tuned for that!
We just added new markets for Monero:USD and Dash:USD!
Pretty simple site and I really like the concept, everything seems fair. I was worried there would be obscure altcoins that could be manipulated but they are all decent large volume coins. I'm definitely going to play a few rounds and see how it goes.
No, we only support coins with actual liquidity (real) on our platform.
I noticed you saying earlier you would supporting more coins in the future. So the addition of more coins would have you separate yourself apart from the other sites which offer this type of betting on the price movements of the cryptocurrency markets. Such as altcoins like litecoin which have had some major price action in the past couple of days reaching its all time high.
6895  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | V2 & New games out now! 👽 on: June 12, 2019, 08:09:25 AM
Looks like they added another ranking to the star status of their vip system. Have seen many of the previous holders of silver and gold stars upgraded respectively to gold and a new platinum color just an hour ago.
Very nice of them to give the additional ultimate status star to those who bet quite a bit on the site and hopefully they will receive alot of incentives to continue using the platform with the improvements happen such as the addition of the sportsbooks which has been talked about for quite sometime now. Grin

Still going sideways in pursuit of $8k... currently $7818USD/$10265CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
This looks good except the currency symbol  🤪 Imagine it's in USD currency.
I thought I clearly indicated both the USD and CAD prices, listing the USD price first because this is the "Wall Observer BTC/USD" thread and including the CAD for the benefit of the many Canadian members of this forum, including the original thread starter as well as the creator of our lovely hats.
I suppose I could also include pesos, euros, dinars, pounds, rands, etc, but I'm lazy and it sounds like too much work.
Bah, work. Curse of the drinking class.

6897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Nicehash founder charged with fraud and racketeering arrest warrants 50 yrs jail on: June 11, 2019, 02:34:46 PM
Two slovenians an american and a spaniard are charged with bank wire fraud and racketeering.
US authorities are charging Matjaz Skorjanc the founder of NiceHash with racketeering & conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

"The two suspects from Slovenia are Matjaž Škorjanc, 32, and Mentor Leniqi, a 35-year old Serbian citizen, who are together with the Spanish citizen still fugitives.
The US authorities issued arrest warrants for them, while US citizen Thomas McCormick, 26, was arrested last December, a few days after the sealed indictments were filed, according to a US Attorney Office release."

6898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto news website CCN going to be shutdown due to google on: June 11, 2019, 02:06:07 PM
It's probably an excuse they happily grab so that they can justify poor revenue and profit streams to their shareholders. News outlets like CCN have been very poor performers due to their low quality articles.

The bear market very likely plays a role too, because who aside from the few scam IEOs will buy their ad slots? Maybe a gambling site from time to time, but that's not enough for them to sustain themselves with. Meh.

They could have tried to pay people here to post articles on social media like CoinIdol tends to do in an attempt to generate traffic, but with a big team behind the scenes this probably won't be viable either.
Very true even if this was applied to any sort of website out there and not only to these cryptonews sites. Wink

When I was logging in I did notice was having some issues with the page showing up then disappearing from what sygambler was mentioning is happening to him.
Then I remembered when this occurred they had another web location were you can use incase you had issues with the current domain.
So went to old.sportsbet.io and to see if my current balance would show up and it took a little while for the site to load up (the pulsing greendot in the center of the screen) but it eventually did and my account displayed along with my bets and balance.
This is their back up site incase they are performing maintenance or the main site is causing conflicts with something in your browser.
