I am talking about Eric Finman.

An inspiring story that is worth to read.

This is just a summarized of his journey.

Eric Finman is just a typical 16 year old student who is bright and creative. He has smart two brothers and he is the youngest. He is into latest technologies. When his brother introduced digital currencies (bitcoin) at 2013 who his brother brought 50 bitcoins. He decided to compete his brother by buying hundreds of bitcoin worth $1,000 in which his grandmother's  gave.

His brother Ross gave him a book by Ohanian ( a co-founder of Reddit), which indicates the power of internet and which got Eric's attention and interests. He is eager to meet him but there is $8,500 fee which made his parents think it was too much. With his eagerness he founds out and discovered that the bitcoin reached $1,200 and he sold his bitcoin to $100,000.

Finally, he met Ohanian. It amazed him how matured enough Eric when it comes to technology. One time, as a freelancer, he make a Flappy Bird knockoff  game and Ohanian is an eye opener for Eric's eagerness to use internet as a source of income.

He produce his own programmers, etc. And made his own company.

I just thought Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest millionare. Now, it is Eric Finman.

Here is my favorite line from my idol,

Quote from: Eric Finman
"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."

He is now 18 years old. Despite of being disppointment in terms of education, he is now a successful and the youngest millionare by bitcoin and by his innovations and by being creative.

Wow, I`m 21 and barely can pay my monthly bills and other basic needs. I think Erik is awesome and really brilliant for his age. I hope I could be a millionaire soon and not gonna grow old having nothing. I hope bitcoin will make me a millionaire too someday.

I remember almost the same story of a young boy bought bitcoin way back years ago and just hold it until the value grows in 2017..I did not bookmarked the thread where I have read it but it’s about a boy who made a deal with his parents that if he gather a million he will not go to college and when the hype happened then he sold all the bitcoin and become a young millionaire

But some post above is right, since the boy seems like from a rich family so basically he can earn million if he has that big capital of 1000$ from grandmas

It's a big statement! An 18 year old male who grew up in an affluent family, is not a good fit for making such statement! Becoming a millionaire doesn't make you eligible for such statements!

I remember this kid. He came off like a privileged, entitled jerk in his interviews. Not everyone is given thousands of dollars by their grandparents to buy whatever they want! Wink It sounds like he was just immensely lucky that his brother introduced him to Bitcoin, and that he had money to invest at the right time. That's a once in a lifetime opportunity!
Lucky child is it Smiley he has great courage, because buying dozens of bitcoins even though at price of $1k, its includes large capital,
especially for his young age. That is the reward for every investor who is patient and brave

Though I've known this kid's story for a couple of years now it has never failed to amaze me on how he sticked with bitcoin. But lately, I don't know if he's going against bitcoin because he's telling kind of weird things that definitely affects the emotion of the people. Those 'bad features' in his own opinion that affects the usage of bitcoin and on how 'slow' it was according to him. I can't say if this is just another tactic of his that he had learned from the whales to drop the price.

Great success story but if he doesn't wanted to meet him and kept that bitcoins ,when the bitcoin hits 20000$? Prize 1000000$,1 million USDs. His loss 900000$. 0.9 milion USD. Decision Define Destiny

It may sound harsh, but when you're already struggling to make ends meet, it's way less likely to actually replicate what this teenager did because you're way more likely to cash out profits when you're up 50-100%.

People often feel bad about not having found out about Bitcoin earlier, but they don't realize that even if they did, they would cash out right away after what in traditional markets can be seen as an exceptional profit percentage.

You need to be a firm believer in Bitcoin and have a large enough part of your wealth parked in it for at least 5 or so years. If you don't trust yourself and have some technical understanding, you could even time-lock your coins.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Well everyone's have their own lines in life though. This dude just literally gambled something that won't even guarantee him good things after 10 years or so. It just happened that it was well-done for him, and it paid-off. I do not have that kind of pair as his especially when it comes to money in earlier stages in life. Man, I do not even have the appropriate fund to use money in gambling at this kind of investments.
We all have different thoughts and belief, and if he succeed on that way maybe its not applicable to us. On my younger age i was not able to save because of the status in my life but I don’t regret anything because i know we all have different time to shine. We will become a millionaire in the future for sure even if its beyond 10years its ok, just keep dreaming and remember those Billionaires who also started late especially the founder of KFC.

Very motivational story but it is near to impossible to get rich in such a short time frame. I regret till today why  I didn't do the same crazy things like selling the house, car for buying and holding more Bitcoin but thanks to God I am fine now. 18-year-old people will not have the same chance in the future like this in my opinion.

This was an old story already and it was all hyped up before just like the 'pizza guy' but as you can see this boy is indeed a risk taker but his family is wealthy enough because his grandmother have a capacity to give a $1000 gift to a 16 yrs. old boy, I'm not hating his success though but he's not a self-made millionaire who've used his brain to discover a multi-million thing, it just happened that he invested and got lucky.

i agree the boy is just lucky to discover bitcoin when he have money they just hype it
$1000 is not small amount if you compare to other people it means they have the money to invest
for me i start from scratch without initial investment if i become millionaire someday im better because i start without initial investment.
for me everyone have their own time line anyone have a chance to achieved their dream just dont stop dreaming.

Very inspiring, for not all kids in that age will think about this worth investment and have the chance to enter on it.
However, he is also a very lucky kid where he grows in the rich family that could give him big funds for investment. We can appreciate it for him.
How if there is a kid from a poor family and be successful because of Bitcoin? It will be very awesome to hear that story, of course, more than this.

Yes it is a rich kids story to be certain. He didnt have any troubles in his life so he does come off as an entitled little kid.
I heard about him last year but didnt follow up on his story. And two years later into his journey with cryptocurrency and it doesnt seem his attitude towards life has changed one bit.
It can hinder most at this young age when they dont go through lifes hardships to mold them into a respectful individual and have them growup into big jerk instead. Cheesy
I started to watch his interview like I said a year ago when I first bear about him but turned it off one minute into it. He didnt have much of anything interesting to say expect how he has "alot of stuff". Wink

These are what inspire us in our journey for financial freedom. It looks a very long way to get there but that isn't it. This little kid didn't just make it in a month or two. I was just recently that bitcoin caught the world's attention. So I still see myself as a billionaire in the near future.

He took the risk and he got lucky. There's very less people who would risk a $1000 for an unknown tech. But he knew what the power of internet could bring for the world and invested in what is thought was worth it. And was handsomely rewarded for that.
What we should learn from this is we should take risks if we want to be sucessful.

This is indeed the inspiration to us, we can still have the chance to become millionaire. Yes, he spend more time for sure but his thinking right for sure. I wish to become like him, though I’m quiet old now but I wont stop just because of my age, I’m inspired to do more.

He's amazing. That's his fate, to be a millionaire at young age. Anyway, we can be millionaire regardless of age, regardless our IQ. We just have a different path to become successful in life. I did not want the old cliché that states, "if you die poor it's your fault because you had given time to become rich" Who wants to suffer poverty in all of his lifetime? Being successful doesn't only depend in our self.

I too knew about bitcoin in 2013 but neither did I had courage, nor $1000 to spare for some digital tokens.
There are still a lot of oppurtunities around us but we just need to realise it and have courage enough to believe in what you think would make a change.
Cryptocurrency is still in it's early phase and we can have more of such millionaires in the future.

I always remember one story that happened in 2008 or in 2009, when one guy offered to buy two pizzas for 10.000 Bitcoin.  Then someone took these words with a sneer, because Bitcoin had practically no value and no one believed in its prospects.  But today, many people perceive this information with a hysterical smile, because they understand what great opportunities these were at that time.  Simple guys who were simply addicted to computers and high technologies, such as the blockchain, simply playing accumulated a large amount of Bitcoin in their wallets, without even knowing what it would lead to.  Today they are billionaires who are practically either gamers or nerds.  The same situation is probably with a boy who is 18 years old.

wow that is an extraordinary story and at the same time can motivate us all. When a 16-year-old child is able to do that then why can't we? Basically we should not be afraid to compete and continue to seek knowledge.

OP did you write that or copy paste? If it was you I want to reward you with 2 merit points.

It's a big statement! An 18 year old male who grew up in an affluent family, is not a good fit for making such statement! Becoming a millionaire doesn't make you eligible for such statements!

People come from different backgrounds, different financial situations and different family situations! To get a different perspective of life, speak to a slum boy someday!

This is all true. This child had the sense to invest his money instead of spend it on toys and gadgets and technology. He also times it well. Some of us didn't. We lost out. He had disposable money so he risked it. We didn't.

I just summarized it with my own wordswhat I have understand about his journey on how he became millionare. You can read all his story with the link i provided below my post. Also, i did not copy paste it. You can simple pin point it easily since my English and my grammar is not that good and intact.

However, back to the topic. I envy the boy so much. He was so determined to become victorious in life. He was so lucky the btc's price back then was so cheap.

I gave you 3 merit points  Cool You contacted me and used your initiative so you deserve them.

Yeah I wanted to buy bitcoins in 2013 but I didn't Sad I did need the money but still. I just had to wait a few years.
