Coinbase 'regulator' thing means financial institutions can trade (hedge) bitcoin.
Fiat is a mess (unlimited) BTC is 13m units (plus 3600/day), and the boys in finance can do some fancy math.
They have armies of Ph.D / Physics brains.
Wall Street Journal is Hyping btc ... to the money class.
Davos. Bill Gates.
BTC is at a low.
It doesn't take much to cause panic buyins and launch BTC above the $1300 bar then it goes nutty.
But this is just kicking the can (for a year or so). Reality will settle back in and BTC will consistently bleedout capital. The race back down will be insanity.
I'd rather not play poker with Billionaries. And it is easy to read the next play.
Another round of BTC bull run will double or triple the SHA network hash power. The market (exchanges) and side services will expand even more. Improve even more.
And while the general public is all punch drunk on $5000 btc, the big money will swap out for the solid alts.
Three coins in the SHA network have solid fundamentals. Ix, Uno, and Zeta. The big dogs will swoop in overnight with $5000 btc coins and gain 50% shares or more (if they can get it they will take it all).
We are entering a whole new realm. They will shakeout the alts, only to buy them up.

@Z 1. backup the good wallet (x3) sure to be sure 2. go to new "downloaded the Unobtanium storage vault" APPDATA/ROAMING 3. del or rename that wallet.dat (nothing on that one right?) 4. copy paste in the good wallet as wallet.dat 5. load UNO wallet see if the UNO shows up. I just had an interesting thought: once the barriers to mass adoption are overcome, and people really get the crypto thing, it's a really small step for them to jump from BTC to ....?
This is one of the BIG ideas that we need to keep in mind. UNO has racked up a very impressive start, year one chart. It will look very nice in March. (Woolong jump/pump is out of frame) Also in March I think many of the BTC only crowd will start to 'consider' the alternatives ... these are the people who know 'bitcoin' and 'litecoin' ONLY. But probably don't know the litecoin price This is the trend UNO needs to lead for 2015. Because we have the charts, we have the performance. What does it take? Just what UN has done, keeps doing ... solid price ... heading slightly North. This catches the eye, gets some more volume. Repeat. Around late summer / fall then we need to rollout some flashy websites. Run ads. I think the Mass Exodus from BTC will be in full effect after btc becomes obviously stuck in 2012 price ranges. By 2016 we will need to think about 'conferences' and 'booths' ... youtube spokes men and lady, web pundits, mascots, home office, merchant directories (maps). My only worry, and not such a big one, is that UN does pop UP on the chart like to 0.05 then we'll have a bear run for 3-4 months ... so that fubar's the chart ... but gives us a stress tested support level and new high mark. TLDR; Strong buy support at 0.01 for the next 3 months and we all good. --------------------------------------------------------------------- *Sorry short rant ... just looked at BTC chart ... I will entertain option #4 under these terms 1. the 'F**k' does not happen until at least December 2015 2. We look to create an AuxPow so UN stays at 3min 3. We can get some 'demo' first (I suggest a snap shot of UN ... UN-EX can create some use out of it). --------- I watch IX to see the advantage of lots of Hash ... so far the market does NOT seem to care ... at all. We have the same market cap and higher inflation. (there's only a question of fair in regards to ix) ... plus 10 min speed sucks |

Execoin is really great. Just wonder why it's so undervaluated. Perhaps this year will bring a change.. Maybe because it's practically completely abandoned? They still have ASIC-proof in the topic of the thread, but it's had ASICs mining its rotting carcass for the past several months. There's no volume on any exchange. Devs haven't posted in months. Maybe I'm just a pessimist, but I kinda doubt it's gonna turn around... Anyone backing up the QTs and websites? |

re:convincing other coins to merge zeta ... too pride-full, " you can fork but we wont", hard to judge if this is a vocal minority or the majority (but they know about it) maza .... shoes on the other foot now, they have very impressive hash rates dem .... don't know, but they also have nice hash rates digi, myriad, digital ... don't know Acoin ... would like to talk with them as they will be a low hash coin in the near future, but have ok hash these days. xjo, open, battle, firefly, tak, tiger, ben, byte, bancor, unb, unic, goat, asic, ctm I'd have no complaint if they merged into uno. BUT auth/pow with Btc I would say is OFF, my opinion is strong NO *Because we can hold our own right now and the indication is that we will continue to be a 'good enough' network for 12-18 months
