So your friends are one of the reasons for the dumps that are happening. Grin

It is about guts and knowledge.
You do not jump in to risk your money without knowing where it will be going.

One example is gold. A lot of people are buying it considering it is easy to sell back or just pawn it to get it back when you have the money again.
Did people just jump in to buy it? No. They still think about it if it is the worthy investment since there have been a lot of options now. Gold may be on the top options but the movemeny for value is slower.
In crypto it is getting faster. Technology is changing and we need to catch up.

I honestly believe the biggest reason why he moved to Lakers was the business ownership he has. He can stay in los angeles and california and run all of his business from there much better and become a proper business man after he retires and he needs to set those roots deep during his playing days. I do not think lebron will ever focus on winning another ring, he is just focusing on being the best money making machine he can be. Lakers is also a great networking opportunity because there are so many celebrities that comes to games and they can get together and build a business relation and make a proper business deal.

So its likely a business move for him? That's good as least he is not like the rest of the NBA stars who after having a successful career ended up with nothing because they didn't take care of their money and their future. Others became bankrupt and was force to sell their NBA memorabilia. But I read some articles saying that his main reason for moving is because of his childhood idol, Magic Johnson. So there's a lot of personal and financial reasons for him really move to LA and yeah he is the best player so he can do anything he want.

Exactly. Even NBA is all about business. That;s the reason why other sport are better than basketball. But still anyway I'm a fan of NBA.
Hopefully BlackMamba legacy will not buried by Lebron James joining Lakers.

Nah I dont think so. Lebron is getting older and his scores might go lower on the upcoming years. If not, then the players who are defending him are the ones getting soft.

BlackMamba though. He had been with Lakers for almost all of his life in his career so I dont think someone can easily bury that. He had it marked in history and will not be forgotten.
Same with Magic and Abdul-Jabbar.
Even if Lebron will brings lots of championships in the Lakers, the people will not forget Kobe because he is already a hall of famer and a laker
legend. Lakers fans are just glad with Lebron as they will have a chance to enter in the playoffs and it will bring more fun.

Yeah and more money for the Lakers management afterwards. If they could go to theplayoffs that means a stretch into their budget. Magic knows that and you could all see it in his smiles.
It is an obvious business mattter and not really for a goal of championship. Pure entertainment. Bringing in another Hollywood actor in their midst. Lebron James.
6883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Three things you should not do when Bitcoin prices drop! on: September 09, 2018, 02:19:54 PM
The third one is a must.
That became my hobby before. Looking at the price over and over again even if it will change for just 10-20 usd.

It became a disease. Looking at different rates which I really should not care. I am not a seller so I wont do it.

A problem that is hard to stop but can be done. This happens mostly to newbies. They want instant money in their face and are getting worried with just a little fluctuation.
That should not happen.
6884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your greatest trading regret? on: September 09, 2018, 12:15:31 PM
It was my first time when it happened.
Although I credit it to experience I still see it as one my greatest regret.

That is one problem if you are used to being just a holder. When you lost something that looks likes a gamble it really hurts.

I have the thought of being just good to hold any coin.
But I still do it for little amounts. When I get bored.

Question is what altcoin is going up?

Since they are dumping Ethereum where the heck are they transferring all those funds?
Are they going out for good or are they buying another altcoin.
Whatever it is they are buying it may be out of the market yet
 Let us say an ICO.
Cause almost all the altcoins are being dumped now.

That could be one good reason. I guess he will be seeling his house in Cleveland now since he wont need it and will buy another in LA or maybe he already have one.
Dream come true for him and I guess fans will still support him whatever reason it could be.
Let's face it. It is the perks of being the best in the league.
6888  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC TO 3K$ on: September 08, 2018, 05:09:38 PM
Read this also in one telegram group.

Where is the proof though?
It is just mere speculation and there is no accuracy with it.
Will you really believe in those kind of statement?
It could just be a move to dump bitcoin again. Shaky hands will buy the news and sell but strong ones will keep it.

It had been the rhythm here over and over again. It is getting boring.
6889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jobless No More on: September 08, 2018, 04:29:13 PM
And I thought it will be about trading altcoins that will give you some money.

Tgere is no assurance with bounties. Some of them doesnt pay when the softcap is not even reached.

Better to still have that day job that will pay for your rent, bills and necessities.
Better to not just jump in conclusion and suddenly introducing it to others.
Worse case scenario? You will lose a friend or a family member.
6890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: September 08, 2018, 02:15:41 PM
Lebron signed for the Lakers because of his frustration on his last 2 years in his return to the Cavaliers, I reckon. This is the same as the time he signed to the Miami Heat. It is a decision of making the championship again, a decision for money and it might also be a decision for his own personal happiness, or his family's happiness.

Well there is no Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in Lakers. All of them out there are young guns. It will be a difficult time for him to carry the whole team.
He wins championships with help.
Wait, every star does.

This is actually something which is not new.
He loves coming in to a weak team and take them up but never a championship.
Just the Finals though. Is it really out of frustration or just fame?
6891  Economy / Speculation / Re: Satoshi Nakamato selling 111000 Bitcoins ? on: September 07, 2018, 11:36:51 PM
The wallet is believed to be tied to Silk Road, not satoshi.

Possible.
Stay hidden for a few years then suddenly popping out of the blue.
This could be the worse dump that will ever happen.

It is possible that they accumulated this much and are now on the move to sell.
They lose a lot of money with what happened to them. It is payback time. Might be a good idea to track it.
6892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins better than bicoins right now? on: September 07, 2018, 08:52:12 PM
Will you really rely the faith of your money into something that is leaning on the bitcoin price?

Yeah right I found that hard to swallow but it is the truth. You may want to test it.
When bitcoin is down all of the altcoin are surely in the low price too.

Worse thing is when there is a pump on bitcoin they stay the same. So what would you rather pick? It will still be bitcoin at the top.
6893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rolls Royce is accepting bitcoins on: September 07, 2018, 06:22:24 PM
Where the official link or statement from Rolls Royce that they’re set to accept BTC as payment for their cars?

Title: You Can Use Bitcoin to Buy a New Rolls-Royce in Houston
Link: https://www.thestreet.com/investing/you-can-use-bitcoin-to-buy-a-new-rolls-royce-in-houston-14703200

So, yeah. Just in Houston. Might not be that much of a big deal compared to if it was Rolls-Royce internationally, but hey. Adoption is adoption no matter how big or small.

Correct. It is still good news. Somehow we as bitcoin users can crawl this down into getting small merchants. While this one is a big name but just in one place it is still a positive reflection to bitcoin.

Somehow that company have a management that looks into bitcoin as a real currency.
Now, we will just have to follow this and maybe boost them into getting it in an international state so that it will be seen more.
6894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: September 07, 2018, 04:16:00 PM
The game is getting a bigger talent pool that is correct but just because players can play without hardcore play it doesn't mean game is not softer right now, it is getting much much softer than what it was on defense, yes on offense people are evolving to more three pointers or even bigs can pass and so forth but they have literally moved hand checking to foul levels and we can't just come up and say the game is not softer because of it.

Hand checking was one of the biggest weapons of defense for many teams and without it the defense is just lacking greatly and people like harden is abusing these powers given to offensive players.

I have that thought too at first but we must also consider this average height of guys.
Before it is hard to be one. You need to be a high jumper so that you could score inside for they wont let you make a perimeter shot because of that hand check.

They have given them an opportunity to create score but it became way too far that it had to be abused.
Harden is the one I always imagine with it. Dribbling the ball for centuries and no one can even go near him. Why? No handcheck. They could be called for a foul in an instant or maybe something else.

Double teams. We dont see much of it anymore.
Full court press. No.
It will always be a man to man waiting at the other side of the court.

Defense plays are out. It is all about the offense now.
Defense now depends on the player of how good he could be one on one.
6895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: September 07, 2018, 12:58:31 PM
Okay so I read your answers and mostly says it is a "No". The NBA is still on good track.

Maybe people are really just comparing too much. The game is really different now than before since trainings are also different and now they are also using Math and Science  to upgrade the game of one player. I guess you know what I mean. Just like what they have done with Dirk using Geometry.

But therr should always be a balance. If this will continue and tall men cannot catch up then it will be the game of average heights.

Maybe that is one more reason to why Durant doesnt want his body to be buffed. Grin
6896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I daily earn 10% on: September 07, 2018, 11:24:01 AM
If it possible then there would be a lot of rich man here that would not answer your questions anymore due to the fact that they are already earning and would not care about what you say.

There is always a risk. If you just try to get knowledge about one coin then you are trying to minimize it.
But that is only possible with time.
You cannot learn something in an instant.
Always be ready for other possible events that could take that profit back.
6897  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trading experience on: September 06, 2018, 11:39:46 PM
Good thing you have profited using them.
If it is true.
Most of the new users here just creates the same kind of thread just to advertise their own trading channel so they could pull more traders and arterwards will be getting fee for all the work.
Kicked from the channel unless payment is given.
Very well then congratulations to you. I still prefer doing it on my own.
6898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I LOVE PANIC SELLERS on: September 06, 2018, 07:40:35 PM
Somehow funny but also some might get hurt with this.

All of us once walked into the path of being a newbie in trading and stuffs that has something to do with crypto currencies.
I once have a panic attack when I saw bitcoin price came down just after I bought it. I thought it will be the end of my money if I dont sell it.
Lack of knowledge about bitcoin and also what it will be on the future. That is what hurts much to those who just came in. Bought first because of the hype and reading about it afterwards while the dump and pump keeps on coming in.

I guess it should always be, knowledge first before jumping in.
6899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: September 06, 2018, 05:25:58 PM
Here is a good trivia for everyone ever since the hand check rule was removed in 2004.

It was just Dirk Nowitzki whose position is forward/center who have won the season MVP when the rule was implemented.
After him are all guards and small forward which is only Lebron.

Steve Nash
Harden
Westbrook
Curry
Kobe

Why?
Hand check have been a great help before to keep up in front of shooters.
Before it was implemented MVP's are big men and only Jordan took a snatch out of it.

David Robinson
Shaq
Tim Duncan
Karl Malone

It is also said that there have been issues with NBA regarding profits since people are getting exhausted seeing just big men taking the throne.
They also want to see new shooters.

Any comments? Is the NBA league really getting soft?

In some aspects - maybe. But I wouldn't be so critical. The game changes towards speed attack, small-ball & 3 pointers and it's fine for me. There are some other aspects of physicality, for example Russell Westbrook and his rides towards the rim.

Let's also check the new generation of centers - DeMarcus Cousins, Joel Embidd , Deandre Ayton. Even 7 years ago we didn't have in the league so strong and agile PF/C and this also change the game a lot. The other thing is that they are much more like Hakeem than Shaq + they started shooting threes as well.

I'm really curious in which direction will league evolve in upcoming years.

Well, that is what I heard from friends. Evolution of the league. Since they want Centers and Forwards to be faster now.
But have you seen the line up of GSW and Houston when they are playing the WCF?
It is a small one. GSW didnt use McGee much and Houston is also benching Clint Capela just to tie up with the GSW team with speed.

Before it was all about Rebounds and Blocks and mostly defensive thing that will win the game.
But now it became too much with offense. I just want to see another Piston team once again. If you know what I mean.
6900  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Hits $24,000 In Iran on: September 06, 2018, 02:52:48 PM
They should really make a correction as fast as they could with this article.
Or else, it would give them a problem and might be the reason for the website to be shut down.

For those saying it was an old news. It is not. From this date Sept 6, 2018. It was posted 14 hours ago.

Here is one of the comment from one of the trader in Iran.

Quote
1 USD = 14,000 Toman OR 140,000 Rial in the black market. EXIR's tweet is showing the price in Toman so 1 BTC would be roughly the same as the international price and there is no arbitrage.
The problem is that people get their USD-IRR exchange rate from Google which is Iran's official exchange rate that pretty much is meaningless. The exchange rate at the moment between USD and IRR or Toman is what I posted earlier.

There could be a typo error or maybe it is the side of the exchange who made it wrong.
It is said to be $2417 only. So add another number and it could look like 24k USD
