I honestly believe the biggest reason why he moved to Lakers was the business ownership he has. He can stay in los angeles and california and run all of his business from there much better and become a proper business man after he retires and he needs to set those roots deep during his playing days. I do not think lebron will ever focus on winning another ring, he is just focusing on being the best money making machine he can be. Lakers is also a great networking opportunity because there are so many celebrities that comes to games and they can get together and build a business relation and make a proper business deal.
So its likely a business move for him? That's good as least he is not like the rest of the NBA stars who after having a successful career ended up with nothing because they didn't take care of their money and their future. Others became bankrupt and was force to sell their NBA memorabilia. But I read some articles saying that his main reason for moving is because of his childhood idol, Magic Johnson. So there's a lot of personal and financial reasons for him really move to LA and yeah he is the best player so he can do anything he want. Exactly. Even NBA is all about business. That;s the reason why other sport are better than basketball. But still anyway I'm a fan of NBA. Hopefully BlackMamba legacy will not buried by Lebron James joining Lakers. Nah I dont think so. Lebron is getting older and his scores might go lower on the upcoming years. If not, then the players who are defending him are the ones getting soft. BlackMamba though. He had been with Lakers for almost all of his life in his career so I dont think someone can easily bury that. He had it marked in history and will not be forgotten. Same with Magic and Abdul-Jabbar.

Lakers fans are just glad with Lebron as they will have a chance to enter in the playoffs and it will bring more fun.

I don't think the legacy of Kobe will be buried by Lebron. Kobe has played his career on one team only and he contributed so much to the team. Its not that easy for it to be buried. One more, as @Reid said, Lebron is getting older now and after his contract with the Lakers, it will be his 19th year on NBA. I think Lebron is going for the NBA record especially in most points in NBA history.

If they could go to theplayoffs that means a stretch into their budget. Magic knows that and you could all see it in his smiles. It is an obvious business mattter and not really for a goal of championship. Pure entertainment. Bringing in another Hollywood actor in their midst. Lebron James.

I do not think lebron can even come close to kobe bryant, dude had 5 championships with lakers and carried a lakers team with luke walton and smush parker and kwame brown to playoffs all by himself. Kobe never had a decent team to play with aside from his championship and finals years, he played with horrible players during the in between years.
Lebron is coming to lakers after he got old and won his rings and now it is purely business and nothing to do with basketball, he can still make a lot of money from playing which is the only reason he is still playing because he already started to make more money from his business deals.

Totally agree. I respect LeBron whole a lot but he's nothing close to Kobe and LA deal is all about money (which is okay..).

I think it's not all about the money because there are higher offers to LeBron with other teams. What I heard was his children would be studying in LA, so it's an opportunity for them to stay there, probably until he retires or something.

It's gonna be fun knowing Lebron will be playing with young players who are talented, they will not resist because Lebron is the king and he will manage in the floor.

Not a hater of Lebron, but I do agree that the legacy Kobe established in Lakers can't be match by Lebron. Post Shaq Lakers and Mamba time as different. Kobe really re-define what NBA greatness is all about when he is in LA. Others may argue that he is a ball hog during his prime in LA but who's he gonna pass the ball? Its all about the money for Lebron and Hollywood glamour.

Of course, you're absolutely right. It was told many times that on this stage of his career he focuses mostly on his family and life after basketball. The decision to move to LA was beyond basketball. But if he manages to win the ring with Lakers, it'd be something spectacular - to win championships with three different teams as a leader. Nobody ever did that.

I think the additions of "cerebral" players are because he was really not playing with people who played with their minds but played with players who played with their ego and skills (except kevin love) for 2 years now. So people like rondo and lance are really important for lebron and he wants similar type players to added in the future.

Lets face it. These players are dirty ones but hey have a goal and that is to win. We can see that with Rondo mostly. With his experience in championship games it will be an easy task for him without even having a breakdown which we see mostly with other players. Lance now is a legitimate strong player. Mcgee have his share of experience too. It will be the young ones that needs some changes for this veterans.

Since NBA is also business then money talks is also involved but yeah I agree. Lebron is not that close compare to Kobe and his contributions not only on the team but on NBA itself. Whatever his reasons why he joined Lakers, I know that they already have a slot on playoffs. Maybe the reason he joined there because he wants the young players of Lakers be an all star caliber players in the future with the use of his experience.

It is incredible that after 4 years of finals and 3 rings, warriors are still so much ahead of everyone else that this year it is going to be even easier for them. I mean they added cousins but even without him they are incredibly talented and consist of the best players with a great coaching staff and the difference between them and the second best will be insane again.
Rockets tried to beat them last year and was pretty close but they lost a great role player in trevor ariza but got melo who is aging and not playing like he used to and fall short of exceptions. I doubt anyone could be even a challenge for them this year. It is sad to know who will win the championship even before the league starts.

It is hard to predict but I bet he will be better off with Pops. Experience wise and also discipline, that man may change the way DeRozan plays and maybe give them a better game or better a championship game. DeRozan is really a good player. He just needs to be sharpened when it comes to team playing which he doesnt have much.

Agree, playing with coach Pop will able to enhance his mentality, if he will able to adopt the system and blend well with his team mates, he can showcase his talents he just needed to adjust and play according to the system and become matured and enjoy the trade.

The #Timberbulls need to buyout Noah's contract and complete the full circle. Too bad it's gonna last no more than a year. No way in hell Jimmy stays to play with Wiggins and KAT.

We don't talk about DeRozan because not majority of us here believe that he is a real good player. I am an NBA fan and I watch DeRozan play along with Lowry and they are a good combo actually but not as good as great players like Lebron, Irving, Durant, and Curry.
