6881  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: UnionBank SMS phishing scam alert! on: September 22, 2020, 11:23:08 PM
In any case, the best thing to do is not to click on that link at mag follow up sa bank, alamin kung legit or not.
6882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Micah - Sept 26 on: September 22, 2020, 10:57:41 PM
Casimero is still on Inoue's list. I'm not sure though on another hand if Inoue is still on Casimero's list as he has another target if ever he will win on his upcoming match.

Yes, he is still on Casimero's list. In a recent interview, Casimero was asked who he preferred to fight if ever he get past Duke Micah and he quickly answered the three names in order  Smiley, Luis Nerry, Inoue and Guillermo Rigondeaux. I just wonder why Inoue is second on the list as he should be fighting this guy last April.

Few days to go before the fight but still no odds on my favorites bookies  Sad.

Yeah, I don't see it in my favourite bookies as well.

Bob Arum is setting up the two for a possible fight next year, when the pandemic has settle down at least and hopeful fans can watch in live and thru PPV. Forget about Nery, yes he is good, but I don't think it can bring more money to the table as compare to the much awaited Inoue vs Casimero fight.
6883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: September 22, 2020, 10:35:21 PM
The split is already predetermined, Lopez is already guaranteed $ 1.x million, and there are no PPV here, that's why he was offered that big amount. Initially he has rejected it and Loma step up and agree to have his pay cut just to be able to salvage the fight. Of course, boxing now is business, trash talk and stuff, but most of the time, the fighters that is so loud mouth losses the fight, except perhaps for elite boxers such as Floyd Mayweather who can walk the walk and talk the talk.

Lomachenko is not fighting for money, he just want to kick Lopez's ass right away when they stepped in the ring. Now that Lomachenko has already sacrifice some grand just to make this fight happened, I'm pretty sure that we will gonna see some all out war from him. This is some serious match right here, I wonder if he can really make a red mark to Lopez's record.

He got the lion share of the split, so obviously Loma is fighting for the money. Boxing is a business now, did you hear that this fight didn't almost push through because Lopez demanded for money? So everyone is really looking for the money fight in boxing. Forget about fighters who says that they just want glory or something, boxing is one way to get someone become millionaire, example our very own Manny Pacquaio, it is a game changer, because it is career like any "professional" sports out there. Professional meaning you are getting paid big money.

And this is what these criminals are expecting though, people who don't have the technical knowledge, you just click any links and don't have a good security practice. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear that someone was victimised by this very sophisticated trick. Even if they see a suspicious "*.domain name", people are still clicking though, so what more of a hexa email?

And speaking of email, did you guys heard that Tutanota DDoS attack recently? So there's a lot of things going on as cyber criminals are building up attacks.

6886  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Could Polkadot (DOT) Be The Next Ethereum? on: September 21, 2020, 10:28:41 PM
Comparable to Ethereum in terms of what? functionality or market price?

I think they have more similarities functionally lalo na when ETH2 is release. Eto yong naresearch ko about them.

[..snip..]

Choosing a Platform: A Comparison of Ethereum vs Polkadot

Nothing against the project, dahil ako nga mismo nasilip ko na rin to dati pa.

Actually last month pa ito pinag-usapan (reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5271276.0).

Or maybe we can used this thread rin Bitcoin Revolution Scam.

I don't know if the page is mocking the phishing perpetrators by stating that an almost realistic phishing campaign is out and about Cheesy
+100

Pero I will give the benefit of the doubt na Pinoy yan,  Smiley.
6889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: September 20, 2020, 10:13:03 PM
I admire Loma because he did not retaliate to the insults thrown on him by Lopez on social media, he just rather let his fist do the talking om the ring come October.

Yes, just like Manny, he do the talking in the ring and used his fist to shut the big mouths of their opponent. I think Lopez will later regret spewing all this insults.

That would not happen, there's no regret, Lopez is not a fool and he knows he is an underdog in this fight, can lose against Loma but if he can sell the fight better, he will get a good share of the revenue, that's what boxers do now, they fight for money, big money so I don't really believe a lot on what they say as for all we know it's just a marketing technique.

The split is already predetermined, Lopez is already guaranteed $ 1.x million, and there are no PPV here, that's why he was offered that big amount. Initially he has rejected it and Loma step up and agree to have his pay cut just to be able to salvage the fight. Dun sa mag rereport ng mga social media nila na binigay ni @mk4, I adjust na isama yung link ng official SEC advisory, para may weight yung kaso at mabilis na i take down to nga mga platforms na yan at nang matigil na ang pangloloko. Lalo na yung sa pinas, nasa walang pumatol at mabiktima nito.
6891  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful of new email Bitcoin scammers, read this on: September 19, 2020, 10:27:31 PM
I have seen the same case on the forum just a couple of days back. I can't recall the thread but the story was similar to you. Most probably someone from your known person trying to blackmail you to gain some BTC. Even hackers story is true but there are no benefits if you send funds, because the hacker will blackmail you always when he will need money. So let them do whatever he can do by ignoring this mail and you may file a case in your local country. So that the cyber department of your country would take action. I believe, if the scammer really had your device access then you would hack your BTC as well, then he shouldn't have written you via email.

This one: Email scam. Or the OP's email has been leaked that's why he received this kind of email. The first thing to do is ignore it and ditch that old email or yours.

Other peoples should take a lesson from here. Your pc should keep clean always and you should have confidence that your devices aren't hacked. Especially we are crypto users and we should be more careful than others.

Update your OS, installed anti-virus and always think twice before clicking any link. Hackers and criminals are everywhere so we really need to have a good security practice so that we won't fall for this trick.
6892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: September 19, 2020, 10:02:07 PM
And for the record, Lopez confirms that there will be no rematch clause so this makes it more exciting,

https://www.boxingscene.com/teofimo-lopez-no-rematch-clause-contracts-lomachenko-fight--151764

Lopez has been in the media lately saying that he has no respect to Loma etc etc. I think this will motivate Loma more to shut down big mouth of Lopez, hehehe. Lopez here is acting more like a diva and the anti-hero or just trying to get into the head of Loma, but it might back fire on him.

Haha, Lopez is just helping Top Rank advertise this fight bro and it got the attention of some celebrities. An article showing on my social media feed which shows Damian Lillard rooting for Lopez because of youth factor  Smiley.

You really had to admire Lopez, talking trash against Loma here, lol, Dame might get disappointed though.

6893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Directory on: September 19, 2020, 09:41:26 PM
Yes, we definitely find this kind of bitcoin or crypto related projects very useful. If I'm not mistaken, @mk4 has a similar projects, coinsources.io. Is this bitcoin specific though? just double check about r/Bitcoin vs r/BTC there's a lot of drama amongst those subreddits claiming who's the real BTC.

6895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First Part of ETH 2.0 Is Formally Submitted on: September 19, 2020, 12:21:44 AM
Eth 2.0 mainnet is expected to go live by November this year and according to my info mainnet will also bring the long awaited change to pos algorithm and also sharding that is expected to make eth network efficient and improve its capacity a lot.
I am all in for eth 2.0 release this year and feeling excited and bullish for it.

It's highly possible that ETH 2.0 will launch this year as promised .may be in November and the DEFi hype is helping it's part too. But the full fledge working one will take 1-2 years more

November is their target date, so what like two months from now? So still a lot of time for them to really 'perfect' this ETH 2.0 and I'm sure if this is going to be release as plan or even a slight delay this year? the altcoin market will really took off, with all the Defi and UNI or Sushi swap going on. They know, that's why they're definitely working 24x7 to stay on track and hype the price of ETH to $500 or even more.

Although less than $6 na sya ngayon pero mukang ma pupump pa to ng matindi baka umabot ng $10 or more. Smiley
6897  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Hackers Nab $16 Million Worth of BTC Through Wallet Exploit on: September 18, 2020, 11:22:56 PM

Lagi mag check and mag verify.

6899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New breed of bitcoin investors? on: September 18, 2020, 09:51:07 PM

What do you make of this survey? Are we seeing a change on how newcomers view bitcoin investment?

Nothing has change though in my opinion, what we are seeing is just a pattern. After a bullrun or even during a bullrun there will always be fresh blood going to pump the market, getting rekt, obviously exited and never comeback. But there will always be some groups that are going to replace them, just like what we are seeing today. As for the age of the new investors, doesn't mean anything as well. As long as these investors know the risk involved, whether was age, race, color, ethnicity or social standing, there will always be investors coming along to the ecosystem.
6900  Economy / Economics / Re: Enough with BITCOIN SAVE us or the economy on: September 17, 2020, 11:36:35 PM
Not just bitcoin though, but it you look at blockchain, there are many advocates of it that says it will change the landscape of the world economy. But these are not like a magic bean that will simply disappear the problems around it.

Might help though, but still people will have to realised how they are going to treat bitcoin to make significant dent on the world financials. You have to be wise and make the right decision in order to see bitcoin as life-saver.
