6901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Important crytocurrency trading rules on: April 12, 2018, 04:06:43 PM
I don't particularly agree with those rules since they seem to be really vague to me.
In my experience, the basics of a good trading are:
- Study, study, study... take a while and just observe the movement on the market. Do not use any money, just wait and look for a while.
- Learn, learn and learn... as much as you can. Every day you must read, must get information about the market, the new coins, the news surrounding the ecosystem...
- Choose wisely. Just pick three of four coins. Don't be greedy, for you have to start from the beginning!!
- Do not invest any non- expendable amount of money. Never, never.
- Be patient and continue learning. You are not going to learn to trade in a week or a month. You can try with small amounts and continue learning in the process, see what happens with your own desitions.

Everybody is different. There are not such as golden rules in trading. Besides, the appreciation one of other have of a coin can be really different, so, to me, you must know yourself before trading. What are my capacities? What are my issues?  Am I impatient? The best you know yourself, the best you will trade.
You probably will commit mistakes in the first year, so just don't ever think you have enough information. Be humble.

6902  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Points for reporting post to moderator. on: April 12, 2018, 02:34:12 PM

Wouldn't that incentivise users to spam using alts, then report their spam and receive merit? :/

Precisely. Even when I agree with the initial idea, I believe this can become a really easy way to earn merit by farming. Let me explain: for instance, I can create three new accounts. With two of them, I will be dedicated to creating spam, and with the one rested (or infinite number), I will report to the moderator my own spamming threads.
It will be really easy to earn merits, for I can create any spam I want and any reports I want with many accounts. It will be farming, anyway.

How to stop this? Well, your implementation can works if only members are allowed to report and earn merits. So you first need to become a member (10 merit points) before even having access to the "report moderator" button. Maybe it can maintain far those "reporting" farmers and maybe it will become a great system.
Anyway, I'm am sure it can be broken as well. Maybe not newbies neither Jr. Member should be allowed to report, but we all know many members are products of farming activities. So, maybe, instead of giving bad trust, we need another button, the "report member", or "report merit activity".

Even when it can have some holes, I think this is a good thing. Spam is growing like cancer, and by motivating people to search and hunt spammers can be a great desition, we must just design an efficient way to do so.
6903  Other / Meta / Re: Finally! 101 merit and 84 activity!! Celebration Post! My thoughts on merit. on: April 12, 2018, 02:25:37 PM
You rocked it, man!!
But, also, you're one in a million. This is really obvious you are a crypto lover, in the good sense. Your topic review makes anybody interested in crypto world feel proud of your efforts.
Sadly, this is really difficult to find here. Even when I totally agree with your advice about how to earn merit, few are going to understand them or even read it. Few are willing to make a research, they are only here seeking how to earn money instead of knowledge. I believe the forum has been placed as someplace where you can do easy money, and that's why we all have too many newbies with such a goal.
Anyway, people like you through light into the forum and I am really glad for you to be recompensated as you deserve.
Congrats, and thanks for all those amazing posts!!!!
6904  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Putin and Trump start a nuclear war? on: April 12, 2018, 02:18:21 PM
Both Russia and US are willing always to keep their population (and the worldwide population) highly scared. This is a traditional-manipulation implemented since the beginning of the 20th century. If you have a scared population, they will accept almost anything of your politics, even senseless expenses or some misery in determined areas of their countries.
The US looks at itself as the world rulers, the same than Russia. They are not. They can't just start a great war, at least not in their territory. Look where they fight each other: in territories as Siria, considered lower by them, and where the control of the region really matters (Siria is one of the most strategic points of oil circulation).

Honestly, I don't think they are going to start a nuclear war. This kind of politics has been having a place for almost a century by now (the so-called Cold War). And it results to be really useful for those governments having control over their own people and the worldwide. If everybody is scared of a nuclear war, they will receive all the focus, even from other countries.

Orwell style: keep the population with fear, just made up an enemy, and they will follow your leadership 'till the end; they will believe anything you say; they will accept any regulation, even when it is against their freedom...

6905  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Watch Mark Zuckerberg Testify Before Congress - FULL VIDEO Right Here on: April 11, 2018, 02:11:51 PM
It was really hard to watch all the circus without bursting into laughing....
But, even when I was with a smile, the simple fact of having this man in a court is a historical event. To me, many doubts rise instead of answers:

- Why nobody in the Senate seems to really understand how Facebook works? Maybe they should be made a previous investigation, for they all use the application, for sure. For instance, nobody asked him about the moment when you decide to erase your account. They refuse to erase it immediately and makes you wait for more than two weeks, and, if in this period of time by mistake you login again, then you will be obligated to wait much longer!! Nobody knew that?? Besides, to find it is really difficult, the access to the "deleting account tool" is really zero intuitive!

- It looks like a chat between old friends, even when some congressman and woman really attacked, they seem to do it with "love".

Mark Zuckerberg is having any punishment for stealing data or just a soft slap on the back??
6906  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is changing on: April 11, 2018, 01:51:21 PM
Jajajaj...
Oh!! This is Poetry!!!! Joyce would be jealous...

I really feel there are many boards totally and complete contaminated by this kind of shitposters. "Beginners $ Help" feels like a loop, every day the same questions about the "begging system"; "Bitcoin Discussion" sometimes is a total joke with too many people trying to look brilliant, but when you pay attention to their words all you can do is to burst out laughing.
I prefer to avoid the "Economic" because it seems full of scammers, and there is no longer interesting posts...
But, whatever, this is normal, we are too many around here.
6907  Economy / Speculation / Re: what is the relation between btc and other alt ? on: April 10, 2018, 11:31:17 PM
I suggest for you to take a look at this website: https://coinmarketcap.com/
As you can see, it is usual that, when BTC falls, everyone else follows. Just look at the graph in the right section of the page. All coins graph seems to draw the same scheme. This is because many alts are based on the Bitcoin Price.
But, if you look forward, there are exceptions. So, even when the Bitcoin price is determinant for the alt one, there are independent ones, but they are very few.
6908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which coin do you think is best for gambling? on: April 10, 2018, 11:27:03 PM
Given the increase in the Bitcoin fees, I rather prefer to gamble in ClamCoin or Dogecoin, for they transactions have almost no cost at all.
I believe the cheapest the coin is, the best the results in gambling you will have. For instance, if you win some mBTC in NItrogen, it will be very expensive to successfully withdraw your earns. On the contrary, with dogecoin the withdraw almost cost nothing.

6909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does positive thinking affect your edge in gambling on: April 10, 2018, 11:23:33 PM
Some people think that strong feeling affect the outcome of your bet. But for me its all about luck., what do you think guys.

Many times, man. But I believe it is proportional related to concentration. The most you can focus, the most you win and it is by the hand of positive thinking. If you aren't optimist about your game, or simply you don't feel in the correct mood, then you won't be able to focus and win.
6910  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A small guide about merits on: April 10, 2018, 11:20:55 PM
Your advice is very good, especially for the newbie is very easy to understand, but I think you should make your thread more interesting again, especially the distance from every sentence you are too tight so it is quite difficult to read it ... But this is a very good post, thanks for sharing knowledge ....

Thanks for the advice, I have changed it in order to become more "easy to read". Please notice I'm used to write in code html, so maybe I am not so "elegant"  Grin
6911  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should you trust crypto "influencers?" on: April 10, 2018, 11:18:09 PM
Well, the problem with many Youtubers is about the money they perceive for doing some statement.
Besides, who is giving them credibility? I mean: in this website, you can search for "credible ones", but if they mention the website, then, are they becoming credible?
The problem with influencers is related to their own name: influence. They can influence people, but few of them openly speaks about why or how are they obtaining the information or the opinion they share.
It becomes more and more problematic as much subs they have, for they have many offers to make some profitable videos. They are just like actors in a commercial, but with the difference, they don't mention their employees very often.
Nevertheless, it is easy to detect whose Youtubers are getting paid for their opinions. Well, of course, it is easy only if you are deeply into the crypto world, but, to the average population it can't be so easy, and that's where the trick resides. They can influence many people, and few go down and read the comments below the video, so it is difficult for average people to become a critic.

I've taken a look at the page you suggested and many of them are clearly influencers with a wallet full of contracts. So, no. Do not trust this.

6913  Economy / Gambling / Re: What's your favorite poker site on: April 10, 2018, 09:19:30 PM
Right now I am playing
ACR Poker for tournies and Nitrogen sports for ring games....  I was playing Betcoin but the kinda fucked me on affiliates and I want to find something better with a big playerbase.  I figure ACR is good because they are offering best tourny selection and 60 cryptocurrencies accepted...

Where do you play?

I've been playing in Nitrogen for many years, but lately, it has become kind of tricky, for they just refuse to give your money when you want to withdraw your earnings. Every time I've won something from the last months, they accused me of something or make some excuse in order to forbid me to take my cash.
Bitking.io is a really nice platform, but the freerolls seem to have ended in there. Nevertheless, it is an amazing place.
I will check out the other sites proposed in here, thanks for opening the thread.
6914  Other / Serious discussion / Comments: Facebook's Zuckerberg appears before Senate panel ... on: April 10, 2018, 08:46:00 PM
It is happening right now: Mark Zuckerberg is being asked by the Senate about the Facebook personal data issue.

Well, to me this is a historical event, where many stuff of matter is being discussed:
- The privacy of Facebook. When you open your Facebook account, there are several rules (nobody reads them, apparently) where it is specified that all the data you provide will be immediately belonging to Facebook. Even when you delete your account they still store some of your data, but to what end?
- The Facebook mobile app also asks you about having access to your phone data (contacts, ok, but also your personal call history). This is being discussed as I write these lines for, What's the point of doing so?
- The Cambridge Analytica scandal just has thrown some light upon the Facebook's lack of confidentiality. But the discuss having place right now is going much further. How can Facebook team accept the legal conditions of the Alexander Kogan's quiz, even when it was clearly breaking the Facebook "law"?

Mark Zuckerberg is clearly having a bad time in trying to persuade the Senators of the goodwill of his enterprise. But, to me, it goes really far, and I have many many questions:

- Is an enterprise as Facebook responsible for the content people publish on the platform? If I have a private message app, then can I be responsible for what kind of messenger the people sent to each other?
- Is the free of expression more important than the harm it can provoke? For instance, look at how many teenagers have committed suicide due to the cyberbullying they receive from other users. There is some kind of response from the developers?
 - If anyone is making rich by convincing people to share their personal data, can it be fraudulent in any sense?

Some previous thoughts:

- People do not read anymore. They just share whatever they want in order to get some recognition from the people surrounding. The "like" system is certainly sick, but the users and abusers of it are just as much sick as the concept itself. The people is not concerned about their own privacy or even their closed people one. So... Is it a company trouble or a social one?
- If I share anything on the internet, for sure it can be used in many ways. It is how the internet works. So, is the problem about Facebook, or this is just the tip of the iceberg and just shows how little society is prepared for this kind of platforms.

I don't use Facebook. I despise all related to the platform, but, in many ways, I believe this is a historical event. One of the biggest American entrepreneurs is on a trial for "selling data".

What do you think? I personally believe it can be a great debate about the use of the internet and the collect of data.

Nevertheless, It seems kind of ironic the US government is so against Facebook now, even when they ask you to show your social media app when you trespass their boards...
And also, all the senators questioning Zuckerbergs' platform use Facebook to their campaigns...

6915  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Is it right to kill a violent burglar? on: April 10, 2018, 05:36:39 PM
There are so many countries where a burglar can break into your house and you can't do anything. For instance, in Mexico, if they break into your house and you are inside, it will be needed for them to commit a physical aggression against you in order for you to can do anything. But, even so, police can just take you away (corrupt system).
As I know, in US you can even shot everyone who is trespassing your property, but I'm based on some friend experiences and I have no idea.

Regarding the new of course, it is legit to take action against any kind of aggression. If we look at it from the victim point of view, this old man was pushed to do something he probably didn't want to do. Even if he was found innocent by a court, what is going to happen with him now? I mean: this is a huge shock, a really shocking situation to be pushed-up to kill someone!!
Is there any kind of health system which will provide to him some kind of help? Was he injured and placed in a jail? For he was arrested, according to the bbc.

I mean: he's a victim too, he was in his house and a couple of guys just broke in.
6916  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many of you want somewhere to practice your English? on: April 10, 2018, 05:20:11 PM
It seems that most new members are complaining about the merit system, and their inability to rank up because of it. In many cases, it seems to be the result of problems with the use of English.  How many of you would be interested in a place to practice so that you could improve your posting ability here?

Few can make a difference.
I know and feel how disgusting is to try to help people and receive not even a "thanks". But here in the forum, there are some interested on growing up their skills (yes, really few), and your project, even when probably will need some time to find the right people inside, is going to be great for all us willing to improve our English Skills.
For that: Few always can make the difference. Always.

And those who are always begging, this is how you can get merits, by studying and working hard!!

I'm in!! Of course!! Thanks!
6917  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get Merits on: April 10, 2018, 04:42:57 PM

I certainly agree with this, in fact, you're the first person to respond to me in a thread I didn't create. People are too concerned with how to make money and don't stop to consider what they bring to the community. We all know that many newbies tend to go the route of pretending to be extremely knowledgeable when it's apparent they aren't. When people ask, I try to stress how important it is to not pretend like you know something and that even if you don't have the knowledge, there's still possibility for you to earn merit by bringing something to the community, whether it be additional questions that you'd like to know the answer to, or and inflection that highlights your personality, there are many valuable traits people can bring that aren't strictly knowledge based.

True, dude. This is just a symptom of how few are really following their own activity. They just seek for merit and more merit instead of having a discussion (as ours), making a point or just simply, as you've said, making bigger a question. I've seen too many times by now newbies trying to look like experts in a matter they don't even know a bit. But, whatever.
I don't know if you have seen the Jet Cash's new project about making good topics and increasing your topics and English skills. He just made a new sub-forum in here https://fittotalk.com/english-talk/index.php
I've noticed you English is really good, instead of mine, which needs more study. Maybe you can help all us non-native to improve our skills by joining the Jet Cash Project.

Jet Cash has begun a project dedicated to helping people to improve their posting skills. You can check it https://fittotalk.com/english-talk/index.php
6919  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A small guide about merits on: April 10, 2018, 04:22:27 PM
I gave you a merit for presenting your points logically, and laying them out so that readers could scan and understand them quickly.
If only other posters could use this as an example. It would make my search for posts to award with merit so much easier.

I think you are on a loser in trying to get most new members to improve their posting skills and english. I've tried a number of things, and I've just started this site to try to avoid threads being over run with spammers. - https://fittotalk.com/english-talk/index.php

Thanks, man, I've edited the post and included your website, for this, is great. I know, somehow it is pointless to try to make the people read and learn instead of begging. I've been aware of your efforts in the matter, but you are making the difference, from my point of view. I myself have learned a lot thanks to your English improve threads, despite scams are like cancer. I will follow this new website you've done. It seems amazing!! Congrats, and thanks again!
6920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help me to understand Security breach with cryptocurrency on: April 10, 2018, 02:59:43 PM
Hi guys,

I am developer. i am trying to understand crypto currencies these days how it works. As we know bitcoin is a one of good example of blockchain into market with proof of work. I am confused with the term of Security breach and how to remove while working with blockchain.

Maybe you'll find useful this article from the Bitcoin wiki https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Storing_bitcoins
Anyway, regarding the security, there are two faces: the system itself, which occurs to be secure, and the use by the people, which happens to be usually insecure. The blockchain network, per se, is almost impossible to get hacked. It should be needed a lot of money, so you can own the most part of the miners (try to imagine how much it would cost!!), in order to be able to make legit fraudulent transactions. So, the blockchain network, of course, is secure. The problem comes with the surrounding ecosystems, which lacks multifactor-authentication.

Regarding your question, I recommend for you to read this article https://stormpath.com/blog/4-challenges-multi-factor-authentication, this is about multifactor authentication and its different uses, and even discuss how difficult it is to be developed in java...
