6901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regarding Blockstream latest video on: August 15, 2017, 05:15:38 PM
This look so interesting indeed. If I got this, we can download the blockchain without internet connection to our computer but we must first buy a few tools that cost 100$ but does that include sending, receiving transactions and whatever we can currently do with an internet connection?
6902  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Withdraw BTC to USD bank on: August 15, 2017, 03:51:51 PM
I live in US and currently I am using Coinbase to withdraw my bitcoins to bank. So far I didn't have any problems. However, I was wondering if there are better exchanges with lower fees to withdraw bitcoin to USD safely?

You can try Kraken and see the fees here: https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/201893608-What-are-the-withdrawal-fees-
If that doesn't suit you either then I suggest linking your bank account to your PayPal, trade your bitcoin for preev.com + 5% for PayPal and withdraw from there directly to your bank account, that should be a good solution.
6903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Regarding Blockstream latest video on: August 15, 2017, 01:28:14 PM
I believe a lot of you guys is aware about the video that Blockstream made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbx7NAnVeGc
We still don't know what is it about but do you think we should be excited about this? Some are saying that this is a way to have bitcoin without the need of internet connection, others are saying to run nodes in space etc.

I'm not sure about you but I personally don't think it has anything to do with space, I mean doesn't that require millions, If not billions of investment? unless whatever they are going to provide will have fees and will be widely used, I don't think Its something realistic.
6904  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: August 15, 2017, 06:47:18 AM
My first post were 2 days ago, is there a limit ? Can I become jr member tomrrow ?

The activity reset happens each 14 days and during these days, you can only gain 14 activity and since you posted a couple of days ago, you already got the 14 activity (or the potential activity). Today, you will only have another 14 and that give you 28 activity which is not enough to rank up to Jr.Member. You must wait another two weeks for that.
6905  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: August 15, 2017, 06:10:20 AM
You should be able to restore your Mycelium using Electrum just fine, on the page where you type the words, click the options and check the BIP39 option:

I'm not sure If they have any other wordlist but the current one actually start with 'abandon' and has 2048 words: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/master/lib/wordlist/english.txt
6906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who's actually still selling this? It will be $5,000 - $8,000 in no time on: August 14, 2017, 04:07:29 PM
Why sell now, don't like money?  You will not feel too smart when you realize you could wait a few days and he $3,000 more for it.

SegWit opened a lot of doors and the bitcoin roadmap hold a lot of good things but I guess I'm correct when I say that your speculation is not backed by anything. We can either be realistic and say that the price is barely holding +4000$ at the moment with ups and downs or simply predict a random price increase within a few days like you did.
6907  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / An explanation for Drivechains? on: August 14, 2017, 02:42:30 PM
I read a couple of articles[1][2] regarding this Drivechains but I didn't fully understand so If you someone could simplify things, I would really appreciate it. My understanding (which could be wrong) is that could be the same thing as ERC20 token for Ethereum?
I also want to know why both Peter Todd / Luke-Jr believe that the sidechains will be insecure as stated in the first article. I believe both these people have technical background so how come they 'misunderstood' something like this.

6908  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: need bitcoin vcc which works with paypal on: August 14, 2017, 01:40:47 PM
Hello Iīm searching for cheapest virtual credit card which can be loaded with bitcoin and which can be used for paypal verification.

I currently tried advcash but paypal donīt accept it.

I will be thankful for all suggestions!

I believe that the cheapest card comes from Coinizy with only 0.5$ but I must tell you that a lot of users reported having issues with them. Apart from that, they claim on their site that their card is compatible with PayPal. If you don't want to take any risks or It didn't work for you, check the full list (A Visa is better then MasterCard): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1242788.0
6909  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 06-Aug-2017] on: August 14, 2017, 11:58:41 AM
Hey everyone, newbie here. Just one question, whats the purpose of this Signature-Ad Campaigns? The threads is so long to read.

Tnx...

The creators of these campaigns have a business to run that they want to advertise, so the purpose for it for them is to gain clients as for those who wear signatures (and that's why this thread is here) is to gain a few bucks while advertising a certain service.
6910  Other / Meta / Re: Regarding the Google Captcha added today when logging here on: August 14, 2017, 11:17:00 AM
This got added to the registration page too (+ the old captcha), It should prevent the bots from being created, or at least make it harder. A lot of sites use ReCaptcha from google and I never had issues with it personally, Its possible that you are not clicking the new captcha that appear because after you click some, they start to fade and new ones will appear.
6911  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Private key import from paper wallet into Bread Wallet not confirmed on: August 14, 2017, 10:02:32 AM
I'm not familiar with Breadwallet but If you there is a button refresh the wallet or reset the transactions/blockchain then click it and see what happens. Alternatively, you could post your address or your transaction ID so we could take a look.
6912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future Applications for Bitcoin on: August 14, 2017, 09:03:08 AM
Hospitals shouldn't be a problem as the transaction shouldn't be instant but for shopping and as mentioned above, you want to make transaction for that. Bitcoin is not suitable for these micro-payments yet, we should see the lightning network in the upcoming months though and that could solve all these issues.
6913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: give me some tips about trading?? on: August 13, 2017, 06:42:50 PM
hi I am new here..So I am start a trading in different market place.. can you give some tips about trading.now which exchanger is best for trading?

You need to cover most of the exchanges because sometimes the opportunities are not in a single platform. I'd go with Bittrex, Poloniex and probably HitBTC as well. I can tell you that the basic rule is to sell high and buy low, and that you should never sell out of fear and also never buy something that is involved is some pump and dump scheme, It always end up badly and the market could crash. It's better to invest into projects that will actually deliver something.
6914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accelerate Unconfirmed Transactions on: August 13, 2017, 05:10:50 PM
There is app made for Android by Samourai wallet that you might want to check (I have never tried it myself): https://afterburnerapp.com/ I believe they are only taking 5.99$ + miner fee for their efforts. You will need to enter your HD wallet recovery words in order to make this work for some reasons. Trust shouldn't be an issue as the project is open source.
6915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin buying by central banks on: August 13, 2017, 04:42:01 PM
I won't be selling so how they will be buying all bitcoins? this scenario is pretty much impossible for someone to own everything, having more demand in billions will simply means that the price will skyrocket and while some people will be selling, others will continue to hodl just it is right now but so not nobody get some false hopes here, the banking system is made to enslave people, using bitcoin is not an option for them and will be in total contraction with their system.
6916  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buy bitcoin from UK??? on: August 13, 2017, 03:52:06 PM
You can trade on the forums and set your own fees or try Paxful too, P2P trading is usually better because third party services take more fees. There are a lot of ATMs on the UK so you could check that too, the fees varies and sometimes there is a daily limit when you are not verified using ID and you can check Bitstamp as a last option.
6917  Economy / Exchanges / Re: May I use Poloniex public API data for my own (public) charting platform? on: August 13, 2017, 02:05:22 PM
We have a lot of bots that uses their API such as C.A.T, GunBot, LeonArdo etc. and platforms like CoinMarketCap. All of these services either offer paid services (for sale) or for free where the ads revenue help them, If there is nothing on their site explicitly saying that you can't do so then you should be fine.
6918  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex withdrawal request have completed.but I have not received eth for 4 day on: August 13, 2017, 01:11:56 PM
You can simply check your address in the blockchain, If it has a transaction with the amount you requested to withdraw then you have otherwise you don't and It's very likely that they didn't process the transaction as should be and gave you the wrong TXID, It happens with with a lot of exchanges with ether case. That being sad, you shouldn't be afraid of anything, they are a reputable exchange and they won't steal your money If the issue comes from them.
6919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has just surpassed $ 4,000 and continues to grow rapidly in the near fut on: August 13, 2017, 12:06:49 PM
It's starting to decline a little bit, I guess we will see a correction within the next a few hours. but It's only a matter of time until we see new users coming and we will go up again, everyone will be using the Lightning network for their daily purchases (coffee, groceries etc.) without the need of waiting for confirmations, that should bring a serious amount of demand.
6920  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is anyone hosting with their miners with SavageIO.com? on: August 13, 2017, 08:04:14 AM
I never heard of them personally and never seen anyone talking about them on the forums but from googling I found a post from them on Coindesk[1] (I believe this a press release made by SavageIO themselves) so you may want to watch out, cloud mining is no longer profitable and usually a scam btw.
