Hungarian Open already on it's way and Cilic chooses to enter as wild card but he is rank number 1 in the tournament. What do you guys think? Will it bring good outcome as lately he has been struggling and is out of the top ten already. For me it looks like he is looking at this tournament he rally gauge his physically and see if he can still continue or need to take a break. Or maybe take this opportunity to bring his form back. He is already through to he next round of 16 and will be facing Cuevas.
Cilic has only played 9 official matches this year and he has a negative record of 5-4. I don't know what to say about his form coming into this tournament since he's been in a poor form the whole year. He is facing Cuevas and I don't thi k he will have an easy match here especially because Cuevas won a tournament last week even though it was only a challenger but this will motivate him and it seems like he doing well on clay surfaces lately. Will be interesting to see what happens.

The only reason why I can see Cilic entering this tournament is that he most likely needs match fitness to get himself match fit for the French Open. Hopefully he does well but as we have seen, he has been in poor form so far this year. This could be his best chance to find some form and win this tournament before the French Open so lets see how he goes.

Yes, this is also what I thought. I read reports that he is somewhat nursing some injury that's why his form is very poor to say the least this year, but entering this tournament will probably give him some confidence. He is currently playing Cuevas, and it was a tough battle, winning the first set 7-5 and leading the second 5-4 with Cuevas serving. Coric on the other hand already won his match in 3 sets against Haase, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, he is the second rank in this tournament.
6902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: RichCat - the first Monopoly game in Blockchain on: April 25, 2019, 03:08:18 PM
YOPO Token! - YOPO Token is a Game Platform Coin by which players use or trade in all games. It can be always exchanged back to ETH at anytime. (1 ETH ≈ 1000 YOPO)  <---- When I saw that, I bailed out of the game.  Angry

Why do these developers have to bring in some obscure Alt coin into their games, when you have a perfect solution in Bitcoin with the Lightning Network.  Tongue

When will they learn from other people's mistakes?

Agree, I really don't understand game developers not just used bitcoin to simplify everything. I don't know, sorry but I don't have a feel of the game though. But it's good to see lots of games before build around but I would rather see Bitcoin or even Ethereum being used instead of some tokens. Comic-sans is also a turned off to me,  Grin
6903  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-25] Bitcoin Economic Activity Now 30% Higher Than At $20k Price on: April 25, 2019, 03:00:01 PM
We have never seen this kind of transaction since 2017 height. And yeah there are a lot of happening, OTC trade, LN's off and onchain transactions. Pretty much speaks that Bitcoin just hibernate and it seems it has come alive just this month alone. As far as IEO goes, it's also taking a lot  hype specially when Binance started this craze with their MultiVac and other follow suit. What's next would be scary, seeing Bitcoin hits another all-time-high and mempool is going to be clogged again.  Grin

No offense to other Indian brothers around the community, but I do not think that Satoshi himself is from India. I'm getting really tired of seeing threads about Satoshi + John McAfee. We all know that John was totally lost it, he just enjoyed being interview by media and spewing non-sense so that he can hug the limelight.
6905  Economy / Economics / Re: Forms of converting cryptocurrencies into cash on: April 25, 2019, 04:03:42 AM

Like  your country we do have our own 3rd party. Philippines has more than one but the popular is the coins.ph, they do have options to send the cash to you bank account or money transfer services. They even allow us to withdraw cardless transaction on ATMs. This company made it very convenient for us.

This one. Coins.ph really did a good job converting our Bitcoin to PHP and it's really convenient because there are lots of methods to use. You can even deposit it to your bank account. But if you don't have a bank account, you can simply exchange it using any remittance center here in the country. Of course there are fees involved, but they didn't charge that big, we are just lucky having this kind of services in the Philippines.
6906  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2019 on: April 25, 2019, 03:56:26 AM
I can't believe how ignorant some people where before 2019 and look where we are right now. History is a fickle thing and looking back we can rewrite it however we want and say that we all knew bitcoin would go up and were right all along.

I scanned some of the replies but there are few I can count of my fingers that had a good reply on this thread. He is a TA guy so I supposed it really help him in predicting the price movement. I'm not saying it's perfect but seeing how he see things play out, he must be really that good.

It is not like that of course, most of us who said bitcoin was cheap was not 100% sure but we just believed it had to go up since it went down enough and couldn't go lower even while trying to go lower so it was the most realistic approach that since it can't go down it should be going up and it did really happened but we do not have fortunetelling skills so it was just a calculated guess overall.

Yes, no one has the crystal ball here, it just an educated guess, could be hit or miss.

The people who kept on being pessimistic and kept on writing its going down for months before the increase began just wanted it to go down because that was the most profitable for them I suppose.

And we wonder if they are going to wait for the price to go down, because by the time they realized, it's gonna be late as bitcoin is already bullish.

And maybe your brother-in-law is another statistics of this, People Only Want to Buy Bitcoin *After* Price Rises, Google Data Shows. Worst, this guy, Japan’s Second-Richest Man Bet Massively on Bitcoin. He Lost $130 Million. Those people who "buy high, and sell low".  Grin

6908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SoftBank Founder Masayoshi Son Lost $130 Million on Bitcoin on: April 24, 2019, 02:53:46 PM
Oh well, I guess he is one of those irrational buyers during the December peak, everyone was calling that Bitcoin has formed a bubble already but people are still dumb and still buying and pushing the price because they think it will still go parabolic. But I'm sure he has other investments as well and will probably cover that lost in about a year. But for us mere mortals, we really need to be careful before throwing out money in a market wherein the price is very unpredictable.

So you tell me that i got Scammed ? i just Sold a Digital Good for 850 USD there

Damn, I'm sorry dude but you lost your $850 to the scammers. Why did you feel for it? You can simply ask around the forum before you do the trades. Or you can used friendly "Google" to and research prior. Let this be a expensive lessons for you to learn. There are a lot of scammers out there, and don't trust anyone with your money because transactions are irreversible.
6911  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is TA a self-fulfilling prophecy? on: April 24, 2019, 02:01:05 PM
I've long been of the opinion that technical analysis shouldn't really work with crypto markets, which are generally very thin - and for smaller coins quite easily manipulated.

Of course we need to factor out that this market is prone to manipulation. That's why anti TA says that it's not applicable specially in a thin market such as altcoins.

However a lot of people do have faith in TA, and use it to influence their trading decisions. Since it is common knowledge that some people use TA, does this then become self-fulfilling, and so lead to increased market manipulation because if for example TA says a rise is coming, bears can wait for the inevitable fomo from TA traders and then dump en masse to short the coin and force prices back lower again... and then wait for the next TA 'signal' and repeat.
What does everyone else think? Is TA in crypto self-fulfilling in this way, and does that in turn lead some traders to exploit it in a sort of meta-TA? Or is everything I've said complete nonsense? Smiley

I would say that not all the time TA works in Bitcoin market, but I guess its good if you have something to back up your decision either to sell or to buy, and not just your emotions. Although this market can be manipulated, at least a good TA will indicate that something is wrong in the ecosystem right now and it's up to you to make that 'logical' decision and not just base on your feeling or hunch (which, unfortunately, most of us do.)
6912  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance: Congratulations To Their Team On A Major Success Story on: April 24, 2019, 01:52:20 PM
Obviously, Binance has set the bar really high as far as what crypto platform should be in the future. Their competitors are just following their lead and that is why they can't overtake Binance. I wonder though who's the man behind all innovations they doing, it is CZ idea's alone. Yes, I'm sure they will continue to introduce lots of development for crypto sphere.

Who are the nearest competitors to Binance?

What are their near-future plans?

Before it was Coinbase, Bitfinex Bitstamp and even Kraken in 2017. I speculate that time that Binance's volume is around 10% but surges up to 50% in 2018-2019. https://techcrunch.com/2019/04/17/coinbase-launches-in-11-countries-with-crypto-to-crypto-conversions-only/. And since Binance started this whole IEO hype, lots of exchanges are also following that path. And with Binance DEX, they really leave the competition behind.
6913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks $5,600 As New Highs Are Achieved For 2019 on: April 24, 2019, 01:00:17 PM
Everytime the mempool gets full, it starts correcting:

https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,2w

It's maddening that after all this time it's still not fixed

Obviously, it's clogging because transactions (buying/selling) also spiked.

Many speculate this is the start of a bull run in the market but it is still too soon to tell because what news was there to back this up?
Usually to have it sustain and hold this upward trend there has been some good news in the cryptospace right before it happens.
This was the same when it reached its all time high but this time what news was there? I havent seen anything of significant importance to mark this as a strong bull run like it was last year.

Of course, sooner or later we will see some corrections along the way, there's nothing to worry about as it's on the 'overbought zone', and as a result people started to sell right now. We can say that we are still in the bull-run though, maybe at the end of the week we will see the price going to $5600-$6000. I read that people are also categorizing bull-runs right now, so I might say that we are "mildly" in the bullish zone.
6914  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-20]Coinbase Launches Crypto-to-Crypto Trading Services in 11 Countries on: April 24, 2019, 12:52:28 PM
Love to see that finally, my country is on that lists and I think it's good in for the ecosystem. I think they really need to step up as Binance is really 'eating' them up as far as competition goes. For sure KYC will be mandated here, are people willing to submit? That is another question. What I like though is that more competition mean good for crypto enthusiast in the long run.
6915  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto Investors: Are You Laundering Money? on: April 24, 2019, 12:42:24 PM

The only way to sell off your stash is via illegal means – in other words, by becoming a money launderer yourself.

LOL, I don't get it, why do you need to go to illegal means if you have work your ass off to earn that money in legal ways? So for me this is bull-shit, you can break it down into small quantity and not liquidate huge amounts and to stay away from the radar. You can do full verification, KYC/AML and then you are done. I don't know what people complicate things. Although one advantage I have is that I'm in a country wherein crypto is very much welcome and I haven't had any problems converting it to fiat. But if I do? I will still go to the legit channels to be able to cash it out and no need to go to illegal means.
6916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every Cryptocurrency Can Be Hacked in Just a Few Seconds on: April 24, 2019, 12:30:23 PM
LOL, This is just pure rubbish, can be hacked in matter of seconds? And yes this has been put into debates years ago and no one can really tell us if quantum can really break blockchain technology. This article is just for click-bait and promote Ray Ram Thanni Hcash.
6917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alvarez vs Jacobs on: April 24, 2019, 12:24:40 PM
I usually like the "under dog" to carry the day because it makes the fight a little tougher. I think my bet would go to Jacobs, he is a heavy puncher, with a lot of confidence might surprise Alvarez and his supporters.

I agree, I don't understand why people are writing off Daniel Jacobs here. I think this is a real test of Canelo Alvarez because Jacobs is a legitimate champion here. I think there will be some movements in the odds and Jacob could close that gap once we got closer to the fight date. If Jacobs wanted to win, he should go for the KO/TKO, he can rely his chances to the judges hands. Jacobs needs to move, fend off Canelo's vaunted body attacks, which for me is is susceptible as he is taller than Canelo, in any case I'm expecting this to be a really good fight.
6918  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Zaif cryptocurrency exchange loses $60 million in recent hack on: April 24, 2019, 03:29:35 AM
Zaif was bought by a company named Fisco... which is now under investigation from the Japanese authorities. They wanna make sure that they are "adhering to customer protection and anti-money laundering regulations."

https://www.ethnews.com/japanese-officials-investigate-2-crypto-exchanges

I think FSA is just doing it's routine check on these exchanges as they step up their regulations and doing some hand-on approach. There are news that Japan to Provide G20 With Solution for Crypto Regulation. So I guess this is a good thing as they wanted to protect us in the long run. And do hope that due to their being involved more in exchanges, investors will be confident enough to pour their money again in the ecosystem, win-win situation for us.

Hmm. This is very interesting at the same time weird news coming from Poland. Anyway, as far as I know they are against crypto, but I'm not surprised that they love the technology behind, just like other countries who have hard stance against Bitcoin, but secretly taking advantage of Blockchain Technology.

Fognini is one of those players where talent was never in question but his work rate and mind certainly were. He is actually one of the players which will get better and better as they age simply because with age comes wisdom/maturity. His marriage to Flavia Penetta probably helped as well, she managed to win RG and probably nobody would call her a very talented or top player. She certanly had some advice to give him on the topic of maximizing his playing potential.

Yeah, I totally forgot that he married another Italian tennis player, Penetta. Good double players during her prime and I'm sure Fabio having a family did something good for him. Fognini was not shy, attacking umpires, and had several meltdowns in the court himself, he also had some bad things to say about the young generations of players specially when organizers gives them preferential treatment. Anyways, that is past already and we do hope he already change and be another name in the clay tournament.
