My advice for everybody but the most astute daytraders now:

Buy as many bitcoins as you can, regardless of the price or timing. The price and timing will be secondary as the next upleg commences, and commences it will, once there is anything that you can do with bitcoins.

I bought 2,000,000mBTC in September-October 2012. At times I was down 15%. Do you think that now I would give a thought about the exact price or timing? I would, had I not bought the coins.

Everyone who holds anything else as investment except bitcoins has diversified to the detriment of their financial interest.

The total communications ban (although I see it was necessary considering my health) was very difficult to take mentally and I picked up a habit of chain-smoking cigars (almost the only thing allowed for me to do during the reset my mind). I think it is certainly possible for it not to happen (in which case this would be a lame year of anything between 500-3000% growth   ) but considering:
1. bitcoin adoption rates even now,
2. and the spread of information rate,
3. and the ease of developing Bitcoin-services,
4. and the superiority of bitcoin over all the competitors
5. and the upstartness of altcoins etc etc

Everything points to me a violent upmove once the profit-taking consolidation ends.

We have about 4 hours of raw live footage from the bold and the beautiful (smartly dressed man and girls) in a five-star country retreat (Haikko Manor) talking about BITCOIN. We can make anything between 30 second to 30-minute movie with ease, with the footage and the editor we already have. Voice will naturally be separate from video, since most of the footage is in Finnish and the final document will be in English.

Anyone scriptmaker? Lets make it here in this thread! Finally some fun, the people are ungeekish and the general theory of bitcoin is there. Not to mention the about 50/50 sex ratio.

Report on the conference

It is now about one month since conference started, and there has not been official report concerning it. I have taken care of my own businesses with a tad greater intensity than before, and not had time to concern this.

The venue was very nice old deciduous park. Rooms in manor house were recentry renovated, me and my family were actually first guests of our respective suites since renovation. The senior hosts and delegates, the secretariat, and the visiting artist lived Manor House, so it was actually a minority who lived in the spa hotel wing.

Food was very good: we had 3 dinners; opening dinner, Friday dinner and Romanov Gala Dinner (sat). Others had 3 courses + wine, Romanov was 5 courses + 4 wines. Part of the wines were not included, since we did not want to intoxigate the guests, also wine was about EUR 14 per glass there. The lunches were informal, and many took atvantage of the nearby Porvoo (20k town in walking distance). For the ones overnighting in Manor House, a 5-course breakfast with wine was served every day. This could be medium sparkling, goose liver, whitefish tatar, river crab on caviar mayo, and 2 cheeses with jam.  

We needed to leave early though, for the security concerns of sauna were not mitigated by moving the valuables to room #30 and locking the door out of their system (disable the door from all staff keycards, which never happened). After 2 breaches to that door, I ordered us out of there. Now we are in the process of settling the matter with the hotel.

We are in the "early/pricing" stage of an exponentially growing (later: S-growing) phenomenon. If everything goes as it has done in several bubbles before, the great bubble will form when 1-2% of the population had adopted the technology. For Bitcoin, this means about 50 million adapters that actually use bitcoin for something. This "something" has so far been lagging, though.

I withdrew my prediction for $300 for 2013, but this does not mean that I was sure it will not happen. In 2014 it will happen for sure. Or some 1.5-sigma event happens.

The great moves have been able to push the price up roughly by an order of magnitude. We need 4 such moves and the rest of this year is not long enough time. April-June 2014 is now my target.

Current price I would just buy as much as I can.

To me, it seems that Bitcoin is resting on the 6mo-exp trendline with low volume, and $.12 is the new $0.005.

There is not much to do than to hold (holding = buy bitcoins with everything that you can spare).

It is becoming unlikely that we'll see $300 this year.

2. SUSPENSION OF ALL ACTIVITIES OF THE RPIETILA SUPERNODE

Rpietila supernode will be dissolved effective immediately. "From now one, everybody smokes his own cigars". It is still possible to continue spending my money that I have given to your personal possession, according to my previous orders, but I will require the accounts later. There is a parable about this in the bible. Also all bitcoins, to which I have authorized access, may still be used.

As a rule, if you make money using my money, you may keep it. If you lose my money while trying to make more money, I will deal with it later.

Nobody is authorized to pay any bills (etc.) of Melkisedek Oy, any taxes (etc.) due to the government of Finland, or any claims from Haikko. I will attend to these personally when I return.


3. REACTIVATION OF RPIETILA SUPERNODE

Rpietila supernode may be reactivated as follows: Rpietila summons a general supernode meeting. The invitation must provably be sent to the following people 168 hours prior to the scheduled opening time of the meeting (number of votes in parentheses): Paul (9), Erki (, Frank (7), Jaakko (7), Iiro (7), Vesa (7), Lauri (6), Mikko (5), Roni (5), Heikki (4), Jochen (3), Taimar (3). After the minimum of 72 hours of uninterrupted deliberation (no other people except rpietila's staff with his permission may enter the area designated as secure), the participants present may vote for the reactivation of the supernode. Rpietila has no vote, but can veto the affirmative decision of the others (and they may set up a supernode themselves). Rpietila may deny partial attendance to the summit, it is all or nothing. The participants receive no compensation whatsoever, except room and board. Minimum 3 people except rpietila must be present to activate the supernode.

If 30 days elapses from the moment that rpietila has last made personal physical contact to minimum 3 of the above people simultaneously, earlier orders are in force. It does not matter what rpietila's condition is, as long as the others may enter and exit at will.

I want to thank my organization for the Haikko summit. Despite all the difficulties we had, the summit was an undeniable success in most counts. Bitcoins were compromised big time, but it was never all of the bitcoins. (With bitcoins, you can do almost the same with 1 million as you can do with 10 million.) My personal function was compromised due to my quest for security. I still do not know why it was not delivered according to the orders. Perhaps I will understand some day. Meanwhile we have other businesses to mind.

The delegation to the San Jose consists of two delegates, plus their local staff:

Roni Blomberg, Ambassador-at-Large. Roni is a full time Bitcoin broker in my organization and lives in a hotel of his choice (too busy to find out sorry). He is travelling single.

Annina Rusila, Personal Secretary. Annina is helping Roni to achieve the mission. She is travelling single. For the reason that she is in close cooperation with Roni, though, she is not allowed to smoke during the conference (except if/when Roni sends her to solitary mission).

They do not have a schedule, and will generally not do much if anything at all during the stay. If you want to be honored by their presence, book them via +1 415 825 2510. They also organize things. As a rule, they will contact and invite whomever they please, according to the orders given by me. I will not be reachable at all so their authority extends quite far, as you will see.


Their mission is to do the bolded part. Everything else I have proved already, and slim chance that I would be required to run the Bitcoin network alone ever, even though I could.

There is no limit to the spending they may authorise to succeed in the mission.

Ah, more drama - if you prefer to think that way. The meeting with the doctor ended in a mutual agreement that I am too manic to continue posting on this forum. As is obvious, harsh measures are needed to prevent me from doing it. For some reason they did not want to just prohibit it. I think it is a part of the care, though. The degrees of freedom must indeed be reduced, to achieve the calm submission to the realities of the outside world. Amen. I submit.

They promised that I can continue wearing my own clothes, and will be able to sleep. The other basic necessities of my life, fresh air, spring water and my diet, were expressly denied to me in the form that I am accustomed of consuming them. However I will still be able to breathe inside the house, plus drink and eat reasonably well. So my lifestyle, which was originally fit for a king, is still fit for a travelling salesman.

I will have to eat medication, though. But all the time during my rise from a failed businessman in 2003 to what I am now in 2013, I did take my pills regularly. It did not prevent me from becoming what I am. As long as I do eat them, I will probably not be able to see the revelation of Bitcoin going to $300 per mBTC. But who cares, since my absence cannot in any way prevent it from doing just that, and I already had a difficult time with seeing so many truths where not many of the others saw them!

A small minus is that I still was not given the opportunity to sort out my bitcoins. So the owners of Haikko cannot know conclusively, how much I will ask from them in damages. It will probably be no more than 100,000 euros, since it does not seem that any intentional theft of bitcoins occurred. They will have the time to draft an explanation why my security was not delivered as promised. Then I will accept it and we will be friends. I will be honored to pay for every bottle of champagne that we uncorked, plus all the goose liver that we ate. The facility bill will probably have to adjusted; we did accept their tender for a summit with security, but that was not delivered.

So from 15:00 I will be denied communication, and the prevention is to take away my communication equipment. So you can continue sending me PM, skype, sms, and email. But I will not read them but perhaps earliest on Monday. I got the impression that I will be able to sort out my communication requests then if I behave reasonably well in the meantime.

The thread is locked, because it is too difficult to organize anyone to moderate it. I will establish different forums of communication anyway later on, the diary will not continue in its current form for several months, after all it is only 5 weeks old now.

Since it is a duty of any reputable secret service, to hinder your master from going to the United States, and therefore I am sure he took the fact into account by only sending a detachment (like I did, albeit only after my hospitalization), perhaps he can send a third-in-command to meet my operations manager in Europe?

The motivation behind my humble proposal is as follows: Due to my restful quietness, I am unable to receive people, whom I don't know previously, as guests, and surely he is also taking the time of this conference as personal rest, due to his second-in-command being in another continent. So what if we also send our thirds to meet each other, and therefore establish a third-level diplomatic contact in some peaceful European country. I think it is obvious to both me and your master that, despite the mutual willingness to believe in the nonexistence of the other, the reality can be bent only by so much, and that limit has been reasonably reached by now.

I can send him alone or with a driver-cum-securityguy (you choose the size of the delegation) to any location in Europe in 24 hours if your master cares to accept my lowly overture.

Meanwhile we can continue minding our own business in calm peacefulness, unburdened by the people with whom we spend so much time that it really does wonders to send them all away for a few days, keeping only the staff necessary to take care of our minimum personal needs.

I was there when it was still not possible to buy from Mt.Gox with more than $1000 per day without influencing the price by 10%+, for which reason I regarded it as a children's playground (and later paid 500kEUR+ for my mistake)

I do not have permission to disclose my exact location (or anything at all really) concerning the matters of my person. But I will find out today, which of the matters are classified. Anyway I still need rest after the Haikko fiasco, and in no way I will be going anywhere at all for several days, so I can as well try to make the most out of it by taking the rest I need.

As for safety, I do not know any official classification of this place, but my gut feeling is that in order for anyone (which means, anyone) to take me out of here alive, it requires an operation that cannot be planned in secret, and the lead time is minimum 48 hours. If dead, it can be achieved relatively quickly, but there will be considerable (100,000+) collateral damage if the success needs to be achieved at a greater than 75% probability.

Naturally most c&c structures in the world are not capable of doing even that. I know of one, and I already know that they may not like me, so I am not really welcome in their sphere of peaceful influence. Here I can continue minding my own business in relative comfort. Currently my greatest annoyance is the smell of cigarette ash in the only place where I am allowed to breathe fresh air, and I will tell you when I have neutralized the problem.
