6961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: October 30, 2018, 03:01:55 AM
There was lot of hype for bullet proofs feature's implementation and if not everyone but most people were expecting its impact on XMR's price. This activation immediate benefit has shown by reduce in withdrawal fees from exchanges. Monero once again has shown to be best than many others. Market should show uptrend anytime without prior alert so hold on tight as speculative phase is approaching fast.

Really? Where were these most people at? We in this thread have figured it was priced in since it was held back from the previous fork. I didn't see any Hype here even though it is one of the biggest improvements in years.

The markets are irrational now with this institutional fuckery so don't be surprised that crap is valued higher than actual utilitarian Tech.

Post-Bulletproof tx fees are fantastic for users but I was wondering; has the block reward changed to balance this out for miners? xmr is new stable coin, as i think.

Miners gonna mine, the fee's are neglishable.

wtf, is that guy Zooko ... I thought he was fluffypony's transfusion associate, the dude looks 'high' on cholesterol and blood sugars ... I assumed he must be the monero dev team's blood boy

I will buy the 2 nest with 2 acorn 215+  if you don't want it.  Assuming it works and runs okay.

if i decide to sell youll get 1st dibs. but honestly im into the fpga thing more for education than expected profit. although that sure would be nice.

Yeah I cut all my Mining down a lot.

12 x 1080tis vs 40
And 4 Vegas 56s

1 m10
3 s9is
1 l3+

That is a total of well under 10kwatts.

I spend 1/3 the kwatts I did last fall.

wow thats a big drop from what i remember you running.

ive been coasting along with the same gear for around a year now. with the bear market asics and gpu seem to be a dead end at the moment as far as buying new gear with an expectation of any decent roi timeframe. guess we got spoiled in the past bull runs with 3 month rois.

fpga accelerated gpu mining seems like it may be a way out for those of us running gpus, especially older paid off gear that barely breaks even after power at the moment. only time (and shipping gear in the hands of regular miners) will tell of course. i figure its a decent bet. 50/50 maybe. well, in crypto 50/50 is pretty good odds anyway.

Best bet is to convert those GPUs into BTC and Hodl.

No as I just explained they will always profit due to my power deals.

I did not say that to you, but we can make a side bet if you want on who is correct.
6963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: October 30, 2018, 02:04:51 AM
The first private Zetheron bitstream for the VU9P FPGA series has now been released to a select group of about 50 miners.  This bitstream is currently making over $20 per day for FPGA and up to $26 per day on good days.  It was hacked together in just 5 days to take advantage of a coin/market opportunity and is currently rather annoying to run in terms of a complicated start up procedure.  I am working on a cleaner version with live voltage control and variable clock speed, it might be offered for sale if the coins are still profitable in a couple of weeks.

I will also build a CVP-13 version which makes 50% more than the VCU1525/BCU1525 version.

This algorithm can only support around 350 BCU1525 FPGA's.  I have another algorithm in progress which can support about 3000 cards at $15/day, it should be available within 3-4 weeks.  It is not yet decided if it will be a public or private launch.  Even private launches are available to anyone who has hardware, the reason is to try to prevent coins from forking.  FPGA's can still follow the fork but it is big time waster.

Hows that cryponight v8 working out?

Forced to take a Don't Rape People quiz. This is what outrages you lot these days? Shee-it. Try turning on the news for a few minutes.

I'm pretty confident that if people stop raping other people at UTS, then you won't have to take a rape quiz anymore.

Its like the millennials at my work that I have to send to "getting along with your coworkers training" and "don't fuck each other at the Xmas party training".  Some people need to have it spelt out.  Preferably 48 hours before the Xmas party so they can still remember it.

But that's just like my opinion, man.

Given that roach is still posting here, I am going to have to assume he wasn't the Pennsylvania synagogue shooter.

As our society keeps moving left, it keeps redefining rape. Now, if the woman drinks a half glass of wine before sex, it's rape. If she doesn't sign a notarized form saying "I consent to having sexual intercourse with Hairy Maclairy." it's rape.
Simple. Don't have sex with left-wing women and the problem will disappear within a few generations without any other forms of intervention, and much faster in reality. Mentally they're still kids at best too, so not much longer and consensual intercourse with them will be equivalent to the rape of a minor. Stay safe. (Not sure to what extent I'm memeing here.)

But those are the ones that do it in other than missionary!

I doubt overpopulation will be a real issue.

I KNOW there is alot of Cross-over there! Cheesy

A bigger issue is people with the foresight of a goldfish procreating endlessly.

QFT and many of them are in power.

Finally... we know who Satoshi really is!

oh man, I look away for an hour and we have an EPIC PUMP!!!

Shit I missed it, was it more than .0001%? Lambo's!

I believe the value of hats may be following a logarithmic regression curve, like the price of bitcoin.

This is far more scientific than my analysis which is still SOMA.

I bid $8751 unless the following logic within the brackets is an acceptable bid.

{
If this is an acceptable entry then
I bid 1 dollar higher or lower than Ludwig Von whichever is the larger spread
else If Ludwig Von does not bid I bid 1 dollar higher or lower than Karartma1
else If Karartma1 does not bid I agree with SportbetMasters sentiments and bid 8751.
}

No this has nothing to do with bracketing people in. Cheesy

Not sure if there is a thread like this before, but I made a "Stake your Monero address" thread where people can sign a message from your personal Monero wallet for future account verification and other things as a security measure for your Bitcointalk accounts.

I invite everyone to come check it out and sign your main favorite hot wallet Smiley

I used to have some coins that I lost my wallet I still remember at the start of the monero there was a distribution of coins giving 25 coins to everyone

Your memory is not like it used to be , that's for sure

Me too, I don't remember the airdrop. Damn maybe I misplaced those coins too! Cheesy

It seems that xmr have found their strong support. recently, around the coin goes a lot of rumors, and not always very good. I closely follow the team and the coin itself.

Hah, I have been feeling the last week that I need to put some lowball offers in but had not been at my home system until the other day. But when I saw this post I said to myself "Shit I better get those bids in before I miss them getting filled" and I just got them in before I crashed last night and some of them are filled now! Nice. Cheesy
Thanks for the reminder. Smiley

This is a great sideways market for those of us that need to accumulate. I have 5 times more right now than I had last year at this time (and am probably underwater) but I keep cost averaging every week/month as much as I can.

Most eth nodes are on one cloud provider thing.

Exactly.  The ETH blockchain is so broken no one can synch anymore.  So they have to rely on a centralised provider (Infura).  Effectively the entire ETH network is running light clients.

Is it True?

So in the past month i got really heavily invested in monero for the long hodl, because I really believe in this project, but after reading some reddit FUD I became a bit concerned. In the monero cons thread someone mentioned that competition like zcash for example might be able to easily outpace monero as we close to global adoption, simply because of the difference in the funding structure of the two coins, citing that projects like zcash have big money behind them instead of relying solely on the donations from the community.

Could someone alleviate my concerns about this? I intend to hodl, but if this concern is legit I might have to take this into account.

Zcashes trend line was predicted in this thread when it was launched and that trend has held true to that prediction and it will not change. It will continue to slowly fade away. DYOR and just read the threads from it's launch, everything forecasted has come to pass and then marvel at the beauty of Zooko wearing a monero labs t-shirt.

^^^--- What does that tell you?

BTW looking at that coffee table it looks like lines were being done with a bowie knife, or maybe making some fake ID's Or both! Smiley

Fuck Polo. owned by Goldman Ballsacks now.

I recently sold my Monroe because I no longer see prospects. Even if Monero grows to the last peak, it will be a twofold increase. I think these tools are more accessible to scroll to another coin that can give us x5

A curious situation. The best known lower bound for the minimal length of superpermutations was proved by an anonymous user of a wiki mainly devoted to anime.

ELI5 translation?

Anon solves long standing mathematical puzzle on 4 chan.  Now mathematical papers must cite / credit 4 chan as authorative source.

Holy shit that just made me laugh my friggin ass off! and I have never read 4chan, but from the references I've read it must be going up those stuckup tightwad asses sideways!

I just had to walk away from the blackjack table.

It was terrifying and confusing.

HAH, I've met some guys that can gamble high as fuck and kill it. I am not one of them!
