6981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin need to be a currency? on: August 23, 2019, 06:43:39 AM
The concept was to create an alternate currency for everyone controlled by no one. Bitcoins's primary job was to make life simple for a common man when he is looking to transfer fiat from one location to another over the internet. To do so Bitcoin needed a Fiat value and for this it needed investment. Without it being a currency there will not be any investment.

This means Bitcoin not only has to become a good payment system but also needs to behave as an alternative currency to surpass Fiat and create its own value. At the moment it is considered more a commodity and compared with gold. Slowly the whole concept is changing to something else. This will lead to more HODLing and less trading.
6982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Bitcoin at a nuclear power station in Ukraine on: August 23, 2019, 06:23:36 AM
I am sure employees of the power plant are also involved. I have a question here are these facilities not in the control of government-run forces and the government? I mean how were these guys able to set up a mining rig there? This is a serious issue and I am sure these guys will go behind bars for a long time.

Such a situation demonstrates how vulnerable are Nuclear power plants are in Ukraine. Any terrorist can get access to them if such kind of security is provided there.
6983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are banks scared of crypto on: August 23, 2019, 06:16:47 AM
Not only Banks but almost all financial institutions and most of the Governments around the world fear Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as they do not have the power to control them.

Some financial institutions and banks have already hinted that they will be adopting to Blockchain tech but, I doubt it will work as for the Governments of few countries they are already planning to start their own cryptocurrency, but who will like to use a centralized cryptocurrency?
6984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: August 23, 2019, 05:51:16 AM
There are three reasons that I can come up with

1. Highest Fiat Value
2. The highest number of Pairs.
3. High Demand and Less supply.

Although I believe this won't last longer than another 10 years if some significant changes are not made in Bitcoin. I understand that lightning network can bring those changes, but we have to wait and watch as there are big and better projects that are already active and are also in high demand.
6985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest Austrian Telecommunication Provider Now Accepts Bitcoin Payments on: August 22, 2019, 08:40:58 AM
The Biggest Austrian Telecommunication Provider A1 Now Accepts Bitcoin Payments. In cooperation with Salamantex, A1 now accepts crypto payments on the 7 locations:

Vienna (Mitte The Mall)
Vienna (Kärntnerstrasse)
Salzburg (Europark)
Linz (Landstraße)
Krems (Bühl center)
Graz (Herrengasse)
Innsbruck (Kaufhaus Tyrol)

https://twitter.com/salamantex/status/1163435472758218753?s=20
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJmZzB7BoBI

The more these companies allow Bitcoin, the fast will be the adoption. It is good news for the crypto community in Australia. Now you guys are being backed by A1. I think in future we can expect more big companies from Australia following the same path as A1
6986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is by no Means a Japanese on: August 22, 2019, 04:30:42 AM
Forget about what his wiki page is saying or whatever we have read about him. Reading through Satoshi's post on this forum, anyone with common sense and good understanding of English language could see clearly that the Bitcoin founder is by no means a Japanese. I spent the whole day reading through them, and here are some outstanding posts he made prior to his disappearance. The perfect use of English is telling and undeniable.

I do not think the Asian community in this forum would love to read your post @dantee1. This post of your sounds more racist than trying to establish the identity of an individual or a group that has been using a pseudo name to hide their identity for more than 10 years now.

Your post simply degrades anyone in this forum who's, first language is not English. From where did you come up with such a conclusion?

Such a low-level analysis is what degrading the quality of this forum.

6987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto's reveal is a complete epic fail? on: August 20, 2019, 05:09:40 PM
Least bothered and least interested.

Why these amazing individuals are trying their level best to be the founder of Bitcoin? Fame and money will only come when you are the one who did create the most promising cryptocurrency of the world.

It is simply a waste of time and money. They always get caught in the end. No one can imitate the founder.

To all those who still think they can get away with this, STOP! before its too late.
6988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 01:04:58 PM
Your family is important than any other thing in this life. Whatever you earn is for them and yourself. So, if you had to sell Bitcoin for them you had to. There is nothing wrong about thinking about them first.

Do remember that what goes around always comes back around. This time you might have missed the opportunity but I am sure you will get more in the future.

Carry on Hard work and fate will help you in the future.

6990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning bitcoin is hard but i still keep fighting on: August 18, 2019, 05:49:49 AM
Bitcoin has been great throughout its entire existence. It gives us extra income and helped us achieve our financial goals, but that will not come easy.

TRADING. The main source of getting an income would be trading. The name already sounds hard, what more would be the application. Countless loss but still have patience on trying again. I continue fighting.

HODLING. The laziest of them all. All you need to do is to buy a definite amount and wait for it to get higher. The only enemy is the long term patience and greedyness. Its tiring but i continue fighting.

MINING. Well, i skipped this because i dont mine and ai dont have any resources to do it.

CAMPAIGNS. This thing becomes rare these days and if they have, theere are only few people who get listed. Most probably those with higher ranks or higher merit achievement.

I always woke up having 20 posts deleted almost everyday and all the comments ive posted removed because of off-topic reasons. I always end up not having a minimimum post count on my campaign and seems like my account are the only account who is monitored. Its more frustrating i guess. I feel like they do not want me to tell my opinion or something.

Signature campaigns arent that much profitable not like last year. Even i dont meet the post count every week, i still try my best to give more intellectual opinion as possible. I continue fighting

Signature campaigns are getting deteriorated day by day Not only they pay less now they are also controlled by Bounty managers who most of the time have a Jr member/ copper member rank  If you check their profiles most of them are very fresh to this forum.

The inconsistent and spammy posts by certain high ranking members is another reason why the success rate of the signature campaign has gone down so much Lately I have come across High ranking members who have been posting spammy posts quiet frequently and because of them, the Signature campaign got terminated in between.

Moderators have been doing there job consistently but, it is also our responsibility to report such spammy post to them. At least it will help in improving the quality of the forum.
6991  Economy / Gambling / Re: I going to investment in wink.org what do you think about it? on: August 17, 2019, 12:46:34 PM
I did visit the website and did not find any information about investment opportunities. So I assume you know the owner or the employee of the website. I, therefore do not understand the reason for creating this post. What do you want us to tell about this shit website? I have never heard about them and I do not intend to as I do not like Tron.

Your post is a Clickbait. Avoid such Scamming habits or might get banned.
6992  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you had $100 in what would you invest? on: August 17, 2019, 10:10:56 AM
If you meant cryptocurrency then I will divide $100 into two parts and invest $50 this month and $50 next month both in Bitcoin. I will never invest everything in one go.

Otherwise, I will use this same amount to buy some books or invest it to learn something new, to increase my earning potential.
6993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why we should measure bitcoin in duration(time) rather fiat. on: August 17, 2019, 06:02:59 AM
I liked the calculation bit but, how many people will be willing to accept their whole salary in Bitcoin? They do need to pay their mortgage and card payment through Fiat.

Employers can give them the option to pay part of their salary into Bitcoin. Somewhat similar to Food coupons. I am sure then more and more employees will be willing to accept Bitcoin as part of their salary.

6994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Lightning Network save bitcoin? on: August 17, 2019, 05:28:15 AM
The main problem was always scalability. Lightning Network has to a certain extent solved it. If you have created a product which was meant to compete with the global payment networks then you had to come out with a solution.

There is so much more to be done. But, things are moving in the right direction. In a few years, with Lightning Network, I am sure Bitcoin will become the best global payment network.
6995  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will BAKKT affect future of bitcoin? on: August 17, 2019, 05:21:27 AM
I never thought that BAKKT will in anyways do any good for the crypto community. More regulation means more curb and control over cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. The perception of Bitcoin as an investment option/commodity was not created by them. Unfortunately, we did it. We thought the more people think Bitcoin as an Investment option should increase its mass adoption. We were able to increase the mass adoption but in a negative way.

The sole concept was to replace Fiat with a global decentralized currency controlled by everyone. I do not think this will be possible in the near future.
6996  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good app to buy and sell on: August 16, 2019, 04:50:53 AM
If you are looking for an app on the iPhone in order to trade cryptocurrency in Canada then why not use Coinsquare. It is the best option available and they have an app for both android and IOS.

Ledger Nano is a hardware crypto wallet. You can store and trade crypto using this wallet. It is far much secure than any other wallet available in the market. Good Choice.
6997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first country in the world. Officially salary in cryptocurrency! on: August 15, 2019, 04:39:17 AM
In New Zealand, from September 1, people will be able to get paid in cryptocurrency!  Smiley

This permission applies only to employees, the established salary will be paid only at a fixed rate, but this does not apply to premiums and dividends. Freelancers and self-employed workers were not included in the permit.

The tax authorities of this country have set the condition that the chosen digital money will be pegged to one of the paper currencies (New Zealand dollar). So that this salary in cryptocurrency can be converted into a standard form of payment, and also vice versa, for paying taxes. Therefore, the employer needs to pay salaries to employees, only liquid cryptocurrency, tied to the rate of fiat money.

Would you like to get paid in  cryptocurrency? Wink

Bold and Innovative move by the Government of NZ. But, the real question arises How many employees will want to get paid in cryptos. Banks will still ask for Fiat and not cryptocurrency for Mortgage payments, Credit card payments, and Loan payments. I am also not sure whether local retailers are ready to accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment.

The success of this policy depends completely on the financial ecosystem. I am sure it is still based on Fiat. Until it gets updated, I do not foresee a success.
6998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understand this - Bitcoin is not a commodity it is a working product on: August 15, 2019, 04:21:44 AM
When will they understand Bitcoin is not a quick "Make me Rich" product. I have been following this forum for more than a month and most of the time Users here are talking about the price or are trying to find out when the price will reach a new all time high.

If you understand Bitcoin and the concept, it was never meant to be a commodity. It was meant to be and will always be the replacement of FIAT currency and Financial dependence. It is was never never meant to become a quick way to become Rich.

It simply meant Financial Freedom from those individuals who control our present finance. Who controls them I do not know?

It meant freedom from controlled money and to ease of live.

Completely agree with you. Bitcoin is considered more like a commodity and less like a replacement to Fiat. Traders and newbies are considering it a quick way to make more Fiat and become rich. Whereas the original concept was to use it as an alternative form of currency to transfer money and slowly replace it with Fiat.
