6461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel more lucky than usual when it's New Year's. on: December 28, 2019, 01:54:45 AM
This has been happening with me for 5 years now. Every new year my mind says "I will be lucky this year" but my luck always takes a U turn. No, I do not believe in New Year Luck. It has never favoured me and I do think it will be the same in future years.
6462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Bet Or Gamble Before New Year, Or On The New Year on: December 28, 2019, 01:25:24 AM
As there are lot of special offers that are being run on different websites, I will be utilising them first. So my intentions are to play as much as I can before the new year. Next year it will be business as usual for me.
6463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 28, 2019, 12:49:25 AM
What's with this new controversy started by shoaib akhtar?

Is he looking for an opportunity to work in India or why was the religion card played when the discussion was related to bowling?

Why are these so called gentelmen trying to politicise the game. There are drawbacks to every game but that does not mean you come out after so many years now.

I think this was a deliberate attempt by the retired fast bowler to be in the limelight.

What do you guys think?
6464  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs ETH Vs XRP Vs LTC which one will you invest and why in 2020? on: December 27, 2019, 09:05:59 PM
I personally feel these are the four best coins available for investment in 2020.

My first preference will always be Bitcoin and in 2020 I plan to accumulate more every moth systematically. 50 perecent of my total investment will be into Bitcoin, the reason is halving.

Since I expect the price of Bitcoin to rise in 2020, I also expect the same for ETH , XRP and LTC. I will divide the rest of 50 perecent investment equally to these three.

I am not planning to invest everything in one go. I will invest every month to get different positions at different price point. What do you guys thinks?

Do you also agree with the choice?
I would not expect the prices of alts to rise along with Bitcoin. Bitcoin gets projects, investors, and attention. Altcoins used to have that stuff, but they disappointed people, so there does not seem to be a reason to give them a second chance. Okay, Ethereum is alright, I guess, but the latter two don't look to me like they're gonna make it. I'd invest in Bitcoin and Bitcoin only. I mean, I have minor investments in LTC, IOTA, XRP, TRX and perhaps a couple of smaller coins I don't even remember since 2017, and I'm not selling them, since it does not make any sense to me, but I'm not buying any alts anymore.

My personal favorite is Bitcoin and I am going to invest 50 percent of my total investment into it. But, I am also trying to diversify my portfolio and the coins that I have listed have been promising until now. I am still not sure about XRP, there are others that I might look into.
6465  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs ETH Vs XRP Vs LTC which one will you invest and why in 2020? on: December 27, 2019, 03:49:49 PM
My first choice is Bitcoin. I will invest my 50% both in Bitcoin and ETH. Besides i would like to hold some LTC , XLM and EOS. But i'm not interested in XRP.

Of course you can ignore XRP and invest in other suitable coins or tokens. I selected XRP based on the historical data. If you check the last Bull run of 2017  and the one that happened earlier this year the price of XRP went high to a significant amount.

As the third biggest cryptocurrency according to market cap the chance of this coin surging next year is pretty high.
6466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube admits error over Bitcoin video purge on: December 27, 2019, 03:03:15 PM
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-50924494

Quote
YouTube has reinstated hundreds of crypto-currency related channels after admitting it had removed them "in error".

A wave of YouTubers received notifications that their videos were in breach of the platform's terms of service earlier this week.

The move appeared to target smaller channels and publishers that focused on Bitcoin and crypto-currency content.

The Google-owned video sharing platform has since apologised for the mistake.

YouTube said in a statement that it had "made the wrong call" and confirmed that any content mistakenly removed would be restored.

"With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call," it said.

"When it's brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it."

It said there had been no changes to its polices, and insisted there would be "no penalty" to any channels that were affected by the incident.

Despite the apologies, I still think bitcoin video enthusiasts should migrate to decentralised video hosting sites like D tube: https://d.tube/

Correct!
Content creators should realise this can happen again and YouTube might not apologize the next time. There are other decentralised platforms that can be used by them to make money without such stupidity.
6467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs ETH Vs XRP Vs LTC which one will you invest and why in 2020? on: December 27, 2019, 01:52:40 PM
Here's my take:

Ignore Ripple (XRP). It's a centralised coin, it's been trying to break into the remittances market (taking a stake in Moneygram) but is struggling to make a break through. It's going nowhere.

Ethereum has also been struggling ever since the regulators clamped down on ICOs. Previously you had to buy ETH in order to participate in the ICO, but the demand has now dissapeared as ICOs have stopped being issued. There is nothing supporting the price, and in addition the developers are making the coin so complicated (with plans to move to proof of stake) that it's a nuisance for exchanges etc to maintain the support.

Both bitcoin and litecoin have a good future as they are straightforward to use. Litecoin is now on most exchanges and crucially you can now trade it against fiat in most currencies.

So of the four coins you listed, I'd go for BTC and LTC.

That is a very interesting analysis.

I agree about XRP the biggest issue with it is centralization. But, centralized economics can be fruitful if transparency is maintained. In regards to ETH I do agree that the demand has decreased but, the market share is still being maintained by the team. If they are able to convert it POS the demand will again surge. It is a wait and watch strategy that needs to be applied.
6468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs ETH Vs XRP Vs LTC which one will invest and why in 2020? on: December 27, 2019, 12:00:37 PM
My first choice will be bitcoin.I don’t no explain need for bitcoin.but I will replace XRP to BNB.BNB is known for binance, bnb will be next eth, they are doing very well in last 24months.Same as you in ETH and LTC.Even I am trying to collect few ETH now.

BNB has the potential to reach $50 easily in a Bull market, I think it is a good choice. But, the only drawback is that it fully depends on the performance of Binance exchange. If anything goes wrong with Binance it will tank. Whereas XRP is a safe bet. It will not reach $50 or more in price but has the potential to reach $1 in a Bull market.

6470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Options Market is Losing Confidence in Bitcoin,This Could Spell Trouble for 2020 on: December 27, 2019, 03:44:25 AM
Bitcoin (BTC) has been able to incur some tempered bullishness today after a multi-day period of hovering around its support at $7,200. Today’s slight gains have come about in the face of a strong down trend, however, which could mean that these gains will ultimately prove to be fleeting and followed by further downside.

One factor that analysts are pointing to as support for the idea that the macro-bear trend is still far from being over is the fact that the options market is losing faith in BTC, which – in combination with other factors – could spell trouble for the crypto in the coming months.

Bitcoin is still trading sideways.

If Bitcoin breaks the resistant price point of $7500 then only it can be termed as gain, which might happens next year in the month of January. Till then expect nothing from the markets.
6471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why YouTube Bans Bitcoin &Crypto Videos? on: December 26, 2019, 12:10:31 PM
This is what happens when you are using a centralized platform. Talking about cryptocurrency and not using a decentralised platform.

Google, Facebook and Twitter are kings in their domain, they have the right to delete and destroy anyone using their platform. That what Google did now.

Not one of them have favoured cryptocurrency in the past nor will they do in the future.

6474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Purposes to play gambling, except being rich on: December 24, 2019, 03:24:50 AM
I am very curious to know the names of individuals who became rich after gambling and are still rich. It would be awesome if someone can create a list of these rich gamblers.

I personally have not heard about anyone getting rich. I have heard a lot of stories and also read it on how gambling destroyed an individual and his family.

Though this question has been asked millions of time, I am still going ahead and replying. Purpose of Gambling is sheer entertainment and not becoming rich. It is the uncertainty that attracts me.
6475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Xmas promo pool scam on: December 24, 2019, 01:57:28 AM
After so many SCAMS people are still investing in SCAM projects makes me question who are these stupid investors? Why do people believe that cryptocurrency can make them rich within a few days.

For scammers cryptocurrency is a safe heaven now law no rules. They keep coming back and no one can do anything.
6476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmex Research Reveals That investors have lost about 98% Investment in IEOs. on: December 24, 2019, 01:51:11 AM
Investing in a startup is very risky!

IEO's gave that opportunity through an exchange removing the possibility of a scam. But, most of these IEO's did not even achieve there targets and were straight away listed on an exchange. This caused them to tank after listing. This is one of the reasons why investors lost money.

Exchanges should have never allowed those listing. Reputation of these exchanges are now questionable?
6477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 24, 2019, 01:44:44 AM
What is this mini IPL, is this a tournament for U21 or much younger players or is it about women's cricket
They are planning to bring back the Champions League T20 where the best teams from all the franchise cricket will face to find out the best champion and right now we have many franchise T20 tournament around the world and it would be fun to see the best teams battling out but the main problem will be some of these players are playing in multiple franchise and how they will sort that out will be the biggest question.

I do no think it is a good idea. All ready players are very busy nowdays, you cannot ask more from them. Cricket has become business to mint money. Let them rest for few months before these guys start again.

How will you enjoy a game or a tournament with tired players?
6478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin prices dropped so low a few days ago؟ on: December 24, 2019, 01:40:27 AM
Few whales decided to sell Bitcoin in order to create panic.

Small investors started panicking and they started selling their Bitcoin.

Whales knew this would happen, so they again invested into Bitcoin at a discounted price.

This is how whales trade and make profits.

This is one of the reason why Bitcoin price went down.
