6983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: August 11, 2015, 03:10:21 PM
Confirmation time.

It takes couple of hours for me.

if you are using the standard fee that your wallet suggest so that you have high priority, then you usualy shouldn't be waiting hours for confirmation.
it will confirm in 10 min max unless there is a spam attack.
6984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you think is the world’s bitcoin center? on: August 11, 2015, 03:08:12 PM
I think the world's Bitcoin center is in China. Probably, since Chinese been using Bitcoins a lot. My opinion, though. Please correct me if I'm wrong  Roll Eyes

i don't think if China is the bitcoin center in the world right now but it definitely has the potential of becoming the center because of all the mining they are doing and also the amount of investment that Chinese have made into bitcoin over the years.
6985  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Where can I find the full Electrum word dictionary? on: August 11, 2015, 01:32:23 PM
I've seen this asked before but only found mnemonic.py

I may be being very dumb (likely) but I just want to find a list of all the mnemonic words. Please help.

why are you looking for them? are you trying to do dome sort of brute forcing to find random wallets?
6986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: August 11, 2015, 11:57:57 AM
the only reason I can think of is 'Fast'

just 1 click then you know your result.

Fast for you to lose i guess? Im pretty sure most people dont understand the math behind it and they just fall into the gamblers fallacy, otherwise there is really no point in playing dice or for the matter any other casino game, at least some of the others can be fun

i agree other gambling sites like casinos can be fun to play in and some of them are skill based and not 100% luck like how dice sites are.
people chose dice because it is the easiest way and does not need any experience or reading a full page on how the game works Cheesy
6987  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kind of soccer bets? on: August 11, 2015, 11:55:29 AM
i like the idea of the 1 vs 1 gambling especially in sports. i chose First goal as an option but i think the winner is also a good choice to add.
6988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: August 11, 2015, 11:50:46 AM
I recommend Bitcoin to everyone I know, but most just ignore it, very few pursue it at all Sad
Yeah, im recommend to everyone too, they are interested, but I am still confused where to start to earn bitcoin, while they not understand about bitcoin

earn bitcoin is not to hard, it's like earn fiat for your work or your skills, once bitcoin became mainstream earn it will be more easy.
For the moment i suggest you to work, get paid in $/£/€ and convert a part of it in magic BTC

be careful and don't be greedy i mean you should invest a portion of your salary into bitcoin that you are comfortable with and don't exchange all of your salary into bitcoin.
this way you are not going to have a lot of stress as the price moves up or down.
6989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you think is the world’s bitcoin center? on: August 11, 2015, 11:47:01 AM
i have heard that Canada was doing some groundbreaking work on bitcoin scene but i didn't follow the news so much afterwards. you can check it out if you like.
6990  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain "Authorization required . Please check your e-mail ." on: August 11, 2015, 11:41:13 AM

the problem you are describing is a good feature of blockchain.info and is called 2 factor authentication
if you are afraid of your email provider move to some popular and more reliable ones like gmail and dont forget to set a strong password for your email.
also email is not the only option you have, you can choose SMS and receive the 2fa code via your cell phone instead of email

2FA over email and/or SMS isn't as secure as it could be. In the case of email, it's not really two-factor (knowledge and possession), but two of the same factor (knowledge). SMS isn't necessarily secure in all cases. Use an OTP token such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or a Yubikey.

i can see what you mean about Email not being that safe and i forgot about the Google Authenticator,...
but what about SMS, why do you think it is not secure in all cases? unless my phone is stolen it is as safe as it can be.
6991  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what do you think about xapo.com on: August 11, 2015, 11:38:15 AM
if you want my opinion, i don't like them. they seem to be legit but my problem is not with their legitimacy.
my problem is that you don't have access to your private keys so in any case that they decide to run away or even block your account , all your bitcoins will be lost forever in their hands.

so in final they act like a bitcoin-bank or something similar? if u don't own the private key, you don't own bitcoins

you own the bitcoin but you have to rely on them (a third party) to be able to use your bitcoins. which means you don't have complete control that you can have when using for example bitcoin-core.
6992  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NewBee - How to turn my real money into bitcoin so i can purchase things online on: August 11, 2015, 11:35:54 AM
whatever you do, after buying bitcoin move them to a secure wallet and do not store them online. for example if you bought from coinbase do not keep it there and move it to a more secure wallet like and offline wallet or paper wallet.

6994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: B for Bitcoin on: August 11, 2015, 11:23:34 AM
I assume all of you have heard about the latest Google news. Google is now a company under the big company named Alphabet whose CEO is Larry Page. And... The domain to Alphabet is not the typical .com domain, it's a .xyz domain - abc.xyz. Looking at their homepage, I assume they are going to have a list of companies from A to Z. Let's imagine if Bitcoin is going to be part of the ABC on the homepage*.  How would it affect the Bitcoin community?

*Bitcoin may decentralized but there is lot of Bitcoin company which is centralized and start with the letter 'b' - BitPay for example.

i don't quite understand how listing bitcoin in a huge list with a lot of other names on it can have any effect at all on bitcoin.
it would be like saying bitcoin is on wikipedia so it is so huge for bitcoin!!
6995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: August 11, 2015, 11:20:01 AM
Also you can earn from advertisements by creating a website, i'm thinking of creating a faucet site.
Yeah good idea, advertisement like bitmedia can pay 0.0003 ++  per click, its large,
But faucet site need capital, and if the visitors rarely click on ads on your site, you're probably going to lose?
what you mean by lose? losing your coins or losing your coins that you can get? and can i ask you the 0.0003+ is that bitcoin or satoshi?

He means that creating faucet isn't profitable nowadays because claimers rarely clicking ads and it's hassle to promote a new faucet today. The investment made for making a faucet will have a hard time to ROI.

nobody has ever clicked on any ads on any of the faucets so far or at least a very small number click on them, and the ads don't pay you per click. the payment if per impression instead.

6997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHICH WEBSITE PAY BITCOINS on: August 10, 2015, 02:41:21 PM
there is no website that currently does anything like this that you are asking. although you might find individuals that would pay you to write them articles, but you have to look for them here or on reddit are good places to look.
6998  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maximum price bitcoin 2015 on: August 10, 2015, 02:33:10 PM
i don't think we are going to see any major change in the bitcoin market until the end of this year unless some huge news comes out of nowhere to change everything.
so i guess the price would be around the same level ($300-350) by the end of 2015
6999  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Important Please Do not Click on FASTMINER link on: August 10, 2015, 02:23:01 PM
thanks for the warning.
it is always a good practice not to click on any random links, no matter what they are offering. this way you will always stay as safe as possible.
and in some cases you can always use a virtual machine to check them out.
7000  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: im new here hope someone can help earning BTC on: August 10, 2015, 02:19:07 PM
if you don't have any skills that are useful online or are computer related, then you have better chance of making a living through doing any other job like working in a sandwich shop.

if you have any of those skills give a list of them here so that we can help you more on where you can find appropriate jobs for them.
