6981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I BOUGHT INS AT $20 AND ITS $3.5 on: January 30, 2018, 05:09:06 PM
I bought INS when it had just been listed on Binance 1 hour after and it kept going down, but my friend advised me to hodl, i feel very frustrated man, Has anyone went through this before ?

Welcome to crypto trading. Why did you bought those coins though? Did you make a proper research to see if this coin has a bright future?

Its call dumping, investors selling their coins to take profits and its really painful to see your investment going down during this condition. You can't do anything at this point except to hold otherwise you will just suffer a lost.

Yes, everyone has been in this situation before. This is not normal to crypto market. That's why you will hear members preaching here not to panic and keep calm.
6982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this stall in the cryptomarket temporary? on: January 26, 2018, 11:37:54 PM
Its frustrating to see such a steady stall in the crypto market post January. Seems like any price change (increase/decrease) is happening at snail pace. Any hope that this market will pick up soon in the following months?

Of course everyone is really frustrated to see the prices stuck at $11K. However, this is just the beginning of the year, you just need to keep calm. This bearish sentiments is just another test to all of us. With bitcoin's track record in recovering from all the crash, no need to worry at all. January has shows that its a month where bitcoin is somewhat bearish (2016 / 2017).

It will last for another 2 weeks until mid-february Chinese new year, after which vast amounts of fiat will flow back in from Asian markets.

For me it will start at the beginning of February leading to the Chinese Lunar year.

If you ever traded stocks the phase is actually 10 times slower. Just be patient, you cannot expect the market to be on sideways forever and  to be honest even though the price action of the market right now is sideways it is still moving and there is still a lot of opportunities to earn profit, I am pretty sure swing traders are earning a lot. There are also altcoins right now that are going up you should check it out as well.

for sure those who swing the wave will gain more profits. And perhaps to avoid regrets i think much better to wait until the price pump gradually which is it tends to soar and there's chances that the price will never back down after a months.  Or buy some alts and hold while the other coins is not stable.

HODLing, We can't really put emphasize on it already. We should look at it the the bright side. Just buy in this dips and then wait for the price pump and if you want to take profits then you can dump it. Instead of selling it today and lose your potential profit.
6983  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this sideways price action killing you like it is me? on: January 26, 2018, 11:06:42 PM
I've been watching the price hover around $11k for what seems like an eternity... I'm sure we're all wondering is it going to boom soon or go further bearish? Well I've been researching and once this CME futures contract expires on Jan. 26, 2018 we will see some price action for sure mark my words, what's your opinion will it boom up to around $20k or shoot down to around $8k? I'm bullish, Bitcoin to the moon! At least until it busts, we shall see.

We are sort of stuck at that price and its really frustrated to see that we are not making any headway on a direction that we wanted to see bitcoin go. There are a lot of speculation that when the future contracts ends, we will see another bull run but it looks like we are not really getting there.

I'm sure that we can get and pass $20K but it will not be so fast as we expected it to be. I doubt that it will go down to $8K though, investors are just waiting, observing and see what will be the best time to enter the market. So if it fall to $10K, those who have been waiting will suddenly jump and take that opportunity.
6984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of hacked Japanese exchange on market on: January 26, 2018, 10:43:09 PM
As sad and as bad as a hack is, it hopefully teaches the others in the crypto space that they need to do more to keep their users safe. Hopefully we end up with much securer trading sites.

But it did not affect their users, the platform was hacked and they only lost money for that.

Probably only a few users lost their money, but they need to understand that they can not keep their money on an exchange, that is the most risky thing that you can do, specially on cryptos.

The money lost is around 500 million. That's a lot of money to begin with. And I'm sure that this will have a negative effec on Coincheck.

And with that amount lost, almost all of the users lost their money on that exchange. I'm sure that they know that its not safe to keep a lot of money in a exchange because in a event of an hack, like we have seen today, your funds will be stolen.

I really do hope that it will not cause a big stir in the crypto's, otherwise it will be a long and lasting effect, not as big as the Mt. Gox hack but investors will be skeptics to trade and invest once more.
6985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 is the year of Blockchain on: January 26, 2018, 10:24:55 PM
Blockchain is one of the latest technology that will sweep the world. It will shape how banking systems, (yes the institutions that keeps attacking bitcoin) will get the full benefits of it. There are banks that have been implement it because it can really save them a lot of time which will result on more productivity.

I think the importance and the popularity of the blockchain technology is growing day by day. In my opinion it is one of the biggest inventions of our era and also I think its popularity will continue rising in the 2018 too.

It's being applied AFAIK, but this 2018 more and more industries will find blockchain as the best solutions to their problem that's why they are going to used it to replace their old legacy systems not only banks but other sectors like in pharma. Its' truly one of the most innovative technology.
6986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Bitcoin? Will it become a mainstream of currency. on: January 26, 2018, 07:34:24 PM
Future of online currency will be a mainstream or it's popularity will wane?

When you say mainstream, I'm assuming that everyone, regardless of any nationality / countries, we are still too far from it. Maybe in the future like 5-10 years will be see in becoming mainstream. However, there are a lot of issues going on, like governments having strict regulations, so its really hard to say for certain.

But I still think that crypto or bitcoin are really popular nowadays with all the media hype around it. But again, its really boils down to regulation and the whole scaling drama. Right now many have been reporting about the high cost of every transaction and its not suitable for them anymore. But if the problem could be resolved, I think that we can gain the trust of the public again and it will be just a matter of time before it will be mass adopted in the future. Let's see how everything turns out specially when they release LN.
6987  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: why the price of crypto seems so volatile right now ??? on: January 26, 2018, 06:51:26 PM

Since January seems cryptocurrency market seems down I do not understand why? what's going on now?

Here is my personal view on why crypto has been very volatile lately.

1. Government around the world is on full attack on crypto.
2. South Korea, who has been a hot bed on crypto suddenly announced that they will ban it (FUD). Causing the price to crash as well.
3. Bitcoin future contracts. CME and CBOE seems to have a negative effect, specially when they are about to expire.
4. China wants to stay relevant. They have been releasing statements lately that is not clear which resulted in massive FUD.

So with that said, we can't really took off as the market is bearish and the price is going nowhere. There's a lot of bearish sentiments, that's why investors are indecisive, its like they are playing the waiting game.
6988  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coin Fee Info (BTC/ETH) 💰 💰 💰 on: January 26, 2018, 06:24:23 PM
You mean like this site https://bitcoinfees.earn.com or https://estimatefee.com for bitcoin, and this site https://ethgasstation.info for ethereum?

LOL bro, you nailed it. That's the only websites you need to bookmark if you want to learn how much fees you needed for bitcoin and ethereum. I don't think that a bot or something is needed.

This app is interesting, but for me the most precise and easy is what has become the standard on the web MEW (for ETH).
For me a little more expensive is not a problem as long as tokens / coins are transferred quickly because at certain times we need the speed and timeliness to transact.

I suggest to go to https://ethgasstation.info as posted above if you are using MEW wallet so that you can sent your transaction immediately. MEW allows dynamic fees to be set, and that website can guide you how much you are willing to spend, no need to be expensive in ETH.
6989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is crypto gonna blow up? on: January 26, 2018, 05:39:17 PM
I sincerely believe in the adoption of cryptocurrency, but I thought that crypto would be way more popular by now. Honestly I am pretty suprised that we didn't hit a trillion market cap by now. I know there are a lot of factors working against crypto atm (FUD, Futurest, Scams etc.) but I still think that crypto can be greater than it is right now. So why do you guys think hasn't blown up or do you even think that it's gonna blow up more than it already has?

We still have a lot of leg room to be honest. It's just we started with the wrong foot this year. Governments around the world are really tightening everything crypto related, that's why investors are skeptic and reluctant to pour cash in the ecosystem.

I also thought that we are going to hit 1 trillion, but we need to wait. The market is very volatile that a single fakes news will make a lot of casuals push the sell button. But I positive that we will regain everything along Q2 of this year and we may hit the 1 trillion before the end of the year.
6990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Regulation Must Be International on: January 25, 2018, 10:38:04 PM
It doesn't make sense to have a "universal crypto regulation". Each government has its own Central Banks or governing body regarding regulations. Japan has its own body, So does South Korea. And they are very different. We can't really force one government to comply.

I do not think that rigid regulation is a good thing at all.
It seems that banks do not really like what is happening now and they will certainly somehow lobby their interests. I'm really looking forward to the day when people will just be allowed to do what they like and stop poking their nose into other people's business.

They have been on the offensive since bitcoin is gaining popularity. They are being threaten by it. I'm sure that they have their hands lobbying governments, specially coming from EU countries. They are putting pressure, it was even mentioned that they Germany and France if I'm not mistaken is leading a discussion about it on G20 summit meeting.
6991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Meditating for HODL strategy? on: January 25, 2018, 08:12:36 PM
Have you ever tried to meditate to get more results?

What you do mean? You used meditation to control our emotions not to dump bitcoin during crash? Are you serious?

You don't need to do that, you just HODL and check the price once in while and if you see that the price is going down then you just have to control yourself. No need to do something specially. I guess you do panic that's why you want to "pray" that a miracle happen and bitcoin suddenly increase. It doesn't work that way.

Like I said, just check the price not that often so that you won't be affected to much. Or much better if you are going to check it next day, so that it will reduce your anxiety.
6992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leave full time office job to trade crypto? on: January 24, 2018, 10:59:23 PM
I just quit my office job to have full time in crypto world. I split my time of day to work manything: doing bounty campains, researching good crypto to invest, trading 3 - 4 times per week (not day trading) and may be next time i'll  learn about mining.
Anyone who has been off work like me can share your experiences?

Are you serious man? I'm sorry but that's one bad decision you take. Crypto trading is not very easy, takes year to practice the craft to be successful. Why not have a stable office job and then do your trading after work? Doesn't sounds good? Do you have enough savings to cover just in case you are not earning as you expected?

I can't share anything because I have other things to do besides crypto. But I have read numerous thread around the community saying that they do quit their day job as well to concentrate and dedicate their time on crypto. But being successful is another story.

6993  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Bloodbath.. on: January 24, 2018, 08:47:59 PM
Be prepared the market could go down to $8K anytime soon.
Be very very careful.

Or it can go to the moon tomorrow. The market is so volatile right now that we can't say where the price could go. I don't have any problem with it going to 8K, another good time to buy at that low price. However, I can't what factors will make the price to go that low because we all know that everyone is waiting to get their hands once the price goes below $10K.

Those experets are from the banks right ? Like Fargo or Dimon ? I don't even trust a wrod from them. They're massive stupid .

I wouldn't consider them experts. They are bankers trying to discredit what bitcoin has established. And they are not just stupid but very fearful because they are afraid that they will become obsolete when bitcoin takes over.
6994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM WILL WORTH $10000 on: January 24, 2018, 06:27:54 PM
Should I buy lots of Ethereum now and sell later in the future when the price rises like BitCoin did?

Well that how's successful investors do. "Buy low, sell high", don't know why you are asking this kind of questions.

ethereum is one of the coins with a very good degree of stability and I believe that the price of ethereum will increase in the middle of this year. everyone will start to be surprised to see the price later

I wouldn't be surprise at all. Ethereum has a technology that can back up its name. We just hit a wall because we know that Bitcoin and Ethereum price are somewhat connected. But when bitcoin picks up, I'm very sure that ethereum will go up as well. But $5K will be the top price for this year. $10K is not possible. If it hits $10K, what will be the price of bitcoin then?
6995  Economy / Speculation / Re: CME contracts expire and the BITCOIN price..? on: January 24, 2018, 05:56:33 PM
so the information that CME and CBOE contract expire effect to BTC price is not true ..?

When the first bitcoin future contracts expires on January 17 (Cboe), the price of bitcoin is $10,991. Which where we are right now, $11,134, give or take. And after Cboe contract expires, the price of bitcoin somewhat recovered above $11-$12,500.

CME contracts will expire in the next couple of days, so if we're going to based on that facts, we could see bitcoin rebounded as well but we don't know if it will go to another rally or the price will go back to $10K-$11K range.

Let's see how it goes though, its gonna be interesting to see bitcoin rally and start another bullrun.
6996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still believe in ICO ? on: January 24, 2018, 05:09:31 PM
There are two main factors that make it appear as if ICOs are no longer profitable:
1. Way too many ICOs pop up every day. Some are scam, most of them are rubbish. But there are still lots of good ICOs out there. I don't think there are less successful projects now. It's just there are so many others which are not.
2. Most people think that a successful token will alwaya go 10x-100x within a few weeks after the listing. However, in many cases it takes way longer before the token explodes. People look for quick money and if that doesn't happen fast enough they treat the project as unsuccessful even though it might not be the case.

I gotta disagree! There are still plenty of successful projects, you just have to turn on your quality filters and make your own research prior to investing.

Yes, there are still a lot of ICO that will be come out and be successful projects. The problem is that is hard to filters which one is really trusted and which one is a scam. There were like 2-3 ICO that I love to invest back in October-November, and 1 of them turn out to be scam at the end.

ICO are a good way to earn lots of money, but if you don't do your homework and investigate then you better stay away. And always remember that bitcoin and crypto are not really a quick rich scheme as other has pictured it.
6997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bubble Burst ? on: January 23, 2018, 09:10:25 PM
If history is anything to go by, the tulip bubble burst in 1600 is different from what we are seeing in the crypto currency. And yes, we have seen lots of opinion about bitcoin is in a bubble or not, but are there indication that we are in a bubble? There is no well-accepted model that suggests a fair. value of bitcoin before we can say that it has been burst.

"Does your barber or your granny talk to you about their latest investment in BTC/Ethereum/privacy coins 'because they're the future'?"
If answer one day will be yes - then there is a bubble and end is near.

Lol mate, you made me laugh. Granny and crypto's in one sentence, couldn't been better.  Grin
6998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The END is NEAR! on: January 23, 2018, 06:58:03 PM
Yes, the END of cheap, great quality crypto is NEAR.

Once Amazon.com adopts crypto, the masses will fully awaken, and will come pouring in. Get your crypto now, my timeline says in February Amazon will launch something MAJOR, and this article supports my conclusion:

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-01-22/could-amazon-be-gearing-cryptocurrency-exchanges

Once the largest American online retailer fully supports crypto, the FUD will no longer be as effective in tanking the markets.... you will never again see a time to buy such great quality crypto.

Isn't it they shoot down the roar of the public for them to accept bitcoin as mode of payment? I guess they just keep quiet about it because they are working behind to see if its really feasible. At the height of the rumor, bitcoin is around $14K-$17K, maybe they are considering it now because the price is cheap.

I have to agree that it this is true, it will have a effect on the market significantly. Gonna be win-win for both. Crypto lovers will get more then buy it at Amazon. It will also set precedence to other online giant store to accept bitcoin. Let's see how it goes, I can hear the herd from afar once Amazon started to accept it in the future.
6999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not rush to enter the game on: January 23, 2018, 05:42:34 PM
We've entered the "Buy zone" but do not rush, we will have plenty of time to buy unless there is a sudden dip, which can be countered by a sudden pump.
Other than that, this correction isn't over yet. Just like we have plenty of time to sell near the top, we will have plenty of time to buy near the bottom.

So take your time, and enjoy the down days, just as much as you enjoy the positive days. It is all trading and learning, we are here to look for opportunities and profit all the way.

Today's lessons, this correction lessons are going to be very useful for our future trades. This will definitely make us stronger, and the entire cryptocurrency market as well.

Next bull run we go to 1.5 Trillions. That's my new aim.

Thank you for your support.

Namaste.

But this kind of opportunity comes like once in 3 months or so. So it's really hard to pass this kind of opening being given  to us by the market. Because the next correction price will become so high that it could be $20K, the price that we all have been waiting for. Are there casual investors willing to pop $20K for a bitcoin? I don't know.

But I like the attitude though, I might not have the chance to buy bitcoin in the next correction. But I will remain bullish about it and take this sweet time to buy and accumulate as much as I can before the door closes.

1.5T you say? How about 2T to end the year? Let's see how it goes.
7000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market correction on: January 23, 2018, 04:48:53 PM
Now that the market has started to make a big adjustment, bitcoin is down nearly 100% from $20,000.
Other altcoins have fallen even more, and if the bear market comes, I think most of them will die.

WTF are you talking about? if bitcoin is down 100%, then the price should be literally 0 by now. Need to check you math dude.

Would there be a big correction happening in the near future, to shake out those weak coins Huh

Of course there will be another correction coming, its inevitable, just the question of when its gonna happen. It always appears when the price is moving to a unprecedented level. Like what we have been seeing, bitcoin grows significantly to $19K, so this correction should have been expected. It could have happen last year as well, but people keeps buying and there are a lot of positive news like the CME and CBOE bitcoin future contract offerings.

But with so much negatives in the last couple of weeks, I wasn't surprised at all that we have seen 2 market corrections so far. Just to continue to Hodl though and wait till bitcoin settles in and makes a comeback.
