6981  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we teach children to have businessman mentality or be successful employee on: May 27, 2018, 04:36:53 AM
The businessman mentality is something unique.Only a minority of the people can have such mentality.
It requires strong work ethic, huge willpower, ability to take risks and never give up,good social skills, etc.
I don`t think that most of those skills can be trained.Anyway, the children should learn ro value the money. They sohuld learn how to properly manage their money(when they become adults) and how to invest.
6982  Economy / Speculation / Re: Still think it can hit 20k !! be optimistic on: May 27, 2018, 04:31:34 AM
We all believe in the future of bitcoin,so there's no need to read such articles.
This guy is kinda wrong about eth.Blaming ethereum for all the scammy ICOs is a completely wrong logic.
It's like blaming BTC for all the BTC scams online and for all the criminals, who are using it for payments.
All the scammy ICOs won`t stop the ethereum price to go up,the ethereum whales will stop the ETH growth.
6983  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Volume of BTC dropped even when the Price is Discounted one! on: May 26, 2018, 11:37:47 AM
Perhaps the lower trading volume means that more people decided to hold their bitcoins, because of the lower market price. When the price is going down, but the trading volume is high, this is panic selling. Now,the price is decreasing, but there is no panic selling, which is a good sign.
6984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Irish authority published its new cryptocurrency taxation guidance. on: May 26, 2018, 11:29:36 AM
I think those who are into cryptocurrency, that is living in Ireland will now move to a different country, it is true thay taxes helps build bridges and structures, but a social responsibilty, I doubt it, creation of taxes was made way back even before the romans took over, this is just collecting money from the poor to make the rich get richer, and if we started to pay taxes, what is the sense of using decentralized currency if we are just going to give it away to the government, and there is no assurance that they will only take coins for what they are worth, if they decided that they will take an equivalent of .01 btc from you, at today's value, no one would agree, and why would they give out their names and all their assets, where will be the anonymity?

The Irish traders won`t move to a different country. They will move their crypto funds to more "secret" places online or offline,in order to avoid taxation. You are right about the taxes and inequality.I really doubt that any crypto whale is paying taxes for his wealth.
6985  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-26] Mark Carney: BoE Remains Open to Possibility of Central Bank Crypto on: May 26, 2018, 11:24:47 AM
Speaking on the future of central banking, Mark Carney says the primary role of banks is maintain trust in money. As for cryptocurrencies, a Bank of England-backed coin is, for now, not being seriously considered because the current volatility inherent in the coins prevent them from being a secure medium of exchange. Full article on NewsBTC

The whole idea of a central bank crypto is totally pointless.Do they want to create a crypto british pound?
What`s the point? The crypto version will be almost the same as the digital fiat version of the british pound.
I wonder what kind of blockchain will they use for a central bank cryptocurrency?
6986  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can reduce the risk of your portfolio on: May 26, 2018, 06:14:30 AM
You are wrong about bitcoin being non-correlated to any other asset.
Bitcoin is correlated to the US dollar. That`s why the the current BTC price is down. The US dollar is increasing it`s value to resist the higher oil prices.Anyway, you are right about the modern protfolio theory.
If you have only 100% bonds, the inflation will eat all the interest gains.Having 20% stocks lowers that risk.
6987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US criminal investigators bitcoin manipulators. on: May 26, 2018, 06:08:59 AM
Investigating market manipulations is something good. Why do people here think that it's something bad?
Do you want the whales to dictate the price and do whatever they want to get easy profits, while the small traders keep losing their investments?
I really want the BTC futures market to be closed, due to the future contracts price manipulations. This will boost the btc price.
6988  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: didn't get my bitcoin from binance on: May 25, 2018, 12:12:59 PM
hello guys, i've sent my btc from binance to my exodus wallet, the address is double checked and correct. i've got 40 confirmations.

6989  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ThorPay - Crypto Payement Gateway on: May 25, 2018, 12:07:17 PM
I have two questions as well.
Do you plan to accept the Lightning Network (LN) for instant transactions?
What i Devgenesis?
It will be very hard to compete with Bitpay, but I wish you good luck,OP.

6990  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help to find alternative to GoogleAdWords. on: May 25, 2018, 04:53:43 AM
Google to Ban ICO and Crypto Ads Starting In June. For this reason I have a question.
What AdNetworks are alternative to GoogleAdWords for ICO projects?

This post doesn't fit on this sub-forum ,OP.Here we discuss crypto trading.
You should move it to a more appropriate forum board.
Anyway,I don't know about any good PPC alternatives to Adwords. The Yahoo/Bing PPC ad network is the best alternative, but I don`t know about them being crypto-friendly.
Buysellads has a lot of cryptocurrency websites and blogs, but they are a media buy platform,so you have to buy ad spaces, not pay per click.
6991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We had big three buying oportunities in last 6 months ! on: May 24, 2018, 12:13:55 PM
1. First one was 6th February. (BTC around $5800 and market cap around 280b)
2.Second one was around April first week. (BTC around $6500 andmarket cap around 255b)
3. Third one "now". I think this is another opportunity who missed last two. I think we can see the price around ($6800 to $7100, just my opinion)

Good news that, we are making lower high each of these stages. One day chart shows we do not have much momentum to deep much lower.

Did you missed those opportunities,OP?I sold all my bitcoins at the wrong time this year.I have to quit BTC trading and HODL,every time I decide to sell my btc it's just at the wrong moment.I have some  issues in my personal life so I just can't stay focused and don't let the emotions take control over me.
The price will go down even futher, but I don`t have money to buy.
6992  Economy / Economics / What happnes to BTC,if the oil price goes up? on: May 24, 2018, 12:06:51 PM
The oil price is going up and many people expect it will go above 100 USD per barrel,or even 120 USD per barrel. How this will impact the world economy and the cryptocurrency prices?
I have many own theory about this and I will share it later, but know I'm waiting for other opinions.
Is this good or is it bad for bitcoin?
6993  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-24] Tech Giant GMO to Roll Out World's First 7nm Bitcoin Miner on: May 24, 2018, 12:00:04 PM
It's good to know that there's more competition in the mining hardware niche.
This will lower the mining hardware prices in the long run, so everybody wins.
Anyway,I doubt that GMO can compete with Bitmain.Nothing can beat the cheap chinese labor.
China will continue to dominate the mining hardware production industry.
6994  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crypto Apocalypse on: May 24, 2018, 06:18:46 AM
What is going on to the market? The prices had gone down sharply, especially Etherium at -12.47% and Bitcoin at -8.14% and there seems no stop to that decrease, as for now. Any idea what could have happened? Some news affected the rate, or maybe it's just the overall market mood.

P.S. Maybe it has nothing to do with that, but Facebook shares grew quite a lot in the recent 48 hours.

The BTC price is down by only -8,14% and you post a thread with the title "The crypto apocalypse"Huh
Is this clickbait or is it overreacting?I don`t see any drama in the current price decrease,I was expecting that the bearish trend will continue during the summer and I was right.
If the btc price goes down to 1000 USD ,you are free to post about a crypto apocalypse.
6995  Economy / Speculation / Re: As bitcoin plunges, mega-bull Tom Lee stands by his $25,000 target on: May 24, 2018, 06:10:41 AM
Tom Lee's predictions never happen,so let`s hope that the price will reach 20K or 30K USD,I'm sure that it won't reach 25K USD.This guy just wants to stabilize the btc price and stop the bearish trend,by using his popularity and influence and spreading optimism acorss the crypto community. He is an "enemy" of the FUDsters.
6996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's be honest bitcoin dies if the investors greed is not fulfilled on: May 24, 2018, 06:05:42 AM
Bitcoin won`t die,if the greedy investors leave. It will continue to exist, but with a way lower price and lower price volatility.I think that bitcoin has a better chance to evolve and succeed, without all those investors.
What do you mean by "hard competition in the industry"?Do you mean competition in BTC mining?
6997  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain was created to solve human problems. Why not the biggest one? on: May 23, 2018, 11:43:23 AM
I believe that we live in the first generation capable of answering the biggest question, "what are we"? And the "why"?

The ancient Egyptians were obsessed with this concept, but we seem unconcerned.

Blockchain is remarkable because it conveys what is possible when intelligent people work towards a cumulative goal. We live in the age of information and technology -- knowledge is available, and mankind is now capable of so much more than ever before. However, we waste so much of our ability chasing money. If we were to work together to discover the reasons for life, perhaps we could understand it.

I dont want to die without knowing what this is/was. There are tons of resources available online, there are scientists, the LHC, preachers, etc -- but the truth remains, that nobody really knows. If we can understand it, perhaps we can control it. If we can communicate with our creator -- perhaps we can understand why. Perhaps we can reason, understand why, understand how to evolve, defeat pain/illness/death.

Is the question "What are we?" the biggest human problem?
I thought that wars, poverty, inequality, healthcare, polution and terrorism are the biggest problems of the human civilization.
Do you think that solving a bunch of complex mathematical tacks will answer the question "What are we?"?
6998  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Check ICO on the scam: common deception schemes and services on: May 23, 2018, 11:34:34 AM
Great post,OP.I still don`t know why so many people fall for those stupid ICO scams.I guess that their greed makes them blind.By the way, having a whitepaper does not guarantee that the ICO project is trustworthy.
The good news is that after the recent ICO regulations in many countries, the ICO dev teams will have to reveal and verify their real identity.
6999  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-22] "The blockchain's killer app is trading" on: May 23, 2018, 11:20:23 AM
There's no point trading something that doesn't have a purpose.

But Bitcoin does have a purpose: transfer. The most common type of transfer is international: either to avoid fees, capital controls or economic sanctions. Without that demand, there would be no multi-billion dollar monetary base, and Bitcoin would be just a speculative bubble that died a long time ago.

I would say that trading financial assets (including cryptocurrencies) is a process of buying and selling risk.
The "bears" are selling risk and the "bulls" are buying it.But risk=profit.
You are  right about main purpose of crypto.People want a safe, irreversible and anonymous way to transfer value online.
7000  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible reduction of price volatility - futures as a balancing factor on: May 23, 2018, 05:42:51 AM
The only way  futures trading  changed the btc prices is that it reduced the btc potential price growth.
The big companies and institutional investors can buy futures contracts, instead of buying btc directly.
This reduces the market demand for btc and reduces the btc price.
