701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First UK's bitcoin robbery. Stay safe. on: January 30, 2018, 03:42:38 AM
I first heard about this yesterday, and I suspect it must have been facilitated from a connected person who knew what they were doing. Better to keep your financial activities confidential. The blockchain is however traceable and even savvy thieves moving crypto around will leave a trail on the blockchain that cyber crime can follow when they try to cash out?
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin effects on the environment ..... on: January 30, 2018, 03:39:21 AM
It is an interesting question for sure, and I think the sensible solution would be to go for more self sufficient methods of producing the electricity to run the mining rigs. Solar power only requires the initial outlay on panels and batteries and once you are setup the electricity will be free. Not only would that be positive for the environment but also reduce your overheads.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: January 29, 2018, 04:49:33 AM
I would say the answer is NO,

If you have a job then your current financial status is probably still quite low, if you owned a medium size company with good trading history then your financial status would be pretty good. You should keep our current job and use your spare time to increase your wealth with Bitcoin and crypto. Until you have  1 - 2 years worth of money spare that you could survive with no income then the risks would be too large.
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin expense problem on: January 28, 2018, 04:36:47 AM
The easy answer to your question is if you can get yourself a Crypto Debit card then you can spend it on practically anything. I recently got mine it is MasterCard branded and I can use it for simple things like a coffee, fill up the car with gas, grocery shopping or bigger purchases like a holiday, house furniture.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helping a Beginner on: January 28, 2018, 04:03:35 AM
You should give them the basics information about what Bitcoin is, what it can do, where and how to purchase some and how to store it in a local wallet. Then tell them they should only invest in it what they are prepared to lose.
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries that accept bitcoin payments on: January 27, 2018, 04:15:53 AM
You need to think a little bit outside the box with this one. I have a Crypto Debit Card that I can use right now in any country and anywhere that accepts MasterCard. I can choose to pay in any one of currently 7 different crypto currencies BTC, ETH, ZEC, LTC, XMR, XRP, DASH and I have zero fees for spending them. Take a look at Centra it may solve a lot of your current limitations.
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chromebook for Storing Wallets Only? on: January 27, 2018, 04:07:57 AM
I think the simpler choice is to get a hardware wallet holder such as a Ledger or Trezor. That way you are keeping your wallets separate and secured from your normal computer usage and the cost is much more attractive also.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money? on: January 27, 2018, 04:05:56 AM
I do think it is a possibility but I don't think it is actually a good idea. With paper money unless it is an obvious forgery you are never going to get refused when you wish to buy goods. Who knows what could happen when a computer is controlling your rights to purchase those groceries?
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at $20K ? on: January 26, 2018, 04:25:02 AM
Last 30 Days the guy they call THE PROPHET hit the 3 big drops in value 1 or 2 days before they hit. He also hit a few big spikes in other coins.

Just search this site for THE PROPHET to see his stuff or his site is www.prophet.business

He says short long term BTC going to $30k and $50k soon.

But his last warning has it dropping to $5k before it regains value.

So, near $5k. That's the buy, ride to $30k or $50k.

Overall, he's negative on Bitcoin and all Crypto since he says the future Google of crypto has yet to be build, it will take over $100 Billion to build it and market it.

He says when you can go into a Starbucks and use a digital currency instantly for a cheap coffee and then go eat at Burger King and use the same wallet, that crypto is real.

Until then, it's all crap he says that all perish when the super crypto coin arrives that the global merchants will run.

So look for a joint project by big merchants as the news that destroys any crypto talking about a global currency.

Big merchants will instantly brand the real crypto that BTC, eth, xrp and ltc can never scale to.

I have heard the same arguments but I can already use my crypto to buy small everyday items in any store that accepts mastercard across the globe. So I would suggest that time is already here. I use XRP to purchase a pizza, I used BTC to shop on ebay, and I used ETH to buy drinks in a night club all with my Centra card.

So in answer to the main question yes I think Bitcoin will breach 20,000 this year
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone help me with this Bitcoin? on: January 26, 2018, 04:15:15 AM
The cheapest way to get yourself some Bitcoin would be to join some ICO bounty campaigns. You just need to spend a little time and effort to earn some of the alt coins with your participation then afterwards you can trade them up for the equivalent amount of Bitcoin.
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto mining profitable? on: January 25, 2018, 05:56:47 AM
I think you will find the Bitcoin mining sector is already heavily saturated by some very large players, much better to start off trying to mine some of the altcoins where you will probably get a better cost per time and electricity consumed.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can buy KFC chicken by Bitcoin on: January 25, 2018, 05:54:34 AM
I saw this story a couple of weeks ago, surely it is just a gimmic at the moment as transaction fees would multiply the price of your meal. Why not be smart about things and get youself a crypto debit card instead? I got my Centra card at the end of December and I bought a pizza using XRP, I bought stuff from ebay using BTC and drinks at a bar using ETH. All with zero transaction fees. I can also take out cash from an ATM anywhere in the world and iwll be using it for travelling next week

It is the future  Smiley
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada is the best place for Bitcoin on: January 24, 2018, 11:04:44 AM
It is encouraging to see that some countries are willing to forge ahead and test new ground in the financial area. Switzerland is somewhere that has also embraged the idea of Bitcoin and crypto currency in general with Zero capital gains tax on trading and profits. Good luck to those living in Canada
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Taxing Bitcoins Possible? on: January 24, 2018, 10:57:51 AM
I think we are all aware of the regulations being imposed by the IRS in the United States of America, where the onus is on the individual to volunteer the information of their financial activities. They are planning to tax any capital gain on each and every crypto transaction. Sure other countries will try and do the same at some point so maybe think of relocating to somewhere more sympathetic with your philosophy  Smiley
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram ICO (TON) on: January 24, 2018, 10:54:30 AM
I think the Telegram ICO will be hugely anticipated there have already been 1 or even 2 fake sales so far GRAM being the most plausible. I would suggest waiting until you see any confirmed information through the official Telegram channels and not here nor anywhere else.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY]Cardstack - Experience Layer of Blockchain. Up to $350K on: January 24, 2018, 08:56:35 AM
Just signed up for the Signature campaign, the text line doesn't allow enough characters to display properly so I changed Intern to Web hope that is ok?  Smiley
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market correction on: January 23, 2018, 05:09:28 AM
I think the market correction is almost over, Bitcoin had great support at the 10,000 level and climbed after slipping below for a short time. There are some great prospect altcoins that are weathering the decline with style not everything is red day after day at the moment so pick the upcoming stars and you will do fine.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am i too late on: January 23, 2018, 05:02:02 AM
Now seems like a really good time to invest in Bitcoin, it is well below the recent highs from December meaning you have much less risk of a large drop in value. It seems to be moving up and down within a 20% range at the moment so pick the tright time and you could generate some decent trading profits.
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why aren't there more women in Bitcoin? on: January 23, 2018, 04:59:03 AM
I have met a few so far and I think the numbers are increasing rapidly now. I regularly talk with one and she said a couple of years ago she used to get hostile and intimidating comments on the forums so maybe that has something to do with it? Should be closer to a level playing field in another couple of years I think.
720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Want Bitcoin Bank on: January 22, 2018, 05:19:23 AM
I am pretty sure that Bankera are already doing this although they do have their own coin to service this. You can also deposit Bitcoin, Ethereum etc and they are using Spectrocoin as their exchange
