701  Economy / Marketplace / Re: mtgox: accidently sent less BTC then entered on: June 15, 2011, 06:18:58 PM
If you added 1.00 instead of 1.01 withdraw it from your MtGox account or deposit another 0.01. You haven't lost the BTC.
702  Economy / Marketplace / Re: mtgox.con and Liberty reserve on: June 15, 2011, 06:12:16 PM
I've never had problems between Liberty Reserve and MtGox save for that it takes a day or almost a day before I see the money from MtGox show up in my Lib. Res. account.

How much will it cost to build the walls?

What motherboard are you using?

706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Asus 6950 1 gb Direct CU II overheating on: June 11, 2011, 09:53:08 PM
The best I could tell you, since I am by no means tech savvy, is to open the case and if heat truly is such a big problem get a small fan and point it at it. Mind you DUST and other debris is also bad for your computer pieces, so if you plan on keeping it open, keep it neat, tidy and above all, clean.
Good luck on your mining, feller.
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sent BTCs not receiving? on: June 11, 2011, 09:51:12 PM
Indeed. Patience is a virtue here.

It took me all of yesterday and until 5PM today to see a mere 2 BTC reflect on my MtGox account sent from my wallet... And an entire day on a different occasion to see money from MtGox sent to my Liberty Reserve account.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Did I just lose my BTC? on: June 11, 2011, 03:13:50 PM
It's alright man. I'm having a similar issue, 2 hours ago I sent MtGox a couple coins and they haven't showed up in my account. The best you can do is be patient I'd guess. Did you get the money as of now though?
709  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Gui Miner isn't detecting my new videocard on: June 04, 2011, 11:37:36 PM
That would sound about right, but I uninstalled the old card and replaced it with my new one, since I don't have a good motherboard with 2 VGA slots. Sad
710  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Gui Miner isn't detecting my new videocard on: June 04, 2011, 10:49:09 PM
It's alright, thanks a lot man.
711  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Gui Miner isn't detecting my new videocard on: June 04, 2011, 10:33:27 PM
Ahahahaha! You didn't catch the reference then. If you watch closely MLP in my picture is this

Where can I find the OpenCL SDK compatible for my video card? I fiund the Krhonos group website and now download link.
712  Bitcoin / Mining / Gui Miner isn't detecting my new videocard on: June 04, 2011, 10:12:04 PM
I'm running GUIminer but the only opencl device recognized is my older card, an AMD Athlon II x4. But after installing an r6950 I still get the same hash rate as before on my old card, a mere 2.4Mhash.What am I doing wrong?
713  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Building a rig but at-odds regarding the components. on: May 21, 2011, 02:55:48 AM
I done it on the cheap buying bits from ebay.  the one thing I did get wrong was how important a good power supply is. I bought 3 from ebay ranging from £35 to £50 and they all sucked and blew up in about 3 days Cheesy So I went out and got a xfx 750w power supply and so far so good.

heres the list of parts I bought.

ATI radeon 5870 @ £120
ATI radeon 5830 xxx @ £83
Asrock ALIVEXFIRE mobo @ £35
AMD Athlon 7850BE proc @ £35
xfx 750w power supply @ £85

I had some old ram dimms so saved about £20 on that.

total = £358

With this setup I'm hashing around 700Mhs what earns me around 3BTC a day at todays difficulty. I've run this miner for around a month and have payed for the computer give or take a few quid.

Wow man thanks a LOT. But I have but one wee question. How can I know if a mobo thas 2 video card slots? I read them on newegg but on video I only see the slot is pci-e

Here's a list of gpus:

http://golubev.com/gpuest.htm

I was myself thinking about getting some old ps3's and mining with some preconfigured linux live cd's - Should be able to find some ps3's with dead gpu's but the cells working - the whole other-os thing makes it tricky though.

Thanks for that man.

But what about mobos and power requirement? My biggest need is a new power supply. And if I did buy everything through new egg, it comes with the chords, right? How do I even know the model of motherboard that I'm using? because I cannot get that machine running since the PSU is dead although the hardware is not old.

Me neither, but I am damn glad this post didn't get any replies.

I don't want a bunch of stoners in charge of creating the currency of the future Wink

i lol'd

That's really the only argument I've heard against bitcoin anyways, that it'll be used by crazy drug cartels.

stoner hippies =/= drug cartels

Did you know Euros and American dollars and British pounds are also used in the drug trade?

Correcto?
Te recomendaria no hacerlo directo del programa de Bitcoin. No uses tu CPU.  Mejor busca el GUIminer y usa tus tarjetas de video.

3-Hay que configurar algo para que utilice la GPU en lugar del micro?
Si, programas como GUIminer o Diablo's miner.

Desde ya muchas gracias

Saludos

Any recommendations as to which components I could get to build such a rig?
719  Bitcoin / Mining / Building a rig but at-odds regarding the components. on: May 20, 2011, 11:32:41 PM
I would love to start out mining at home, I am unemployed and have been for a while. Looking for a way to get into the BTC market is a seeming god send here.

I am not exactly the most computer literate person so I already say here, I'm sorry if this is not correct board for posting. I'm a bit cash-strapped but can pull through as I have as always, you may not know but the human body can take a lot of punishment or achieve great things, even yours. But I digress.

And here I admit, I'm a little dumb but can manage around a computer, building one and setting it up is a no problem for me. I have some older components, perhaps no older than 3 years old and would like to know if I could use this to build a new albeit cheap machine but with good motherboard, GPUs and power supply. Knowing I want a new motherboard that can take 2 cards I assume I need a new PSU as well.

I have some RAM it's DDR2 I just don't know what the number of pins that it has, some HDDs, cd drive and old PSU with heat sink.

Say a $750for pieces including shipping investment for a rig dedicated to mining (and yes I have taken into account the mining getting harder and harder and at home miner phased out soon) would it still be profitable for me to make a machine based on my funds?

What could you tell me fellow BTC'ers?
720  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: selling mining contracts 400£ per Ghps per Month on: May 20, 2011, 11:12:02 PM
Vladimir, are your contracts still available? I saw a post earlier in which you claimed the service was discontinued, I would like if there is still availability on the list, although I must ask if I can negotiate the minimum 4 month of the regular contract.
