701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regret! on: December 15, 2017, 01:15:22 PM
My greatest regret was selling LTC too early in the mid of August, as I remember I bought LTC at the beginning of July at price 54.5$, then I lost the patient when it down to 43$.
At that time, I still believe in LTC, but I thought it in the downing trend, so I sold all of my LTC to buy back at lower price. But it never went down and I's still fear.
Finally, I think we shoud not wait the crash or the correction to buy, as I keep on waiting the price to go down, but the price never go down and I never invested in LTC by then.

Also finished installing the fans for the Ant-Muffler today! You can see the custom "bookshelf" is in front of the fans as well. It just needs shelves and Antminers.

You're so fast with that impressive progress. Way to go BeerMan81! By the way, have you tested the noise level of this fan?
I'm consider to setup more 2 fans for my minin farm and I expect that fan's noise level should be less than 65dBA, but I checked around not much high speed fan could meet that low noise level.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidea Titan V mining on: December 14, 2017, 06:00:48 PM
80 mhs at 180 watts.
At 3000 dolars a tough sell. But hash/watt is of the charts.

https://hothardware.com/news/nvidia-titan-v-volta-ethereum

I dont know about its price, but with 3000$ I could get about 9 x RX580. So basically a RX 580 could achieve 30.4 Mh/s on ETH mining, so 9 x RX580 could hash about 274 Mh/s which is much more than just 80 Mh/s. Actually we should take into account electric price, but it's not the big deal when compare with this Nvidia Titan V Volta.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New NVIDIA GPU Mining Chipset NV P106-100...which model? on: December 14, 2017, 03:10:17 PM
I got 8x p106 in my ASUS B250 mining expert rig. got those P106 used from bitbitminer.com
nice price. the hashrate is 20-23 mH/S.

My rig: 8 x MSI P106-100, the OC setting is as image, each GPU could achieve 25.05 Mh/s:

705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP: Momentum Building on: December 14, 2017, 03:05:27 PM
I bought at 0.0000257BTC yesterday, then I almost sold when it had correction back to 0.000020BTC. So feel very lucky and happy now with current price!
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I start? Heres my specs! on: December 14, 2017, 06:10:29 AM
I've got a GTX 1070 8GB, with 16gb DDR4 ram with an i7-6700k 4.0ghz, is BTC worth mining? What do you think my profits could be?
Thanks!

Your computer is really high performance. But actually it's not going for BTC which is for dedicated ASIC miner.
With GTX 1070 you could mine many cois such as: ETH, ZEN/ZEC, XZC, LBC, FTC and some other neoscrypt coins. Also with that high level CPU core i7-6700k 4.0Ghz, you could mine XMR or Magi coin (ZMG) as well.
The profit should be around 1.9-2.2$/GPU/day after power cost.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] STK: A New Cryptocurrency for Instant Payments at Point of Sale on: December 14, 2017, 05:56:46 AM
STK is a promising project, so that why I bought some.
But I'm just curious why this bounty does not target to Japan and Vietnam (I checked in the CTF's bounty translation campaign, Japanese and Vietnamese are not offered). While 80% BTC global transactions are from Japan, Korea and Vietnam according to WJ:

we could do these two languages Smiley

Hi shibob, we added those two languages to our translation campaign. Thanks for suggestion if you know somebody that want to earn stakes, send them to our bounty campaign.

Thank cryptotask_support and bSpend, I registered for Vietnamese translation already. There are more and more Vietnamese invest on ICO rather than just BTC and ETH like before, so hope that I could provide them some references.
So, I will work at translation tomorrow and post translated-ANN in the 2 forums which are more popular for Vietnamese cryptocurrency community.

The soft cap is reaching, but hope that we could go further for this promising project!
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gtx 1070, what coin(s) do you guys mine at this very moment? on: December 13, 2017, 10:56:37 AM
With GTX 1070 you have many choices. You could mine: ETH, ZEN/ZEC, VTC, XZC, FTC and some other Neoscrypt coins.
Actually most of these coins could give you more than 1.5$/per day.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNA - The First Cryptocurrency for Africa (MINING HAS STARTED!) on: December 13, 2017, 09:24:58 AM
I'm curious what this project could exactly does for Africa? I read white paper and your website, but It still not makes sense for me. If it really does, actually, I would like to join.

Dear theHun,

Is there any possible for Vietnamese translation bounty? As I checked Vietnamese is not listed in your reservation.
But you know 80% of BTC global transactions are from Japan, Korea and Vietnam, so I hope that this project will be spread to Vietnam as well:

712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high on: December 13, 2017, 04:50:12 AM
There's one thing we should take a look at is according to WJ, 80% BTC global transactions are from Japan, Korea and Vietnam.
It makes me remember to the financial crisis of 2007–2008.

714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high on: December 13, 2017, 02:52:44 AM
In my opinion, It's definitely a bubble at the moment. Actually the blockchain technology behind BTC is novel and is future.
Many people are coming in treating bitcoin as a quick buck scheme. So, it looks like BTC has strayed from its original purpose (in terms of decentralization, scalability, etc.)
But people are blindly buying for quick "free money" without assessing the true value. That's why it might pop.

715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many Coin is going to ICO ? What is going on ? on: December 13, 2017, 02:44:07 AM
yeah, too many existing altcoins out there, and there're many new ICO projects day by day, I think most of them will fail soon.
Actually there're some good projects, but choosing them is too hard now.

717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 13 Nvidia GPUs on Windows (h110) on: December 12, 2017, 02:13:32 PM
I tried to build a 12 GPUs GTX 1060 in Window 10 ver.1709 last week as well, but my attempt failed, only 8 GPUs were recognized. I'm going to have some further tests next week.
You could visit 2 following threads, s3c70r already successfully built 12 GPUs and even 21 GPUs Nvidia P106-100 in window 10, really amazing:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2409330.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2338482.20

His hardwares: Asus B250 mining mainboard, CPU core i3-7100, 8Gb RAM, set 32 Gb virtual memory, and with even cheapest PCIE to 4 extender.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Rig Profit Expectations (NVIDIA) on: December 12, 2017, 06:12:10 AM
I just assume you're going to mine ZEC to calculate the profit.

Hashrate + Power calculation:

1x EVGA GTX 1070 SC: ~450sol/s ------ 140W
2x Zotac GTX 1070 Ti Mini: ~510sol/s -- 165W*2
2x EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2: ~740sol/s -- 235W*2
(Yes, you should buy 1 more 1070 Ti if you still have budget).

Total hashrate: 2950 sol/s. With this hashrate, you may get ~1.45 ZEC/month which is about 480$/month.

Power cost: (940W * 24*30)*0.12$ = ~82$/month

So basically you have the return around 400$ if I'm correct.
Your case is mostly the same as me, most of my hashrate is used to mine ETH & XMR, but I just want to test for fun or for whatever, I build more 3 Nvidia rigs to mine several altcoins: FTC, XZC, BTG, ZEN, ZEC, VTC.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cannot get mobo to see 7th GPU on: December 12, 2017, 02:08:48 AM
Be careful with your setup, I dont think 1200W PSU could handle 7x1070. I havent used that mobo yet, but basically your rig could boot with 6 GPUs, it means it also can boot with 7 GPUs as well.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ripple gonna be the biggest ltcoin of 2018? on: December 11, 2017, 09:37:50 AM
I think Ripple is a good coin and its application looks promising, but I dont think it could be big that fast. At this time and even may be in 2018, people just involve to cryptocurrency for speculation, not much people looks at the real product/platform/applications.
