The execution is what matters.  The idea can be great but if it's not executed correctly it will eventually fail.

Other smart contract platforms such as NEO and Stellar are gaining market share due to the Ethereum scalability issues, a lot of dApps are moving away from ETH:

If you plan long-term holdings than Ethereum is the best choice IMO. If you want to play a bit riskier you should take a look at Zilliqa, I think it has a lot of potential.

Wait for the market to recover Total crypto market cap will for sure exceed $1 Trillion USD this year.

Bitcoin for sure, but the Bitcoin dominance will be dropping over 2018 IMO. It already lost a lot in 2017, but it will stay on the top.
