Difficulty alogorithm sux de balls.
600 blocks too many. Main Dev. has burnt out of crypto and stopped all work on coins, which is unfortunate. But Sista has learned Linux well enough and the github proocol to be able to make the changes. i have tried as well, and let me tell you that it is a nightmare.
But he is fixxing another of his project right now and will be working on GLC soon. Will take a week or two to make sure everything is working and to decide on the optimal blocok retarget, what block to make teh changes, etc.
Any feedback from teh community on the changes is appreciated and encouraged.
Is there any other coins you use that mine like a charm and what is there block retarget, etc.

Me and Sista are working to fix the diff algo now. It is supposed to happen at block 240,000 I believe, but we will likely patch and bring that update sooner. The swings are too strong and we are worried about the time it will take to get to the patch block.
This is mostly Sista, so thank him when it happens.
You might send him some GLC or something, he lost all his and he is continuing to work, so, just a thought.

Maybe I will put this project on my back. I am unemployed, so maybe I can learn all things coding and make this work

It is pretty interesting.
Watching this coin over the past few months as the difficulty swings get more and more out of control. This coin could have likely been mentioned on thebitcoinchannel if the difficulty issue was not so pronounced. the guy that runs that very visited site stated that his premise for liking a coin is how fast transactions happen. With our broken diff. we have nothing to offer.
This is supposedly to be fixed in the next few weeks, but we need that to happen.

For consideration:
|
|
|
Someone needs to take the coin over and do the edits, start a new thread, and post new client to github. The original developer only made it as a pump and dump and is unresponsive. You can do it if yu want. But there are options out there that are better.
But who knows, maybe the winning alt will be the alt that is abandoned :}

block reward halved at block 240,000.

Coin dropping like a bag of balls now. Maybe because of the BTC drop, who knows... Not gonna sell any GLC at this rate. Nope. All harkens back to that 1 million lazy seller who killed the rally. Rallies come infrequent, do not be an idiot.

Solo mining is the act of minign through your local wallet, so it will send block proceeds to that address.

The other pool is probably getting all the blocks.
