701  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you need an options exchange? on: October 16, 2014, 01:09:55 PM
There aren't any yet.  That would make you the first, like Bitcoin.

As a researcher, I do like creating new technologies. But this is also a business, and it's a bit too expensive for me to do at this moment. Thank you for the suggestion anyway.

Open up the market information without the need to register.

Agree.. Why should someone register? Leaving my email is a big X sign for me.

As many of you requested, I have added the market data onto the home page. So you can now see the data without registration.

There is still quite limited liquidity. I need your help to add more.
703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you need an options exchange? on: October 16, 2014, 04:31:58 AM
Multisig =/= decentralized

For multisig, at least users' funds are decentralised. If you have any idea about a completely decentralised options exchange, which is also easy to use, I will be more than happy to know.

It would be good to be able to see what the offers are on options for various different time periods/contracts, but I couldn't see it on your site.

You can actually see after login or from the screenshots https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=821889.new;topicseen#new. But I am planning to put them on the homepage so you can immediately see. There are BTC/USD, BTC/CNY, and BTC/EUR. For each of them, there are 6 time periods from Monday to Saturday.

I am planning to add more longer periods. Do you have any suggestions?

Make this a decentralized exchange and I'm there.

I am also considering using the multisig approach. But there are many technical issues to be solved and it may decrease user experience dramatically. There is always a tradeoff between security and usability.

I suggest

- reducing the number of strikes.

- increasing the time to maturity

- introduce more than binary options

For me this doesn't seem very useful, but I'm not a day trader. The focus is very short term.

Since we are the first to introduce exchange traded bitcoin options, we are still determining the expiration dates. Do you have any suggestions?
I am still working on vanilla options, but they could require a big amount of margin for sellers as the volatility can be extremely high. How much margin is required is still a question.
706  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I start to provide liquidity by myself? on: October 16, 2014, 03:06:35 AM
Right, but it is difficult to bootstrap the liquidity. When there is no liquidity, users won't come, and when users don't come, there won't be any liquidity. Do you have any suggestions on this?

They only way is to provide your own liquidity, or get someone else to do the same thing on your behalf.

It seems that I can only find another person to do so.

No phone number or address on the Contact link.  Just a "support" email address.

We changed our address yesterday. I just added the address. Currently, I have only my own mobile phone number and will add a phone number soon.

Who are we trading against? IS it a decentralized markets where we trade with each other or do we trade against you?

You trade with each other. I just watch and maintain. That's why I say it's a fair market.
Exchange this should be so, otherwise it can only be called Changer.

Yah, that's how "exchange" is defined.
710  Economy / Economics / Re: China will become Super Power ? on: October 15, 2014, 05:25:45 PM
There is alot fake stuff from china , they clone everything and sell with cheap price.
Cheap but low quality.

China will become one of Good Economic Country in the world , but super power ? No

China has large growth of middle income population layer. This means they have bigger salaries that enables them to buy more expensive products thus making demand for higher quality.

This demand forces product quality to rise to meet demand. Whole process is slowly rolling to higher quality of all products.

Strong middle layer makes country strong. China is growing rapidly with some bumps on the road but evenutaly there will be tipping point when it passes US.

Everything depends on the future actions of US though. Only time will tell, but I am almost certain that we should start learning Chinese Cheesy

yes you right , chinese languange is become important in asia now ,in my country for new recruit in some company they must be fluent in english and chinese.

Good to know that. BTW, which country are you in?

712  Other / Meta / Re: Happy to see my activity is rising on: October 15, 2014, 04:09:57 PM
That's right. You had some 14-day periods you wrote less than 14 messages and you collected them all now.

Good to hear that. Thanks.
713  Other / Meta / Happy to see my activity is rising on: October 15, 2014, 04:05:03 PM
I am so happy to see that my activity has risen more than 14 within a few days. I guess this is because my account was registered a few years ago, right?

715  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Liquidity providers wanted on: October 15, 2014, 03:53:09 PM

716  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Liquidity providers wanted on: October 15, 2014, 03:45:00 PM
I have no idea what's going on. This shouldn't happen. I am promoting my site, how can I put something like that on the website?
I will report this to GoDaddy. I guess there could be something to do with your software as well. Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience.

From now, your site is again reporting as malware, just from some seconds ago.

Could you tell me the name of the software that you are using?

Guys, my newly launched site https://coinut.com needs some liquidity providers. Register now, and you will get a great offer if you trade using limit orders. Hurry up, or you will miss it.

The website https://coinut.com/ I'm getting malware alert from my antivirus.
Be careful if any of you don't have an antivirus program and firewall installed with the latest database.

Thanks for the information. But would you please give me a screenshot so that I know whether it is your antivirus software's problem or it's because of some kind of conflict of interest.

It's not a conflict of interest. It was infected with malware a when I posted.
Now your site is not reporting as malware.
Hope you or your hosting provider de-activated it.
Another site which was reported as malware was https://majesticoins.com/
I didn't report it in this forum and so that one is still reporting as malware but yours is not.

Thank you very much for the clarification. Have a nice day!  Wink
719  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin distribution on: October 15, 2014, 03:28:19 PM
Bad. I hoped more than some whale had cashed out during the " falling"  of price...
I think that unfair distribution of wealth is the biggest flaw of btc design.

This is not about BTC design, but about the very nature of money and capitalism. Even if the initial distribution was made in such a way that everyone started with the same amount, it would eventually return back to a few people.

Right, the capital distribution in the world is only slightly different because of government control, so that the poor are not too poor. But since there is no control for the bitcoin world, the poor will be extremely poor, and the rich will be extremely rich.

Are you saying that thanks to the government, we're not that poor? That's an odd point of view, considering at least the poverty of my own country, Mexico (home of the richest person in the world).

I don't know the situation in Mexico. But for China, even thought it's still a developing country, it still supports people who do not have a job or have really low income.
