701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina Debt Crisis: U.S. Demands 1.5 billion cash (Bitcoin to Rescue?) on: June 17, 2014, 07:53:22 PM
It's strange that Argentina borrows from another with relatively wide berth in terms of conditions, than calls it 'extortion' when they are meant to return that money.

Argentina had a responsibility towards its citizens to straighten themselves out, and understand that loan obligations is something they have to take into account. Right now they are just funneling and diverting their own failures to anti-US sentiment, while obviously failing to do what they need to do for their own economy with someone else's money.

BECAUSE they are nominally allies, they need to hold themselves to such standards and be straight forward with us in their dealings. Argentina has a history of defaulting conveniently when it suits them best, while taking advantage of the agreement at the expense of others and breaching contractual agreements.

This one has actually been dragged out too long. Argentina is obligated to itself to take care of its own business while meeting the mutual conditions of loans it gets from others. To attempt to frame this as an 'extortion' is a pretty sorry ass excuse.

I just send some TES from the pool wallet to Cryptsy and it arrived so it appeares we are on the correct fork.  The github repo was updated a few hours ago, which we updated the wallet to.

Mintpal confirmed also that stuff went back on track

Updated, TES back on track.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MINERS UNITE! Block the FBI coins. Do not fund violent underground organizations on: June 16, 2014, 09:05:37 PM
OP is a fool and a delusional man child.

'violent underground organizations' LOL maybe you should follow anonymous and try to go toe to toe with mexican drug cartels instead.

No balls for that?
704  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble incoming! $3800 - $4000 expected on: June 16, 2014, 09:01:59 PM
It was inevitable. 5000 USD is definitely possible.

I believe the dev team is working hard on these issues. There are way too many 'tesla' coins, so promote this coin and make it known it is the only legitimate coin out there. More info can be found here:

Didn't Nikola Tesla go into Debt...

Tesla died broke and alone.

Just like most true geniuses.

He was a very wealthy and very poor man several times in his life - all of his monetary gains he constantly funneled back into research, continually funding his own projects and rejecting bankers and profiteers. He was an eccentric who didn't care about capitalism, living in a society completely obsessed with profits - and he suffered and was judged harshly for that. There have been many great scientists and engineers, but there will only ever have been one Tesla. He was on another level. Genius, insanity, fine line etc.

Right....the trick is knowing how to pick out the gold from the fire while assaying the pile.

Don't be a fool riling about the 'system' and 'bankers' as if you even scratched the surface. Tesla was close minded and isolated fool whose talents were hampered by his own personal deficiencies. Had he been more proficient with his situation, he would have done much more to advance his own research and his own vision.

Figures someone like him is a 'model' for some half-baked revolutionaries.
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does the US Military Think Bitcoin Is a Terrorist Threat? on: June 15, 2014, 09:10:02 PM
Sure are a lot of 'non-sheep' here in the forums.

Nothing is easier to manipulate than those who believe themselves free. Especially those who believe themselves better than others and most importantly, 'know' better than others.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia, world's largest travel company, now accepts Bitcoin. Your thoughts? on: June 15, 2014, 06:32:51 PM
One among many to come.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does the US Military Think Bitcoin Is a Terrorist Threat? on: June 15, 2014, 06:24:11 PM
Lack of education about crypto in general and its implications, not to mention how US military operates, is ASTOUNDING.

US military has contingency plan for everything. They have a plan for potential viral outbreak to girl scout rebellions. I am not kidding.

If you think this 'bit coin is a terrorist threat' crap is anything more significant, either you are extremely naive or stupid enough to make this help you feel victimized - so you can continue to bitch and moan.
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MINERS UNITE! Block the FBI coins. Do not fund violent underground organizations on: June 15, 2014, 03:01:11 AM
LOL

sad thing is people actually believe this shit.

Actually most of Einsteins work was made by his serbian wife...just sayin...

What is this, serbian national pride day?
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ϟ The Tesla ϟ....New PROMO Video paper wallet and more! ϟ ϟ on: June 14, 2014, 08:57:46 PM
i want some tesla coins too!!
Besides.. Nikola Tesla was a real genius, not like Einstein, his thought where not of this world and its a huge waste
we dont honor his visions and his inventions. As an electro engeneer i can say this coin is Tesla approved !! Wink

not seriously where can i get some of these?...

Yeah you're right. We don't use satellites at all, amirite? Einstein is why we know how to keep GPS in orbit and sync'd to time on the surface. So next time your phone leads you to within 3 meters of your destination accurately, make sure you thank Einstein. Outside of relativity, do you have any idea how many pieces of technology evolved because of Einstein's prize-winning work on the Photoelectric Effect? Nah, I bet you don't, everyone thinks E=mc^2 is why he won the nobel prize.

Though I do absolutely agree with one point - Tesla is under-appreciated. Edison can go fuck himself.

Edison was a visionary and a hawk who is now being unfairly 'criticized' by those who seek to project using Tesla as their model. His ways were different, not worse, than Tesla, and Tesla himself had quite a few deficiencies as a person that alienated many around him including those who could have helped him out.

Edison was much more skilled in dealing with people including the right ones. Tesla was an awkward stuck up who was deficient and opportunistic in his claims while assuming the role of a victim against a much more influential and in his own way, very innovative edison. Tesla's inventions were ahead of his time, while Edison's were fitting for his timeline - you need all the pieces in place before a technology can be useful, and insisting with a stuck up attitude of tesla about the merits of his 'genius' while ignoring all around him as a trivial inferiors led what could have been a vastly useful talent into a misery of bitter isolation.

Deal with the facts, not what you want to believe. Tesla was too stuck up for his own good.
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal (ebay) in banking blockade against wikileaks - please don't forget on: June 09, 2014, 01:28:42 AM
Becaus wikileaks is always in the right.

Apparently no one else wants to see the other side of the coin. What's the moral price of digging up every single dirt you can find on the wikileaks people? Nothing, according to their logic.

If you think this isn't right, you got some head checking to do.
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC In Afghanistan? ... it's 100% ripe right now on: June 07, 2014, 09:19:42 PM
Crypto hasn't even gotten off the grounds in most developed nations. Realistically, this is not a good time for this kind of thinking. You can bet this kind of means will be used in less than savory ways, and will only kill crypto's future, regardless of your political inclinations. Being instrumental in movements of those that kidnap school girls and using drug money to fund some ignorance and bigotry masquerading as political movement is pretty damning.

Get your head out of the clouds.
715  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's clear that the future of bitcoin is not in the US on: June 07, 2014, 05:34:35 PM
Does anyone seriously think bitcoin will continue to rise dramatically IF the US banns btc?

http://groups.csail.mit.edu/mac/classes/6.805/articles/money/nsamint/nsamint.htm

Why would they ban something they made?  Cheesy

They are even quoting a certain Mr. Okamoto in this paper.

It was a rhetorical question. The original poster's assumption is that bitcoin will succeed without the US in the future. I'm just saying that without the US, bitcoin's future is murky at best and busted at worst. I'm not the original poster and I don't assume that the US will bann bitcoin at all. I'm just questioning the original poster's assumption. China tries to bann bitcoins every month or so and has succesffully trolled the bitcoin community and negatively affect the price. If the US tries the same trick, it will have a bigger effect, much bigger.

At this stage, the future of bitcoin lies with the US. As far as the real world is concerned, there are two money capitals in the world, New York and London. Not Beijing, not Shanghai.

Can you deny that bitcoin and fiat are intimately tied together at this point in time?

I am a realist and I live in the real world.

At least someone is thinking straight.

716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use A Crypto Currency, End A War on: June 07, 2014, 09:43:38 AM
Some funny circle jerk going on in this thread with pseudo-intellectuals who think themselves 'enlightened' LOL Smiley

Why is it that they all sound as if they have rebellious daddy issues?

Everyone likes to feel smart and clever, especially the naive and stupid ones Smiley
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HONORCOIN][XHC] PoS | 3 days PoW| Launched!!!! on: June 06, 2014, 05:54:03 PM
Definitely interested in this coin Smiley

PM sent.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use A Crypto Currency, End A War on: June 06, 2014, 05:06:56 PM
Where there is vested interest, conflicts will begin. War is just another form of such events.

We can't have local bitcoin face to face transactions without someone trying to off the other guy.

How the hell are we supposed to avoid wars?
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use A Crypto Currency, End A War on: June 06, 2014, 04:57:28 PM
So how exactly does crypto stop wars?

That's not the dumbest thing I've heard on here but it ranks pretty high up there.

Governments don't have a monopoly on war.

This. I give you props for idealism but OP, you are not being realistic. No one needed the 'military industrial complex' to promote wars since dawn of time. It's a cheap excuse for those with need to shift blame.
720  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin can not continue without regulation on: June 06, 2014, 04:55:44 PM
This is common sense. Don't be a pissy kid and bitch about regulations - they are all that's saving you from being ripped off blind in mainstream commerce in day to day life. Anyone who thinks they know better probably never had to deal with such people in the first place.

To each his own. You can trust your bloated bureaucracy and I will trust myself.

Bloated bureaucracy is but a symptom, and something to manage. I trust myself to navigate them. After living around the world, I learned that there are many greater problems than those of 1st world nations.
