Where are all those devs and marketers? since the launch devs and "marketers" (except patmast3r and gimre) just disapeard. Also i don't understnd why the op was deleted. Now if somebody new comes here problably will not click on that link, also there are not enough informations. The original op was much more better. If i'm not wrong the btt stakeholders doesn't even get their stakes. JUST IMAGINE THAT THESE PEOPLES GOT 2btc+ for free . Do you think they will hodl for another year? When they will get it, we have to expect a huge dump. I'm not of affraid of this dump because of the price ,anyway I'M NOT SELLING MINES. The problem is that, people around exchanges will see only that nem price is falling like hell, and they will NOT join the nem community.WE HAVE TO increase the community, we need more active devs and "marketers".

we are very active, I assure you. we are the ones that made the nem.io website and all the tutorials at http://blog.nem.io/ we also are having lots of meeting behind the scenes. if you would like to contribute please pm me and I'll explain how you can help. The behind the scenese meetings and whatever isn't blowing up the PR section. You can see that from launch. Everybody was so excited before the launch for months. The launch had to be a much bigger "impact".On the forums(here and nem forum),beside the woohoo comments and to the moon comments , almost nothing happend. People were asking wondered on poloniex that wtf is that nem. Some idiots just throw that it was a free distribution nxt asset, then you can guess what people thought about nem. To clear things up . I'M SPEAKING ABOUT THE PR STUFF, not about the technical. Yeah, it would make sense that during first 48 hours at least one of the "7 marketers" was present in the Poloniex chat to explain things. But instead they were in some backroom. Holding a meeting. It appears there is not even the simplest marketing step by step plan. so you'd rather have them spent their time defending against a couple of DASH shills that don't give a damn anyway ? |

It seems the interest for NODE has been decreased.
Bter's case stole NODE's expectations.
Nodecoin has leprosy? Because no exchange want to add? Sounds like a good project. These days exchanges are as corrupt as banks. They wont add new coin just because its based on new source code or its innovative  Horseshit and you know it. |

It's common practice to publish source code for review. Exactly for the reason mentioned in that my post. Noone needs any grounds to assume that software is insecure, all programs working with cryptography and financial stuff are assumed insecure until audit is done. It is one thing to assume and ask for the code. It is another thing to... after Jinn is released.

Hi. I can not start local harvesting getting :ERROR 401
This operation cannot be completed because it might leak a private key by sending it to a remote NIS.
And I can not delegated harvesting getting: ERROR 306
An error occurred that the development team did not have foreseen. Apologies for this, maybe a retry might help. Otherwise, please open up an issue within the NEM NIS/NCC community.

Tried about anything but to no success. need help. First one sounds like you're trying to harvest locally on a remote node which is a bad idea for the reason stated in the message. Second one is hard to tell. Could you upload logs ? |

The real question is who will be the first NEM merchant?  Well said. Profiteers/dumpers wanting price to shoot up are whinging about exchanges. real Nemsters want to use it. You want different places to ensure nems value first. From first hand experience with node, exchange listing should be priority ATM. I disagree. IMHO NODE has other problems and that's why it's value went to shiz. I mean why was such a big chunk of NODE on Bter when it got hacked ? Because everyone wanted to be ready do dump - at least that's my theory. Wrong, nobody else wanted to list node. The Dev kept blaming us but a lot of us tried for months. We were ready to see node grow, unfortunately bter bull*** affected us by not having other exchanges listing node. A monopoly is not good for decentralized currencies, just look at how central banks can manipulate fiat easily. I'm not saying we NEM should try to get listed on other exchanges. I'm saying it's not as important as some people make it out to be at least not imho. Also we are 2 days past launch and have Poloniex and Coingateway (which means you can pay with XEM wherever you can pay with BTC). That's not bad imho. Give it time people. |

Hi guys i just saw this post and i downloaded wallet bought 200k NEM's at poloniex and transffered part of it to wallet. Now im gonna activate that harvesting thingy...can someone tell me how much can i expect and how doest it all work. Also i run a small but growing online shop at www.cryptowarehouse.org....can i accept this coin..i love the concept devs look legit and cool and i believe in bright future of this coin.. thanks all Hi, If you bought your XEMs just now then you will have to wait until enough of them are vested before you can start to harvest. 10% of your XEM are vested each day so you should only have to wait 1 day. You can expect to harvest blocks regularly but noone can tell you how much XEM that'll give you since not every block has tx-fees. You see when someone makes a tx the fee is rewarded to the person harvesting that block. If no tx are in a block there are no XEM to reward the harvester. Sure you can accept XEM at your shop. Try contacting the guys in my signiture it used to be atomic trade and also have a separate exchange just for crypro to fiat. i can put who ever in touch with them directly
We need some bigger and reputated exchanges. So it this what this thread is going to be come now? Whining about lack of exchanges (2 days after launch mind you) like in the NODE thread ? Want more exchanges ? Go contact them. Show interest. If they see people want XEM there they may add it sooner. |

Need another exchange ASAP. Poloniex is not enough + awfull, hurtful trollbox conversations about nem, which, i bet, isn't the best marketing for NEM
Poloniex imho the best among the smaller exchanges. Anyone that gives anything about the trollbox shouldn't buy any coins. More exchanges are afaik in the works but it doesn't have a huge priority imho. Unlike other projects exchanges aren't NEMs endgame. |

1) The devs harvest with their coins and thus add to chain security.
2) First nem core will be released and then the rest. But there is not yet a definite time scale.
Is it possible to get source code related to PoI? Without other parts it can't be used to clone NEM so there shouldn't be issues, right? Perhaps it maybe faster for you to decompile it. I am sure you are just as good as those hackers who could/may/can decompile to hack the system. Obfuscated source is probably not a lot of fun to read. It might have been a better idea to just ask todo a code review in private instead of trying to back the devs into a corner. |

Theoretical:
1. I have 2 different PC's
2. Creating new different wallets on both of them.
3. Creating new account with the same private key in both of them.
4. Starting harvesting locally in two different PC's with the same account.
Questions:
A. Will this kind of harvesting work with the same account on 2 different PC's?
B. Will this configuration increase POI for account?
Should work I think, won't increase POI score. |

I still cannot figure out delegated harvesting. I have followed the guide, but I don't know what to enter as "host" in the remote server menu. I have localhost by default but that brings up the error 699 maximum number of harvesters reached.
I have waited the 6 hours.
You are probably already harvesting locally on that node. Since 1 harvester is the default maximum you can't also delegate harvest on that node. You don't necessarily need a remote hose to use delegated harvesting so localhost is fine. |

I also posted this on the NEM forum.
I've tried twice to send XEM to Polo, but the transactions remain on pending and after one hour they time out.
What can I do about this?
I have the latest client (of course), blockchain is synched, my accounts are added correctly.
are you adding the unique message? Yes, I do. The transaction never gets picked up by the blockchain.
Also, have you contacted Poloniex?
The transaction never leaves my wallet, so there isn't anything Poloniex can do about that. Is your NIS synced ? Please check your system time and see if it's way off. |

i harvested two blocks with a modest 675000 coins, shitz workin fine
great to non-whales harvesting.. shows that no one has any major power over the network and encourages many more people to harvest.  just hit a juicy one lolol, difficulty will probably increase big as many harvesters will join but yeah it's pretty encouraging for modest steaks What does the "block difficulty" really mean? How "much importance" that is currently harvesting? And luckygenough56 what block number were those blocks? my importance score is 1.51% yes please show of some more of your great photoshop skillz |
