If I start local-harvesting and then shutdown NIS will the harvesting instantly stop? And can the same NIS local-harvest on more than one account at the same time? Is it enough to change something in the config? Btw. it's strange that http://nembex.nem.ninja doesn't use the same importance unit as NCC does

i harvested two blocks with a modest 675000 coins, shitz workin fine
great to non-whales harvesting.. shows that no one has any major power over the network and encourages many more people to harvest. just hit a juicy one lolol, difficulty will probably increase big as many harvesters will join but yeah it's pretty encouraging for modest steaks

How "much importance" that is currently harvesting? And luckygenough56 what block number were those blocks?

Is it enough to change something in the config? Btw. it's strange that http://nembex.nem.ninja doesn't use the same importance unit as NCC does If you shutdown NIS it can't harvest...simple as that. You should be able to harvest with more than one account on 1 NIS but you need to raise the limit in the config file (as you suggested)

confirmed. (unless it's completely closed in both directions then you can't communicate with the network at all and therefore you can't push any blocks) Still you should open the port if possible.

If I start local-harvesting and then shutdown NIS will the harvesting instantly stop? If you want to harvest without leaving your computer on, you have to connect to a remote NIS and start delegated harvesting there. Then you can shut down your client and computer - the remote NIS will keep harvesting for you, as long as it will not be shutdown itself. And can the same NIS local-harvest on more than one account at the same time? Is it enough to change something in the config?
You mean: Can more than 1 account harvest on 1 NIS? - Yes, but you have to change the configuration for this: Shutdown NIS, then go to the nem application directory (whereever you installed it) and then inside the folder "nis" there is a config.properties. Open it with a text editor and change this line: to this: It probably depends on your hardware, but it is recommended to not go higher than 3 for this.

I also posted this on the NEM forum.
I've tried twice to send XEM to Polo, but the transactions remain on pending and after one hour they time out. What can I do about this?
I have the latest client (of course), blockchain is synched, my accounts are added correctly.

Is important how many XEM someone has in his wallet for harvesting ? Or do i just need to have 1000 and have the same harvesting "chance" like others with millions ?

When I shutdown NIS while having NCC open with me being logged into my wallet and then start NIS again I get this message. Shouldn't it start automatically even if I just restarts NIS? NIS needs to be booted. Please open your wallet and boot a local node via the popup dialog or configure the auto-boot setting. (at block 3663)

It does matter how much XEM you have. POS is still an integral part of POI.

Did you do the Generate Message that is asked of you prior to the deposit? Its needed to identify your account so they know who is depositing.

The transaction never leaves my wallet, so there isn't anything Poloniex can do about that.
