hey guys hope you can help me with this noob question. The volume today is really high. but the price is stil going down. what does the volume mean to the price?
If you call this high volume then you must be new. A month ago we were seeing 1500+ BTC trading. Im indeed new here (one of the losers who bought at 300k). but can you tell me what the meaning is of a "high" volume? what does it mean for the price for example? You're not a loser for buying at 300k, you only lose if you sell. Hang in there and let the team work their magic, the price will follow in due time. Volume is simply how many Bitcoins change hands for a given coin in a 24 hour period. Higher volume means that a lot of coins are changing hands, lower volume means that not much trading is going on. The price x quantity = volume. im in xc for the long run. but it hurts to see my money half haha. I know this feeling, but then if you just buy more while its low, when it goes back up, the % you are down will be smaller and when it gets back to 300k = profits! |

I bought some Doge today hoping the block halving would help boost the prices so i can cash out and get more xcs... but i guess there is just tooo much doge that the halving doesnt matter.. cause there is still plenty of doge to be mined.

Im sorry for stupid question , but i want to tranfer my coins from MP to wallet , so should i download XCv0.9.2.40XCurrency-2.42.zip ? Is it version 2.42 or what? And then transfer coins from mintpal to wallet and i will get 3,33% from my coins in 1 year? If someone can explain, it would be nice, because i held my coins at mintpal and never had XC wallet thankyou very much. Yes what you have said is correct. there is a guide on the website that is easy to follow. http://www.xc-official.com/walletyes, i saw it, but should i do something more to get that 3,33% or only transfer XC coins to the wallet? When i get my first coins after transfering to wallet? should i hold my wallet open everytime when my computer is on? "When your app is unlocked, you are able to make transactions. If you don't want to make transactions, but only want to earn interest on your funds, check the “For staking only” box as shown." So basically, tick the for staking only box when you unlock the wallet. Im probably not the best one to answer you as I haven't transfered mine from MP yet either as I am not 100% sure on a few things. For example does the wallet have to be unlocked for the coins to be staking? I'd wait on a better reply  |

I mean, we all know the reasons were so confident in XC, it seems so blatantly clear, but, like two of you have just said, you were dead cert on other coins and it went tits up.
No one else has had such an open dev team is that correct? The fact Dans linkedin was posted was the single reason I got into XC in the first place, and we've come a long way since then with the new team members, site, wallet, etc etc
I guess simply patience is key. if it gets below the 14's im gonna bust out another BTC. f**k it. lol
If you own a coin that you are just waiting for the pump to sell what value do you get out of posting anything in the thread that was would not inspire confidence? There in lies the answer to why everyone seems so confident in many of the coins they post about. With XC I would have no problem asking the tough questions if I had any because they would be meant to make the coin stronger. Heck even a week ago when I was still wasting time in pump and dumps to increase my xc holdings you wouldn't see me posting the questions going through my head in those threads because they would have caused much doubt. Hope that makes sense Yeah understand completely. I need to remember 90% are in crypto for pump and dumps. I've always been in it for the innovation. (and hopefully get a free trip to the moon on a real winner like XC) |

In all fairness to me, the other coin I mentioned was Namecoin and it's still #8 on the coin market cap list. It's not dead yet. The one thing my 3 main holdings have in common is an open and transparent development team. I don't think any coin will go mainstream without this and I believe it 100%. Before anyone mentions Satoshi, BTC has a huge team of developers that are publicly identified. Some of them even worked with Satoshi, so as far as I'm concerned BTC already has a transparent team and foundation. To the person that says CLOAK is a competitor, you need to ask yourself a couple of questions and step outside of your current opinion to answer it. Do you see the public accepting a coin named "CLOAK", developed by an unknown person? This is a very simple yet important question. The answer seems obvious to me. Good points all round. |

Just my 2 cents: hold your XC coins if you don't mind owning toys like Rolls-Royce Phantom. The adequate price is at least 0.2 btc, however we should be patient, Dan does not have 100 pairs of hands. The price fluctuations don't mean anything in short terms, the project needs to mature, like any other serious software project.
If you are going to pull numbers out of your ass, justify your reasoning. This is crypto....everyone pulls numbers out of their asses. Especially this gentleman @oblox, he seems to have huge experience with asses and pulling. Ah yes, resorting to childish behavior, how assy.  (im messing, lets keep things light hearted ay) |

If it means anything, I think there is a large consensus in our community that feel XC is almost as safe and risk free as BTC investments. But then again, do what you gotta do... In the end we'll all be laughing
I know, recently I have felt that XC is as safe as BTC, just... you never know for sure. its all a big gamble either way really. I Will be happy when this PoS issue is sorted. I was talking to a fella last week about CLOAK who said their dev had found an issue with PoS and they have fixed it. (or were in the process of) If theres an issue Im confident Dan can fix it. Cloak is XC's only competition in the long run I think. Alt coins need competition though to drive the devs to expand the offerings of their respective coins. I'm still a firm believer in XC however, Cloak seems to centered towards the crypto world while XC is striving to expand towards the entirety of population 1) why is Cloak competition? in my very limited knowledge, they use ring signatures which i thought was a blockchain bloat problem? (could be wrong here) 2) I agree 100% - I dont know any other coins that have the future plans of XC. main thing for the general population is a VERY simple GUI wallet, a way to buy XC in wallet, anon messaging as simple as whatssap. when we got that, We got the silkroad etc market too I'd expect. Is the darknet aware of XC yet??? |

i got 2btc in cold store and the temptation to spend them on XC is getting overwhelming but ... argh... its money i cant afford to lose (and your not even supposed to have that in bitcoin lol) so think im gonna have to let you lucky lot get them  |

Link to the short term roadmap seems to be down. I was sure it mentioned xnodes being integrated. I cant test at the mo as I cant mess about with my router.

In response to the attack that was carried out today on navajocoin.
While I am still reviewing the limited amount of information, based on my review of both the code and the available data, the attack was successful partly due to the 30 second block time.
XC use's a 90 second block time.
I am reviewing the additional variables & Proof of Stake code involved in this attacked for any potential issues
