For some reason all the posts related to http://www.paysafegulden.com were deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Means we're on the right track. Cheesy

Zou kunnen inderdaad, maar goed, als de overheid zo'n herinvoering doet wordt het er echt niet beter op hoor.

Very true  Grin

But I like to be able to convince my friends to download the guldencoin wallet as well. And they mainly have iPhones.
When they pay my bear at a pub in Euros, I would like to instantly pay them back in Guldens  Cheesy. How more people have Guldens in there wallets, how better the gulden is distributed, how better the future for the Gulden. Therefor, it is important that the App is accepted by Apple.

You can ask them to download it through the Guldenwallet website now so more people have the app, and use it. The more users sign-up through Testflight, the better case we can present to Apple. My girlfriend has the app on her iPhone as well, helped her a little with the Testflight route though, but it's easy enough.

Lastly- I, and I'm damn sure a lot of other business minded NLG holders, won't sell NLG at lower prices to fund projects for NLG.  There are a ton of project ideas I have for this coin, but I'm not selling out large portions of my wallet to make them happen.  I took fiat loans from family members to fund my current project because of the low NLG and BTC trading prices.  It's bad business, but I had to do it.  The price needs to go up.  If we can let that happen naturally by eliminating the 50% daily insta-sell, I think we'd be seeing a lot more community involvement.

-Fuse

I wouldn't sell mine either. I've paid for my projects out of my own pocket too, if the business is good I'll make that back anyway without putting a strain on the NLG price Smiley. Hope to have more details soon on my launches. Lot's of bugs to be fixed before I'm comfy launching Smiley

Still waiting for the final iPhone app.  Tongue

The current test version v0.6 works fine, but this week I got a problem with the indicated value in Euros. value '<0,01 euro' was displayed while the wallet has a lot of NLG. Does any one know what the reason and/or solution is for this problem? Can it be fixed  Huh

The NLG iPhone app 'Guldenwallet' should be accepted by Apple because there is also a wallet called 'bread wallet' (that works for the bitcoins) and looks exactly like the NLG wallet and is free to download from the app store as a bitcoin wallet.

Let the devs know in this topic https://forum.guldencoin.com/index.php?topic=508.0 about your iOS-issue please. ANN stuff might get lost along the way.

Your logic of it should be accepted by Apple due to the fact they've accepted Breadwallet is one I can understand, unfortunately it does not work that way. Chances of Apple accepting Guldenwallet straight into the App Store are slim, even if the app is 100% solid and up to their standards they can deny access because it is not a Bitcoin, Litecoin or Dogecoin app (yes, they can be that illogical). Be prepared for a big fat no, if it's a yes then we have all the more joy and less disappointment Wink
Thanx Buerra, I placed the message at the other forum.

It would be very sad when the app is not excepted. It is the only way to do the payments at subway or other commercial businesses.

People who have the Guldenwallet on their iPhones now can use it though. So you should be good if the issues you raised are fixed Wink

Wow, this low hashing power of Clevermining is exceptional...

Just played a little. I have added around 1GH hashing power to the network, preventing the diff drops below 400. That worked out fine.
Clever didn't lower the hashing power, but Clever will only jump in when the diff is low. At current price (445 @ Bittrex ATM) that diff level is around 400.

nice!. I remember one bus stop in Utrecht central, where i put the sticker, but because i had to wait for the bus there, in the beginning there was nobody, but after 5 min there were like 15 people waiting for the bus, and all of them were looking at the sticker, epic!. Just like it couldn't get any better, one guy just says out loud  "Eindelijk de Gulden terug, dat heeft lang geduurd!". Priceless!

Keep posting positive messages like this. Nice reaction, indeed from that guy. Smiley The stickers do there work. Those stickers get more attention than the scan-me stickers, I think, because there is text on it now.

We are on the brink of a new era in the Netherlands soon, I'm sure. The simulator and new algo will be good news in cryptoland, we will do promotion outside. Once the snowball gets rolling it can go very fast. Just patience is needed for a little more time.

ny2cafuse, plug and play mining hardware is a very good idea, but this requires hardware design and manufacturing, which is not easy. Still, if you could  incorporate a raspberry pi board into a miner, and modify minera, users could easily put the miner in their basement and just plug in the power, and access the miner via a web interface like minera.

This was the original idea back when GSDs first came out.  Single or dual 5 chip GSDs, sans fans, attached to a RPi, inside of a custom case the size of a soup can.  A simple, guided interface to set a pool from a list, which is updated on the back end for ease of use, and a place to put a username/password/wallet address.  With prices the way they are now, and the new $20 Rpi coming out, this could be done on the cheap.  It's not going to make people millions, or even make a return, but it would raise awareness and get miners into the hands of non-miners.

If anyone is serious about doing this, let me know(dev team?).  My team might get behind this again and work towards making this a reality.

-Fuse

Meije does 3D design, maybe come up with a themed case. I like the web-interface idea. Just fill out your NLG address and start mining.

"Is nobody seriously going to say how ridiculous these suggestions are?" (Buerra)

and

"total premine isn't that smart" (veertje)

OK, maybe you are right, who knows. But could you please explain why you think so? Thanks.

What Jero said.

An idea for the solution of the current Guldencoin algorithm problem:

-leave it like it is
-premine all remaining-to-be-mined NLG coins
-launch a gigantic Christmas-Guldencoin-promotion and distribute the premined NLG coins for free among the broadest part possible of the Dutch population

After that, Guldencoin will advance in an unparalleled way.

Great idea! But come up with ideas of distributing fairly Grin

I'm pretty sure the Criptoe team would insta-sell their millions at that point.

Some people get behind coins like NLG because they like the dynamics from the start.  Complete changes like cpu mining, POS, or total mine out and distribution, aren't what some of us signed up for.  Difficulty algorithm aside, the coin is good the way it is.  Let it ride out to it's destiny.

-Fuse

Is nobody seriously going to say how ridiculous these suggestions are? Pre-mine the remaining NLG coins. It blew my mind the first time I read it, and not in a good way. Maybe come up with a way to get people into NLG with the existing free 100NLG. A Christmas-Guldencoin-promotion, that could work if we do a X-MAS themed give-a-way based on the 100 free NLG people can request. How would you go about promoting it to the country?

@Fuse I can understand if you would. Guldencoin needs mining, like mining needs miners. POS is a huge no-go at this point and pure cpu-mining will fuck up a lot of existing miners too and we will have a lot less miners, most likely. What we could do is make current mining easier to understand by creating plug&play-type hardware. It's all still a bit in the tweaker-o-sphere. I know a little bit about computers, but I find it pretty hard to mine with current mining-equipment. Let alone that my mom or sister would do this. If we could find a way to get more miners that just need a simple device or can use cloud mining for an affordable EUR-price, we would have a good influence on both mining and getting more users in for NLG. On both a technical level and a usability-level. Because we can use Guldencoin in real life, which is a huge plus alongside being able to mine a coin that is worth money.

For example, set up a Betarigs website where people can pay with euro's and the rig-operators get paid in Bitcoin. That would eliminate a step that people find weird now. Buy Bitcoin > Buy hashing > Mine NLG .. Wait what? So if we could make it Buy hashing > Mine NLG and keep on adding to the usability of our coin. We're golden.

I am under the impression that many of you want to go too fast, without realizing that it's going as fast as it can at the moment. We're not even at a snowball-effect yet. Have you told your friends, family, co-workers about Guldencoin yet? Realize that Guldencoin has a lot of potential. If giving away free coins was easy we would've had 4-5-6 times the requests already. Because we haven't been outside of the news at all - https://guldencoin.com/news. We've been on TV, newspapers, interviews, Russia Today, radio and online on several websites. There are a lot of people aware of Guldencoin, they really are, and I've spoken to about 800 possible merchants.

That's right. 800. And their response was always "not yet, we're waiting to see where it goes" or "is this a legal form of payment?" and they are currently waiting for us to step up. Like LTEX said, once you have the users the merchants will follow easily. It's always a chicken-egg situation. And the fact that we have 60 merchants with our current amount of users is awesome. Want Guldencoin out there? Get to it. Tell your friends.

I missed this post, I did however receive 10,000 NLG from you (just checked it as I saw my wallet address in there Smiley). Thank you very much brobeans. Much appreciated.

The normal users are already familiar with using the Guldencoin wallet. Why not using those wallets to provide some more steady hashing power to the network. Users can choose in their wallets how much power they want to contribute (this option is already there), and for every full day that they leave their wallet open and contribute to the network they receive a little NLG reward. In this way they don't have to do technical stuff and it feels like they receiving NLG for free.

In my surroundings most of the people are interested in NLG (specially free NLG) but don't want to learn about the technical mining part.

You mean like this? http://www.projectgulden.nl/92/rekenkracht-bijdragen-aan-het-guldencoin-netwerk/ but standard and with an easy UI or something?
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] Guldencoin.com/pay-here — Meet our awesome community on: November 12, 2014, 06:05:56 PM
I recommend we do not ban, but look into getting more users to mine and if that's possible with cloud mining for example. That sounds like two birds one stone. A much better solution then banning an IP.
