"Is nobody seriously going to say how ridiculous these suggestions are?" (Buerra)

and

"total premine isn't that smart" (veertje)

OK, maybe you are right, who knows. But could you please explain why you think so? Thanks.

ny2cafuse, plug and play mining hardware is a very good idea, but this requires hardware design and manufacturing, which is not easy. Still, if you could  incorporate a raspberry pi board into a miner, and modify minera, users could easily put the miner in their basement and just plug in the power, and access the miner via a web interface like minera.

This was the original idea back when GSDs first came out.  Single or dual 5 chip GSDs, sans fans, attached to a RPi, inside of a custom case the size of a soup can.  A simple, guided interface to set a pool from a list, which is updated on the back end for ease of use, and a place to put a username/password/wallet address.  With prices the way they are now, and the new $20 Rpi coming out, this could be done on the cheap.  It's not going to make people millions, or even make a return, but it would raise awareness and get miners into the hands of non-miners.

If anyone is serious about doing this, let me know(dev team?).  My team might get behind this again and work towards making this a reality.

Meije does 3D design, maybe come up with a themed case. I like the web-interface idea. Just fill out your NLG address and start mining.

OK, maybe you are right, who knows. But could you please explain why you think so? Thanks.

1) There is already a premine, that has still to be distibuted to the masses.
2) When all is premine at once, the value will be none at once.
3) Foreign investors are warmly welcome. Guldencoin is a very trustfull coin for all early investors and we have to keep it that way.

Jero, i agree with you that big mining farms pose a big threat to Guldencoin if the mining adoption in the Netherlands stays behind. That's why there has to come some good solution  in the near future like Cloud-mining, or very simple miners, like ny2cafuse suggested. It sucks to want to make something and just not having the funds for it...That's why cloud-mining for NLG in not very realistic right now. Non the less, the software part is the most difficult to set up. I guess i will have to start to develop some c++ skills.

For sure, a snazzy prototype could be made via 3d printer, and then produced in bulk by Chinese manufacturers on the cheap.  Only issue would be securing mining boards.  They aren't being produced anymore, but can be bought in the forums/ebay.  Doesn't necessarily have to be GSDs either, could be any low wattage small miner.  I have some connections in the old GSD sales arena that might be able to source some hardware.  No promises though.

Not entirely difficult.  Minera is open-source... just needs modifying.  I bet a competent designer could write a front end gui to fill in the back end mining, sans minera GUI.  All the internal code is there, it just needs to be reworked.

To simplify things even further, p2p or nomp style pools would be preferred so that the username input is just the wallet input.  No prior pool setup with accounts.  If MPOS style pools are used, there should be an easy tutorial on how to sign up for a pool.

I can design, and 3D print anything!, no problem. Buying a cheap 3D printer would be a good idea if you intend to print many of them because buying at shapeways is much more expensive.

LTEX, your stickers are almost gone, they are everywhere now, i am sure allot of people have seen them, unfortunately some have been removed, but most of them are still there, not always legal  Shocked Cool. I traveled half the Netherlands to put these stickers on crowded places, and hope it pays off.

Wow. Nice man!

I did it in may or june with the scan-me stickers at busstops etc.  in the north. Most have been removed by now, but have done some work, I'm sure.

nice!. I remember one bus stop in Utrecht central, where i put the sticker, but because i had to wait for the bus there, in the beginning there was nobody, but after 5 min there were like 15 people waiting for the bus, and all of them were looking at the sticker, epic!. Just like it couldn't get any better, one guy just says out loud  "Eindelijk de Gulden terug, dat heeft lang geduurd!". Priceless!

Keep posting positive messages like this. Nice reaction, indeed from that guy. Smiley The stickers do there work. Those stickers get more attention than the scan-me stickers, I think, because there is text on it now.

We are on the brink of a new era in the Netherlands soon, I'm sure. The simulator and new algo will be good news in cryptoland, we will do promotion outside. Once the snowball gets rolling it can go very fast. Just patience is needed for a little more time.

Market price drops again and clever backs off to below 50% again.

Right, we know where it's not profitable any more.

For keeping us out the danger zone and support the price a trading range of 400-450 would ne nice, but this is up to the market.
After the algorithm change there will be room in the higher regions.

If we also add hashpower in the meantime, maybe Clevercoin loses interest...
This weekend I have a look at Betarigs again.

In the context of adding more hashpower I have another idea:

If people make donations they can rent hashing power and add this adres as worker.
In short: if people make donations by renting hashpower they support the network and donation still occurs.

If there are some people wanting to donate GuldencoinWeb this way, you're welcome ;-) GJDgmDQm7x9xJfxzbdSGGBGnhUq46Cpxty

Another good project to donate is of course: http://www.villaticca.com/nl/

Let's bring this Gulden back to the Netherlands folks!

I've been thinking about how to go up in market price when clever is low... the only thing is to add hashing power. But that isn't really sustainable without an increasing flow of money into the hashing effort.

Wow, this low hashing power of Clevermining is exceptional, never saw it this low (and it's still decreasing) before. In the last couple of days these lower prices weren't reason for Clevermining to decrease the hashing power so dramatically like they do today. Maybe they are slowly retreating after all the comments overhere  Cool

Just played a little. I have added around 1GH hashing power to the network, preventing the diff drops below 400. That worked out fine.
Clever didn't lower the hashing power, but Clever will only jump in when the diff is low. At current price (445 @ Bittrex ATM) that diff level is around 400.
