Don't let white ball cricket confuse you, Kohli always comes to bat at no.4 in the test format and no.3 was Pujara but going forward Gill was assigned and so far he is inconsistent but last match century and again at 65 looks like team India will be happy to continue playing him further in this series.

About Indian bowling, yes they did pretty amazing from the stage where ENG finished day 2 and come up with better strategy than waiting for things to happen. Good to see Siraj utilised properly in this match but in the first test he hardly bowled so it reduced the workload of Bumrah.

Now India has to bat for another 60 overs then Target will be over 500 even if they score at very slow run rate.

Indian bowling was quite good without Ashwin they still managed to get the English team out and have a good lead. Gill has not been inconsistent he is again going to get his century for the second time in this test series. He is taking time to get set and he has been playing very defensively I agree as he is not that kind of a batter. I am enjoying how Kuldeep has been playing today and with the way he is going he might get his half-century. After him, we have Sarfaraz Khan and he did get his half-century after his debut in the second innings he would be eyeing his century. The concern is Patidar he was brought in as a replacement of Iyer and he is batting far worse than Iyer.
702  Local / India / Re: Consequences of skipping 30% capital gains tax! on: February 18, 2024, 04:39:41 AM
I just came across many interesting threads in reddit subforum where Indians are saying that IT won't give any penalty charges even for someone who pays zero rupees as tax, which is entirely incorrect.

Usually IT department works at the slowest pace and we will get notices for missed tax payment after 3-5 years only unless the amount involved in other criminal activity and the tax need to be paid over 50L or so. Few CA said people received notices in 2023 for the missed payment of the financial year 2018-2019, so no matter what never skip tax payments if you have made transactions over 10L or over in all of your accounts because everything combined under our PAN so it on't be much harder for them to track all our bank records.

Also, I am interested to know what will be the charges if someone doesn't pay tax? I thought added amount along with tax money but I can see they can imprison an individual too up to 3 years, so if you know please share. Smiley

30 percent tax if not paid can lead to harsh penalties and a few years in jail if ignored. Skipping TDS will cause 7 years of jail term and a penalty depending on the amount skipped. The problem is with TDS, as you can show zero capital gain by using stable coins and not trading on Indian exchanges. Not paying TDS and using P2P services will cause issues later on and for that, you would receive a letter from the IT department. Do not think that they will not go after individuals who did transactions that were less than 10 lac in a year. That is a myth as they generally go after accounts that have 10 lac and above transactions first and then later on they go after less-valued accounts.
703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 18, 2024, 04:26:56 AM

Actually they are three down. Yashasvi Jaiswal is unlikely to bat again, as he is suffering from back spasms. And in quick succession, they lost another wicket when Rajat Patidar was nabbed by Tom Hartley. As of now, their two strike bowlers (Hartley and Root) have picked up one wicket each. If James Anderson and Mark Wood can support them, then there is a chance that the target can be brought down to 400-450. Even 400 can be a near impossible task, given the spin-friendly conditions at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

Jaiswal won't be able to make a come back and that will not be an issue. Patidar getting out cheaply in the first and in the second innings will not help him in his career graph. Gill is batting well and he should be able to get his second century in this series which is a good sign. India already has a lead of 340 runs adding another 160 runs before day 4 ends will be sufficient for the Indian team. The bowling unit got a small setback due to Ashwin leaving the third test but Rohit was able to utilize Shiraj yesterday which helped the Indian side to make a comeback. I think the Indian team is now in a good position to control the outcome of this test match.

^ Unfortunately he got run out after scoring his maiden 50 on debut because of Ravindra Jadeja's call. His younger brother is also a cricketer and recently he was a member of the U19 World Cup squad. His name is M Khan and he made two centuries in the tournament and also took wickets as a spin bowler. The first innings is over for him and in the second innings if he plays in the same manner then he will be sealing his position in the test team. Ultimately it would help him to secure his position in the ODI team also.
705  Local / India / Re: Suggestion! Access Banned International Exchanges with VPNs that Accepts Crypto. on: February 15, 2024, 05:09:26 AM
If anyone is interested in using a CEX that is not banned then try Bybit exchange. It has good trading pairs and also decent volume. It doesn't allow trading without passing KYC which is an issue if someone here hates KYC. Another alternative is dYdX which is a DEX that to has good pairs and decent volume for trading. KYC is not required as you need to connect your wallet for trading. For P2P if anyone is interested in converting crypto to INR there are DEX like localmonero that have good merchants who don't scam users.

The third test between India and England has begun with India winning the toss and elected to bat. 3 wickets have gone before the lunch and the situation is not looking good. Rohit is still batting with Jadeja and both are trying to hold on to thier wickets. The bowling of the English team is looking good and it looks like they might get a couple of more wickets before lunch.

708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano vs Ethereum on: February 13, 2024, 06:07:33 AM
Both have their own pros and cons but in terms of marketcap Cardano is way behind. It was once called as an Ethereum killer but failed due to delay in development of it's infrastructure. In terms of investment both are coins that provide staking opportunities and both should be kept for long term gains.
709  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: February 13, 2024, 05:51:07 AM
^ Not all batters can play defensive, they need to play thier natural game. When Virendra Sehwag started playing defensive his career got over. Rohit trying to play defensive these days and he is not able to get runs. The opening to middle order of Indian U19 team is not made of defensive batters. They generally bat according to the requirements of the game. What they did on the final day was getting choked in a similar way like the men's team did to.

Disappointing start by South Africa, they have already lost 6 wickets on the first day. Not many runs on the scoreboard, just 220 runs. Ironically South Africa won the toss and took batting, looks like a bad decision to me. Rachin Ravindra had a good first test will the bat and now is having a good time with the ball, took 3 wickets on day 1.
711  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: February 11, 2024, 02:27:18 PM
The current situation of the Indian-U19 team is looking similar to what the men's team experienced earlier. India has already lost 6 wickets in the 30th over with a score of 115 runs. It is not looking good as the asking run rate is going up, not a pleasant site to watch. Never expected to see a repeat performance of the previous World Cup.
712  Local / India / Re: Beware! Gov Planning a Cracks Down on Crypto Traders Evading Binance Ban on: February 11, 2024, 02:21:48 PM

For me it's weird to see government targetting crypto tax evaders because usually government doesn't give **ck even who evade taxes in crores and also if I am not wrong they only will push the evaders to pay the pending tax with little more penalty as punishment but here they are hammering with strict standards which makes me wonder is this really India's decision of US like governments forcing India to behave like that.

Just weird assumption but I feel something is behind targetting crypto.

The thing is that the government is more focused on getting tax income from cryptocurrency traders and that is why they are going for the kill. After the PayTM bank fiasco wherein a lot of accounts were connected to a single PAN and all these accounts were used for money laundering, it is clear that the government suspects those 4000 accounts are linked to the same issue.

The rich in this country have been known to evade tax or steal taxpayer's money and run to another country. That has been done for many years now under the watchful eyes of the government and still, they cannot get hold of them. That is why they are turning to those who are not rich but may be pawns of the rich or maybe genuine traders or maybe middle-class individuals who can easily be held responsible for the loss to the exchequer and their incompetence.
713  Local / India / Re: A New crypto futures Exchange is in line - Pi42 on: February 11, 2024, 05:09:37 AM
What is the use of such tactics to hide VDA tax using a loophole in the law? The government would come up with an update on the current law and then what will happen to the users. There was a time when such tactics were used to manipulate the stock market. The government at that time was helpless as the technology was primitive and India was struggling economically and we all know what happened later on who were in jail and who were not. Already there are many issues that the crypto community is facing in India and the future option does not look so bright for the future.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t you think BRC20 tokens need more spotlight? on: February 11, 2024, 04:51:49 AM
Apart from spamming the Bitcoin network amd spiking the Bitcoin transaction fees I don't see any real purpose of BRC-20 tokens. They don't have any real case use like Bitcoin and they are a bunch of useless shitcoins. That is why while Bitcoin is gaining an upper price spike they are still heading sideways or are in red. I don't think the existing tokens have any hopes in the future and like a lot of altcoins they would die too.

The final match of the U19 World Cup 2024 will be played today. Both teams have played extremely well in the entire tournament. But, the semifinal between Australia and Pakistan showed the weak batting of Australia. They were struggling to get 180 runs on the scoreboard to win the semifinal game. India has been quite dominant in the entire tournament and has a strong batting depth. As per the bookies India is the favourite to win, which I do belief. Still it is the finals and it will be a game of pressure and skills.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 10, 2024, 04:52:18 AM
No official news but it looks like Shreyas Iyer complained about back spasm (an unofficial term for dropping from the team)  Grin and might not feature in 3rd test.

BCCI are still keeping things tight on squad announcements because they are waiting for updates on KL Rahul and Jaddu's injuries and we know how long it takes letters to be delivered by Indian post so reasonable excuse.  Wink

There is speculative news circling in different media outlets that are saying that Kohli won't be available for the last three test matches. Pujara might be called in as his replacement and he would be part of the team for the three tests. BCCI was supposed to announce the final squad yesterday and there was a delay due to Kohli's unavailability in announcing the names. Pujara has been in form and has won a century in the Ranji trophy so I guess if the news is correct then he would replace Kohli.
717  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: February 10, 2024, 04:23:40 AM
NCA reports Iyer is having back stiffness and might miss the third series and we all know what this stiffness meant to be and finally the team management make some changes that they were reluctant to do.

Another huge miss will be Virat will not be available until 4th test so the real test for Indian middle order is there in this series and I hope KL Rahul will come back and give some strength if he swaps Shreyas spot but interested to see who is going to be the WK batsman because management made it clear KL will not be WK for this series and Bharat didn't do well in the 4 innings to consider him giving chances further.

A few news outlets are speculating that Pujara might be called for the rest of the series. He recently scored a century in the ongoing Ranji trophy and is in good nick to be part of the team. Jadeja won't be playing the rest of the matches anymore due to his injury the same goes for Iyer. Kohli has withdrawn from the remaining test as he has not confirmed it to the selection committee and the team management. I do not think Bharath would be replaced he will continue to be part of the team in the third test although he has been very bad with wicketkeeping and batting.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🟣OFFICIAL SOLANA THREAD 🟣 [ Discuss everything about Solana here ] on: February 10, 2024, 03:56:21 AM
Right now 10th February 1 SOL is worth: $109,65

Your prediction for the next 24 hours? Below $100 or stabilize over $100?  Smiley

It has already gone above $109 and is now at $110.29, the way Bitcoin is pumping I was expecting $SOL to be at $120. I should reach that price point if the market remains green by next week. It is still below its all-time high that it had achieved in 2021 and there is still scope for it to break it before Bitcoin halving. This might be the first time I have seen Bitcoin in green before halving.

Pakistan bowling has been the best in the World Cup. They are now doing the same against Australia's batting. They have managed to get 4 wickets and they might get more. The runs have literally dried down as Australia is struggling. I hope Pakistan can defend the target and win today.

720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats the new narrative? on: February 08, 2024, 07:15:20 AM
what's the latest narrative circulating in the crypto space these days?

AI and crypto are the latest narratives in the crypto space. The intersection of AI and crypto is gaining traction, some projects are exploring AI trading algorithms and AI-based analysis of blockchain data. I think the next thing that would be trending in the upcoming bull run would be AI-powered cryptocurrencies. Some of them are already trending in the current market condition.
