701  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: February 28, 2020, 01:44:02 PM
"Payment system" could be one of the worst ways to explain what bitcoin is Cheesy. Paypal is a payment system, bitcoin is not a payment system, you do not buy 3 paypal and sell it for higher later on Cheesy. Bitcoin is usually considered a commodity, not like fiat currency but not like paypal neither, it is in between, gold is a lot more like bitcoin. That is why many people called bitcoin e-gold as well. Can you spend gold to buy something? It is possible, if it is a legit gold piece that you can give, I am sure some places would take it, not a lot but not a lot accepts bitcoin neither.

The only difference is, bitcoin is digital, so you can just pay it online and order something. Basically, an evolved and better version of gold instead of better version of dollar like many people think.
702  Economy / Economics / Re: How regulation affects the crypto price on: February 25, 2020, 08:29:20 PM
You do know that Bitcoin and decentralized cryptocurrencies are not like other assets that the government can easily tamp down with regulations. Bitcoin is different and since it is spread across different nations through ledgers it is hard for the government to regulate it in any way. If it was like other assets they would have try to put control on it to reduce the supply and make it scarce.

For them to be able to control Bitcoin they will all have to join together , though there are still some little ways that their regulation can have impact on Bitcoin, just like banning it, but it wouldn’t much. And it wouldn’t be possible for them to join hands together and control Bitcoin because they all have different opinions on it, some of them are in support of it while others are not.
703  Economy / Economics / Re: Bakkt is done? on: February 25, 2020, 07:54:16 PM
Some of you are fond of expecting too much from this cryptocurrency market but it shouldn’t be like that. I see some people and every little event they will tag it as a catalyst for the next bull run. Just like earlier this year on February 14th, someone was asking a question here whether the Valentine day is going to be leading us to another increase in price.

Why do people keep acting this way lol? That last year I knew that there is not going to be anything big about Bakkt being launched despite that a lot of people kept hyping it too much and coupled up with some predictions that are coming from influencers and experts, they all believed that bull run was going to be last year when Bakkt is launched. But that day can and passed and nothing special about it.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: honest opinion on our future gaming platform project. on: February 25, 2020, 07:11:20 PM
Honestly I never come across any game in the name of farkle, yes I am less active on social media platforms and I rarely do check for games. It seems like a modified version of dicing, anyway I guess it will be loved by this community when it will be addictive as explained by you. Really loving to experience first it in your portal.

Our betting currency will be 'bits' (0.000001BTC) So if you have 1,000,000 bits you have 1BTC.
Why you are too conscious about your base currency notations? Bits is good to have but providing the familiar thing to everyone must be the right thing to do. I mean you must have options for users to choose their own preferred base currency format for cryptos. So, you need to provide options like how electrum wallet is doing for example.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have anyone tried to stop gamblers from losing while they keep on wagering. on: February 25, 2020, 06:35:42 PM
I believe that most of the people here are into online gambling and this is the reason they are unable to stop any gambler who are continuously losing. I am also an online gambler but I do interact with my friends through skype and telegram more frequently and once I came to know about one of my friends who was continuously gambling and losing, I tried to stop him by advising him. Not sure what he did after that but I observed some changes in the activities that also through chat.

Advises are cost free and we may make them use of by giving to somebody who is deliberately needing that. I believe this community must be doing a great job for giving people many good suggestions and also giving gamblers few chances to realize their gambling activities and addiction levels. We are doing for some reason and it will be definitely contributing for the needy people one day or other.
706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Assess your gambling addiction level. on: February 25, 2020, 05:43:19 PM
Well honestly am at the beginners level.
I have this mindset that when i will i win still want to earn more but when i lost i want to play more just to gain back what i've lost.
-snip-

From your statement, I understand you are at level 2 (as per OP) and it would be better time to stop gambling or gambling only for entertainment purposes with the money what your affordable to lose. Forget your losses and focus on any other business to recover your losses in multi-fold.
Yes, in my opinion also trying to recover losses must be leading to big gambling addiction over the time. Because, the longer you will be staying with gambling, more chances you will be severely addicted. We should not gamble with our hard earned money even if we will be doing that then we should not bother about losses. We must accept losses and must move on, otherwise we will lose more money and will get addicted to gambling.

Being at beginners level of addiction and realizing how we're gambling must be good thing because if you are not assessing that you are gambling with your chances of gambling addiction then you will definitely will get addicted over the time. Everyone should realize what they are actually doing while gambling and must react to suggestions of this community for preventing gambling addictions.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: February 25, 2020, 05:10:24 PM
Nobody will say they have done something like this or they would do something like this, when you "talk" about it everyone would say that it is the most stupid idea they have ever heard of but the reality is when you look at the gambling world it is full of people who have taken a loan or get e debt somewhere and gambled with it.

I know it makes no sense and I would never do something like that, no person with a right set of mind would ever do something like that but some people just do it and you will not find those people here. I am not going to lie I have tried it once, asked for a loan from a friend to wager on something and thankfully he said no, if he said yes and gave me that money I would have wagered and worse I would have lost since my bet was a loss and I got saved thanks to him.
708  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss, A life saver or a evil? on: February 24, 2020, 08:29:54 PM
This kind of percentage isnt suggested yet price can swing up possibly 5% on daily basis which means your SL can easily be triggered up.So it isnt suggested on setting it up into these levels.

Of course this one is a life saver if you do know on how to use it but i do agree that it do have some sort of disadvantages.
Yes, I do not set stop-loss for my trading as I believe into cryptos and it may bounce back for sure. But, I guess for the people who are shorting bitcoins in bitmex like exchanges (not in sport trading) must need to make use of stop-loss levels to cut their losses earlier which will prevent them making their accounts fully exhausted.

I guess no one could have same style of trading on both spot trading and derivative trading. We need to follow certain set of rules based on where we do trade. This way sport trading may not require to use stop-losses but for derivative trading, we must need to use them.

710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read trading charts? on: February 24, 2020, 07:08:13 PM
How do you read charts because i am still exploring and i don't know how read a charts anybody can help me with this? What is the best way to learn reading charts in an easiest way.
There are a lot of different types of charts are available and there are methods to recognize the patterns in those charts. I have developed the skill of recognizing patterns in charts by learning from books. If I remember correctly, last time I checked that lot of the videos are available on youtube to explain you how to learn the skill of recognizing patterns in trading charts. You may start from them.

I am familiar with candle stick pattern recognizing and line chart patterns too. It would be highly recommended to start with candle stick pattern recognizing as it would be easier to understand how markets is being recorded as a chart.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when everybody buys the bottom ??? on: February 24, 2020, 05:38:11 PM
There will be no meaning of buying at the bottom when the reasons which caused that coin to hit bottom have not been resolved yet. Hope you are getting my point. I mean to say if a coin is set to dump for some reasons then we must ignore that coin rather than buying at bottom. Because, it is very much similar to catching a falling knife. A real potential coin will not get dumped up to the bottom for no reason. Only there will be no scope for a coin then it will get dumped.

Obviously, when more people are buying (at the any price levels regardless of it will be bottom are not) then definitely it will get pumped and it will set new ATH too. But, the point is how you will convince everyone to buy regardless of it is already hitting bottom as per your scenario?
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Need a Catalyst to push up prices on: February 24, 2020, 05:01:26 PM
What kind of catalyst you are talking about? If you are referring something which is in terms of huge money to manipulate and to pump it all the times then you must be 200% wrong.

The real catalyst for making some coin successful must be its use-case. Without a real world application no coin will be successful and if any coin is currently successful without any real use case then it will get dumped in very near future itself. Yes, success of a coin is truly depending on what kind of new thing it is bringing to this world and human life.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has Blockchain Technology revolution is successful or not? on: February 24, 2020, 04:24:39 PM
Since the introduction of the cryptocurrency (Bitcoin and Alts) and its revolutionary Technology called Blockchain, way back the year 2008 until now, what was the development they are contributed to our society and how the blockchain technology helping our current industries and services? is the Blockchain Technology revolution is successful or not? Is there any alternative drop in your opinion below!
I believe so for it is with a grand success and financial experts are finding blockchain technology is still in its early stage hence it will be too early to think about its final outcome. Because, more people around the globe yet to adopt it and only after at least 25% of all to world population are adopting, we will be able to find whether it will be successful or not.

Hope you are clear with what is cryptocurrency and what is blockchain technology. Blockchain technology is widely spreading out more faster than crypto currencies; it means it has all the aspects which are focusing on making human life much easier than what we are having today. So, definitely we can expect blockchain technology will be a common one for everyday life.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have some funds to invest-- How do I make a good decision? on: February 24, 2020, 02:16:13 PM
Yeah, it is always difficult, nobody really knows how to invest properly because nothing is a good investment forever, even the best things in the world will eventually cease to exist.

Even if you bought apple/amazon type of stocks 10-20 years ago and profited insanely today, you will eventually lose all your money in 50-100 years when they are gone, so you HAVE TO get out sometime, which is the deal here, not to find a good coin to buy and invest but to know when to get out, there has been a lot of people who have lost money due to prices going down but the number of people who didn't get out at the correct time and lost money are far greater than people who got in too late and simply just lost. Learn when to buy and what to buy, but master what to sell and when to sell it.
715  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are crypto advisers worth to be looking for? on: February 23, 2020, 08:12:01 PM
The trouble here is the fact that bitcoin is unpredictable and unregulated which means there is neither a method nor a person that could always be right. This is more like shooting a dart in the dark most of the time when big things happen, there is definitely calmer times like for example today where people would definitely know what to do and TA might help and basically many things that could profit you, however when we talk about those days with 10%+ movements those are unpredictable and nothing could stop bitcoin going down 30% or up 30% in few days which is why nothing could ever help you but luck. If you are lucky enough you will listen to some guy who will turn out to be correct or you will check some charts that will be correct, otherwise you will lose money if you are unlucky.
716  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona Virus is a Fake Flag to destroy China! on: February 23, 2020, 05:41:41 PM
I don’t really know if this true or not ,but any country that would do such a thing is very evil. Such a disease and is really fast in spreading and wiping out a lot of people in the country... Damn. Just like when it got into South Korea and at first it affected just a few people and before they knew what’s happening the number doubled and a lot of people were infected.

I even read a news that some US citizens were infected and flown home against the CDC's advice. I pray they really find a solution to this and stop it now before it becomes something worse.
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has the price of Altcoin stopped in one place? on: February 23, 2020, 04:03:14 PM
It seems that the price of Altcoin has stopped in one place and is getting lower. If the price of Altcoin stays at that fixed point, then it is very difficult for the price of Altcoin to fall. If the price of Altcoin now becomes too high, then people will start buying more and more, which will cause the price of Altcoin to go up. Is that right?

Investors will start buying altcoin when the price of Bitcoin moves up. Investors tend to speculate on altcoin when the price of Bitcoin goes up and I think this is reasonable because altcoin prices go up. In addition, the dominance of bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market will go down when altcoin prices start rising
I don't think the same. What I think is the time bitcoins would start showing us some growth would be the time when majority of the altcoin holders would sell their altcoins or convert them to bitcoins to get majority of their hands on bitcoins. Once bitcoins stabilizes, they would again sell bitcoins for majority of altcoins and it would be the time when altcoins would start growing again.

The time bitcoins start pumping would be the time for us to start buying altcoins also on a dip which would surely be hiked to a another peak where we have to sell those altcoins and wait for another dip. This is how the markets run according to me and it makes it easier for me to make profits in both bearish as well as the bullish markets.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOU need to Stop using YOUTUBE! come and check this new platform! on: February 23, 2020, 03:19:05 PM
I don't see anything wrong with Youtube and the need to stop it because there is a new one coming up. people have grown up using Youtube as a resource and entertainment and I don't see anything on these new platform, that can give us something better than Youtube when in reality they do not have something new to offer.
I think that before abandoning youtube, users should be presented not just a good resource, but a resource that would surpass YouTube many times in many ways.  I'm not sure that all users will be able to abandon youtube, even if some kind of alternative appears.  I believe that people who create such resources should primarily work on their projects and create healthy competition in the market of quality information in order to enable users to determine the resource that they need and need.
Most important resource for platform like OP mentioned would be the mass amount of community to generate a decent traffic onto the platform. I am sure that the whole and sole income of such platforms would be from displaying various advertisements similar to youtube ads but the project mentioned by OP would need a lot of viewers in order to generate a decent income from displaying the ads.

Youtube is been dominating the markers since a long time and I am sure that any newly launched similar project would also needs years to get started with. This might never be an easy task. You need to show huge benefits for the people so that they could stop using YouTube and shift onto your platform to browse various videos.
719  Economy / Economics / Re: Using of Blockchain in Election on: February 23, 2020, 02:28:30 PM
This is more of a "big country does it so small country follows it" type of deal and not the other way around. If some small nation does this that will not have a huge impact on the world politics, however if huge nations like USA starts doing it, that could change some stuff.

However, looking at those nations we see a lot of election fraud going on which is done by people who exactly profits from the election fraud, so someone who wins illegally won't put in a motion to make the elections more transparent, that would result with them losing. So in the end, we are looking at bad people to not do bad stuff yet again in politics and we all know how that goes on, it doesn't really do well. That is why I do not see it becoming federal at any level right now.
720  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: February 22, 2020, 06:38:22 PM
Two close games resulted in a life changing win for this Basketball fan 🏀
Comment your reaction to a win like this 😲

I am not entirely sure if 14 bitcoin would be "life changing" for someone who has 3 bitcoins to gamble. Don't get me wrong I do understand why 14 bitcoins or in general 142 thousand dollars would look like a life changing amount to you or anyone else, it is certainly life changing for me, if I ever had that kind of money I would literally never have to work again in my entire life because I live in a third world poor country so yeah it is life changing for all of us.

However, that dude wagered 30 thousand dollars into 2 basketball games, I am pretty sure nobody in the world who can put up 30 thousand dollars on 2 games would change their life if they lose or if they win, I think that is just more money for him to continue gambling and that's about it.
It is still gambling and it is still the thrill of winning. I too agree that nobody who can afford to spend 30k+ dollars on a ncaa game would change their lives from winning it, that is doesn't make any sense to me neither, however at the same time it is still a win. At the very least dude probably continue to gamble with that money but relativity gets smaller the higher the price gets.

Definitely, if you put in 300 dollars to gamble instead of 30 that is still a big difference for most of us, but when you wager 30k that is still a lot of money not because you are rich or poor but because comparison to what other things you could do with it.

For 30 thousand dollars you could go to Paris for a week and vacation there and come back while visiting great restaurants and historical things, for 300 dollars you could have a decent weekend at wherever you are, so it is not "tiny amount for a rich person" when it gets bigger since if you are super rich there is still other stuff you could do with that money, which is why winning is still quite important.
