701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC segwit activation: sell the news or mega-pump to mars? on: May 07, 2017, 03:01:57 PM
well i have already sold and made profit but also missed a lot of profit too. but i am not regretting anything. and you are right the charts look pumped too. i wanted to buy back in but i couldn't see a potential entry price so i finally gave up and went to sleep just to wake up to a higher price lol

now i am waiting for a good price to get in, otherwise i keep missing profit and i don't care because there will eventually be a correction and price rise is far from over

Fuck I can't believe I missed on 10+BTC gains because my stop loss got shaken out probably by fucking poloniex bots. Now I cant help but feel like an idiot entering the market now but at the same time I fear it may keep going up without any major retraces.

in a market like Litecoin that is rising or you are sure that it is rising you either have to not place a stop loss or have some automation in place that buys back after the stop loss is activated. i have been screwed because of stoploss so many times Wink

You can't automatically buy when you have a stop loss set, unless you want to divide your BTC stack into a stop loss order, and the other half into a buy order.

I like to go all in with the BTC I have on poloniex (all in doesn't mean 100% obviously, just the BTC i've sent to poloniex and tend to keep there for speculation).

I also went to sleep to wake up to bigger prices for 3 days, so it better fucking correct soon, this is painful, I could be making some massive gains.

It's just going to come down to wednesday. If there is a sell the news scenario, we'll see a big correction, so long term believers in LN in LTC can get in at a good price post pump. But of course, what if we see 0.03 or something before wednesday? at this pace is possible.... fuck.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / LTC segwit activation: sell the news or mega-pump to mars? on: May 07, 2017, 12:57:01 PM
Segwit activation will happen in 3 days. The question is clear: Are people going to sell the news again, just like in the lock_in of segwit with the activation, or will the activation news create a megapump?

Remember that sell the news is not always correct. With the Coinbase news, the price pumped hard.

The chart looks pumped tho, we haven't had a proper red candle yet, and I fear I may get back in right when some whale decides to cash out.

703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you use Bitcoin if it was proprietary/closed source software? on: May 06, 2017, 06:08:59 PM
Hell no, it is total nonsense to use closed source software, specially when it comes to software that is supposed to keep your money safe. The closed source software could easily contain code that sends your coins to the creator. It's just stupid, no questions asked.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: May 06, 2017, 03:04:11 PM
The real test to know if you have control lover yourself is being able to gamble in a way that isn't stupid mindless way, that is how you test your self control. But some people just have to quit 100% and stay away, those are the worst cases.

Im able to not able for 11 months, and then gamble at the end of the year in the vegas casino with some friends when I make a trip there, just for fun. If you cant enjoy it for fun then just quit.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you see LTC go? on: May 06, 2017, 02:20:58 PM
I believe another ATH will happened once the LTC segwit is done. Lets see, wait for LTC to dump more, then buy to experience the next pump.

Hey guys,

do you think LTC will make a new ATH and maybe even into tripple digits soon?

The problem is guessing when the dump will happen to buy back in. What if people decide to dump on segwit news? they may do this, so you miss the opportunity to buy there.

If the community is serious about LTC it should recover. If this is only a pump and dump, it will stagnate after segwit.

But I think it will not, since good news about lightning network etc will keep happening maintaining a nice uptrend.

Im waiting for a dump before segwit activation hopefully.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is DYING, LONG LIVE THE NEW KING LTC on: May 06, 2017, 12:44:59 PM
The irony on all of this is the fact that kiklo is one of the couple known anti segwit trollls that spend 24/7 posting segwit FUD, and the only reason that Litecoin is going up is thanks to segwit, because without segwit it would be yet another shitcoin, but now with segwit LTC is going to mars, and when LN is operative, it's going to pluto.

ShitWit has nothing to do with it.
LN is pretty useless on LTC, they don't have any transactions capacity issues to require offchain transactions.
Plus LN will require a banking license in the future, so for most it will be a complete waste of time.

Coinbase direct wallet is all that matters.

 Cool

It's all about segwit dumbass. Why do you think Coinbase added LTC? because segwit sparked interest in LTC again after it was a dead shitcoin. Now thanks to segwit, Lightning Network developers will move there.

LN will not require shit, stop the FUD and kys.

708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Planned or impulsive gambling? on: May 05, 2017, 03:24:40 PM
There's times to be impulsive and follow your gut feeling. Sometimes I saw technicals that were clearly telling me to not buy, but I trust my gut feeling, sixth sense, or whatever, impulsively made a big bet and I won a lot of money. So sometimes it pays off, but you can fuck up real bad, so be aware of that.

Sometimes impulsive playing works well than planned, though we really need a planned game to determine if were really winning or were losing too much , but if you have a lot of coins and not needing it for certain  there's no need to plan just follow your luck ,if its with you while playing.

I already experience this kind of scenario. Actually I always when I gamble on impulsive mood rather on Playing on plan I don't know why it always happened but the only thing I know is during my impulsive gambling, I don't care about the risk of losing and just keep betting until I win unlike my Planned gambling, I always care about on how to play safe and everytime I think about it then I'm always losing.

An example of a situation where I could have made money by being impulsive is with litecoin. Im waiting for litecoin to correct because the graph looks too pumped in the last hours, so I went to sleep hoping that it would correct, it did correct but not as low as I expected, now it's 20%.

If I was impulsive, I would have bought at market price and I would be making gains already. I just hope it corrects tonight and I fill a good buy order.
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTC now on Coinbase on: May 05, 2017, 02:08:36 PM

Why you say this? LTC is the only coin with viable lightning network implementation with developers actually bothering to move there and develop on top of LTC since BTC is not getting segwit anytime soon (they would have never bothered to do it with other alts but LTC).

LTC will become a big deal in the future, as long as BTC can't get segwit.
710  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible for us to hack some gambling sites? on: May 05, 2017, 01:37:12 PM
It's too hard and the people that manage to hack gambling websites, sell the exploits on the deep web as zero day exploits for very high prices, or keep it to themselves and keep using the exploit until it gets fixed, so this is a business within itself with very experienced people trying to find exploits 24/7, so as an amateur forget about it.

I don't understand why there are people that are thinking this way. Why not they just work out for themselves so that they won't be robbing casino's just for their own happiness or in the first place why they need to gamble. And with those exploits, I really don't believe with those people that are selling in the deep web, most of them are scam.

Yes. Most are scams and probably even contain malware, viruses and remote access trojans of all kinds, but the legit ones are very real. There is big business being done in the deep web with zerodays, and of course, it gets all funded with bitcoin.

$1300 !  yahhhhhhh.

We will be the new wealthy elite (maybe)
As long as the Core team is the most used software, we will be the new wealthy elite because their solid software and conservative approach guarantees the whole thing does not blow up.

With Buggy Unlimited and other nonsense, you can forget about long term wealthy elite dreams.

Thus far, common sense reigns, so lets keep going to the moon and beyond.

Im glad for the recent new of Rafa Nadal, he has finally stablished himself as a top contender when everyone was doubting him. I hope to see Federer also back at top shape. Right now Federer is not a favorite of mine usually in the high level matches because I think Rafa etc are better (even if Federer won the latest Rafa vs Federer one it was really close).

Tennis is a sport where players can keep playing at high level even when they are older so never rule Federer out.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTC now on Coinbase on: May 04, 2017, 01:05:09 PM
Im praying for a fucking dip, I just cant believe my stop loss was the bottom and now this timing of coinbase is fucking me up. Im not losing any money but it feels like im losing on the rocket to mars. Let's hope there's a god damn correction or else im making a hole on my wall due a ragepunch. Im going to try to stay away from looking at the big green candles and come back later because i dont want to be the idiot buying at the top of a pump.

Do not worry.
I also sell @ dip. And I go for ETH instead.

No matter just need to wait till ETH will reach 100 and we will get exactly the same profit as today people get with LTC.Sooner or Latter we will get there.
I hope Tesla will join EEA foundation soon (Ethereum Enterpreise Alliance) Thats why I choosed ETH for long.

Congrate to everyone. It was amazing run, full of endorphin and adrenalin (+ a cool dose of anger see cortisol for me and those who missed train).Mee still shaking Smiley nice chemical coctaile it was indeed.

Im not holding ETH. I should have bought when it was flat at 0.039 but I bought LTC instead, but I got thrown out of LTC because I hit the stop loss after the first pump. So now im watching the fireworks from the sidelines watching the show and usually if you get in the middle of fireworks you end up the retard holding the bag, so im going to wait for further dips. I think LTC has bigger potential to go up than ETH. At the end of the day ETH is an inflationary coin, too complex, I couldn't sleep holding it long term due potential DAOs.

LTC is simpler, and now with segwit, LN and sidechains are a possibility. I just want it to get cheaper to buy a fuckton to hold for a good couple of months and see what happens.
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Last Time. In small words. Why 2MB impossible. Why Soft Fork. Why SegWit First.. on: May 04, 2017, 12:04:58 PM
Ok.

Jhonny's got 3 threads up about mean nasty Core and how they are destroying Bitcoin.

Here is my LAST attempt at explaining 'what is going on' rationally.

1) There is a 'buglet' in Bitcoin that means that you can construct a TXN that uses a lot of time to process / check. Let's not worry about what it is but agree that it exists. The larger the blocks the easier it is to construct this TXN, and IF we had 2MB blocks, right now, you could bring down the network. This issue is fixed with SeqWit. So Core thought, let's introduce SW first, THEN we can make the blocksize bigger. Safely.

2) Soft fork vs Hard-fork. The 'poison pill' Jhonny and Franky keep ranting about is actually because CORE thought that NOT forcing you to upgrade was a GOOD thing. This is a Soft Fork. It means if you don't upgrade - no problem. No Split. We all carry on as before, and all the clever SegWit shit will happen in a way that doesn't affect the old nodes. Safely.

3) Bigger Blocks would ALREADY be here IF we had just upgraded to segwit 6 fucking months ago. This ridiculous stalemate is what is causing this total cluster fuck of a situation.  Once we get SegWit.. oh mama.. ALL the clever things people have dreamed about can START to happen. AND Bigger Blocks!.. Safely.

..

If you are saying - NO! You Bast***ds! We want to jump ship to BU, which has a new consensus model, and software that crashes every 3 weeks, you are NOT acting SAFELY. Fact.

CORE are NOT your enemy.

.. Wake UP! (My New Chant..  Wink) .. before it's toooo late..

Well said. Just look at LTC and imagine what would happen to BTC price.

LTC is nothing but a pump.

started out as sw pump but when coinbase adopted it, could actually get some more use, that is much more real fundamental value than sw.

It all started because of segwit. Without segwit, LTC would be rotting in stagnation, but thanks to segwit, lightning network developers are going to move there, so LTC will get tons of features that are impossible without segwit. Exchanges will show interest and LTC will solidify as a solid altcoin.

Meanwhile BTC remains as it is today due miners not following economic majority. I believe sooner or later the balance will fall into segwit, but until then, LTC remains bullish. There will be ups and downs anyway, but this is no longer an isolated pump and dump, the fundamentals are clear.
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I made a youtube review about POSW coin - check it out! on: May 03, 2017, 10:29:05 PM
Im up 50% already, decided to buy the dip on this thing. I immediately saw the use cases of being able to stake tons of coins at the same time, realized there are no other services like this, looked at the total supply and thought it was undervalued so I put my money where my mouth is and now im going up.

Sure, it's centralized, but so are the rest of exchanges. Be aware of the risks. I don't think there's any worries of an exit scam anytime soon anyway, they would do that once they are really rich, they will continue improving the service for a long time and raking up money on stake fees. Im going to ride this high risk investment and see how it goes. I think $1 is very realistic. Addition in bigger exchanges and deployment of masternodes will pump the price even more.

719  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many coins are really lost forever? on: May 03, 2017, 03:07:19 PM
All of the coins attached to satoshi are pretty much lost for life, so you can count at least 1 million out of the supply. Then you can add at least another million coins lost in a series of disasters, including loss of passwords, loss of hard disks, of pen drives, of trezors, any devices that could store bitcoins.
A good 1 million at least for sure.

So 2 millions out and increasing. There's no way to know for sure tho.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum split to ETH and ETC on: May 03, 2017, 02:16:16 PM
Barry Shillbert is holding big bags of Ethereum Classic, which is why from time to time he will keep pumping it with news in order to not sell at a loss, so don't get too excited, I think the project is going nowhere. Chandler Guo is also holding big bags of ETC. The will keep promoting it, as long as they got bags to sell.
