701  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 05, 2013, 06:40:45 AM
Quote
The representatives of SatoshiDice solemnly promise and warrant never to issue more shares on any other venue nor in any way to dilute existing shareholders at any point in the future.

This isn't dilution, all shares are still equal parts of the company. It's devaluation, sure, but is it dilution?
If we value the shares for the assets behind the shares and the potential for them to make profit then there should be no concern with that Erik sells off more of his private shares as each share still represents the same % of S.DICE hence the backing of the share is the same.
Though if you were looking to speculate and you wanted the price to increase, I understand why you are angry, but that's speculation and it's always a risk.

I think this was a bit sudden though and I would have preferred it with warning, as I woke up by tons of buy orders which are now over priced and I bought tons of shares yesterday so I now don't have any BTC to send to mpex...

702  Economy / Securities / Re: [BF and BTCT] Gamma SatoshiDICE Pass Through on: February 04, 2013, 08:02:17 PM
Just wanted to post here to say that DeaDTerra is helping me out with some decent-sized transactions and he has been very helpful and friendly so far.

Can someone point me to an easy explanation of how to set myself up in WOT so I can start my own rep and help DeaDTerra's with a post?  The website is a little cryptic about how to get yourself listed... unless I missed something.
The way I did it was to ask nicely in bitcoin-OTC for some help Smiley
I am pretty bad with such things otherwise I would help you.
//DeaDTerra

Yes, IRC channel #bitcoin-otc on irc.freenode.net was very helpful for me.  Just got my WoT setup, but now I don't know what to do with -- as it, the only transaction I want to do is buy some SDICE, but I don't know how to use WoT to do so.

I guess I need to go back to #bitcoin-OTC and ask Smiley

DeadTerra, you run a passthrough too, eh?
Mine was actually the original pass through Smiley
Done so with both the blessing of Erik Voorhees and Mircea ^^

If you want to buy large amount of shares 5k+ then please pm me.
I don't want to keep to large walls up due to the volatility of the market, but if you want to buy large amount of shares it can be fixed Smiley
//DeaDTerra
Do you sell the shares for mpex price or do add 3% like usual?
I have been selling where I consider the price stable, right now there's a big wall at 0.0075.
The reason why I am not having a massive wall at the exact MPEX price is because I don't want the risk of a price increase before I can acquire the backing for the shares.
If you want to purchase big amount of shares then PM me and we can fix something Smiley

I got the dividend for https://bitfunder.com/asset/G.SDICE - thank you.

I think that's unrelated.

Unrelated to what? The topic of this thread is the passthroughs for satoshidice on Bitfunder and BTCT?
I think this is highly related and relevant.

not currently, I am only wondering if one of them will go boink because there are much more shares on the other one.

On MPEx there are 10,000,000 shares. All shares on platforms other than MPEx are derivatives of the MPEx shares. There are 674,520 shares issued on bitfunder.

Depending on supply and demand the price of bitfunder shares could go to any number unless there is a way to convert shares from MPEx to bitfunder and vice versa, and I believe DeaDTerra engages in this service regularly according to demand.

As far as we know PT operators are holding at least an equal amount of shares on MPEx to back the number of shares they've issued on other venues. This happens to be the only correct way to handle passthroughs, as nobody is authorized to issue his own S.DICE shares. Investors concerned with any PT or purported PT holdings should solicit proof, which is not hard to do seeing how MPEx issues GPG-signed account statements on demand.

In principle any op that offers to push the shares on MPEx on demand is by this fact proving that he is operating legitimately (as opposed to...hm, fractional reserve brokering, I guess?).

naked shorting
I can defiantly give a MPEX statement of the current holdings in my account no problems Smiley
I am not looking to short any shares and I do trade my shares to MPEX shares if requested.
What's the best and easiest way to prove my holdings?
Just a STAT call to MPEX and then copy paste?
//DeaDTerra
thanks for sheding some light on this.

I have posted two small walls at 0.0076 for 30000 shares on both BTCT and BF,
As the dividend now has been paid and there's a relatively high support for me to buy into Smiley
So anyone who wants to buy shares can do so now.

How do you price them?  Is it essentially a market order here: http://mpex.co/?mpsic=S.DICE ?
Is there any markup or transaction fees?
(probably good things to have in the OP)
Thanks!

With clarification on the transaction process, price and fees I would be interested Smiley
You send me the bitcoins you want to purchase shares with,
I purchase the shares and give you the receipt from MPEX with the amount bought.
I then transfer that amount of GSDPT shares to you on the exchange of your choice.
The only fee is any transfer fee which is incurred and my 5% fee on the dividend.

I am currently moving around some coins to pay a total dividend off 131.0517 BTC,
Which results in a dividend of 0.00019007 BTC per share Smiley
The dividend will be paid tonight or early tomorrow.
Happy S.DICE dividend day! xD

Great news!

Was it from sales of ASICMINER?
No it was from debt from IMSAGUY,
Which was solved by a private deal with IMSAGUY and INAU.

Good new everyone.
I have now gotten back 1000 Bitcoins Smiley
So I will be paying them out later this weeked.
It should be another healthy chunk of coins.

717  Economy / Securities / Re: [Investment fund] Gamma Bitcoin Fund [Closing] on: February 01, 2013, 06:05:39 PM
How are things going? I see you were working on selling ASICMINER shares. Have you done that yet?

There is currently no way to trade ASICMINER yet.

You can do an informal trade facilitated by the ASICMINER team as friedcat (IIRC) said he will honor shares traded between people.
The bids I received were to low for me to sell them, so I decided to keep them for now until there's a open market or we start getting dividends Smiley
//DeaDTerra
What was the average bid? I think us shareholders should have some input.
The highest bid I received was at 0.15 BTC.
I thought this was insufficient.
//DeaDTerra

Thank goodness you didn't sell our ASICMINER cheap.  You are a genius!!!

If you want to settle my GBF account, I'd be happy to accept some of those shares in lieu of BTC.   Grin
Haha,I was pretty sure that FriedCat would come through for me Smiley
I want to state yet again, the account is not a debt it's simply to get a ratio of  how the profit/lose of the fund will be distributed.
I do not owe you the amount, but I will strive towards paying back as much as possible, but I can't guarantee any amount.
I have about 300-400 BTC collected so far, but it's going very very slow ...

718  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] GIPPT (closing down payback is under going) 60.531725% paid. on: February 01, 2013, 02:17:45 PM
Anyways, I managed to sell off my remaining shares for 0.35 BTC each (meaning I got ~95 Bitcents on the coin) which is close enough for me. It was a long ride but finally it paid off trusting a few members of this community. With this I got back enough BTC to only have a minimal loss after exposing to pirateat40 (and being stupid to not pull out before I went abroad for some time where I couldn't read news) - thanks to DeadDTerra for sticking around and a big and hearthy "f*** you" to quite a lot of people in this community (of which far too many do not even have a scammer tag!) for intransparently and stupidly gambling with the money and trust I gave them.

I certainly learned a lot and that alone is worth the handfull of BTC I lost over this.

Edit:
Oh, and I probably lost more BTC because of DMC, Gigamining, usagi's "ventures" and Bitbond than because of pirateat40 - go figure!
First of I want to apologize for the horrible and bumpy ride that I might have caused you. But I am happy to hear you got out a live with minimal loses, a lot better then most other pirate investors.
This whole journey has taught me a lot, let's just hope that we all learnt a lesson out of this bullshit and that we won't do anything similar again. If we do, then lets remind each other to stay out of trouble Tongue

How many shares will there be available on bitfunder and on btctc ?
If you are looking for big amounts of shares then contact me and I can setup bigger walls.
The thing is that I don't want to put up to big walls in case the price goes up again, because then I have to pay the difference out of my own pocket.
