Impatience has become a virtue in this new society of ours..
Unfortunately, that is the truth. People are less and less patient and always want things now. People want the price to boom and cash in their investments quick. Everyone wants something for nothing.

what proportion of your country's welfare bill goes to these types of people? in the uk half goes to pensioners and a quarter goes to people who have jobs. it pisses me off too seeing money going to these layabout cockroaches but dealing with them alone isn't going to lead to significant savings.
I would say about half of the pensioners work. In the building I live in though nobody works. They just do drugs and borrow money from others.

I use Bitcoin QT. It is the original standard wallet and offers good enough security for everyday transactions. For my phone I use Bitcoin for Android. I like the QR code scanner and how I can easily pay for coffee with my phone.

Nice advice. I am also looking for a way to save money. I don't know why it is so easy to spend money for buying things that is not so necessary. While the things we need the most and needed big amount of money we feel so hard to do savings and the worst is in the end we take loans on banks. Need to change before it becomes a habit I think it is a good start for all of us if we do not take any loans on the bank (except a possible mortgage) or use a credit card. This is actually the worst way to spend money because of the interest you have to pay. And even with regard to mortgages, please spend a lot of time looking for which kind of mortage is the best for YOU! Remember, what mortgage is the best for you according to the bank, often is not the best for you but the best one for the bank.. Nowadays also crowd-funding websites arise for providing people loans. Maybe we all should look more into those websites and leave banks as they are. Credit cards are a death sentence. The best thing to do if you have a credit card with debt is to cut them up and stick to spending debit and cash only. It always cost way more money to pay for everything ever. If it were not needed to travel, I would not have one. I definately agree with you, although the guarantees of using Credit Cards are nice. However, as this costs a premium, I would not suggest you to use one. In fact, most people are spending money with their CC which they don't even have: spend the money you have. The same applies for people loaning money to buy for example a car. Don't! Save money and buy a car with the money you own by yourself. There is no need to drive the nicest or fastest cars. In fact, even a few dents in your car does not matter: this can save you thousands of dollars! The thing about credit cards is that they offer rewards and cash back to the buyer, at the cost of a fee to the seller. So for me, I get cashback on all CC purchases, as well as additional insurance coverage and some other smaller benefits that probably aren't significant to most people (road side assistance and towing). I have my credit card set up to automatically be paid, so I never incur any interest, but benefit from the rewards. To your point though, for anyone not planning to pay off the full balance, a credit card is a terrible way to spend money, but as long as you always pay the full balance, there is a benefit to the buyer from the rewards programs. In terms of cars, I agree there is no need to spend beyond your means, but as a car/motorcycle enthusiast, I have had great experiences in motorsports, that were very worth the cost to me. I never spent beyond my limit or went into debt. More recently I have an economy car, and rarely even drive anymore as I live in the city, but miss the excitement I used to experience earlier. Yes I do agree with you on that. If you able to pay off your full balance, you end up not paying interest and actually get rewards. That's nice if you plan to pay off your debit. But if you don/'t plan to pay the full balance, you will end up paying a lot down the line.

OP is a whining alt account scammer ManyPoofs, who made a bunch of fake "loans" to his other wallets and he is now screwing honest users like xetsr who call him on his bullshit.

Bitcoin Core for the desktop/laptop on all operating systems is the best wallet to use for everyday use, but you may want to get a Tezor for long term storage.

So I am considering buying a brand new top-of-the-line custom build PC to play games on. I am looking at a lot of the pros and cons of many different coins here, and I was wondering which coin would be the easiest to mine on an x64 operating system and have the best ROI? I currently have my MacBook and I have the temptation to sell my old PS3 and use that to buy a new desktop, but I also wanted to mine a coin that has a good ROI.

Now that the price of Bitcoin has collapsed, now is the time to buy. I am HODLing my earnings from the signature campaign hoping for the XT stuff to clear up. By then the price will go up So right now it's better if I keep saving the bitcoins I earn from sig campaign and buy bitcoins to HODL.

It is unfortunate people game and abuse the system on this forum. Far too often I see the most ridiculous loan requests posted here. There are many ways people come up with excuses to not repay the loan. I probably won't bother in the future with getting a loan from a stranger in the future.

Gambling doesn't fix my life and doesn't wreck my life, for me it's simple like a hobby.
The same for me. maybe If I were addicted to gambling it would wreck my live, but I just have fun and can easily stop gambling any moment. A lot of people say that but can you really? Would you gamble if no money was involved? Probably not, at least not on games like dice or slots which, for me, are not fun unless money is involved and of course im winning not loosing. If people really understood how bad their odds is when playing certain games, no one would play them but i guess itīs like smoking, everyone knows is bad but a lot of people still do it. gambling is meant to include gambling... games are not interesting at all if you are not using money as you dont get a thrill of risking money The thrill of risking money is stupid really, if thatīs what you are looking for in gambling, you are definitely an addict, an addict to adrenaline i guess and loosing money. An addict or an addict try to compensate for his losses with this justification. Some people think they can get ahead in life by doing absolutely nothing.

If XT dies off that would be a great thing for those who have invested in Bitcoin. All of the controversy has brought the price right down. Once XT is gone for good the price will soar.

For me, Bitcoin is a source of income for savings for for me, yes the price matters. I try to follow the Wall Observer thread to find good times to buy and sell Bitcoin. I am in it for the long run though, as I see it as the way of the future. Over time, people will adopt to it.

Are you legally insane or something? There is no way the CIA is going to partner with you on this. Sometimes I wonder how crazy the next person is going to come across.

You forgot your tl;dr - "I didn't secure my coinz and now I gots no munneyz. u r all thiefs and pedos."
Honestly I can understand why you're mad, but come on dude. If you dropped your wallet in Times Square without any kind of protection or ID would you really be surprised when it was emptied? Encrypt, freeze, take offline. Bitcoin seems to be extremely safe if you just take care of your property.
EDIT: Oh wait, i just noticed you made your account just to complain. I call bull crap. Never happened.
I call bull crap too. It is probably a bs story that is trying to get the guy some Bitcoin donated to his address. Basically just an elaborate cover up for some begging. Around the part of the city I live in there are a lot of people asking me for spare change, spare cigarettes (even though I don't smoke) and now people are asking me for money online. What has this world come to? Everyone wants something for nothing.

You have to have a portfolio and lots of examples of your work to show potential employers in order to get hired as a programmer or writer or designer online. I agree that creativity is key when you search the internet for opportunities. There is definitely no shortage and the pay is most of the time slave labor, but it's what we've got in today's economy.

Finally found it, so this is the legendary thread where, the OP "laszlo" was the legendary guy that paid 10,000 BTC for 2 pizzas. Man you will enter in history books as the greatest EPIC FAIL of all time, no disrespect, but really this is a very very very very unlucky event that you had gone through. Its also somewhat funnny, while somewhat sad, but in any case, it is a monumental event in the history of BTC that will be forever carved into the history of the blockchain What are you talking about? At the time it was worth it and it was a great AND smart move that supports bitcoin to this day. Think about all the media coverage that was written regarding this - it basically promoted bitcoin! No one can predict the future. I dont think this single event had so much importance to shape bitcoin, but what I know is that that poor guy lost like 10,500,000 $ on some pizza. So its a bit weird , but yes i agree partially, his great loss was our great win (via media circus) This event will continue to be a history sir, but returned again to become bitcoin not be as present and may present other coin like magi(altcoin) coins could be as big as bitcoin later. we do not know what the future. I don't think he lost anything actually since it counts by the value at deal time, I think it was a high possibility that he would have sold them at that time too for a close valus to the pizza's. There are people who had thousands of bitcoins but lost or forgot there private keys/passwords... A potential unrealized gain is still a loss. If you dont know about it, its still a loss, but you just dont know it is. For example: if today morning you would have gone to another street, you would have found a thrown away lottery ticket on the ground, that would turn out to be a jackpot winner. So you lost 100,000,000$ worth of prize. But since you dont know this you think you didnt. Do you get my point? I agree it's the same, but agian Bitcoin is one big gamble. At the end of the day who knew what the value of Bitcoin would end up becoming. Things take time to establish and gain value.

Never use PayPal to buy Bitcoin. Try a site like LocalBitcoin.com and find someone to trade you Bitcoins somewhere near where you live. This is the best alternative and you always avoid being scammed.
